"Glamorous Temptation" takes over MBC's Monday & Tuesday 21:55 time slot previously occupied by "Hwajung" and followed by "Monster" on March 28, 2016.
First script reading took place August 16, 2015 at MBC Broadcasting Station in Sangam, South Korea. The first script reading included Kim Sae-Ron and Nam Joo-Hyuk who play the main characters when they were teens.

Andrea Depp Oct 14 2022 10:26 am First off despite the many comments bashing the female lead , i find the female lead to be very good via acting. She played the role well! Its how her character was written hence her being the way she was in the series! Those commenting harshly about her roles go write your own scripts. Smh! The second female.. Cha Ye-Ryun, shes so expressionless. Like wth? Seen her in many Kdramas and she has no expression at all. Its like someone who had botox. No facial expressions! I absolutely love Choi Gang-Hee. And Joo Sang-Wook! Not done watching the series. But so far so good.

Park Min Oct 06 2022 1:27 pm Weak ending! After all this commotion, the absolute bare minimum they could do is to slap a better ending, it left me with a bitter taste. The flashback in the first 4 episodes made the drama to have a weak start. What a joke of a revenge story this is! Forgiving most parties this easily and seeing them becoming ideal human beings with a flip of switch. They ruined many lives over the years and eventually they faced no consequences. Isn't it ironic that Seok Hyun's daughter is a piece of shit psycho despite how deep his love for her mother was?

The number of cast members felt too small for a 50 episode drama. Subsequently, the story also felt limited for what it had to offer and the plot stretched too thin. A long jaded 50 episode of push and pull between the Kang's family members, they had an opportunity to build a bigger plot but not much was going on beyond the Kang's house. The entire plot line of "marrying for revenge" is a whole big mess I don't want to get into.

The drama had one of the weakest female leads in a revenge story. Throughout the 50 episodes all we can see is her being tossed around from everyone like a piece of trash. Even when she attempts to fight back it's weak af. A proper female lead for a revenge story is a one that gets fierce, offensive and aggressive in the second half. This drama also had "things that were too excessive but I guess it's a melodrama" kind of cliches: the parrot, shipping container, steel beams, 15 adults chasing 1 7-yo girl, satellite images and questionable technical stuff. Overall, it's kinda watchable.

And i dont have seen any single scene for assemblywoman in her office or in the community as a politician/assemblywoman. But i didnt skip any single episode,for me this kdrama should be in 24 ep or 30 ep only. Mabuhay

I have read that is just a waste of time because the ends is bad!!! So I'm in between, can anyone tell me if is a "happy" ending or "bad" where the main lead dies!!!??? Anyways, I'm still gonna give it a try!!!

Hyo May 31 2016 1:04 am This was a very good drama to watch. I love all of the characters and also the leading couple of this amazing drama. It was such a long journey for me but i don't regret it at all. The acting is very powerful and the female lead especially did a very nice job delivering her lines and emotions to the audiences. Doesn't mean her lack of beauty makes her disqualified to lead dramas. Just like all those pretty faces actress not everyone of them are good at acting. Quite a number of them can only sell their beauty but not talent but this woman is not. Thank you Misd Gang Hee for sharing your talent to us and also thank you to all of the cast involved in this drama. Everyone does a very spectacular job.

And those comments about Choi Kang Hee is ignorant. She is an amazing actress. I liked her since "Protect the Boss" and just because she does not have the average korean plastic surgery face, doesn't mean she can not be the main lead. And no comment to Joo Sang Wook. Hot af.

Shin Eun-Soo is one of the most unsympathetic heroines I ever saw in k-dramas. This drama is a wastage of good acting skills of Joo Sang-Wook and Jung Jin-Young. Nice music however.

viv Mar 30 2016 1:25 am I think I have seen most of Joo Sang Wook work and this is one of his best characer, I love all of his expressions especially tonight episode (think 47) when he found out that kwon joon hyuk was the illegitimate son of Kwon soo-myung (media owner) that look on his face was priceless. I love you Joo Sang Wook. This is a good drama, good luck cast members.

I've watched all of Joo Sang Wook's dramas and he's hot, he's versatile and he's excellent. Deserves an award of this character portrayal. Esp the climax scene between him and the ex-PM. Made me cry each time (re-watched).

In some dramas, I sometimes stopped watching after a few episodes, but not with this one, I watched it from start until it finished. Great acting guys (Choi Gang Hee, Joo Sang Wook, Cha Ye-Ryun, Jung Jin-Young and Lee Jae-Yoon. I'm looking forward to your next dramas.

I see the main actor is pretty good in delivering his different emotions in any different scenes. He's the most busiest character here, doing this & that for justice. But MBC seems doesn't appreciate him that much. Too bad because he's a very good actor. I'll give him my own award as the The Best Actor. Will watch his next project for sure ^^

I never expected that the Prime Minister will die on this episode but I've foreseen that the ex-husband(Lee Jae-Yoon) of Eun-Soo will resurface in this drama since only his hand was recovered when he drove himself into the sea.

Looking forward as to what would be Lee Jae-Yoon's role in the next episodes.

Eun-Soo and HyeongWoo, keep your wits with you because Mr. Kwon is now all out to get both of you.

Who is really behind all the Evil! I really didn't like the PM this entire drama until he got sick & suffering from dementia. It's very sad to see him like that. I hope Eun Soo & Hyeong Woo can Overcome all of this & End up Together at the End of this Drama. Am I asking too much? Please Don't kill Hyeong Woo off! Please!

I'm a fan of Choi Kang-Hee since I watched her act in Protect the Boss.

And I've been a fan of Joo Sang -Wook after watching him act in "The Thorn Birds." I also love his acting in "Cunning Single Lady" and Birth of a Beauty.

Katarina Feb 26 2016 5:20 pm Jung Jin Young (PM Kang) is the most intriguing and attractive of actors. I watch the show (with English subtitles) to watch him and his wonderful portrayal of Mr. Kang. Were I the writer, Eun Soo would fall in love with him and stay with him. I'll have to wait and see what happens!

I adore Eun Soo and the actress who plays her.

I haven't enjoyed a drama more since Dal Ja's Spring.

My all-time favorite Korean show was the fabulous "The Great King Sejeong".

Geez 50 episodes? the only long drama I watched was Be Strong Geum Soon (184 eps) because of my bias Kang Ji Hwan.. I have seen most of Choi Kang Hee dramas but most of them are romcoms.. I like her funny side but Im surprised to find out she is also doing fine in melo. The casts are doing great.. but what really captivates me is the story.. so many twists and turns..

Hyung-Woo should not tell his mother anything and just do what he wants. I don't trust her either.

I am surprised that Hyung-Woo did not know it was Kang Il-Do calling Eun-Soo with a blocked number telling her to find his father's documents. I recognized his voice right away. That whole family is evil in their own way. I like Kang Il-Ran in this show. I like how she gets her sarcastic comments out to her family,

arizona girl Jan 06 2016 2:22 am P.S. Han Young-Ae is evil also. Hyung Woo made a mistake telling her that Eun Soo had those documents and that he was moving ahead with their plans. He should just do what he wants. Eun Soo now has no bargaining power and lost those documents that no one knew she had for 15 years. It won't even help Hyung Woo now that Kang Suk-Hyun has them. Geez.....

I wonder if Kwon Moo-Hyuk managed to get into Il=Joo's safe in her closet. He will then have the some of the info. Oh my. He is so hateful, he is more frightening that Il-Joo's dad. They all are bad people.

arizona girl Jan 06 2016 2:09 am I have only seen 14 episodes and like this drama. But I feel Eun Soo is too trusting of everyone. Especially Kang Il-Joo and others. She believes what ever every one tells her, and runs around like a chicken without her head. While Hyung-Woo is the person who needs to get his hands on those missing slush funds paperwork and the other doucments Eun Soo managed to copy, it ends up in the wrong hands. Sometimes she doesn't think through. She is too easy going and trusts the wrong people.

However, I don't think I will continue to watch this film because of Eun Soo decision to get married with Prime Minister was stupid I know it hasn't finished yet but still.. They don't have to get married :(

Previously, I never want to watch korean drama that have more than 24 episodes. It's my first long korean drama so far and it's because of Joo Sang Wook & Choi Gang-Hee

Like where did Moo Hyuk all of a sudden find a bat or piece of wood out of the blue???? And hitting the table with whatever it was - chop sticks or - when they were eating in Suk-Hyun's house when Il Ran was going on and on with her ranting. I was surprised as another side of him came out.

We are in for a wild ride.

Kiyomi Mori Dec 10 2015 3:24 am I think Joo Sang Wook & Choi Gang Hee have good Chemistry. They are both Fantastic professional actors and I think they show their chemistry well on screen. It's really not fair to compare them to their other past on screen love interest. This storyline they are actually Perfect for each other. I adore Eun Soo & Hyung Woo together. Eun Soo doesn't come from Rich & Glamourous lifestyle & her costume or wardrobe represents that all the way through episode 20. I have enjoyed watching Joo Sang Wook in this role very much. He not stuck in the office all the time & he's actually playing a really great role. Choi Gang Hee always makes me smile. She is such an incredible ray of light on screen. I love her as an actress!

Because i think " birth of beauty" more good drama and joo-sang wook have more chemistry with han ye sul.... I'm more like that couple.... I hope they have a good relationship in reality too...

I love their connection when they are actually having cute romantic moments. Hyung Woo is a total catch & husband material for Eun Soo & Mi Rae. IL Joo & Moo Hyuk are totally fantastic together. They truly are made for each other. As much as IL Joo wants & desires Hyung Woo; her match is totally Moo Hyuk. They are ONE in the Same. I can't wait for this drama each and every week. Actor Joo Sang-Wook is doing a fantastic job as Hyung Woo. Choi Gang Hee is always fantastic. Kim Ho-Jin is amazing as a bad guy! Every Cast member has their own role that makes this drama very interesting. You just never know who is shady in that house!

I'm a big fan of both Joo Sang Wook and Choi Gang Hee but unfortunately, they have zero chemistry on screen. Jung Jin Young ( the Prime Minister) & Jang Young Nam ( the artsy, bratty daughter) deserve honorable mention for their acting which truly rises far above this messy script.

sf Nov 02 2015 8:02 pm Saw the first 3 episodes and I found the drama very interesting and very promising. It captured my interest. It was fast-paced and writer can sustain the intrigues and suspense. Not too sure about the casting though but maybe it's still too early to know. I've decided to pause watching and continue when it's close to the end of the 50 episodes because I don't like the "hanging" feeling and having to wait 1 week for each set of episodes. So I shifted to May Queen because the "writer" is the same. Great drama story but I can't understand the awkward mix and interplay of very serious and dramatic, turning into shallow comedy, and how the cast can shift from "tears, deaths and murders" to "laughing and flirting". Sometimes the treatment is worse than a "cartoon". Especially true for Heju and Saan who do not have the better chemistry as Heju and Changhee. It's like 2 dramas (melodrama and comedy) being combined. The only consistent character is the rich mother.

naritul Nov 02 2015 6:48 am i find this drama was interesting, now i find this drama really2 boring. i do not like the characters especially the woman protagonist. she is quite stupid. clumsy, not smart... i just dont like her, even her daughter keeps bothering me. this drama has a bad script and storyline. how come a maid daughter dare to nag her mom boss, when she just 5 or 6 years old. this drama script is way to unrealistic. i stop this drama at episode 8.

yeah the boss is in the house. she captured the book more than twice in her dark boss room and at night when she supposed to go home. how clever.... how about you? what do you think ?

I've been watching six fying dragon and all about mom which has a longer episodes. hmm... maybe next time....

passenger Oct 24 2015 7:24 pm One of the worst directing and scripting i have ever seen, camera work completely broken, storyline same thing. I think the director and scriptwriter tried to to impress but got ahead of themselves and forgot about directing and storytelling principles, and the first principle would be to not confuse the audience (either by bad camera posing and movement or by stuffing too much events with no intro nor follow up in a short period of time ) otherwise the audience will loose focus and the drama will be a big flop.

Fancy wide cuts with depth of field every two seconds is definitely not for drama nor movies, a good director knows that cuts need to be well chosen and managed to convey the emotion and story motion to the audience without hurting their eyes or brains by pushing them to search for the center of interest in every cut.

Big events every 5 minutes will definitely make the show unbearable, a smart script writer elaborates on small things that will build towards a big event usually once in one episode should be enough.

Now to the acting: no matter how good an actor is, if paired with a bad director and writer will definitely produce weird acting, even if he does great it will remain weird because the shot he worked so hard to put the emotion in it is ruined by the fact that there was no introduction nor build up events that should have lead to that emotion, and the audience's subconscious won't be able to make sense out of it, and that's why it'll look weird.

Unless this is a new kind of drama where the audience is a zero factor, they should make some changes on the directing and scriptwriting approach.

This is my opinion, I am not trying to bash this show, I had great expectation after seeing the cast but got hit in my eyes after watching the 1st and 2nd episodes.

O-changjo Oct 24 2015 3:06 am It seems interesting enough but nothing totally unique whatsoever!! It seems these types of dramas are just what's mainstream now in Kdrama land. The girl getting blames for a crime she did not commit, while also being aquatinted with a past love, and then there's the whole other party and second lead girl who causes the main girl's misfortunes in some way. And of course the fact that she's also involved in love triangle with the two main leads. WoOw where have we seen that!?! Like everywhere! Even though I like the two main actors, I've just seen way too much of these shows to be super excited for this one. And I just read that the main lead will become pregnant... Another terribly cleched incident in kdramas. If anyone still wants to watch something like this and finds it intriguing, I suggest watching Secret (with Hwang Jung eum & Jisung) or even better, Ice Adonis (with Lee Yu Ri), these are shows with exact same plot lines but in my opinion are very well castes and portray this kind of plot in an excellent way. Seriously, is there no originality into kdramas anymore? That's why I've started shifting to Japanese dramas now. They're much more meaningful and refreshing to watch.

Very interesting characters and I always like how the Korean can make the politic plots very exciting. By the way I have a bad feeling that there won't be any romantic scenes after this.
