Jin Moo-Hak (Kim Min-Jae) is the second son from a family that runs the global restaurant franchise firm Dondon F&B. The company started from a gamjatang (pork bone stew) restaurant. He lacks education, but has an excellent ability to make money.

Meanwhile, Kim Da-Li (Park Gyu-Young) is a visiting researcher of an art gallery. She is the only chid of a prestigious family. Kim Da-Li can speak 7 different languages and she has a good personality, but she is not very good at doing household chores like cooking.

Jin Moo-Hak and Kim Da-Li happen to meet without knowing about each other's backgrounds and they develop good feelings for each other. Due to an art gallery that is going bankrupt, they meet again as the son of a rich, uneducated family and the daughter of a prestigious family.

CHANCELLOR 7 Aug 13 2023 12:14 am I like this show…Park Gyu Young is a great actress because I was shouting at the TV when Da-Li was making the wrong decisions or being weak. The employees like Hwang Bo Ra’s character and Mu Hak were great…and though Mu Hak loved money, he reminded me of a caring father who wants the best for you, but doesn’t know how to show his love and emotions.

Mu Hak was so right, Da-Li had to get to work to save the museum. I think that is a big lesson…we as humans shouldn’t pity ourselves or be naive. Money is needed and we must work for it, if we want to help others like unfortunate children and the people we work with. Da-Li was so smart yet so naive & innocent. I love that Mu Hak helped her see that.

She is a highly educated art specialist who thinks she is making polite conversation to an eccentric art assessor (wearing crocs with flashing decorations). He is a businessman in the restaurant business who knows his pigs, and thinks he is attending a Pig Farmers convention in Amsterdam, and she is a menial who has picked him up from the airport. She asks him why he was chosen to come to the [Art Soiree/he thinks 'convention']. He replies in all seriousness, 'Old people like me. Parents like me. Some young women like me. (Pause) I have a pretty face - yes I know I have a pretty face. But I have a killer bod as well.' Dali bursts into laughter and says he is so witty, joking like that with a straight face. Emotions cross his face: outrage - lack of understanding - pout - amazement at not being taken seriously and finally pleasure at seeing the serious pretty girl Dali laughing. I laughed out loud many times in this show.

Willow Feb 13 2023 1:28 pm 9/10 Finally some humour that wasn't fake. Mu-Hak and Da-Li clicked on screen creating sparks. Da-Li's outfits are amazing and she comes across as classy. Full credit to the wardrobe staff. Mu-Hak is disastrously swarve, not subtle but is very romantic. Even the bedroom scene has humour. Won tak and Mi-Ri are great as sidekicks and the facial expressions of the secretary are priceless. I am so tired of the reserved wallflower bullsh*t most of the dramas portray. This one is refreshingly funny, passionate and shows the female lead standing up for what she believes in. I think it lost a bit of the momentum in the last episode and the acting of the father and step mum were over the top so you lost a point.

And I appreciate how the make her friend actually love her as a friend and not some one sided love storyline. The main couple is interesting, the museum workers and that annoying brat's background are well established too. A very enjoyable drama

This drama is delightful and I wish I hadn’t waited so many months to watch it but conversely I’m glad to be watching it now because it puts me in a good mood. I needed something modern and comedic after finishing Under The Queen’s Umbrella and I picked this drama over others in My List because Kim Min-Jae is the ML and I loved his character and his little dance in ‘Tempted’.

This was such a sweet, refreshing and bubbly drama. It had everything: romance, comedy, drama, minor melodrama moments...

This is one of those kdramas where the main lead has CHARACTER. He is not your typical cold lead. He was warm, passionate, funny and very romantic. I also loved the female lead in this, she was cute and she had good character development. I liked the fact that we got to see her go from a dainty victim to a woman who actually sticks up for herself.

The museum storyline was easy to follow. Won-Tak and Secretary Yeo had to be two of the best side characters ever. Won-Tak because he was so protective and such a hot-head, and Secretary Yeo for her little antics. I loved the relationship between Mu-Hak and his secretary, they were such a good team together.

Also...this was one of the only kdramas I've seen where the female lead initiated the kiss scenes. I liked that alot.

If you are hesitating to watch this, don't. It was a drama that was well-thought out and lovely to watch!

The use of clever flashbacks, the music with its perfect ambiance for the tone of the scene and the clever plot are all so professional. But it is the two leads that elevate this to perfection. I have never seen the male lead, Kim Min-Jae, so perfect: funny, handsome, brave and above all so sincere in his affection for Dali.

Park Gyu-Young is always excellent but here, in a lead role, she shines as a young woman thrown into the position of museum director while grieving the sudden loss of her father.

The mystery is clever and slowly revealed thru quick flashbacks.

All of the cast is excellent and the plot moves along briskly.

It was so refreshing to see a romance between two adults that avoids the cliches of parents breaking them up or the heroine bravely giving up the male for ¨his own good.¨ These two are so honest with each other and so mature in how they face crisis after crisis and yet so funny also.

I have recommended it to many friends and all of them loved it.

Xii Aug 02 2022 8:40 am It had all the potential to be such a great series. I enjoyed it mostly, but the fake overly ridiculous way of pretending to be cute is repulsive. It ruins a story which could have been brilliant. It makes me fast forward through the ridiculous scenes, the overly theatrical acting, it's awful it doesn't allow you to lose yourself in the momentum of the story & trust in the depth of the actors to guide you through it and love it completely.

The lack of karma or true justice being done in the end to the head of Segi group was another disappointment. The cast list is impressive, but it felt like the whole thing wasn't directed in a way that could have let them show their brilliance, it's a let down. With a voice and the looks of someone like Lee Do-Kyung you could have had this great wise character of strength & the higher moral values for everyone to be in awe of, but instead he was a weaklings father..

And she getting drowned in debt. Getting attention for her museum should be the number priority for her but instead shes mad at moohak lmao i just cant with the writer making her do and say stupid shiz when she supposed to be the smart one. I’m done with this drama lol

nalimo Jul 24 2022 6:43 pm a perfect drama, if you're looking for a fun cute romance story with interesting characters and some action this is the one for you. Watching this makes me really happy so this drama easily became one of my favorites.

I want to point out that I love how the two leads understand each other even though they're really different, they always have respect and compassion towards each other therefore there is no room for miscommunication and futile drama. They just love each other and I was smiling like crazy watching them, they have great chemisty.

glen Jul 20 2022 2:45 pm I have to say I am getting very bored with Kdramas. They are simply recycling the same plotlines with different actors. This is no different. Charisma free lovers that begin by disliking each other - end up loving each other - forced separation by busybody parents - final reunion. The end. There was no chemistry whatever between the two leads - their kissing scenes were very poor and very infrequent. The female assistant in the male suit overacted like mad. They need fresh ideas desperately to keep viewers interested, otherwise the Korean Wave is going to end up a trickle on the beach of Asian entertainment.

I think "Da Li and the Mensch" would be better. Kim Min-Jae's character is definitely a likeable mensch. The chemistry between Kim Min-Jae and Park Gyu-Yung is lovely. I couldn't help thinking that they really enjoyed each other. The sweet softness of Park Gyo -Yung character was really appealing, at least to me. In any case, my advice: Watch it.

A very cute drama and I still can’t get over it ! Park gyuyoung acting is amazing! She absolutely nailed the innocent sophisticated chaebol vibes! Hope to see more of her dramas!

Sentinel Apr 29 2022 4:12 am 8/10. This drama don't have heavy stories, conflict or much wisdom to tell. Just a pure story of how the two main leads slowly come together and their circumtances. Despite the seemingly intelligent Female Lead, they still make it a typical Damsel in Distress drama which is actually make sense. Being smart in some areas doesn't make you good at problem solving, especially when you've been raised in a flower field. The most fascinating is the FL, Park Gyu young used to act as an airhead and clumsy girl, the goofy girl side character. BUT she nailed Kim Da Li's character, a smart, prim and proper lady that is a bit naive but not that innocent. Park Gyu young's acting is 10/10. The male lead's is very good too, I like him much more than Yeo jin goo. The romcom is on point, with plot twist at times. Director and screenwriter did a great job. Surprisingly, there are MANY good OST which gives you sweet and comfortable feeling. Definitely an entertaining and enjoyable watch if you want some lighthearted dramas.

What? Mar 31 2022 3:02 am At the very first 5 episodes its boring as hell. The character development especially Mo Hak is inconsistent on those 5 first episode as well, i always confused why he do this and that thing thats very contradict. But at later episodes the writer realize his/her mistake and start fixing it, good.

              Now talking about the main actress Park Gyu-Young, her acting is good  except one, her crying scene. I just cant feel it whenever she do it, it always feel awkward. It has kind of feeling like crocodile tears. When her crying scene come up i always "sighhhh, here we go again".

Overall its good drama 7.4/10

From the main actors to the supporting actors, they all acted so amazing. They fit the role very well. The acting is very natural, it gives the audience a very real feeling. Again, you definitely have to watch it. It feels like a great drama usually ends very quickly. Ohh, I miss them so much.

Sohee Jan 31 2022 5:48 pm At first, I was enjoyinv it. It was funny and they loom lovable to look at. But I keep waiting for Dali to be strong and stop acting weak and showing her vulnerable side. I'm getting sick of her keep receiving help than using her brain since she should be a smart person (based on her background in the story). But it seems like, the writer keeps wanting to show her vulnerable side and being saved by these men on their own way. It was okay for few episodes, but it keeps happening a lot. She doesn't seem to do anything by herself. She gets scared easily, she doesn't seem to think wisely, she keep showing her vulnerable qualities, and honestly, i don't know why the writer even gave her a background as a smart and promising woman when she doesn't seem like it. I keep waiting for her character development, I'm already at episode 10 but she keep standing in the rain, crying and waiting for her kinight and shining armour. This supposed to be a rom com. But it's getting more like melodrama because of her hahaha. I'm just really disappointed on how they made her character. Everything is good, their acting even the supporting cast, it's just the main female caharacter. It's getting worse ever episode

The chemistry between the leads is undeniably lovely. Even the family, PA, the cop... love them all. Apart from the hillariously funny scenes esp from Moohak, I even cried along watching the sad scenes or dialogues. Kudos to the actors & crew! Hope they will work together again. Lastly love Dali's styling & wardrobe, on point! I stan Kim Min Jae & Park Gyu Young from now on! Hwaiting!

Overall, nice drama, great work by all cast, direction, and production. I thoroughly enjoyed Dali and Muhak story and the final scene with them together, side by side.

dalyeon Nov 23 2021 7:10 pm This drama has a simple and a little predictable storyline but how the story is narrated and how the actors portrayed their characters made this series something worth the watch. The female lead has a very impressive educational background however, she's like a lead for reverse-harem animés where the male characters needs to rescue her in times of need. In this story, she has 3 male leads who protects her. But with the circumstances that happened, she eventually learned to be a better person through the main male lead. As for the male lead, I can't say anything bad because the actor did very well in bringing his character to life. He wasn't well-educated like the female lead but he's street-smart and knows how to handle things on his own, having to learn things earlier than most people due to his past. The supporting characters were also good but the actress who played Sec. Yeo was the best supporting actress IMO. Her facial expressions were very funny. All in all, if you want to watch a light-hearted romantic comedy k-drama, I highly recommend to binge watch this series and probably, you'll also would like to hear the OST of this drama because every music played were beautifully chosen to express the mood of the scene. Kudos to the cast and crew of this series.

Even though he is "uneducated" and treated like a second class nobility, he solves his and Dali's (female lead) problems through his experience. Dali, on the other hand, is so educated to the point of having a doctorate degree at a young age, and yet Cannot Solve Her Problems To Save Her Life. She is literally a damsel in distress; her two potential lovers had to save her every time she was in trouble. I do admit the leads had amazing chemistry, but they couldn't save me from the boredom that is this predictable plot.

They have that golden chemistry that is kind of rare these days. Very potent and just so delightful to watch together.

Im Nov 13 2021 6:02 am This drama is so good, truly underrated. Everything about this drama is just so cute, adorable and beautiful. Perfect balance of romance, comedy and little bit of mystery i guess. I get it some people hating the female lead as being too naive and weak, because pretty much kdramas these days be giving the strong female leads characters. But i still feel like this is just perfect, because i see her here as someone who is still growing up. She lost her father, and all of a sudden a lot of responsibility was put on her. She is all alone, and need someone to be there for her, thus why she is very much vulnerable. Moo hak is just the perfect guy for Dali.

The kind of drama that doesn’t made me felt boring and craving for more. It’s not perfect, but it’s very well done. The chemistry of the leads, the storyline, the supporting casts, all are excellent. This drama just keep me smiling most of the time, laughing at their cute and stupid moments haha. And yah won’t forget that it make me feel soooo single (min jae & gyu young faults) :( gosh i love this drama so much <3

Bai Laohu Nov 13 2021 3:10 am I read some of the negative comments re FL. I know everyone has their preferences on who their favourite actors and actresses are. I would like to say that this particular FL, the character of the FL and the actress who plays this role, is one of the very few Kdrama actresses and female role character that I really like. She is gentle, dignified, carries herself well - which is reflective of her upbringing. There is no need to scream and shout to show emotion and strength of character (like so many actresses do in other Kdramas). In my view, the manner in which Park Gyu Young plays this role is perfect. Well done to this very talented actress!

A special mention must be made on Kwon Yul's portrayal of his character Jang Tae-jin. He was absolutely brilliant in this role. He definitely enhanced the quality and level of this drama. I would like to see Kwon Yul in a lead role as a ruthless and extremely smart CEO of a conglomerate and the entire story focused on him. I think he would be brilliant in such a role. I prefer him in a more.gritty drama and not a RomCom. So I hope he gets to plays these challenging roles as the male lead. He was brilliant in Voice 2.

aky Nov 12 2021 5:57 am My Fav Romcom Kdrama This Year!! dali and moohak are just perfect for each other so their chemistry and moments are off the charts!! the comedy, the humour in this drama is really Wow its rare for me to laugh this much even in a supposedly comedy genre drama but here i literally felt like laughing whenever moohak did smth XD and the ending is super cute, they ended it well>< im super glad that they didnt break up for a year as they made us believe at first hehe, this drama broke that romance kdrama stereotype where they Must Break Up Once then get back together towards the end because i really hate it! so anyways, i really appreciate all the cast for doing such a GREAT job and especially our main leads they really did amazing..! whoever casted kim minjae as jin moohak is a Genius cuz i literally cant imagine anyone else for the same role!!!! thanks to the writer nim for writing moohak's perfect character and just this wholesome kdrama<33 i Will for sure rewatch this one day later on because i know i will miss them?

I loved all the characters, the actors and actresses, and appreciate all the hard work the director and crew put into the production. Obviously, the anti-fans missed the quiet fortitude and determination of the FL as if there are no women in life who get things done without shouting "victimhood" and a "look at me" attention need.

RS Nov 10 2021 8:40 pm This drama is disappointing. Before watching this drama, I read first the comments about it and they were mostly positive. However, upon watching the first 11 episodes, I honestly think those comments were overly exaggerated. This drama seems to have been made in the late 2000s, there is nothing new about the plot and more than half of the characters are annoying and predictable. Da-Li's character is so naive and out of touch with reality, I can't believe women are still portrayed like this in 2021. I suggest to only watch it if you're a fan of the lead actors, but if not, there are many more better kdramas to watch :)

Too much shouting, and the story is getting cliche, feels like watching a makjang starting from ep 11. The female lead is so weak that she can barely solve any issue herself, I thought the character is supposed to be smart.

It's so funny, but sweet, with so many different elements like others have said. It's so interesting and the two leads - Ugghhh I Love Them! Their chemistry is so good! I've been aching for Kim Min Jae to have main lead role like this and I'm thrilled that this was the one!! I've been so fond of Park Gyu Young too ever since I first saw her in Romance Is A Bonus Book, gah she was so adorable I have loved everything she's done since too. Ugh I cannot scream enough about how much I am loving this show, the story and the characters. Really energises my midweek! I wish the ratings did it justice but I really wish for the cast and crew to know how much the ones watching are really loving this beautiful show! Thank you so much! <3

I personally think why this drama's ratings was overshadowed by Hometown Cha Cha and The Veil. Still it's a perfect 10/10 if you ask me.

I also love Hwang Bo-Ra's role as Yeo Mi Ri, assistant to male lead. She is perfect for the role. And most of all I love Kwon Yul in this role as ruthless Chaebol CEO. (He was brilliant as psycho killer in Voice 2.) I would like to see him in a lead role in a spy thriller or gangster movie/drama.

My all time favorite romcom Nov 05 2021 7:47 pm One of the best show!! The plot seems simple but dialogue, visual, OST, leads chemistry is so Amazing. I love the character of male lead and Kim Min Jae nailed this role wonderfully with his acting, gestures, face expression and his voice. Guy Young also did a good job as Kim Dali. Lead characters are unique and charming, both of them show the pure love to each other with lots of heart warming moments. Casting are perfect. A must watch!!

Seems like everything will be back on its own place in the ending. Thank you Dali and Moo Hak for making me giggle and fall in love with your chemistry.

Even though the drama is still airing I've watched it multiple times I was too amazed by the cinematography of the show. There are also really small details and I am so thankful for this heartwarming drama with almost no frustrating parts.

Park Gyu Young as Dali was the perfect casting, her hair is beautiful, her acting is wonderful, I cannot imagine anyone else in her role. Although many are disappointed she is not the smart and strong woman that we all expected, it is understandable and commendable that she is still able to function after being beaten down so much and not given time to properly mourn her dad's passing.

Kim Min Jae as Moohak is perfect as well, his deep voice is so sexy and his ignorance is so heart fluttering. Meeting a guy like him after trashy tae jin is refreshing to say the least. KMJ's expressions are all on point and yes...although he shouts a lot, he does it in the right settings and that's how he came to be a successful business man. He is also the best boss any employee could ever ask for...even I want to work at Don Don.

Highly recommended to everyone who hasn't watched it. Plus PGY and KMJ chemistry is just A M A Z I N G!!!

The male lead is portrayed as a prince who does all the work. Definitely not a women empowered drama i was hoping for. She just keep on hitting rock bottom just like greek tragedy. I was expecting a strong comeback from her but turns out that was not the case. She was no more than a fragile princess waiting for her prince to save her all the time. She can't save herself nor the gallery. Not my type of drama so dropped it.

She gets hit, humiliated, abused. Why is her character being such a doormat, it seems everybody is abusive with her.

A man who only cares about money and a woman who never had to worry about money. What a funny truth !! Both main characters learn to understand each other' s world. When Dali is in financial crisis, Muhak makes her understand the real world more than ever. Meanwhile, Muhak gets to understand the importance of art beyond his bank note painting hanged in his home. Two thumbs up for the superb acting of the main characters and all cast members. I enjoy watching the show.

Definetly one of the best drama to watch.it shows how the real world is like.relationship of family no matter how high you are,educated & uneducated but know the world better,greedy peoples.The chemistry between the leads is just so damn good that it gives butterflies everytime.

If you plan on watching this, forget about the capable and witty female lead because when the drama really gets going, it's like she's a completely different person. It's disappointing to see them portray a woman who is capable and highly-skilled at first then makes her someone who is spoiled, doesn't know how the world works and can't progress without the help of a man. I would understand if there were implications of it during the first few episodes but for me there wasn't, it literally came out of nowhere. As for Jang Tae Jin, I really loved him during the first few episodes and desperately hoped they wouldn't go with the bad guy route. Although he is overbearing and oversteps his boundaries A LOT, it seems he genuinely cared about her so when they suddenly revealed that he's working with the assemblyman it was incredibly frustrating. They could've made him a second lead left to pine and regret for the woman who he hurt, who backs off as soon as he sees that she's interested in someone else now and just resort to helping her when she asks for it and being there for her, content that she allows him to even be in her life after what he did. Yes, I know no means no, no if's or but's and he should've backed off when she said she's not interested way before she realized she liked Moo Hak. But for a persistent character like him who seems to have her best interests at heart, it's confusing for him to still care about her and want to protect her but is plotting to take away the things she loves behind her back and even continuing with his evil plans because he couldn't get what he wanted.

Anyways, I went off on a tangent but overall the acting is good, there's a few hiccups here and there but it's not that bothersome. I just wish they went with a different route, away from all the cliches and confusing plot but since I've already invested too much time into this, I have to see it through the end.

She finds a house ransacked by an intruder, a cop calls her instead of telling him she cuts the phone like for real? Otherwise so far very interesting, I know she is grieving but she needs to realize her cousin doesn't have her father's best interest by now. Anyone even a someone who isn't smart can tell he is sabotaging her efforts just by how unhelpful he is and she needs to be a little bit careful with herself. And that employee helping the cousin the dumbest person I have ever met. Yes he has something on her but does she have to make things worse for herself. I would quit the job go clean or something

Episode 7 is 6 and they didn't air episode 7 and 8. As they are supposed to. Other than that. I realy love this show. The cast and storyline line is very good. I hope they fix some issues. So i can get back on track with the show.

The background political plot is a little lackluster but if you look past that, you'll be thoroughly entertained.

(Many other good shows are ruined by female leads who overact) Park Gyu Young executes this role very well. She reflects the elegance and dignity of the character she plays so well. Her portrayal of sadness with quiet dignity is well done.

Other cast members are also very good. Plot is good. I love the setting. From the interiors of the female leader's office in the gallery, her house in Netherlands and Seoul and the male lead's house. Male lead's office furniture also deserves a mention - they are very nice. Usually you see these ugly bulky leather chairs/sofa in men's offices in Kdramas.

Looking forward to new episodes.

However indeed American scholars often pronounce it Modi-gli-an-i, rightly or wrongly. I guess the only one who can say for sure is anyone who actually knew him when he was alive.

She seems so calm, polite and beautiful. I admired her character so much! The lead trio boys are also likeable actors! Recommended!

I dont follow up with Park Gyuyoung so idk if she can speak english well, but when she started speaking i was amazed, its not awkward or anything, idk how to say it but it was rlly good. And what an amazing first episode, i watched it without being bored or waiting "why is it so long, when is this gonna" like that. Deff looking forward for the next episodes
