I can’t wait to see him in more dramas. The chemistry with Kim Tae Ri is indéniable and lovely to watch. Can’t wait to see him in more drama. I will start to follow his projects.

He should be nominated as best actor on Baeksang 2022 for that role, but the fact that now Nam Joohyuk is one of the most popular actor in Korea, everybody want to meet him now is a proof enough that his acting skill is really great that made the public love him so much.

Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim Taeri are one of the best pair in K-Drama history. They should get more projects together with happy endings.

farie May 19 2021 7:28 pm his acting has improved a lot over the years. i know people remember him for 'weightlifting fairy' and 'startup', but his acting in 'the light in your eyes' is so memorable for me. please watch if you have not already. i think it is hard to portray sad characters or characters with rough storylines and be able to touch the viewers, but i really think he embodied the character throughout the drama! and i cried so much haha. so proud, i really hope he takes up more meta and edgy roles

NamDoSeoDal May 09 2021 8:27 pm I was able to start watching Nam Joohyuk in the hit series, Start-Up. He truly embodied his character in there. He displayed a wide range of emotions. To name a few, he was superb in punching the lines that pierces right through our heart. His eyes says it all. His expressions and the minute details of being happy, nervous, sad and confused were recognizable. He puts an effort to project on the screen what is expected of him. But, I love watching him act because he knows when to shine and he knows how and when to share the spotlight with the people around him in the drama. That’s power.

I watch his various shows and read news about him, from there I know that he is not only a cool actor but his personality is also kind and gentle (esp. on variety shows), he seems also quite shy. It's nice to see his different roles in every drama/movie. His acting has also improved a lot this year in the drama The School Nurse Files & StartUp, looking forward to his next projects. Idk why but I saw something different from him. To this day, he is the only Korean celebrity that attracted me.

It's such a shame his character was poorly written in Start Up, I would've liked to see them utilize his skills more. But I feel like Nam Joo hyuk doesn't mind going with roles that allow his co-stars to shine more, that's why I really like him, I think he's honestly a kind person :)

I love their friendship. Then, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo, his chemistry with Lee Sung Kyung was the best. I really enjoyed the series as it is just a Good Vibes. Then, Start-Up... I know it's far fetched but I just can't get over the warmth and plethora of emotions that wash me down everytime I think of him. For others he might seem to be just a pretty face, for me he is a man who gives his all into the characters that he plays. I have never seen anybody act so realistically ever. Also, his upbringing and childhood, so strongly reminds me of my own and that feels like a connection of our souls that neither of us are aware of. I'm so in love with him. This us no infatuation, hence I want to meet him at least once in my life to tell how he has been influencing my thoughts and my life, so deeply. And when I accidentally saw him in Weightlifting Fairy (for lack of kdramas that interested me for months), I thought he looks like the actor in Scarlet only to confirm later that they are indeed one and the same. I find the WF interesting and refreshing and I like it. Now, here's the Bride of the Water God. I don't blame others for their negative comments about him because I truly believe in respecting other's opinion. However, I find NJH's acting a bit improved and I hope he will put his heart and soul into it. Hoping for more projects for him in the future and that he may grab all opportunities available to improve his craft. You have great potentials NJH. I am a fan. Love you and more power!!!

Btw, why are people here complaining NJH is always the lead, I think if am not mistaken, the only drama he became lead is the current one airing "The Bride of Habaek". While all the rest, he is just secondary role or love interest of female lead centric drama. He just became favorites in all his drama, it cant be help if the guy is really mesmerizing on screen and have lovable characters. Also, some mentions Sungjae, I also like that guy in Goblin, I just dont think its proper to mention him here, Im sure Sungjae would also not like it his name getting drag in order to put someone down. So just give respect, these guys are awesome and deserve to be seen more in Kdrama or Kmovies. Also, NJH is a young actor, he would need acting experience to grow as an actor, Im sure he can, his got all the equipment, just need to push the right buttons. But I like him as Habaek, fighting NJH!

He suits the comedic roles really well but needs to do more diverse characters like he done with Scarlet Heart. Don't count him out, just give him time to grow into his acting chops. (Sungjae is from a boyband and they're all about acting but I agree he did a good job in School 2015 and in Goblin)

Speaking of Who Are You: School 2015, I just finished watching it and I'm so happy because the ending turned out exactly how I hoped and felt it would. I know almost everyone wanted Gong Tae-kwang for Lee Eun-bi, but from the very beginning, I knew--- Han Yi-an is for Eun-bi, and I'm glad it turned out that way. I think most of the Tae-Bi shippers were blinded by the idea of Han Yi-an being Go Eun-byul's childhood friend, whom he had feelings for for a long time. I think the question for the Tae-Bi shippers is, "if Eun-bi and Eun-byul were never separated, and Han Yi-an knew them both from the very beginning, would he have had feelings for Eun-byul like he did?". Feelings change; it's normal. Han Yi-an liked Eun-byul and he cares for her very much. But he wanted more from her than what the two of them already had, and Eun-byul knew she couldn't give him that. "Han Yi-an is a life-time friend, but he's not my soulmate. He's not really in love with me... he just doesn't know it yet." Han Yi-an was just a little slow, but he finally realized it when Eun-bi came into his life. In my opinion, it was a perfect ending. I'm so proud of this drama. It's definitely one of my very few favorite dramas now.
