I have expectation this drama will thrilling as The Glory did to me, but it's not. A bit disappointing but it'll be nice if Hye Sung comeback become a strong and savage woman as tipical Makjang drama ?

Woobin Nov 22 2022 2:56 am I have just finished binge-watching this drama. I enjoyed it's fast-pace and will definitely watch another season. It is satire, sometimes melodramatic, and too good for real life in some scenes but it is not a bad break from heavy dramas which really portray sad realities. SPOILER: The people commenting about the chemistry between the male and female lead (and the fact that they did not even have a single kiss scene) probably have never been in a mature relationship. The way the characters interacted is a really good portrayal of a relationship that sees a life-long commitment in mind, and not just based on hookups and sex. It is the kind of relationship which knows that intimacy isn't just about being physical. I thoroughly saw the romance between them even only through their gazes and little touches. And of course in the way they treat each other. I am hoping for more of them so I would be really glad if there is another season. This series will be something I would watch and re-watch.

At the end of the day, Lee wants someone who can be a mother to his child while having someone who can hold conversation. Eventhough no kissing, the longing in their eyes and the care/concern that both of them display to each other was what love is. Hoping they would include one kiss scene and hug between them. Mr Cha do not share his problems and leave with no trace/contact when they are together before. No one would want to trust someone like that again.

slc Aug 20 2022 12:18 pm This drama was a pleasant surprise. It sounds like so many other Kdramas but had enough of a different storyline to make it interesting. Since it was only 8 episodes, I was so engrossed I binged it all at once. The main actors did a great job selling their characters, both the good and evil ones. I was so happy to see Lee Hyun-Wook portraying an appealing male lead for once. And Jung Eugene? Who knew she could embody evil so well after a role like the lovesick, but very competent, with the suffer no fools attitude, editor in Romance is a Bonus Book?!?!

As for some of the comments below like the size of hospital rooms -- only those VIP ones are so large and luxurious to emphasize how wealthy some of the characters are -- in this case, the wealth and generosity of Cha Seok-jin. And Lee Hyun-Wook not reading the contract with his long-time friend carefully? I saw that as an example of the trust Lee had in his friend which made the betrayal so much more evil. I say this as an attorney -- I still found this believable and was not offended. I was much more offended by the behavior of the other friend who definitely committed malpractice in so many ways by not representing the interests of Lee's company competently. Lee and Seo's romance not developed convincingly? For an 8 episode drama, I think it was not bad. After all, they both shared hurt and betrayal from their ex-spouses and a love for, and protective attitude toward, their children.

Choi was a damn good catch, so why not him. She seemed more intent to revenge rather than having romantic relationship with either man.

It’s funny because everyone is trying to get revenge but it’s like every time someone is always one step ahead but In reality neither of them are lol. The theme, the setting, the plot Everything, it just so good. Hope to see a second season. One thing I do love is Choi Yoo-Sun, she is a freaking goddess. I love her composure and patience. The only time she lost herself was when she finally spoke up but other than that, she is someone who I aspire to be. Just so unbothered.

Episode 6 should have been episode 8 and ended all. If there's a season 2 maybe I'll start watching it but if it's more of the same I'll have to give it a thumbs down.

I actually don't mind whether Hye Seung married Seok Jin or Hyung Ju, they're both great men. But looking at their children, it seems the ending is good enough and I love it. It's good that Jun Ho will have a great new mom as well as a sister, and Minji will have a brother. Hye Seung and Hyung Ju seems to be able to suppprt and comfort each other, although this drama lacks romance between them.

Future kdrama star Jul 20 2022 3:23 pm Gripping, thrilling and fun! This drama deserves a full 16 episodes. The writer and director did a great job squeezing so many drama and shock into the 8 episodes. It was an exciting ride that left me wanting more. This drama leaves you thinking about what's going on between the lines. A lot of power and politics at play. This is common in the elite marriages. The description said the drama is a satirical look at marriage agencies and the elite. The acting was excellent! I threw many cushions Jin Yoo Hui when she appeared on screen LOL. Kim Hee Seon was flawless. Lee Hyun Wook, Park hoon and Cha Ji Yeon were exceptional. I think the lack of love feeling between Lee Hyung-Ju and Seo Hye-Seung was hinted at the beginning. They both didn't want to remarry and were forced into the agency by their mother's. The director did a great job of showing us at the end that marriage to this couple is something they did for their families. No one else was there in attendances. The couple have love but not gushing. This drama should sweep the awards. Season 2 please!

I dont feel the love they express from the drama. I dont feel romantic to see they are together , In this drama I can see that Kim Hee Seon try her best reserve herself from any hugging, kissing and so on... But Both of them are great actor/actress

The cast was great, played their parts to a tee…the chemistry bubbling over at every turn. You won’t be able to stop watching this must see! No spoiler here but the ending will make you hoot?❤️ Thank you screenwriter, director & cast. Yup…just Loved this one.

Just 1 comment to make.... wardrobe and accessories of female Lead (KHS) contradic with her role in the drama. My understanding is that she is widowed, and left with a huge debt against her house, a contract teacher and trying to make ends meet. Though her acting perfectly portrays the role but this is ruined by wearing all Luxury items she is wearing in the drama...as in ysl loewe gucci botega.....

The wife didn’t get revenge because she was mad at the mistress for ruining her marriage. The first time the wife and mistress met, the wife even believed the mistress’s accusation that her husband is a rapist which takes a lot of courage. She got revenge because the mistress stole her husband’s money which caused her and her daughter to lose their home and become low income. Also, the mistress ruined her husband’s reputation by accusing him of being a rapist which would’ve hurt her daughter had it been publicly revealed. Even though the husband was a cheater, he is still her daughter’s father and the mistress caused the daughter to lose her father. Also, the mistress is a repeat offender and would’ve deceived more men and hurt more people had she not been stopped by the wife. Did u even watch the show?

At first, I was hesitant to watch it for I thought it would be stressful but it wasn't. It may only have 8 episodes but it was able to capture my interest until the end and it did not leave me hanging. The cast and the story was great, the emotions was superb. It really is a Must watch.

I Hate this plot. Husband made décision to abandon his family after 15 years of sacrifice from wife. He only regret it because mistress used him for money. I don't get why wife needs to get revenge on mistress. The mistress didn't even do anything to her personnally. Husband allowed her to happen. Wife should leave with daughter and live happier instead of this weak ass révenge.

Male leads need to look at their FL in such a way or drama will fall flat for me. This story pure melodrama & escapism, but alot of fun. 2nd leads also very attractive, good cheesy acting all around by veterans we've seen time and time again. I enjoyed! You will too if looking for lightweight diversion.

Also we need to see that one happy family vibe for Minji and Junho What about the ex wife?? The crazy lawyer?? Did the Junho’s grandma just accept the marriage??

He looks so fime as a father of teenager ☺️ Anyway the drama is really good, I’ll give 10/10 if only they gave us 1 hour epilogue. Its a bit rush, as I really want to get a closure how perfect their family will be. Wth hyung ju getting call appa by minji, or how junho finally have seo teacher as his mother.

Normally, I avoid revenge or marraige genere but I was attracted mainly because of Kim Hee Sun... Like the story and chemistry of main casts.. However, vilainess is not enough to portray her character to be disgusted .. just try to act disgusted Worth to watch.

The main actors did amazing especially Eugene and Cha Ji Yeon! It’s definitely a bit fast spaced but I feel like they did a pretty good job fleshing out the main story in just 8 episodes! I finished it in 1 day! The last scene definitely leaves it open for a season 2 and I already can’t wait haha!

Also HyeSeung + HyungJun….. love them so much!

Like a daytime soap concentrated in 8 episodes. Instead of being about an awesome revenge, it showcased the endless resilience and wiliness of the villain.

A Jul 15 2022 10:26 am First 4 eps set up the storyline and then the pace picked up starting ep 5, but I felt that it became too fast towards the end. Thinking because the series only had 8 episodes and with so many things that happened, some parts felt lacking and could have been explained more. Somewhat predictable but enjoyable to binge. Final scene was a good setup for a possible Season 2 if ever it caters to the next generation chaebol or the rich kids. I think the series could have benefitted with 2 more eps to flesh out minor storylines.
