Mick Psyphon Nov 22 2020 8:47 pm The first time that I ever saw Ahn Kil-Kang act was in 2008’s Il Ji Mae; and anytime that I’ve seen him in any other role, I’ve known that I would enjoy the show.

He’s quite a versatile actor, with the ability to switch from humorous to serious in a flawless heartbeat. Seeing him in Tale of the Nine Tailed is a treat. I’m only on episode four... and he seems to only have a small part... but he adds so much to each scene that he’s in.

I’d love to see him get a few more prominent and lead roles. He has an interesting face; and I think that he can carry the right story in a way the few actors are capable of.

Delicia Ambrosino May 05 2018 6:29 pm I believe Ahn Kil-Kang to be one of the best actors in South Korea and by no means gets the recognition , I feel, he deserves. He portrays every different character exceptionally well not to mention the fact that he is extremely manly looking which is refreshing after seeing numerous "pretty" flower boys. The one thing about K-drama I do dislike is many times older actors and actresses are put on the back burner as supporting actors instead of leads. K-Drama needs to understand that America for one is really starting to watch more K-drama's and many of us don't want to see "cutsey" actors all the time. We enjoy older with extremely good talent and Ahn Kil-Kang fits that bill as do a few others.

From playing a bad to good to miserable character, he is one of the best (even supporting) actors Ive seen almost in every dramas I watched. He’s been acting ever since and you can tell by his impressive portfolio! So much respect goes to this Ahjussi.

I don't know that much about him family wise, because there's a member of Kinjaz that looks Soooo much like him, like a younger version hahaha. Maybe, because his character and acting in Cheese In the Trap is way far from Orange Marmalade. :) I guess, he is also the father of Bok Joo? Haha

This tough leader of a man could rumble with Daekgil but at the same time have sadness for his yearning, searching for that one woman he lost. At the same time, love the little Prince by entertaining him to make him smile and quirks coming down to his level. What a wonderful performance Ahn Gil Kang. There is a Chinese Drama were the lead goes back in time, I think the english title is "Man comes to Tang Dynasty" I think another time travel Korean drama that is light hearted like that show would be a perfect fit for him as a supporting role.

Jo Waller Aug 01 2014 7:38 am What a versatile and committed actor. First I saw Kil-Kang in was Queen Seon Duk & his acting was awesome. He drew me into the plot and was totally believable. Then Chuno! WOW another AWESOME performance which showed me versatile an actor he really is. Since then, anything I see with Kil-Kang in amazes me. I know from the start that he will be someone else entirely which is very refreshing as a lot of actors are very predictable in performances. I LOVE watching him at his craft, as he always brings his best performances. Ahn Kil-Kang would have to be in my top 10 all time greatest actors basket. I really look forward to watching him in the ones I haven't seen yet, which is exciting as an avid movie buff :) thank you so much Kil-Kang for your wonderful contribution to the world of fantasy as we watch with amazement a man who is truly one of the GREATS! This is the kind of man that you know will protect and defend, that is so hot. I have seen him in several dramas/movies and will continue to choose movies with him in them...He brings real into fantasy, so I can believe and be moved by what I am viewing. I have to get back to work and stop obsessing on my baby.

He was the magnificent leader of the slaves' mountain hideout (Jakgwi) and one of the last people to bid farewell to Dae Gil and escort the royal party to their destination. I would have thought you would have been given more roles, especially after your portrayal as Chil-sook because you played a very powerful, complicated, emotional role. Your character as torn between undying loyalty to MiShil, Hwarang tradition and Moono, loving Sowha, yet pursuing Duk Man to your death. I think you have a very strong presence on film and even in minor roles, you are very noticeable and have a very masculine look, which I find quite appealing. I look forward to seeing more of you in future roles. Much success your career because you deserve it.

Bernadeth Feb 23 2010 9:35 pm Firstly, your role in Queen Seon Deok amazes and entertains me a lot because it's mysterious, redeeming with a touch of care & love...from an assasinator to a concerned person due to his disability, but with a touch of "A Caring Warrior" for Ms. So Hwah...indeed a very inspiring role and you did it superbly, everytime i switched on the program which is aired in our country via GMA, i could hardly wait to see you....the character of chil-suk comes to life because of you...congratulations and hope to see more of you..: )

If you find him irritating and disgusting, it simply means that he is an effective actor. Isn't he popular enough? He got the Best supporting actor award for this role. This is the first i get scared whenever I see a person in mocie. Just by seeing him, I am intimidated already..LOL He gain respect as an actor for being chil-suk from all over the world.
