Yoo Seol-Ok liked mystery novels and wanted to become a detective, but she gave up her dream after marrying. Now, she is a housewife with a husband who works as a prosecutor. She meets Ha Wan-Seung. He is a passionate detective and they decide to collaborate to solve cases.

Overall, pretty decemt characterizations --- exactly what one would expect from the interaction between her character and a police detective!

Enjoyable!

Alexey May 04 2020 5:03 pm Pretty good kdrama. Has a lot of original things, but as previously said, plot sometimes dragging and weird. Characters are sometimes stupid. But overall, was pretty interesting, although a bit balance lacking (violence sometimes got mixed with silly jokes, but if you wont take it serious its okay). The last 3 episodes were pretty good, but 16th is a bit forced. I'd give this drama 6.5/10.

Vei Mar 31 2020 7:27 am Ok.. So Im on 14th ep, and idk must i keep on watching it or not. For me this drama is under my expectation. I know that there is another season of it, but i think its lack of tension and this one is just average drama. Sometimes its funny, but not that interesting, especially the case i think its too light. What a shame.. Kwon sang woo should be starred on better and heavier drama. And sorry to say, but i dont like the female lead. She's weird, like her hairstyle, and her fashion style is weird. Maybe someone like jang nara, han jimin, or song jihyo would be better. Lol sorry

Roman Dec 15 2017 7:54 am I am a fan of Kwon Sang Woo and after a very long time I got to see him perform in such a great drama, there's no doubt that this is one of his best works so far, totally looking forward to the 2nd season. I never saw any of Choi Gang-Hee's movies/dramas before, but after watching Queen of Mystery a.k.a. Mystery Queen, I feel like I should checkout her other works too, she did incredible job at playing the character (Yoo Seol-Ok) of a homemaker who has a knack for solving mysteries. If you like good acting and suspense, just go for it, you won't be disappointed.

Emily eye Jul 17 2017 11:28 am I love this series but I have to admit, it really bothers me when the mc mixes up her home life with helping the police. She should either commit to one or the other or else it's just being unprofessional and bothering them ex/ when she was interrogating and she chose to pick up the call. I don't know if her character will change throughout the series however because I haven't finished it yet but I hope she does. And I really can't believe she gave up college to get married, how sexist. And I don't understand why the mother in law would get mad at her if she tried to pursue an education...

Patho- Jul 10 2017 12:09 am This drama is good if you'll go the extra mile to suspend your disbeliefs because the plotholes are everywhere. In the first ep, why did Detective Ha asked Officer Hong where Seol Ok's house is when just the night before, he drove her home after she gave her address? One of the many inconsistencies, really. For me, the only consistent and the best thing in this drama is Seol Ok and Gyu Mi's friendship. That's a goal right there.

mylene Jun 26 2017 9:13 pm this drama excite me from start to finish, some may not liked the ending but as for me the ending is great? why? because it makes me want for more. they may or may not make a season 2, but still i am satisfied with story. i like this drama very much, same with the drama Whisper with the same thriller genre. I hope there will be season 2, if none, no problem, i will feel jst the same. the reception of this drma always vary depending on the preference of each viewer. Some may not like the ending but some including me will just love the ending of the story, it kept me hanging and wanted for more. i recommend this drama to those are fond of thriller and detective story with a little blend of romance. I love the interaction between the lead. Romance may not be the center of the story but you be hooked up by how clever and smart the lead female got. Just give this a try youll not regret it.

But what disappointed me was the last episode. I wish they took the time to tell us viewers why Seol Ok is living separated, and how the gang got together for the big mission. I feel like the finale was wrapped up too hurriedly when you-know-who suddenly shows up before the mysterious Mr Kim. A second season would be amazing because I'd love to see Seol Ok and Wan Seung having more chemistry~~~<3

I hated to see it end but I'm hoping they will have a series or at least Part Two. It's not often a show is this good and only has 16 episodes. It could have lasted till 40 at least! Please bring it back...I totally recommend this for mystery lovers!!!!

Renee May 26 2017 12:13 pm This was an epic drama. The characters were well defined and writers gave an original script. The climax at each episode's ending left you riveted towards the next sequel. It is unfortunate that it did not have at least 24 episodes or will be a second season. I personally feel this is one of South Korea's best police shows that has been produced in the last several years. Many reasons why an American viewer liked this show is because it made the women lead strong willed,capable and of equal intelligence to it's male counterpart. (In which most female leads are docile and simpleton's in Korea dramas) Secondly, the female lead was engaging and was perhaps her chacter was the most vital in this drama.

Gidget May 25 2017 2:08 pm I've loved this show. It's been a throw back to the great classic "Murder She Wrote". We grew to love the interactions of the present day characters and their quick solutions to the mysteries. And its good balance between darkness and light. However, recently the storyline shifted away from the cast that we know and love. It's become bogged down in an overly dark backstory that the audience has been given no reason to care about (the ex-girlfriend...is she alive or isn't she?) and (the parents...why did they die?) and (the father...why is he corrupt?) Maybe that's why the ratings have started to suffer.

chopinetude May 25 2017 1:20 pm well I think the story is not boring at all.I don't understand why this drama's rating is not that high compare to other dramas.The story is fresh,really funny,thrilling,touching and unique.I really love every characters of this story.It never disappoints me.the cases is outstanding.but the ending is still a major cliffhanger.I hope they will release season 2 soon.but this drama is so special in its own way.I don't know how to explain it.and the actors and actresses did a really good job! I like the female lead because she is not the typical korean actress you would find.definetly one of my favorite drama! shout out to the writer.

I've been a fan of Kwon Sang Woo since Stairway to Heaven was aired/shown here in the Philippines. And I've been a follower of Choi Gang Hee after watching her in Protect the Boss.

I hope that the drama's ranking on the remaining episodes would go up again.

Mename May 20 2017 4:07 am This drama is entertaining, really glad that I can watch this kind of genre and the timing of airing this drama is perfect when you feel boring with all the stereotype romantic drama all around. I enjoy radiant office too. I'm a fan of Kwon Sang woo and I think this kind drama suit him best, as a family man. The dialogue and body language are enough to show that love is on air between ha seong wan and ahjumma. Watch epsiode 14.

not a love story but an action comedy series May 12 2017 1:12 am to any one who want a romantic-loveydovey story..so sorry..this is not what u expect from this drama...its still airing and i dont know what will happen next episode..so far until ep12(which is the latest for today) no any romantic scene yet...but i think it may have before final episode or on final episode....so if u want to watch romantic drama...this is not the right choice....i like this drama bcs i like to watch this kind of genre and yes...i like psychology..

Nicey May 11 2017 6:56 pm @Mikyu, I did not stop watching because of the Female lead, I stopped because I am hoping for a love line between the leads. Only few episodes are left still none and I am disappointed because leads got chemistry. Maybe this is not my cup of tea. But drama is good.

And as i know choi kang hee more more better than any artist that selected as main lead just because they are pretty or famous.. choi kang hee deserve to get more attention coz i think she always select not usual role in her drama.. that's why i think she is one of the best artist in korean drama like gong hyo jin and others..

Really enjoy every episode in this drama.. hwaiting all cast!

Minna Apr 27 2017 12:05 pm I very much like this drama. Actually I am not very fond of crime-related dramas as I barely can stand watching crime scenes and such. But this one is an exception .

in this drama, the chemistry between the leads is pleasantly good and hopefully I will see they sort of end up together. As it seems Seol-Ok's prosecutor husband is a jerk! and most likely has not registered their marriage to the city hall!

But I decided to watch this drama because of the plot and I didn't regret it. I do like her in this drama and although she is nosy, it isn't annoying at all lol.

I know the main point of this drama is to potray her as housewife detective but there are too much unnecesary fight between her and the police. I mean, half of the drama is showing her and lead actor fight or lead actor and 2nd lead fight. This drama is good for those who love light mistery drama. Unfortunately, I prefer drama which focus more on the case. This drama is not my cake.

This drama isn't for those from a liberal culture. the mother in law character is a classic. the sctress does a good job of not making it too boring as well.
