As a child, Eun-Hee (Lee Yoon-Ji) and her younger sister Eun-A were placed in an orphange and eventually separated. Now, as an adult, Eun-Hee has adopted a young boy named Ha-Yoon (Jo Yeon-Ho). Ha-Yoon was abandoned as soon as he was born, but he has now become a recognizable child actor. Trouble brews for Eun-Hee and Ha-Yoon, when Ha-Yoon's birth mother appears and tries to take him back. Eun-Hee struggles to protect her son from his greedy birth mother.

Park Min Mar 10 2023 1:26 pm I don't know why most of these "mothers" themed drama fail to make the theme work and end up shooting themselves in the foot. What made the matter even worse is how weak the FL character is, it didn't suit playing a proper image of a mother in these specific circumstances. There were so many ways they could stir the story but they choose the least interesting and the longest way. After episode 24 everything was laid out and there was nothing to lookout for.

TW Oct 07 2022 2:41 am Episode 47 (I think that's the episode), Gun Woo's sister So Jung has nightmare where she is running with smoke and ash on her as she is crying for her sister Eun Hee, running away from the adoptive home that's on fire. She is supposed to have died in that fire. So is So Jung secretly adopted by Gun Woo's dad and both Gun Woo and So Jung don't know? Poor Ha Yoon, he is getting the bad luck from all the horrible people around him, grandma Park, biological selfish mom, and errogant dad. Even though I get upset every time they are on, I still watch the show because it is very good. I want Gun Woo and Eun Hee to get together and get Ha Yoon back so he can be happy and healthy.

Herra Dec 04 2019 8:38 am The only one i'm love - hate with melodrama is the lead role will have a complicated life.. it's sure.. Ok, this drama it's good very heart touching, i really hate when suk jin and his mother park bo ae come.. like rrrrr what happen with this mother and son.. Eun hee life like really up and down because of park bo ae.. when park bo ae talking with her expression aka her innocent exp it's really annoying.. but for a second i think " aah it's just drama " calm down hahahahaha lol it's mean her acting it's great.. But, because this is family drama i'm not focus with the romance in this drama.. like i'm not pay attention with chemistry in eun hee and gun woo / ja gyung and suk jin.. Overall this drama verry recommended if you're looking for long episode drama..

Yu-ri is 8 this past February. She is a pretty little girl and a good actress also.

They both did a great job in their roles.

Star Wars Fan Jun 13 2017 1:49 am When this drama started, it was 120 episodes. Why did they cut off 2 episodes?

Something happened between Ep 114 and 115 I believe. Suk=Jin was flat lining at the end of the show, but it didn't pick up there at the next episode. Did he get help or did he just come to by himself???

Also, between Ep 115 and 116, it appeared Yu-Ri and Mi-Sook were living in Eun Hee's apartment?????? Or was it one that looked just like it??? I saw on another post that they said the same thing, so maybe I am right. How strange is all this??? So did Mi-Sook see the mansion they were living in?

Gun Woo was so funny when they were looking at wedding dresses and he wanted a dress to completely cover her all up. Ha-Joon was so adorable helping pick out her dress. Gun Woo and Eun Hee did a good job in this show supporting and being there for each other. Nice couple.

The jewelry that Park gives to Ja-Yong, is that her jewelry or the jewelry that she stole from Eun-Hee's mother???? I wonder if she kept that jewelry or sold it???

Ryan Jun 10 2017 4:13 am Why are people talking about Ha-Joon at the acting school or what ever he goes to??? He loves it so much now he is not happy about going there. Poor little Ha-Joon has to suffer so much because of Park and her family. They don't have any idea of what they did to that little boy, they are so blind and stupid and greedy. Ha-Joon should not have to be feeling bad for anything he did as he is just an innocent little boy caught in between a mess his grandmother and his father created for him.

I love the interaction between Ha-Joon and Gun Woo. So much more warmth between them than anything I ever saw between Suk-Jin and Ha-Joon.

David Jun 09 2017 3:14 am I just saw Ep 114 ------ I thought I would throw up when I saw Ja-Kyung feeding Park. It was so phony. Stupid scene. How stupid is this show turning out to be??

Mi-Sook, I would like to slap her in her face that she is mad at Gun Woo for trying to trap Suk-Jin. She lives in LaLa Land, it is her mother and her brother's fault for all they did to Eun Hee's family, and so far, no one has gone to jail. Ja-Kyung's mother for dumping poor little Ha-Yoon at Park's door step not even cleaned up after birth, henceforth his illness. Park wanting to get rid of the baby, now she can't live w/out Ha-Yoon. Suk-Jin screwing around with Eun-Ha's new product line to get back at them. Give me a break.

GW feels bad for setting Suk-Jin up????? How else can they get the truth out of those evil lying conniving scheming people. Gun Woo needs to get some back bone and not feel bad for what he did. SJ and his disgusting mother have done a lot of bad things and they are not sorry.

And why would Eun-Hee go see Suk-Jin in the hospital??? The story is going down hill. If EH lets Suk-Jin off because of Ha-Joon, I will have wasted my time watching this drama.

And why is Park driving around in a car when she has dementia?? Why are they allowing her to drive??? Why doesn't MS take the keys away from her instead of complaining about what is happening to her family??? Ja-Kyung was going to take care of her???? Where was JK's mother???

Eun Hee may go easy on SJ because of Ha-Hoon, but her sister probably will not nor forgive him.

Space cadet Hong Se Ra is dreaming about getting her hands on Gun Woo's father. She is dreaming. She is after his money, that is why she likes Suk Jin, because he bought them a villa, and was supporting her and Ja-Kyung with money. Keep dreaming lady.

Andrew Jun 07 2017 3:19 am Hard for me to believe Ja-Kyung told SJ "that he was the nicest person!!!" When was that??? While he knew what his mother did when he was small, he really couldn't do anything about it, but yet he lived his life as a rich person on Mr. Im's money along with his sister. Plus what he did to Eun Hee, marry her just to get his hands on cute innocent little Ha Yoon, then dump her so he could go back with Ja-Kyung. Is that being nice?????? Plus SJ changed Ha-Yoon's family register to his and took off EH's name. Was SJ ever nice to EH at all?????

Plus he has done nothing but aggravate EH and her sister ever since they separated. If it wasn't for Eun Hee, his stupid evil, greedy mother who grew her restaurant on Mr. Im's money, and SJ is upset now that Gun Woo bought it, his dumb stupid mother was going to put Ha Yoon in an orphanage. Eun Hee is the person who begged evil Park not to put the little baby in the orphanage and he raised him. Idiot SJ does not know about that. I hope his mother and him end up in jail.

Stupid SK should have tried to change his mother's evilness toward's Eun Hee instead of helping her to do more.

I feel bad for Yuri as she is a sweet little girl, more mature and better than her mother. I was happy when Wang Sun was dating another girl. I was hoping he would marry the other girl. But the writer had other plans for him. Wang Sun is way too good for MS.

sunlover May 25 2017 3:44 am I noticed Seung-Won (Gun Woo) lightened his hair and eyebrows around Ep 99. It was black thru most of the show.

why HY is out and about by himself with no adults?? And how is Mrs. Park seems to know when and where to find him? Gun Woo's father hired body guards for Eun Hee, but he should have also hired them for Hy-Yoon. Why does EH let Hy-Yoon go out by himself??? Ms. Park took him once and she can do it again. Plus Ms. Park tells HJ all kinds of crap.

After all Mrs. Park and SJ has done, SJ is talking about getting revenge!!! His foolish and ignorant mother has Dementia, how does that make any sense? Park ruined people's lives and thinks she can do what she wants without any consequence,

SJ is like his mother, he blames everything on EH. It is not her fault his mother got dementia. He could care less what his mother did to EH's father, he is living off EH's father and he knows it. He has no right to look down on EH.

That she brought him to Ms. Park's place in a box and not even cleaned him up after the birth????? I don't care for the idea that the writer/s hooked up Gwang-So with Son Myung-Sun. I don't know why the writer/s continue to do this in their dramas!!! While he is OK, Myung-Son has the other witch for her mother-in-law and JK for her sister-in-law after having gone through all that jazz with them. Same story line in Golden Pouch. Stupid plot stories.

When Lee So Jung was small she was kind of snippy, she still is at times. We all knew So Jung was in love with Gun Woo.

Im Ee Han Feb 09 2017 11:50 am The truely evil in this drama is PBH, SSJ mother. SSJ also stupid, who things that his mother is a good person. Yes, he doesn't know yet that his mother took away all EH & EA 's father assets but he knews that his mother perposely left EH&EA at the orphanage because she wants her children get what the sisters have before when their father still with them.

KJK the real mother of IHY is the victim of situation. She being used by her mother since she was a kid. She hates her mother for using her to make money but she already get used to celebrity life, so it doesn't matter her anymore. Until she met IHY, her real son. She feels trap in the situation. She has the mother instinct towards IHY, that shows when she kept being irritiated when IHY still not move on from EH and also when IHY got leukimea and getting worse until he needs the bone marrow transplant (I just guessing this since I am not yet get to see the subtitles for episode 51 onwards :p and I watch without subtitle hahaha) she looks so frustrated and started to act like the real mother. I can't blame her at all, I rather blame her greedy mother for her bad attitudes after all she faced in her life.

LSJ is the missing sister, EA. LGW did mention that his younger sister put on long sleves all the time because of her burnt scars. She also dreamt about the fire incidence and she went to a place where Her brother asked her to follow him going back home after the mother passed-away. She asked, is that home the home mom's lived. LGW answer, yes, it is the home where they lived together. But somehow because of the trauma (left by the real father, being left in the orphanage with her sister, then being separated with her sister, torchered by the adopted parents, and some more the fire incidence) she forget her bad memories after getting a new life with her brother and father.

LSJ attitude towards her brother relationship with EH is because she attached too much with his brother, furthermore they are not real siblings. When she was left alone by the world, she said LGW was there for her and saved her. Yes, she told KJK that without her brother, she already die. i thought that this maybe also because LGW was the one who saved her in the fire but I thing it is wrong since she dreams the little EA walks alone and saved from the fire herself. I also think that maybe her attitude towards EH is because of instinct of sisterhood that she not yet recover. (I am living in a dreamland, yet I imagine too much haha)

The real father not dead. The police found a body but not their father. Somehow I feel he will appear and get revenge on PBA the evil ahjumma. She made a great sin yet she asking what sin she did to have her children dissapointing her. HAHAHAHA crazy women.

I don't know why KJK mother are sooooo greedy! Well, mother is a human. Human never perfect :p

Well... what else? That's all I got until now. 70 episodes to go! Long story but not dissapointing yet.

Star Wars Fan Feb 03 2017 2:32 am Hmmmmm....... Eun Hee's little sister had black hair and glasses. If Gun=Woo's sister is EH's sister, she could have contacts on. So=Jung seemed to be pretty nice early on until she found out about EH and then Ja=Kyung. Then her personality seemed to change to jealously.

I was concerned early in the episodes when Ha-Yoon saw Ja-Kyung (the Juice girl on TV) and said he liked her. And when he was filming with her and he was home afterwards with EH, he said he wanted to see "Ja-Kyung." She is fawning over him even though she doesn't know it is her real son and Ha-Yoon seems to be enjoying it. The closer they get, I wonder what will happen when he finds out she is her real mother. I am only at Ep 27.

Sunbeam Feb 01 2017 2:31 am Suk-Jin is a mama's boy - he knows some what what his mother did to Eun Hee's family, but not all. Yet, he does not stand up for Eun Hee while his mother is criticizing her.

Why are all these shows - have the same theme????? Always everyone is connected to one another.

Gun Woo's sister runs hot and cold, sometimes nice and sometimes degrading to other people. If GW's sister is Eun Hee's sister??? wonder how she will feel when the truth comes out at the end of the show, I assume, that she degraded her sister so bad.

I hope GW stays away from sneaky and conniving Ja-Kyung.

This show reminds me of Rosy Lover's, when the mother was doing a TV show with her daughter. Same thing in this show.

Unfortunately, when Eun Hee married Suk-Jin she was on the way to dark days. When Bok Ae found out the EH agreed to marry Suk-Jin, she immediately took charge of Ha Joon. EH didn't get the drift.

When Gun Woo proposed to EH, he also should have mentioned to her that if they got married, they would have a good chance to keep Ha Joon. EH was not aware of that information. Unfortunately though, the damage had already been done by stupid low class Gun-Woo's sister, prior to G-W proposing. Unfortunately he was in the dark of that disgusting conversation.

sunbeam Jan 17 2017 2:02 am I only saw Seung-Won in Love and Secret, and he did well in that drama also. Unfortunately I haven't seen in any of the other dramas he did. He sure is a good looking young man.

The two mothers in this show are truly evil people.

I was so happy he finally got a lead role. I love his character here. I hope he confess his feelings to Eunhee soon. hihi. An ideal guy. Anyway, I am so into weekend and daily dramas right now and I am so far loving this. Watched 7 episodes and I love it. Can't wait for more.

kurly korean Nov 26 2016 9:27 am I don't normally watch 120 episodes but since I already started watching it and I love the cast and cant wait to find out the mystery of her father...is he dead or not? and the mystery of her sister...is she dead or not? and not to mention SeungWon. I would really like to see the end of this drama tho I have a feeling that the mother is really going to annoy us. but I recommend it so far because I watched 4 episodes and you cry buckets...trust me. A MUST WATCH AND DONT WOORY ABOUT THE AMMOUNT OF EPISODES AND JUST GO WITH IT...the acting is on point. and the young versions did a FANTASTIC JOB they made me cry and cry.
