The first movie I saw her acting skills was K-2 and I really enjoyed the movie so much more. Kim My-Kyung is a guaranteed asset to any movie or k-drama. The most recent show I saw Kim My-Kyung in was "Another Miss Oh". Kim My-Kyung had me laughing and crying throughout this K-drama. I look forward to all of her future work and I am working on viewing all her portfolio of work. I would like to so bold as to call her the Meryl Streep of Korea. I hope casting directors recognize her lead role abilities and we can enjoy Kim My-Kyung starring roles in the near future. Kim My-Kyung has so much talent to inspire and emotionally move audiences around the world.

When I first open up a new series to watch, I am comforted to know you will be in it. I love to learn about the customs of Asian countries, especially family dynamics. I appreciate the authenticity you bring to a series and the passion you reveal through your characters. Like I'm watching a documentary, it is not hard for me to suspend disbelief that you are acting in a series. About suspending disbelief; Just fought through the tears in the last episode of Hi, Bye Mama and I immediately switched to a scene in Was It Love, when I saw Kim Mi-Kyung running to the hospital room to console yet another daughter. Her characters don't look like acting. I am new to Netflix and Korean series and films. In five months, my list probably includes hundreds of hours of films and series. I will search for more productions that have Kim Mi-Kyung in the cast.

Kdramalover Mar 31 2018 8:57 am In whatever drama she appears, Kim Mi-Kyung brightens the screen with the quality, intelligence, warmth and appropriateness of her acting. She has presence and depth.

KIm Mi-Kyung seems to be very good at selecting the drama in which she will act. I completely agree with other comments that her presence in the cast of a drama promises a good series.

Her acting range is unique from the most serious to the most humorous. Right now, I am watching her in Grand Prince as the wife of the Chief scholar and mother of main character Ja-Hyon. Some of the scenes she plays are serious and warm. Others are hilarious, like the night scene with her powerful, stiff and pompous scholar husband. Yet 김미경 never disrupts the flow of the story because she has a light touch.

She has my vote!

Very versatile, even on supporting roles... The role that stand her the most is on HEALER, playing ahjumma... Atleast on healer, she's included on one of the 4 major roles, not just supporting role... and to think, she has acted twice or more with Park Min Young (mother role in Sungkyungkwan Scandal) and with other actress/actors as well....

I am especially impressed with her work in HEALER. In the first several episodes, the camera shows only her face and hair as she talks into a microphone, looking at a computer screen, seated, hardly moving, and yet she is AWESOME. Intense, funny, compelling, amazing.

It's not always easy to get high marks for those who portray the middle-aged and older parts as fans are so wrapped up in idols and tend to vote down those who make us dislike them on the screen. When I first encountered Kim Mi-Kyung she was making things tough for 'Yang Gukwha' (Goo Hye Sun) in 'Pure 19', so I was less than happy with her too. But this lady is one fine actress as is evidenced by her extended resume. I salute her and her fellow age group professional actors/actresses who are the glue that holds so many dramas together...Aja!

She may not appear on the roster, which sometimes occurs, but she's definitely in that drama. Her character and her acting raise the overall excellence of The Slingshot. I was ecstatic to see her.
