Cheon Jae-In is a detective and he is extremely smart. He is guided by only facts, logic and numbers. Kim Dan is a detective. She possesses a supernatural ability to see the moments when victims die. They are totally different in personality, but they work together to uncover a conspiracy involving a powerful organization.

Notes

"Children of The Lesser God" takes over OCN's Sat. & Sun. 22:20 time slot previously occupied by "Bad Guys: Vile City" and followed by "Mistress" on April 28, 2018.
First script reading took place December 17, 2017 at CJ E&M in Sangam-dong, Seoul, South Korea.
Jo Min-Gi was initially cast to play supporting character Kook Han-Joo (a presidential candidate for an opposition party), but he dropped out of the drama series on February 21, 2018. The actor has been accused of sexual harassment & sexual assault by students he taught as an associate professor at Cheongju University. All scenes with the actor have been removed from the drama series.

Ciepao May 04 2022 10:20 am So far, this is the 1st OCN thriller drama that I found boring. To be honest I am dissapointed on this drama, I've known this drama for so long, but I only had the time to watch this recently, and in my opinion it is not that good. I have a high expectation in this drama since the title and the poster looks cool and I know that OCN doesn't dissapoint when it comes to crime/thriller/mystery dramas. But yeah, I was wrong.

The acting of the main leads are weak, they don't have a strong impact and a chemistry. I wasn't even hooked up on the story from the 1st episode. I think the story is nice, but I find it lacking and dull. Really sad that it didn't met my expectations.

I'll just give it a 4/10. You can watch it if you want too, but I believe there's a lot of OCN thriller dramas that are better than this.

What i like the most about this drama is the female lead character, such a calm person compare to other typical korean female lead in drama. I like how mature the character is not such a dimwit they always potray in the drama

The first few episodes of this series were just too good so I was really hoping to see a nail biting or glamorously sad ending....but,alas!,the last few episodes were disappointmenting and especially,the very last episode....too many things were happening and the episode looked very crammed,chaotic,rushed and ultimately dissatisfying. The story was based on the premise that the main female lead was supernaturally gifted and could predict deaths and tragedies beforehand and yet seemed to remain unaware of the fact that Popeye was alive and well for two whole years which logically made no sense to me. Also, even though Popeye had committed crimes due to his sad and abused childhood and under coerced circumstances, his crimes should never have gone completely unpunished which kind of didn’t sit well with me. In fact,how on earth did Kang Ji Hwan forgive Popeye when he was hellbent on punishing all those who conspired to get his sisters murdered when Popeye clearly was an accomplice to the crime. The plot too seemed heavily borrowed from two different korean dramas,save me and the lookout. The best thing,however, about this drama was the cast....the two main leads were just too good....the chemistry between them was a treat to watch...nothing very romantic yet it was very adorable to see them together....the comedy was also quite likeable,too....Kang ji Hwan’s comical timing was impeccable which made me want to watch the drama all the more....he was effortlessly funny and yet exuded ample manly charisma.....so,all in all,an overall enjoyable drama but the ending could have been better.

Una Jun 01 2018 9:04 am wow. this series needs to be gifted with better subtitles. its so good. the writing, the acting, the sets, the music. all so well done. even with the horrible subtitling out there, as of now, I was completely engrossed.

the partnership is stellar. yes, they spar in the beginning as they get to know one another, but once they work together they do so as equals - eac smart and capable of holding their own - and with great respect. what a great offering for a female lead role.

But I found a treasure - 보바이 Shim Hee Seop! and my eyes are blessed. The fiction can be unconvincing at times, but the acting makes up the weak storyline. Lead cast and supporting cast did a good job in the drama ? It' s a Save Me / CSI / Bring it on Ghost combo ?

Recommended if you want a filler during weekend ?

But her acting in this series is really bad in my opinion anyway. I really can't feel any of the emotions she is showing it just seems fake to me.

reign Apr 23 2018 5:35 am yes. this is like 'Save Me' because of the cult and people being brainwashed for the sake of money. yet they add much more interesting events. since the trailer of this drama came out, I already wait for it to be aired. and although I have to wait for weeks for a subbed version to be released, it's worth the wait. every ep is worth it. the cases, characters and mysteries behind were much more interesting than 'Save Me'. I'm already giving it a 10/10 despite the fact that subbed versions of ep 15-16 were yet to be released.

MINE Apr 01 2018 3:37 am This has elements that I like in a drama genre, supernatural ability, chase, thriller, crime, but why do I don't feel the suspense and feel so bored to watch more. Maybe they don't build the characters quite well so I fail to sympathize. Honestly, Kang Ji Hwan and Kim Ok Bin are good actors, but Jae In's sadness for the loss of his sister, I couldn't feel it. Why Kim Dan is having the supernatural ability in the first place, we don't know it either. Will it be explained, will it matter, I don't really know. Han San Goo as a childhood friend of Kim Dan, why he started killing, why he knows Kim Dan is Byul, when she doesn't even know herself (memory loss, changed identity), why such killings happened in the church back then, too many mystery are thrown but it's getting no where, it's not solved one and one to uncover the next mystery so it seems crowded and a mess. This is similar with Save Me series which was aired on OCN and developed by Studio Dragon also. I guess they like this kind of plot development, but it's not for me.
