Yoon So-So (Lee Yeon-Hee) works as a travel guide in France. She leads a group of tourists on a package tour. The travelers all have their own stories. San Ma-Roo (Jung Yong-Hwa) joined the tour after being dumped by his girlfriend. Kim Gyung-Jae (Choi Woo-Sik) has been dating for the past 10 years. A mysterious man (Yoon Park) seems to follow Yoon So-So. Jung Yeon-Sung (Ryu Seung-Soo) joined the package tour with a partner, but he will not reveal what kind of relationship they are in. Han So-Ran (Ha Shi-Eun) is a web designer and agonizes over staying single or marriage. Oh Gab-Soo (Jeong Gyu-Su) is extremely stubborn. Han Book-Ja (Lee Ji-Hyeon) spent most of her life taking care of her husband. Na Hyun (Park Yoo-Na) is a woman whom other people cannot guess her age.

They all do not want to become involved in each other's personal lives, but, while they travel together, they become closer and develop relationships.

K Oct 22 2021 10:31 pm If you are looking for a well-balanced romantic, comedy, slice of life then this is for you. The first episode is a bit slow but if you continue to watch from episode 2 you will enjoy it. Genius writer, great casts. If you are planning to visit France ( hopefully after this pandemic) then this drama might help about basic France tour. That’s why I live watching Korean dramas. They have wide selection of genres to watch, and some dramas like this one, is quite unique. I have watched this twice and I like scenes from the last two or three episodes.

cia Oct 09 2021 10:56 am I'm sorry for coming this late. back then in 2017 I watch this drama and I found it was so boring, but then I watch it again this week and I find it was a very good drama. when this drama comes to the end it feels so sad like I'm gonna separate with them from traveling lol. at first, I watch this drama for uri oppa yonghwa but end up I'm falling in love with the other cast T.T

please give us another episode or maybe a season 2?

ad Jun 28 2020 12:03 am I had a really fun time watching it with the beautiful setting, story-line and cinematography. The series has a perfect blend of laughter, joy, sorrow, sadness, love and romance. There were a few hilarious and sad scenes that had me on tears. The writer did a great job on making each character's story interesting which made the whole story just perfect. Not a single boring episode that I could remember. Every character's story could've easily been the main story-line. The series is a true work of art, heartwarming, and very fitting to the setting. 97/100

It allows the viewers to go on a journey through several of France's tourist attractions and gives different point of view through the different characters of the drama without being boring and draggy. I've watched this drama twice just for the wonderful cinematography.

No, he is not in a relationship with Yeon Sung’s soon to be wife, but turned out to be that they were shooting a film or something. O was fooled too until I saw them on Episode 11 I think..

I’m an Anglophiled Chinese Malaysian and I only could understand through the English sub tiltes. I laughed and cried. I felt the loneliness, isolation and pain SoSo went through. She made the whole thing work! I just returned from my trip to France with my husband two months ago. After watching this yesterday..Wow....I want to go again to capture the magic this movie portrayed. And it has already been my fourth time? and I’m 58 years old! I’m a busy Director of a Language School who will always make time to watch your movies because you were able to make something simple (the ordinary lives of your people) into something great. mig Jan 01 2018 12:27 am wow!! one of the best dramas ive ever watched! it feels as if i’m travelling to france!( learned so many things about france and its history) i really love the plot and the stories of each couple, the older couple make me cries, 7 years couple sometimes annoyed me but i love them, ‘affair’ couple which really unexpected for me and soso maru couple which so hott and so lovely! the ost is the best too!! i will recommend youu this drama, its not boring at all and pdnim, the package season 2 please??? xx

Moo Dec 16 2017 12:00 pm I love this drama so much because it’s different. I loved that everyone had a part in this series. You get to understand each character, see why they went on this vacation. What was going on in their personal life — and what each person felt before and during the meantime. It’s such a cliffhanger because what happens to everyone!!! If there ever is a season two, please bring back the same cast — different country — different time. Everyone had such an awesome chemistry with one another!!

I love fantasy, thriller, criminal and other genres too and I've watched some but this kind of drama brought us to reflect what we've done this year before planning what we want to do for the coming year. Anyways, I love the scenery

dia Dec 07 2017 9:16 am I never thought that there would be another drama that can come close to my all time favorite kdrama "dear my friends" but The Package just kicked it out of the first place!

I will never understand the taste and preference of the Korean viewers because most of the brilliant dramas always receive low ratings hajiman I also like the fact that it instantly becomes underrated and gets rid of the expectations.

I love that it only has 12 eps because it'll leave us wanting more and avoid the case of being dragged out. if ever they will make a 2nd season I hope it will be the same cast but in a different country this time.

Min Dec 07 2017 1:10 am The Package was amazing to say the least. It had a great balance of humor and romance. The characters were all well written, and grow on you as you watch. You can actually relate and feel for them in certain parts of the series. Chemistry between them all, specifically Yeon-Hee and Yong-Hwa, was beyond expectation. There are times that would make you cringe, laugh, cry, and be mad, and really just feel how they felt. I don't have a problem with an open ending. Matter of fact I prefer open endings as it allows viewers to leave it all to their imagination.

This definitely falls under the, as Spotify would say it, 'The One's That Got Away' category. It's a drama that could easily be overlooked. Thankful that I discovered it just in time.

yhyh Dec 04 2017 4:19 pm I need more! Season 2 please PDNIM! To much was left open for debate. Does Ma Ru go back to France with So So or does she stay in Korea. I owuld have liked to see Ma Ru and so So attend her brothers wedding. Does the sad older woman survive her cancer? Does the 7 year couple get married? Does the "affair" couple Dad get married and does his daughter go to director's school? Does Ma Ru settle his dispute with his company and save the people of Africa from the untested drugs? There's enough material here for at least 4 more episodes or a second season. You left us hanging with no closure for these people we came to love!

Kim Nov 30 2017 3:34 am After reading all the reviews here, i decided to watch this drama..Honestly, I thought this drama was 'meh' but it gets better towards to end. The first 6 episodes were incredibly slow and felt like a waste of time. I especially didnt like Han So Ran's story because all she did was whine that her life was boring, so i skipped some of her part. However, starting form episode 7, the drama improved and finally got my attention. I managed to pull through til the end. The scenery though is incredibly beautiful. I became more understanding of the old man as i continue watching. I do like Yong Hwa in this drama because his character is somewhat awkward and funny. I didnt feel connected with this drama as i normally do with others. This type is just not my cup of tea. However, this is just my opinion.

I hope for a Season 2 for the continuation of the love of Maroo and So so and all of the characters.

lexandlove Nov 25 2017 7:47 pm What a lovely gem! Watched it without any expectations and finished it blown away by how much I've gotten attached with all of the characters. As soon as I read "Thank You for watching The Package" in the subs, I miss them already. I love that this drama stayed true to itself until the very end. No unrealistic villains, no unrealistic plot twists, no cliched conflicts, love triangles etc. that we more often than not see in Korean dramas. The balance between comedy, romance and angst to a certain extent was done brilliantly! All the characters are real people you can relate to. Here, you have a male and female lead that you can root for with or without the romance. Oftentimes, we wish for a happy ending because that can only be the saving grace for a drama but not in this drama. This drama did not need a saving grace at all. It's also quite amazing how both leads are uniquely charming in different ways yet both so relatable and realistic. I didn't know Jung Yonghwa can do comedy! What a pleasant surprise as well. And let's not forget those perfectly executed intimate scenes between Jung Yong Hwa and Lee Yeon Hee! 10/10

It made me howl out of laughter, it made me bawl my eyes out, and it definitely made me wish I was living a life like that of Yoon So So. It's a must-watch for people who love slice-of-life dramas, complex characterization, and beautiful scenery. If you're wondering whether it's worth watching, just do it! Those 12 hours+ of my life were well-spent.

Soso Nov 20 2017 7:48 am Yonghwa and Yeonhee chemistry in the drama is just simply off the charts.. I never expected that these two will matched each other so well especially in their banter and romance in the drama. The way they portray their romance was so real and both were extremely passionate in their kissing scenes. Hands down the hottest and best kdrama kiss ever. It made me even questioned whether are they even acting or not since it seems so natural between between them.

Episode 7 is easily the best episode for me. It's seriously so romantic that it will make your love cells grow. And Yonghwa as Maroo here completely stole my heart away. He's direct with his feelings, smart, wise, firm with his decision and a smooth talker..extremely smooth with words that makes you fall for him.

Aside from the both leads, I love the other characters back stories too. Due to the drama being too short, I hope for an epilogue or a season 2 if it can get the greenlight and I'm crossing my fingers hard. We need more of Maroo and Soso.

Yeon Hee is so beautiful when she is with Yong Hwa, normally women look beautiful when they feel comfortable or when she is in love. Episode 4 to Episode 7 is my favourite, I love to see Maru and Soso kiss. Amazing kiss, so intimate kiss. I need another drama for this couple. Hope to see them get married soon.

Their chemistry, no joke, amazing chemistry that I couldnt believe it happen between this two beautiful people. I hope to see more of them in another project. Since the ending is too short, I felt like ThePackage shoud have Season 2 or epilogue. Other cast is doing really well too, all of them are great actor. I laugh, I cry and laugh again. This drama give me a new point of view in life. Hope to have season 2 .

What a fun drama - but with drama, romance some social commentary and 2 romantic leads I will wish to be in "THE PACKAGE season 2" or another drama. Jung Yong Hwa did his best work ever here and Lee Yeon Hee was radiant. Their chemistry was evident both on screen and off screen. I know a lot of the comments here about Lee Yeon Hee lack of acting skills are driven by shippers of Jung Yong Hwa and other women, but I found her to be extremely good in this drama. She glowed, she was a goddess in "The Package". Well done to the entire cast and crew.

Amazing chemistry, it's hard to tell wether they're acting or they're really really in love, they're so natural. And not to forget other 3 couple, all of them did really well. I would miss all the package family. Hope to see more YongHwa n YeonHee in the other project drama or variety show.

It's actually like 4 love stories rolled into one - old couple, young couple that is worst than an old couple, affair couple (although I'm beginning to think the young girl is really his daughter that he has taken on a vacation after his wife died!) and then the tragic couple - Ma Ru and So So - who may have found true love. It's good to see Yong Wha in a thoughtful, adult drama that still has a mix of comedy in it. Great cast, good writing and direction and beautiful scenes of France. There must be something about the light there - every actor/actress glows in this drama.

The breathtaking scenery make your eyes traveling along with them. The sound and the music like healing effect. The romance makes your heart flutter. Every lines well-thought. Specially the cast Lee Yeon Hee and Jung Yong Hwa are amazing and beautiful. This drama really IS full of package of charms. Heart them

Sorry to say, she has limited facial expression and a bit bland especially the scene with JYH. I like chemistry JYH and his ex gf more than with LYH, even with Yoon Park is a lot better and natural. Pretty disappointed with the female lead cast.

Revealing when all of them were taken out of their normal & everyday context. The vacation, in this case in france became a significant place for reflection & recognizing their woes & foes in their love life! Amazing. It reveals some different stories of every traveler and through this drama we can learn the historical places in France... And Yong Hwa, although he plays a funny role here, its amazing... Great job for him, he acts as well as he sings and writes his songs... ^_^

The most interesting is how we discover everybody's backstories and it's not always what we anticipated, exactly what I was hoping for ! Also, so happy to rediscover my country like this, though french people are unfortunately not as open minded as depicted in the drama... :')

I love seeing him move a lot and do comic acts, makes him look like his real self especially when he is on stage (CNBLUE fan here ?). So far the storyline is interesting and the place is so beautiful. This makes me want to travel and go to France as well.......

V. Oct 14 2017 9:16 pm I’m extremely impressed how good Episode 1was! This is not your typical kdrama..very refreshing and the writer is witty to add so many comedic elements in it. I love all of the characters in the drama..makes you want to know their backstory more. Maroo is so funny...yonghwa really nailed this character so well.

Both the leads, Jung Yong-Hwa and Lee Yeon-Hee look very good together. i feel the chemistry, since they are about at the same age. I kind disappointed after seeing Lee yeon hee in reunited world since she paired up with a much younger man.
