Eun Hwan-Ki (Yeon Woo-Jin) is the CEO of a public relations company, but he is extremely shy. Due to his personality, even his employees do not know him well.

Chae Ro-Woon (Park Hye-Soo) begins work at Eun Hwan-Ki’s company. She is very energetic and receives recognition for her work, but her only interest is in CEO Eun Hwan-Ki. She plans to reveal who Eun Hwan-Ki really is.

KGuileyC Oct 24 2022 7:15 pm I kept seeing this show suggestion pop up in my social media feed. It’s an older flick having been released in 2017-however it didn’t feel old at all. It touches on some very modern subjects- mental health, abusive relationships, suicide, transgender, self harm-to name a few. I found the delivery of these subjects to be quite modern as well. Suicide isn’t always for a big bad reason-it can simply be someone’s reaction at that time. Same with self harming-it doesn’t have to have a clean cut reason why. The actor- Yeon Woo-Jin impressed me very much. His Arc was my favorite due to his acting and how he pulled off his character. I fell in love with his character and binged this show just so I knew he’d be okay. It’s funny how we can get pulled into this made up Universe and feel such empathy for a character all based on the acting and delivery. Kudos to Park Hye-Soo and Yoon Park. Their acting was also superb. I loved the office mates to our ML-they made the cast appear as if an actual work family. If you like a drama with some romance and mystery filled back story thrown in-by all means give this one your time! You won’t regret it! Be careful tho-you’ll fall in love with Eun Hwan-Ki-Yeon Woo-Jin!

I really like the plot of this drama. especially Yeon woojin's character. besides handsome, innocent, and also sexy He managed to make my heart flutter while watching him. The ending is very good and romantic. And finally the character park hyesu in this drama he is very good, besides being beautiful, cute and funny. He always Not giving up on approaching his boss to help turn him into a more daring one. Help. I really like this drama. Rating from me 1000000000/10

Jasjit May 10 2022 1:47 pm Did not like it a a bit. The main actor was good. But the girl Park Hye Soo - overacted and did not like her personality. Did not fit the role. Left the show in between. The thyme was good but They could have sone a better job with acting and story telling.

Khalipo Dec 22 2021 7:09 am 2nd lead and his fiance should have paid for what dey did to the 1st lead's sister...really didnt like those 2 characters...one was so selfish...the other was weak and an ***hole...someone died bcoz of them...the first lead became in laws with the one who literally kill her sister...the disrespect from the employees to the boss was so disheartening...not realistic...Great acting but I didn't like the drama

Rima Oct 09 2021 5:10 pm I am glad i watched it despite all the negative comments here. Bite thru episode 1, 2 and 3 and the series are TOP! True the main lead actress also worked on my nerves in the beginning but that changes after the first episodes. It s a good story and good acting of all the characters! Yeon Woo Jin did a great job, a great performance, well done! I recommend to watch it. I really liked this drama and i give it a rating of 9,8/10!

SPOILER: By episode 15-16 the story is mostly over. But EP 15 ends with some new drama started off. Then in EP 16 it is ended as quickly as it started. There is no explanation for this, other than a lack of funds. The ending was supposed to have another episode or two where the arc played out. Instead it ends abruptly and goes into the romantic ending, which is what we needed. So the series is not incomplete, just an arc kind of skipped.

I've seen the trailer so far, and to be honest, it looks so much fun. Wish me luck as I'll try to manage two K-Dramas at the same time. Plus I have job, so I gotta make time for both of these and speed-watch as soon as possible. I'll share my review after watching the first five episodes.

Raven Feb 28 2021 12:24 am I love this kdrama. The one thing that is unfortunate is how misleading the translated title is. "My Shy Boss" or "Introverted Boss" doesn't really convey the painfully debilitating social anxiety Hwan Gi suffers from which was what drew my sympathy and empathy to begin with. From the start I understood what was happening and while I hate public speaking it's no way on par with the main character's. Even so I understood what he was struggling with and could understand where he was coming from. As an introvert I did find the subtitles that referenced introversion annoying since my personal experience is simply that I find that the more I have to interact with people the more drained I feel (try imagining the battery power indicator on your phone as a reference) I'm not too socially awkward or afraid of interacting with people and don't suffer from deep rooted social anxiety like Hwan Gi but it can be tiring. At the same time I understood Hwan Gi's tendency to overthink things which resulted in a kind of paralysis. As an over thinker from way back, I don't freeze, but I do tend to need more time to process things, take them in, and think things over.

These are the things that captivated me from the start.

The drama it self is funnier and cuter than I expected and I found myself rooting for more than one of the potential couples. I tended to have a hard time stopping at one episode and tended to end up watching two or three at a time. It's a lot of fun and while I get the sense that a lot of people either don't get it or don't believe the main dillema of Hwan Gi I think they did a pretty good job of illustrating the struggle of deep social anxiety and how it can both be a struggle and something that can be overcome if people try to understand it rather than ridicule it.

Mhay Feb 09 2021 6:50 am The first 3 episodes, you will be annoyed by the lead girl but as the story goes along, you will find her really cute. Episode 12 is the funniest for me. Don't be discouraged on the initial episodes...the fun starts halfway.

just my brutally honest opinion no need to @ me Jan 11 2021 3:11 am Here's what I think... The actors are decent and just right. The plot has fascinating idea.

But there's something, that just didn't quite fit. And this misfit thing is, like, huge. Huge enough to poking my nerves and makes the whole story quite painful to watch. I don't know if it's how the plot executed, or how (especially) the lead female portay her role "too much" or even "too less" from what should be the right dosage... I can't even tell.

I just think it's quite wasteful, since this one has ingredients it needed to make this drama become one of cool, chicklit-y, city vibe-y office romance with all its drama dynamics instead of just... Ordinary office romcom with drama and wishy washy traits.

I like the traits of the lead male. Personally I like this type of guy like Hwangi. Objectively I thought Yeon Woojin was executed his role well. Unfortunately, the other characters and how the storyline is executed drags his appearance into an ordinary appearance.

I personally and quietly demand the same storyline with the same characters and the same actors/actress to be made, but with more well-developed plot and stronger traits of the female lead to counterbalance the male lead, instead of her wishy washy traits, made it unclear if she was strong or weak, mature or childish.

The issue here is timely, the effect of parents trying to control their children accdg to what they want their kids to be. The authoritarian and domeneering father made his children act ( low self esteem -Hwang-hi and suicidal I-su).Go on watch the whole series and you will be entertained and learn about parenting, interpersonal relationship and more?

Elle Dec 27 2020 12:35 am To those who wonder how can the sister make love to someone she doesnt like, of course its possible. Some of u might be too young to understand the diff between love and lust, especially when u drink lol. Yes, she wasnt drunk but she took 2 shoots, her mind wasnt 100% sober. Her mistake is being too weak minded. She took her own life just like that, well again, its possible for some people. Suicide issue is something we shouldnt underestimate.

For the female main lead. Gosh. I know she's mourning over her sister but the sister should be the only one at fault here by taking her own life. No one is responsible for your own life except ourselves. No matter how bad the 2nd male lead is, it took 2 to tango u know...

Him3 Dec 12 2020 4:11 pm I loved this drama so much, it was a cute lovecom I almost didn't watch it cuz of the reviews here ? the main girl at the beginning kinda annoyed me then after the first episodes she became better and I really think she is cute xD and I love her voice uwu, and ofc I love the main guy he is so beautiful inside and cool and sweet i just love him hehe

Spoiler: somethings were a bit annoying but actually the most one I didnt like was the main girl sis, she wasn't drunk and she didn't like him, he loved her and he was totally drunk he did it while he was drunk and she accepted it all, I'm not sure how did she did it without loving him.. and then on top of that she threw herself and caused big trauma and sadness after her, I mean.. well ill stop here ? just i love the main couple and everyone who worked with him xD

They did well in the drama but the story was a mess. I enjoyed all the cutesy acts, kiss scenes, flirting lol and also the Silent Monster team. The story could have been deeper, tbh. The suicide act, introverted and extroverted characters....

I really got irritated with the main actress. why are you being so nosy. to think that he is your boss. her facial expressions are so-so. not that catchy. I thought I was the only one who felt that way. as i have read the other reviews, bru, I am not alone. :)))

such a waste, I love YWJ, but this drama is a no no for me.

For me, the elephant in the room was the topic of suicide or the feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. I realized through this drama and other Korean Series I have watched, that the emotional dilemmas central to the conflicts and resolutions come about through secrets, lies, cover ups and avoidance. Having just gone through 4 years of our totally dishonest US President and his tribe, I have become even more sensitive to dishonesty dis-information. I am so glad that the story here included showing characters with the bravery to set the record straight. Thank you writers, producers, actors and support staff. Important series.

I became her fan after watching this drama. Other people in the comment are just being shitty, if you want to hate on the character so much, it would be better if you hate on wooil or yisoo or even better their parents. There's nothing wrong with rowoon's character here, you all just trying to find smth to pick on her. Tbh, jihye's character is so annoying, she could just tell hwangi her feelings. It's okay if she doesn't but why would she go and sleep with wooil if she don't even like him? Like she's so stupid and annoying. And then she commited suicide, i understand that shou couldn't take the shame very well but omg just bcs she's too stupid to stop wooil, she's bringing problems into other people's life. I've never hate on a character that's not evil but seriously she's the first. I don't get why people hate rowoon and like jihye, rowoon is just trying to find out the reason why her sister dead. Wooil and yisoo are kinda annoying too but they get better towards the last ep.

The main actress seems like a good actress I just don’t think this one was for her cause it seemed like she could get the right facial expressions and like she was so rude like how tf do you y’all to people like that. And when she broke into his penthouse and went through all his stuff and took a drink from his fridge I was so annoyed and then had the nerve to ask him why he didn’t have any clothes on, like she’s just so unreasonable. The story could have been over in 8 episodes, it needed another twist. Park Hye Soo cute but unsure of herself. Sister and Kang had more substance as actors: but good kissing, many k dramas have fake kiss scenes - where you can see they don’t want to do it.

She shouldn't have been cast as the lead female actress...her voice and facial expressions were bothersome. The sister that died by suicide should've been the lead actress, she was so much prettier and had great acting skills. Definitely would've preferred the lead actor to be paired with the dead sister or his first love. And how could it feel "right" to get involved with the guy your sister liked and ultimately killed herself over? Storyline could've definitely been better. First K-Drama that I've ever given a thumbs down to.

Even though it's true that this drama actually has good story material. Yeon Woo Jin also plays his role very well. His character actually can be explored together with the story material and background that are well processed, but too bad this drama was made without having those things. It's quite a shallow thought to think that introvert character should always be paired with overly cheerful character. They can still create a romantic comedy atmosphere with the female lead having characters that are strong, bright, and collected instead of bright but annoying and quite unmannered character.

Eun Hwan Gi could have a better female lead pair and whoever plays it, even if it's Park Hye Soo, she actually could do better than this.

I think the story could've been great and relatable to a lot of people with social anxiety, depression, etc... It could've been a great series IMO but I just can't watch that character and I've seen so many series with annoying characters but her character just tops them all. 50/100

CA Jun 08 2020 2:40 pm This drama takes patience. I love the way mental health issues were portrayed and how outsiders saw mental issues as taboo, because it was accurate, especially in Korea. This drama had an amazing plot, although the main characters didn't have as much chemistry as I would've hoped, but they were amazing nonetheless. I sincerely think that this drama made me learn how to be more understanding and more careful about how I perceive people, because there's always more than the surface that we see, and I'm glad to have watched this drama. Aside from that, there were minor characters that I had mixed feelings about and wasn't sure how it added to the drama, but the drama tied everything together in a concise way despite a few holes. Overall, great drama!!!!!!!!

She's so beautiful, radiant and a simplicity about her makes loving her character so easy. Why can't I find a girl like her character? Simple, yet eloquent. Hope they have a follow-up series. I’m yelling at my tv “Could you please stop touching everything that’s in the CEO’s office! Just because of a minor collision doesn’t give you the excuse to be so rude and forget your manners!” Arghhh! Maybe bec I’m old school lol I’m gonna watch a few more episodes and see if I can stand her. She annoyed the heck out of chasing the shy guy knocking him over just to find out who “Mr. Smith” who kept giving her flowers is...only to tell him later she doesn’t want to find out. Ugh she’s annoying as heck!

I prefer her sister, the secretary who committed suicide. The storyline is sometimes confusing. If the secretary likes the male lead, why did she sleep with the second male lead??

Random Thoughts Jan 03 2020 8:12 am my dude i wasn't gonna write it. but after bingeing watching and not sleeping i gotta do it.'i mean i dont rly lol' the drama itself inst bad but every time the main couple get's together some shit happens then they have a small fight. or bs is reveled etc etc. but all in all it's a good drama if not i prob wouldn't binge watch it. but now let me tell you my real problem with the drama. it is Han Chae-Ah i just felt legit bad for her. it was clear from the start who she loved. you could see from the first episodes how she acted with that person. and that person seemed to feel something too as he had given her the shoes. and the day he saw her with the other dude he had a gift he was prob gonna give her. i just feel a bitter taste with that. well oh well that's just me. and yea let's not forget the other dude took advantage of her and slept with her. if it was reveled in irl everyone would call i rape...

Started to be a fan of Yeon Woo Jin on this, he looks cool here, justified the role, love seeign him dance like an idol Oppa. now stalking all Yeon Woo Jin’s drama, he’s got quite a lot, didnt know he’s been in K-Ent that long, why I only noticed this charming actor now, I regret it. But very nice this Rom-Com drama, love it, I think I will watch it again! lmao

I'm glad that finally in 2019 I can watch this drama after long waiting in my own drama list from 2017. In my point of view a girl as well, I don't think Chae Ro-Woon is annoying. Well when you need to open or knock someone's heart, you should be a little talkative or speak more to someone introvert. How can she knock her introvert boss' heat if she doesn't speak more in drama ? If she is quiet and the boss as well, I think the drama would be about introvert couple >.< I like the storyline, I found it rare this kind of topic (a sister did commit suicide) in Korea drama. Been marathon to watch this drama around in three nights only.

But in ep ep 14 when boss told about this to her little sisister the female lead, they show us like she jumped from his office window and her shoes was found near window. So why it's different place? Did they made mistake ?

I’m into underrated dramas with good story and this one really exceeded my expectation! The OST’s were daebaaaaak! The back story really made me hooked in this drama. It was very sad and touching at the same time. The love story between the leads were very realistic. They fall with each other because they were able to build their own weaknesses and transform it as their strengths.

Her characters spouse to be like that she's cheerful but yet she hide her sorrow that smile I can imagine how hard to be her when your parents told you to be exactly like your big sis that the most hardest things to do I found her characters really pitifully some more when she found out that the her sis also love the same guy I can relate that and that's really painful. overaall this drama is very good really recommended for those who love story with many feelings hidden

She got a girl to kill herself and only thinks of how things will affect her life if everyone found out what she did. She was ok with forcing a guy to marry her knowing full well that he did not love her. Lets make someone else miserable as long she’s happy with it. Really? The brother should have put her in therapy right away... Her brother does everything to protect other people while she’s the opposite. She does everything to protect herself. She should have stopped when her fake suicide attempt resulted in another person’s death. The only reason she gave up was when everything came out. That’s just plain selfish and more annoying than the main lead female.

lrt May 30 2018 6:27 am Super sweet drama and not what I expected after looking at the poster. Loved the lead actress personality but it took almost 5 episodes until they made her look cute. If I have any complaints ..it's inconsistency of the male makeup . It was all over the place and distracting. Very modern love story and great chemistry.

PSJLove May 22 2018 8:21 pm I really like the chemistry of these two. I like how timid and lovable Hwan Ki is and how compatible he is with the very outgoing Ro Woon. And the twist when its nearing the end makes it more interesting to watch. There are some dull moments throughout the drama but nonetheless its still worth watching for me. :)

PS: This drama has a bunch of beautiful OSTs as well and I love them all!

But when I did watched, she was alright(The writers being pressured to change the script must have affected her character) . Personally, the character that stood out really was Yi Soo. Gong Seung-Yeon did a good job. Sorry for this spoiler, but I just wished they included a scene at the end with just Ji-Hye and Hwan-Ki rather than the main leads being lovey-dovey with each other. Just a closure for her character and their tragic relationship.

i dont eat berries Dec 13 2017 2:15 am I like the whole drama. The plot is good. The cast is great. I have to admit that at first i also was annoyed by the female lead. But slowly her character began to progressed (in a positive way ofc)

However, despite all the good things i say, i still think that the female lead is over acting and is awkward. She is cute for sure but her acting skill is not the best one in this drama. I watch her in aoy and she did better in that drama.

Whatever it is, i am still also a fans of her and im totally looking forward to her next project.

Tbh, the actors really did a good job portraying the persona of the characters. Ignore all the comments about the female main character being annoying. When the actor/actress managed to make you hate the character that they portrayed, you know they've done a good job.

The first 5 episodes will be hard to go through in the beginning for me, but the rest of the episodes is really worth it. If you want to blame someone, you should blame the writer for making the characters and storyline not the way you want, not the actor/actress.

Overall it's a wonderful drama for me. Although the meaning of introvert is not portrayed correctly in the drama, you can classify thsi as "shy-introvert" instead. It's a 9.5/10 for me. Watch the drama first before making any comment about it.

It's just my opinion, I do respect other people's opinion on the drama as everyone has different opinion. Thanks for reading. :)

Urgh Nov 17 2017 6:56 am I hated how this show misinterpreted what it means to be an introvert. I hated how the characters disregarded his mental issues and just assumed that he's scary and shy. I can't even remember one charcter who tried to understand his circumstance. They were all insensitive little pricks. They want to change him, to make him be outgoing when that isn't exactly the case of introverts. The female lead is annoying as hell. She badgers him to the point where I couldn't stand her anymore. Sad how they could've tackled such a good topic but delievered it poorly.

O p s Sep 15 2017 9:27 am I liked the story but not this drama as a whole. Seems rushed. At first it was boring and i had to skip a few scenes because it felt like it was just fillers. Then in the middle I felt excited and thrilled but it got boring again when I expected it to be the climax.

The male lead isn't just an introvert, he also has anxiety. It was shown many times that he was having panic attacks. I like that the drama want to convey a message that there are people like the male lead but disappoints me how there was no medical explanation throughout the drama and people would just tend to think that it was exaggerated by the writers.

The female lead is a bit annoying especially the way she's pushing the male lead to change but it got better along the way. Her character is kinda realistic the way she blames the male lead that her family is ruin but didn't think that she's also the one ruining her relationship with her father.

Over all I liked this drama but would not rewatch? Mianhe

Although I would say I am not comfortable with Ji-hye's suicide, I think it is required to intensify and solidify the whole plot. YWJ is a great actor, he makes you believe he is a real introvert. Also, PHS who is a newcomer is so cute in this drama. It really fits her. A blend of comedy, romance and melodrama. ❤

I tried reading reviews and I realized I wasn't the only one who's not liking it. Some are saying the first few episodes are bad, and that the fun starts in the 5th episode. Because I really wanted to give it a chance, I had to endure until the 4th episode except the parts where they show Ro-woon's relationship with her sister. Overall, it's an ok drama. Lots of twist! Gong Seung-yeon is so pretty and her character is likeable, as well as the rest of Silent Monster staff. Jun Hyo-Seong is really pretty, and of course Park Hye-soo and Han Chae-ah. Hye-soo's character can be so annoying though at times. Yeon Woo-jin's character is cringe-y to watch, sorry. Mehehe

Everytime I see her in the screen, I always end up crying. She hid her depression for a long time. Always having to smile in front of everyone was slowly killing her inside. To be honest, she's the most considerate person here. She always make her parents smile, she takes care of her brother, she always look out for Yoon Park but the thing is, she ended up forgetting to care about herself, because she was too busy taking care of others, she bottled up all her emotions. Gong Seung-Yeon who plays Hwan-Ki's sister is very good. Han Chae-Ah who plays the sister who killed herself is exceptional. Would love to see her in more. The whole cast is really excellent. Some of the writing could have been better. But very watchable and certainly made me cry at times.

Being an introvert is really hard and we are always misunderstood by people (especially the extrovert one). People must know that introvert type of people are the ones who are loyal, considerate, critical thinker, focus in everything we do, prefer to work in a quiet environment, very organized in everything and so on. Introvert people are really good in expressing theirselves through writing communication and not in oral unlike extrovert who express theirselves by talking too much. Among of all the Korean drama that I have watched, this is the most fantastic that I have ever seen. It makes me understand more of my self and not to blame myself by being a shy type person. Thank you to the creator of this drama as I was able to assess and evaluate more of myself and how to overcome my fears sometimes. Eventhough an introvert person might change, still he/she will remain an introvert because it is innate in theirselves. We might change a bit for sure but that doesn't mean we will be an extrovert in the other hand. What we need is a person who will understand us by being this. Sorry for making this so long. To everyone, if ever you have encountered an introvert person, please never tease them nor force them to change or do something that will make shame them in front of public as it will worsen their introvert personality. Cheer them up, support them, uplift them, talk to them, cherish them the most, make them your friend, and the most important, have patience on them. If you become their friend, you are the luckiest person in the world because they will never betray you nor make fool on you, they are the most loyal person in the world.They want to speak but they dont have the determination to do it. Kudos to the creator of this drama again.

The writer and director went overboard with showing contrast bet the two leads, making the girl too extroverted and annoying. Ep5 showed potential, i like how the relationship of the Silent Monster staff is going and how things turned differently in the "bigger story". This is worth watching, you guys just have to be patient for those first four eps.

마이 Apr 01 2017 2:26 pm I love yeo woo jin,, king of rom com ( for me) glad they did the revisions. Boss' family is a real mess up. They have psychological issues. From the controlling dad to the narcissistic mom down to the suicidal sister. I really loved how they were portrayed without the medical labels or it wud be a total jargon to the average viewers if not a debate for the intellect wannabe's. Just like how its title is. Without even giving thought that the orig drama title is korean, some english words wouldnt fit exactly the translation and some people are fretting abt it with an excuse that they know better. This is a romcom intended to entertain not for someone to do a differential diagnosis. If uve been romcoms + dramalandia in a while, youll know that a lot wouldnt make sense along the story but just watch it just the same bec u like and enjoy it. Period.

SUPER GOOD DRAMAAA Apr 01 2017 4:53 am ok this drama needs to be more popular!! i actually stopped watching kdramas/didn't complete any kdrama for 3-4 months because i got so annoyed. most the dramas i've watched during that period had no substance like they're all mainstream plots if not they are just bad, and they're all just so fake-cutesy which made their acting suck.

for this drama though, actors and actresses are naturally cute AND they are actually focused in their roles instead of acting cute for the camera! that itself was a HUGE plus point. not only that, they can act really well (for the main characters only).

for the supporting roles, i didn't like them at first. including the lead actress because they were so rude to their CEO like c'mon but ok sigh it's a drama right? we shouldn't expect it to be too realistic though that's what i prefer. hm their acting is a little too dramatic and sun bong was really really mean at the start i just wanted him to shut up but now he's good :-)

i really love hwangi's acting, i think he potrayed his role really well and i felt sorry for him as i watch him along the way. he didn't exgerrate his emotions (like when they're shock shitty actors just...omg it's so disgusting) YET you can tell he is shocked. plus he has cute eyes. but girl he needs some chapstick

mmm 10/10 not boring at all and their chemistry is really good, loved their kiss scenes because both of them opened their mouth HAHA. the girl was a little stiff imo but hey at least she tried not like some other actresses who make the guys do all the stuff

great plot, have never seen one like it before! no superpowers whatsoever, no rich dude n poor girl shit. and like they don't just suddenly fall in love for no apparent reason (example: W. it's a good drama but when she confessed when he was in prison i think ep 7-8?? like what what did he do for u to fall in love w him lol) , hwangi fell in love w her because she's so supportive. it's sweet, i like it :")

I'm really glad they changed up the way the drama was going. I could tell it would be a disaster if they didn't regroup and rethought the whole process, because they were trying to give it a mean approach. I actually know friends who have severe anxiety to the point where they were triggered with the things Rowoon did to Hwangi. She kept on invading his personal space and being too much. You could tell the character felt uncomfortable and she kept on pushing his boundaries for her self agenda. Fortunately, things changed. And while this still happened, I can say this is one of my favourite dramas ever.

They portray social anxiety and mental/social issues in a really good way. Yeon Woo Jin played the part of an introverted person/person with social anxiety so well. They approached and touched on social and mental issues like depression, anxiety, suicide, gender theory in a way other dramas have tried but didn't really accomplished.

We all know tvN is ballsy in their concepts. Also, the kisses, man. Probably the best kisses I've ever seen in any drama I watched. The chemistry was spot on, the kisses were genuine, not those boring and awkward drama kisses where they look like two children who are kissing for the first time.

I thoroughly enjoyed this. It became one of my favourites. Thank you tvN!

He doesn't like being on the outside. He prefers to do things alone. He bottles his feelings while being considerate of others. He always puts others before him. He has psychological problems, @lovedrama. He says so in the first episodes.

Also, @lolWut, introverts can be the centre of attention, but there are also introverts who shy up from social experiences. My brother is an introvert, has social anxiety, and Hwan Gi portrays an introvert so well that I felt like I was watching my brother on screen. As a psychology major, should you really categorize every single introverted person in one box? Being an introvert doesn't mean you're exclusively supposed to be fine in spite of being an introvert. Or staying at home just because. If paired with a psychological disorder, such as anxiety, depression, social anxiety, etc, things get complicated. I thought that you, who keep stunting on people with your psychological jargon, would actually know that. Just seems like you're too bitter he doesn't fit in the introverted category you want him too.

For a Psychology major, you sure focus on the word "introverted" a lot, when you should be focusing on what actually concerns psychology, and that is, social anxiety. He has social anxiety, did you know?

You know. But that's just my tea.

He acts like someone with OCD (he frets over cleanliness and doens't like when others touch him) and slight anthropophobia (he runs away from people and fears communication). Introvert = someone who prefers solitary activities and doesn't showcase their emotion freely. Introverts can still communicate with people, and even be the centre of attention without problem.

You all need a lesson in psychology.

I kind of wish it had another season, but it probably won't have a good direction to go in after this. I haven't watched the last 2 episodes yet, but I love how this show really puts introversion in a way that really speaks to me. Park Hye-Soo really makes me fall in love with her character as the show goes on. I wish I had a Chae Ro-Woon in my life. I want to watch Age of Youth now. I wish I could forget what I've seen so I can watch the show again with fresh eyes. This is my first K-Drama I've seen, and considering how low the ratings were, I'm curious to see what other people see as better K-Dramas. I particularly like this one due to it's focus on introversion, romantic-comedy style, and it's genuinely touching moments between characters. It's kind of like a really good US teen drama because of the way it avoids sexuality, but it's still really good. I'm going to miss this show. I miss it already.

Within the first few episodes, she attracts the attention of both CEOs (although that isn't her goal) and the fun begins. If you don't try to over analyze every little detail, you'd enjoy this drama. Just let the story unfold. Most people's analysis turns out wrong anyway. Going to rewatch from ep 1 now....

As an introvert myself, I did enjoy how they portray Yeon Woo Jin's character, Hwan Gi. I adored his character and found certain aspects of him relatable. I also like that they kept it realistic though some things are a bit exaggerated for the drama. It was a cute drama and Yeon Woo Jin is always fantastic at what he does.

A person who is shy quiet doesn't mean they have no creative ideas or less clever. They could be wise and patient listening to everyone you say. Both the lead actor and actress act so naturally making this drama so humorous and sweet. Especially actor yeon woo-jin, he play his role eun hwan-ki so well making it so hard not to fall in love with him. Thumbs up for this drama is a must watch drama in 2017. Although I am quite disappointed the viewership rating seems to be low. I think it deserved a high viewership rating; I have watched goblin and legend of the blue sea which are nice but sincerely I prefer my shy boss (introverted boss) which is closer to our everyday lives whereby there are always extroverts and introverts around.

I love that they handled the condition with care and not turn the main character into a joke by making him a weirdo. Like most introverts, he is a very caring person and a great listener, but often gets misunderstood by those around him because of his difficulty expressing himself and inability to become close to other people. This drama upholds an excellent standard of romantic comedy. It teaches a lesson, isn't too dark, funny, and has sufficient romantic scenes. The ost is also excellent.

My only knock is the plot. I felt like the reason behind the oldest sister's action wasn't good enough to be justified.

This is an eye-opener to all of people who don't know the existence of introvert individuals or, who don't have any idea how they live. It will show you a lot of things introverts do on a daily basis. How people interactions overwhelm them. I, myself is an introvert too. I can say, I can relate to the hero of this series but it doesn't mean that you have to be an introvert just to understand his character. People misinterpret our actions when we mean it otherwise.

I've enjoyed watching this series from its first episode. So if you want something different, something unique, I'll recommend this show.

Also, I can't help myself but to notice the cuteness of Woo-Jin. He's the perfect life example of age is just a number. He's 32 and yet, he looks like in mid 20s and I find it unfair hahaha!

The heroine is also a pretty one.

Anyways, enjoy watching this series as much as I enjoyed it.

Krystal Mar 12 2017 11:03 pm I should say, that in the beginning I'm quite disappointed with this series. But through the middle, as I re-watch this series due to boredom, I should say I was bewildered by it plot twist. As the stories goes, the puzzle pieces become clear and it make me engage.

Don't forget the incredible transformation of Hwan-gi, and the strong impact of second chances.

I personally can relate to that, I experience pretty similar situation, but not as dramatic as this series.

Although its only 2 series left, I'm still very excited. I wonder what other secrets that haven't revealed.

Ann Mar 09 2017 2:40 pm I like this drama, their acting is so superb! I was really wondering why there are a lot of people complaining ta the beginning. Some parts of it were really unbelievable, like barging in to the CEO's room. But then as the story progressed, you get to see why she had the guts to do that. It was really catchy for me from the start and touching too.

Im thinking how it could have gone had they not revised the script, it seemed there were more things to unfold sooner or later. And was it really meant to be 20 episodes? What a shame, I would have loved to see more of Hwan Gi and Ro Woon, they look so good together and suit each other so well.

But the story has turned out really good, I love the OSTs so much although they havent played them as much as in the earlier episodes. I think this is a really good and fun drama to watch which is also heartbreaking. The characters have depth but at the same time they have funny sides too which lighten up the story, preventing it from being too dramatic and feeling too tragic.

I hope all ends well. I would like to see the leads together in the future again, hopefully exploring more of their chemistry because they really have it. Loads of ❤❤❤❤❤❤

While the show is aired on TVN which usually has lower ratings than MBC or KBS, the show's rating isn't good even for TVN standard. So unless you fans want to fund the extra episodes, shut up and don't ask for more. More episodes takes more money and considering the show isn't a booming success, only a fool would extend the show.

Anyway, the writers blew the show's chances. First few episodes are crucial and the show butchered the first few episodes, so while it got better it lost good part of its viewers due to it. So if you want to blame the bad ratings on someone, blame the writers.

Oh my goodness .. please just extend to 20+ eps, or just make the season 2!

21minute Mar 01 2017 3:42 am Episodes 11 and 12 were great! The show improved a lot after episode 5. I really hope the ratings would improve with the remaining four episodes. It's still stuck in 1%. The first two episodes got 2-3% but the general public basically gave up on it afterwards (which was understandable at that time). I'm really curious on how the story would unfold after episode 12 but I'm also fearing the end of this show. I'm not yet ready for it to end. T_T

But don't forget that maybe it was because she was out for revenge and didn't really like him until things became clearer to her about him. Now you notice that the chemistry between them get's stronger with each episode. But the battle is just beginning, I got a feeling Woo II is going to try all kinds of trouble before it's over. And I don't what Yi Soo is about yet.

IssyCee Feb 25 2017 9:24 am I was skeptical in whether I should start this drama despite liking the cast due to the many criticism about the female lead in the first few episodes but I decided to give ep 1 one a go. It was quite entertaining even though Hwan Ki's introverted behavior was something I could not relate to personally (guess I'm not such an extreme introvert haha) but I liked it more than I was hoping~~ so I will keep going with this one! :D

I just find it weird and deleted all its episodes in my phone. Too bad for Woo jin because i really liked him since his drama with Han groo.

I don't understand why this kdrama receives so much hate when I can't wait for monday for 11th episode.❤ This is definitely one of my unforgettable kdramas. I'm getting fond of chae ro woon! she's just amazing! It's really heartwarming to see both characters meet halfway to understand each other. THE BEST!!!!!

You should not missed every episode but i think the boss should hire trainor in speech power secretly so that he can shows to his staff and to his opponent that he could present his project alone. He should be shown that he can stand on his feet alone without helping by his staff. If that be the problem that he is ashame speaking in front of others hire instuctor to overcone his trauma then he could face everybidy and will shock of changes. Il rate this 98percent

I really like it so far. The story is so good plus the chemistry of the characters and it's simple, funny, heart warming and relatable. Most of all, I am obsessed with Yeon Woo Jin again, hahaha. So excited for the upcoming episodes. :D

At first I was so confused because after she hears Woo Il talking to Eun Hwan Gi, it immediately cuts to the scene where she kills herself, so I thought to myself "If she killed herself because he said she threw herself onto him, that's a pretty stupid reason to do it." But after seeing how calm Yi Soo is after seeing Chae Ro Woon, and how she seems to cling onto Woo Il in spite of everything messy he does, I become very suspicious. Also, she has a mean facial expression, I don't really like her at all. She seems to take after her father.

Daisy01 Feb 15 2017 2:59 pm So far, I am starting to think that Eun Yi-Soo (Eun Hwan-Ki's sister (EHK)) had something to do with Chae Ji-Hye's death. It makes no sense that she would kill herself just like that, especially given how much she loves her family. Eun Yi- Soo displays traits of someone with a personality disorder and it is fair to say she might also suffer from a mental disorder like EHK. It is not uncommon for traits of mental disorder to pass down among family members.

So I didn't mind her at first, but in the end I do understand why she is like that; that her role made her so. As a child that have been 'maybe' ignored by her family, she is really must be an annoying girl outside her house, trying to get attention. Shipping Kim gyo ri vs Eun hwan gi? I don't think so. They'll make a worst couple (for this drama). Their personalities in this drama are not suitable for each other, their relationship will end up having no progress. Hope this drama will turn out well. Fighting for all the actors!

I can't figure it out but she is not fit to be a lead actress yet. Even if they let her hair down this time. Funny because they changed the look of the other secretary they are preventing her to shine but the truth is if she is the lead actress it might be better.

ive watched shows where the actor is not my favorite but has performed well thus i enjoyed the show.

where on the other hand seen my favorite actors have terrible roles and the storyline sucked eggs.

personally i liked the storyline and the lead female actress performs her role well.

please judge the characters on how they perform their roles, not how they look. Im so tired of yearly kdramas with terrible actors and stories, but people (mostly females) rave about them because their all hawt vomit*

Also, I did not watch some drama due of the actor cast, but it seems to me that here is a Park Hye-Soo unfair assessment. She is the opposite of his older sister - younger sister. Sometimes it is the younger sibling is such - just a young :) - and he plays it so, so what what bothers you the? As an actress she is nice and pretty. Somebody even wrote it on this role too young, I to really know how it was meant ... ... And the story develops as I already wrote on this forum, blenny Kang Woo-Il was in episode 5 is displayed in true colors - Park Yoon plays the character really convincing ... I like this drama, keep it up. .. :) .... and do not be discouraged by those prejudiced comments.

I agree that the lead female is really irritating but I think the writer just want to show how extrovert person is with those loud, knowing-everything attitude, and sometimes get to the conclusion by herself even without ask or confirm. I'm an introvert person and often find this kind of issue faced by EHK so this drama is very realistic imo. Tho I don't agree with the title, it may brings wrong idea about introvert. I think EHK is not only introvert but also has social disorder. In ep 5 CRW starts to think that his boss isn't a jerk and she gets more interested in him. I'll keep watching

Usually I'm ok with this kind of character of overreacting (like Hwang Jeung Eum in She Was Pretty), but the actress here couldn't really portray her character's emotions. I feel like all of her acting are pretty shallow that it reminds me that everything is just an act and fake. If someone is a great actor/actress, although technically they are acting, I would think that the character is real (if you know what I mean).

CEO pointed this out when he picked members of Silent Monster. The fun comes in watching the awkwardness as friendships develop and their true selves are revealed.

The story is an insult to people with psychological problems and making fun of their disabilities. Perhaps if its a school setting it wouldn't be hard to understand how his being treated but not in an adult workplace for it's just a drama..... Its sad that the main lead actor is good enough to portray his character but the lead girl is a worse case of the shoe that don't fit.

The lead actress is so annoying and her voice and acting are like nails on a chalkboard to me. She believes her boss is an arrogant rich jerk who doesn't take responsibility for his actions and that he his behind her sister's death. It should be called "My Misconstrued Boss" due to everything so far. I think we can all guess who the true villain of the show is. And I hope they pay for their sins and don't get easily forgiven. That person is so manipulative, I hope the boss isn't completely clueless. I'm looking forward to future episodes! So far this show has filled me up with such joy! Hurry up and give us more, please!

What I love about his dramas is that he keep casting the actors/actress from his past dramas to be a cameo or have their own roles in the drama (Heo Jeongmin for example).. It's exciting to see them >< so I was really looking forward to this drama... But when I watched the first 2eps, the drama seems disappointing to me ? I tried to love the female lead's, but the character is just annoying... Chae Rowoon's character reminds me a bit of Joo Jangmi from MND, maybe because it was written by the same author, but I think CRW is too much and irritating ?? can I just ship Eun Hwanki with his secretary instead? ?

Their chemistry is fine, but Chae-Ro Woon lives in the belief that the death of the sisters is responsible Eun-Ki Hwan, who as everyone might guess, is not true. Eun-Ki Hwan battling her disease is caused by an despotic father and his fawning Kang Woo-Il, ktreý situation abuses. So give drama a chance that it went well .... :)

I have a high expectation to the male lead because I always love the drama he's in. But I don't know why I am not enjoying whenever the lead female scenes come up, I always press 'skip' and it's just me or not I love Hwan Gi with his secretary moment, in the hospital! I don't watch other drama which the female lead was in before and I am no one to judge actually but that's how I feel. I am not enjoying this drama whenever the female lead show up :(

I believe that Hye Soo's a good actress (loved her in Age of Youth), but her acting here is not that good. And four eps have passed they still have a weak chemistry. I keep on giving it chances because the story and Woo-Jin's acting is promising.

Now Park Hye Soo here got an annoying character. If you want to blame Chae Ro Woon personality, please blame the writer/PD-nim. Not the actual real life person. Try to watch Age of Youth, Park Hye Soo's character is soo introverted, shy, yet cute as she portrait it good.

I do agree the Chae Ro Woon character is just too much for me to handle, better ship Hwanki with the secretary Kim

shay Jan 25 2017 6:41 am I really love this drama even with just four episodes out, it's a good drama. Yeon Woo Jin is one of my favourite actors, I hope he gets more recognition for his acting. I am so happy for Park Hye Soo getting her first lead role, I loved her acting in Age of Youth. But I don't understand why people are hating on her, she is supposed to be an extrovert like cheerful and sociable. She is doing her job right.

This show really shows what an introvert is because others shows does show introverts but doesn't get into it like they only give the character to be shy and that is not what an introvert is.

I'm more in love with the other characters as well, everyone has their own unique taste. I hope people would fall in love with show. The storyline isn't rushing too much, it's taking it's time and developing the characters slowly.

Hahaha! I don't mind to have an introverted husband, so I can get control of him but not a boyfriend because he can't protect me and secure my trusts towards him.

cangelz911 Jan 23 2017 10:05 pm Another drama about the usual,always pain,suffering and the need to find an understanding or answer to why someone takes their own life and seek revenge,well that's my take from ep1.As for the lead charactor,i`m yet to see himself come out of this hole he`s in,since showing interest in the lead actress,whom plays the outspoken,i`m gona get you...attitude,which i love in a woman of that calibre and so, i`l continue to watch the rest....Korean`s certainly come out with the best ost for drama`s thats for sure.

Genz Jan 23 2017 9:22 pm I got hooked at this drama in episode 1 (and I want to watch this bec of the lead actor) but as I was watching this, I was getting very annoyed to the female lead. Her character is so nosy and her actions towards her boss is awful. I watched until the latest ep (ep3) but I think I need to stop watching this. I expected this drama to be good because its airing with TVN. I am not criticizing the lead actress' acting. It's just her character is soooooo nosy.

In Age of Youth, she was the shy and quiet one, and it's so fun to see her be the total opposite! The male lead is really good at acting too omg this is gonna be sooo good i'm very excited! Introverted Boss FIGHTINGGG!!

Try to differentiate real and drama, she act like that following the writer's script. The plot is interesting, showing how introvert & extrovert meet.

But until now, I haven't meet any CEO, bosses, managers or supervisors have this kind of characters closer to Hwan Ki. How he can be success with this type of characters? Is he a heir of the company? I can't tell this is a nice drama but at least, it is quite entertainment to me in the mean times and I like this actor, Yeon Woo Jin casts in this drama. He looks cute and younger than the main actress if I didn't know her real ages.

She looks like a pervert to me, sneaking into his male boss whom she's just met on her first day working there? Argh. It's insulting.

Hope to see her acting skills in this drama, will she be able to pull off the character. Another reason i want to watch this drama is because of Yeon Woo-Jin oppa. It's seems like a lifetime since I've seen him in a drama.

Oh and by the comments below, people were hoping for Yoon Do Joon but yet he declined. I'm interested in this drama because of Yeon Woo Jin and I can say he's a a good actor. And again, another-drama-with-ten-years-apart-leads, but like I said, who knows? Acting may defeat age gaps...

Oh, also, I am kinda interested in TvN dramas lately with its fresh, funny and different themes than any usual korean-romantic-dramas. So I have a big hope for this drama...
