Park Min May 03 2023 5:00 pm The side cases were fine but the main one was too messy, weak and generic in both seasons. The comedy often relied on loudness, repetition and rattling, in season 1 mostly because season 2 wasn't comedic but just dumb silliness. There's a weird down time between some cases that could've been utilized better. Half of the cases either lacked a proper villain or a proper victim. Don't get me started on the endless dumb moves.

Regarding Season 2, it was a significant downgrade. The series became straight up silly. Just from watching the first episode of season 2 I knew exactly what direction they are taking the sequel. A bad one! I was already sick and tired from the obsession over Hyun Soo but this was only amplified with season 2. Which why, in both seasons, the main case was a despicable mess. They even made Hyun Soo more important than the female lead! They could've taken the story in many interesting directions but they decided to copy the first season and make it dumbed down and sillier. There was no need to make a 2nd season in the first place. Season 2 left me with nothing but disappointment. I don't care about season 3 and would prefer not to get one at all. I would give S1 a 5.5/10 and S2 a very generous 3.5/10.

What's even the point of forcing a romantic connection between the leads in season 2 if they weren't gonna do anything with it? It didn't even serve a purpose for the climax. Speaking of which, after endless mentions of Hyun Soo, the drama didn't allow the male lead to interact with Hyun Soo after he found it her identity. After all the commotion, it ended up in vein. Even more, the female lead backstory of her parents death was given less than 10 minutes of attention in both seasons.

Drama dream May 16 2022 11:04 am Season 3 please... we are still waiting while checking on about Season 3.. please make a season 3.. and of course with the original cast members.

Specially Kwon Sang woo, Choi Gang hee, Kim Hyun sook, Park Byung eun, Oh Min sook, Kim Min sang, and others as well... ahh.. Kim Won hae, Kwon Min ah, Kim Jong hyun they were also my fav actors and their characters in season 1 and 2 were really interesting.

Please make Season 3... The real culprits/actually masterminds are still free...They should be captured... We are still waiting..

SETBB May 31 2020 3:51 pm I have watched season 1 because of Kwon Sang woo (he was the only one I could recogized) and I really liked it, it was so interesting! I was soooo excited when season 2 came out! It was good don't get me wrong, but I did felt like it was dragging a bit more, since the last episodes were the most interesting and of course I wanted some Kiss scene hahah! Now I have been waiting for the season 3 and I see the lead actors participating in new movies and dramas and I'm like.. Is there no season 3 or do we have to wait more? Personally I don't mind waiting more if this guarantees a great storyline.

Alexey May 08 2020 2:35 pm So the 1st season wasnt as good. I thought that a bigger budget and better actors will make this one better. Im on the 8th episode, and well I can already say that it's worse. Too much deaths, main characters and their lifes become annoying. There were some good characters, probably because of actors, like Lee Da Hee, Kim Won Hae, but the plot and everything is just weird. They totally forgot about half of the characters at some point, and now I've heard that second season leaves on cliffhanger. You believed someone is going to watch more 16 dragging episodes with unbelievable stories and cases? Should've finished it. That's a no for me. So far5/10 only for some nice originality from place to place and acting. Wouldn't recommend..

Don't let us hanging please, if you will finish the series, do not let it end as a cliffhanger. Secretary kim still on the loose, President Ha teaming up with him and a former detective became hid lackey. We Need Closure. We need justice for all those who are murdered by secretary kim's schemes. 2 years later and still no news for 3rd season? Huhu.

D Oct 03 2018 8:33 am I think the true mystery of this show is how she can’t pass a police exam but can solve cases while there are a bunch of dumb people around playing police officers. How did the chief’s daughter pass when all she does is take selfies and spends daddy’s money. I think this is the true mystery that contradicts all sense of reasoning and logic. Even her lunch box making friend passed the exam when I’ve never even seen her interested in anything other than making food. People can’t pass the exam with years of studying but her friend did with no studying or interest? Defies all logic! So the only creative storyline they could come up with is to make her not book smart but still an avid reader with a great memory and attention to detail? Sherlock was a genius. You can’t compare her to him if you are going to make her book dumb. There must be a lot of geniuses in the police department if she can’t even pass the exam. So many contradictions!!!

PrinceOfMystery Aug 05 2018 12:17 pm The final case was a slope to the next season where it finally reveals chief Kim (and yes, the evil chief Kim, not the hilarious chief Kim we all love). Im sure if your are a fan of mystery, detective or thrilling, its so easy to know who is chief Kim from the very first scene in this season. The only twist is Hyun Soo’s clones and the spy from chief Kim in the police station. About the mid-end case, it seems to me the director has carefully planned Mi Joo’s path: suffer, happy, fairwell and same to the poor chubby boyfriend. Of course who killed the beauty should be cursed! Nonetheless, the investigating time is fast-paced and not become boring like other series. Plus, Lee Da Hee should be noticed for her performance and beauty, not because she appeared on RM or being paired with the loser LKS! You fanboys and fangirls please consider your opinions on compliments or judges. Its really annoying to see someone bullshitting about a cheap-instant-ramen TV show comparing to a seasonal focusing drama. Shame on you!

For me the flaw is there are too many situations going on, even in a single episode, and too many new "relevant" caracters, making the final product too fragmentary. And sometimes the forensic aspect is a little sloppy (look at the rapist/murder case, you can easily refut the new evidence even without the forensic team or exlude Go Shi Hwan as suspect just looking at his alibi at the time of her death). Anyway i'm here impatiently waiting for season 3...

By the way, i knew who was Secretary Kim the first time i saw him/her (i don't want to spoil)

Kris May 11 2018 11:49 pm It was not Mi joo’s house but the boyfriends study room that the criminal broke into and set up the boyfriend. He needed his DNA. Studying a lot means nosebleeds. All student have them not just her. I must say how one hair could be found in a field of weeds two weeks after the crime seemed a bit off to me. Even if the criminal fisted recently. Needle in haystack.. it could have come from anywhere. And all the letting people pass, what officer could do anything in the middle of the night to the crime scene? Other wise the writing forensic team was awesome. And they were even suspicious of finding things later on that clearly were not there. Loved the way they cause the pervert on the bus.

What a shame about the study girl. First mistakenly accused and then murdered. And then the boyfriend.. glad they knew right away it was a set up.

The celebrity officer, fan club member.. also was a cool character in the second series.

Glad the other detective detective Ha went to school with stayed good.

I wanted more closurer. I have not seen season 3 and higher. Some of the filming was odd compared to season one. I’m hoping the bad detective was just pretending to be cooperative. How helpful can he be to the guy now wanted?

What is the dirt on the brother? Where are all the details of the parents murder? Clearly they were eliminated for helping or to take the blame for someone else? Is that the brother? Why would the “smart” kid know all about how the older brother professor knew Chief kim yet not be able to get Chief kim himself? So awesome the jail cell incident. Why did the noona have so many surgeries to change. Last episode was very suspenseful. Will the dad of the law firm ever recover? What happened to lawyer girl from last season?

H May 10 2018 10:41 pm I liked the new characters a lot, especially Da Hee (after seeing her on RM). I also liked how not every case is a serial murder case. Kyung Mi joining the police force was a great idea to include her more in the series. She's such an all-rounder. I love it! A lot of questions still remain, so I'm looking forward to season 3.

Sunday May 06 2018 11:54 am I finally finished this season yesterday. I think this season was fun, but there was something a bit off about it that didn't make it as good as the first season. The ending was rushed and I didn't like the odd direction they took with Inspector Woo's character whenever he was trying to solve something. However, I still love Ha Wan Seung and Yoo Seol Ok because they were perfectly portrayed in the same way as before. Both Kwon Sang Woo and Choi Kang Hee did wonderful jobs once again! Although this season wasn't as great as the first, I don't mind watching a season 3! ^^

Sandy May 06 2018 8:14 am I am a fan of QoM 1 and of course I have high expectation on QoM season 2. When it aired, I follow every episode until episode 13 and stop, I decided to delay the rest episodes til it finished. At first it's still fun to watch but the plot became boring and riddiculous.

When Mi Joo died, why police didn't secure Mi Joo's house and it ended being contaminated by the culprit's helper. And WHY Shi-Hwan wanted to take a revenge of her death and wanted to kill the culprit but he run away to save his life when he had chance to meet the culprit's helper??? There's more reasons why I decided to skip-skip the 'funny' scenes.

Sorry but, it doesn't meet my expectation. Maybe it would be different if it aired in TVN.

frodo Apr 27 2018 7:19 pm It can't get any worse than this 15 episodes playing around then Boom everything solved in one episode, the silliest most broken completely illogical story-line. I watched this drama like:" pass...pass..pass" in the end only 10 minutes or less are worth watching in every episode.

One of the endless crazy things is that wherever YSO goes there happens a crime not the other way around mind you.. is she some kind of crime generator or something ? can it get any more childish.

A side dishes business makes a lot more money than police jobs so why did kyung-mi enlist in the police when she had no interest in it.

Another one when HWS goes to Kim chiljang HQ and a whole spying hardware and a team of hackers and it's ok a few days he was a realtor though... can't laugh enough on the absurdity of this drama.

And finally the last episode.. how should I call it..people dying all over the place evidences concluded in seconds ..then what : Hi audience we are glad to announce to you there is going to be a 3rd season of this ..show thingy so stay tuned.., they should call it no longer "Queen of mystery" but "Queen of something else" because the show was supposed to be about the talent of normal woman at solving crime cases while pursuing the truth about her parent's murder.. but this is no longer the case.

is someone pulling the strings in KBS other than the director and writer ? because I can't believe that the director who made "Good Manger" have made this thing of a show.

keshia Apr 22 2018 1:01 am Season 2 was not as great as Season 1, some episodes were strange, as if the editors rushed to finish their jobs. I don't understand why Miju and Sihwan must be the collateral damage of some pervert student (but I'm glad he's dead, that crazy bastard). It's also sad that Kyungmi and Capt. Bae cannot continue their romance in this season. However, I'm still a huge fan of the drama. I'm glad they choose Kim Minsang to play the genius forensic role. He was a perfect sociopath in "Tunnel" and he played this role flawlessly. The drama also had no comparison out there, and it makes me happy. I wish if there will be a season 3, the writer will keep the cast (including Min Sungwook and Dong Ha, obviously) and the editors could do better job with cutting the scenes. They rushing the writer for season 2 ( I was happy that they make season to less than a year but we do need quality), that make the cases are boring and they didn't show the true level of profiling from seul ok and woo sung ha.

The writer does give more romances, but it was really awkward, season 1 was better in this way, just a hint of their own romances but makes us (watcher) wants more and more.

The last thing and that really unfortunate was the Yoo Seol-Ok style changes. In season 1 she brought up a really unique but nice style, that only she can wear and still looks cute and adorable, in this season she uses just average clothes style, that everyone using every day (not so remarkable).

Sunglasses Apr 13 2018 7:48 pm Season 1 has better and realistic pllot, better character development and more realistic character. The case were not that heavy but still interesting and unpredicted. I love how detail it was.

This season has darker plot and heavy case, even they kill a character from yoo seol ok's circle. but i found it boring and too easy to predicted. Some character feels artificial. I know they are good actors, i watched most of them in many dramas before. I don't know why for me it feels like everybody act obviously and unnatural. I expect more from profiler woo and yoo seol ok, i want to see them profiling like an expert again.

IMO Looks like wan seung more curious about what happened and why Hyun soo left him for seventeen years, he should know the reason so he knows where he should give his feelings (YSO or hyun soo) because at the end of the season one dad wan seung said that seo hyun soo is not a good person ..

And I think YSO and HWS they match also for dating, they dating like Tom and jerry and I think it's very sweet Because they are unique :)

p.o Apr 11 2018 11:14 pm I saw a comment somewhere talking about the lack of depth and compass in this second season, I was watching this show to pass time so I never really paid attention to this, but later I found out this person had a point. Still, this drama it's reeeeaally entertaining. Every episode made me laugh. Also, the show have quite good characters, their traits, plus great actors can make you love every single one of them, and not every kdrama can pull this off. Summing up, second season could be better plotwise speaking but it has been great for me, I didn't even expected we would get a second season, so Kamsamnida. I hope we could get another one! Plz, come with season 3.

wow Apr 11 2018 10:39 pm I loved season 1 and I think they also did a great job with season 2. Its really rare to have a second season in kdramaland sooo I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I love the chemistry between the leaders, and the characters relashionship it wasn't rushed at all like someone said here. The storyline it's great and not focused in romance. They made me fall for every new character added and even more for the ones from season 1. I'm still watching season 2, ep.13, but can't wait for another season. Plzzz, plzzz give us season 3.

If they want to keep going for season 3 then why dont they clear this up and create something new. Frustrated and bored of that one aspect dragging on. Really!!

The first Mystery Queen and Mystery Queen 2 have excellent casts, and we look forward to each episode as they come in. The dialogue and interaction of the male and female leads and the cast are brilliant. Detective fiction, mystery, comedy, thriller and finally the "who is the culprit" , well played and so natural. Hope the producers go for Mystery Queen 3. Congratulations to everyone !

The realization of their love for one another is superb and I hope they will end up marrying and forming a beautiful family with children, which is why the ending of the first season was somehow unfulfilling for me. But I mainly enjoy this drama for it is about goodness, truth and justice. I congratulate its author (and writers) and I´m looking forward to watch the next episodes!!

The weird thing for me is I don't know why Dong Gi doesn't come back like the others. I maybe missed something.

hara Mar 08 2018 1:37 am 1st of all, the 1st season was aired in 2017. they did gave us clues that wan seung cares care seol ok a lot. there were a lot of flirty scenes as well, but not as obvious bc she was still someone else's wife. now that she divorced and spent a lot of time with wan seung, it's normal for them to flirt more with e/o. and don't forget hyun soo is coming back as well! it will take some time until they make WS and SO end up tgt. it's too fast to judge they're forcing the ship when the story line kinda make sense to me. the only weird thing is kyung mi going to police academy, but who knows she might had her own reason that will be explained later. this drama is balanced enough imo, considering how kdramas r mostly abt romance, im glad they still manage to give the thriller that i expected. let's give this one a chance, i believe they won't disappoint us ;)

Why they needed to push so hard having a romantic scene between the two leading role?? The best was in the previous season, that they don't have any feelings of love, they were only friends, and that's why the dialoges was so great between them. Why they made Seol-Ok to a pretty woman? Her charme was being not so nice woman. And Kyung-Mi goes to Police Academy?? Why? She never wanted to solve cases! I don't get it. The very thing is missing in this season, what made so great the first season. I am so dissaponted.

Generally i don't like romance when is in not needed (i've stop watching dramams because they forced romance in it), but in this case i'd really like to see a little bit of it, even if is not primary for the plot, because they are cute together, and i like mature romance. I like mostly their chemistry, more than a blantant declaretion of love, i'd like to see a slow but costant approach, 'till they are so used to eachother, that they can only keep staying together (dreaming mode on)... The mystery aspect mast be the prominent element, of course.

I thought the script writer do a good job to cut off romance aspect in season 1 so we can foccus on the case flow & not distracted with their personal matter. Every time they have a dialog we are not get boring because they only talk about the case. I am so excited to watch how the case closed down, what seol ok have in her mind, what methode use to clear out the case. Detective ha give a big impact with his personality. He is not a man who can easily got surrender under woman feet. He has pride & brag a lot. The script writer do a good job build up their personality. This drama deserve to get an awards. Stress reliever & warming up my brain too. GOOD JOB**
