AB Nov 03 2021 5:51 pm In "Pawn", his acting was very immersive and I could only imagine very few actors to fit the role he portrayed in it. It was a film that made me cry many times, and in the ending it was mostly because of Sung Dong-Il's subtle acting that said more than a thousand words with only minimal changes of his expressions.

I love his interaction with children. Truest, relatable and down to earth!! The clips on YouTube always make me laugh!

Novita Mar 29 2020 10:03 am I was fond of this Ahjussi since I watched Appa Odiga season 1. He resembles my dad a lot, in his comical character. My dad passed away at new year's eve 2018. Since then i committed myself to watch all Sung Dong Il's drama and movie. One at a time. I was surprise to know he has the same birth date with my late dad, April 27. And I was even more surprised to know he cast in The Chronicle of Blood Merchant, one book that has a deep meaning in it. I think he may look hard on the outside, but he has a gentle heart. I totally respect and admire you, Mr.Song. Please stay healthy and be happy.

Whenever he is in the scene, I'm more looking forward to his acting than the protagonist. He's actually the reason why I decided to watch appa odiga. I don't usually like kids but when I found out he was on it, I went for it! I love seeing his son relationship is growing stronger. The show also helped make realize the importance of his family, not only with his son, but with his daughters and wife too,
