On February 21, 2018, Jo Min-Gi officially dropped out of OCN drama series "Children of A Lesser God" due to sexual harassment & sexual assault claims. The claims were made by current and past female students at Cheongju University where Jo Min-Gi taught as an associate professor. The police announced on February 21, 2018 that they were investigating the accusations.
Jo Min-Gi took his own life on March 9, 2018. He was found dead by his wife around 4PM in a storage area of their apartment building's underground parking lot.

Taejo of Goryeo (31 January 877 Songak, Unified Silla – 4 July 943 (aged 66) Gaegyeong, Kingdom of Goryeo), also known as Taejo Wang Geon, was the founder of the Goryeo dynasty, which ruled Korea from the 10th to the 14th century. Taejo ruled from 25 July 918 to 4 July 943, achieving unification of the Later Three Kingdoms in 936.

Wang Geon was born in 877 to a powerful maritime merchant family based in Songak (modern Kaesong) as the eldest son of Wang Ryung. He traced his ancestry to a noble Goguryeo clan. His ancestors were Goguryeo refugees who settled around Songak, accumulating great wealth through maritime trade and gaining control of the region, including the Ryesong River. During the Later Silla period, the northern regions, including Songak, were the strongholds of Goguryeo refugees, and Wang Geon’s hometown of Songak would become the original capital of Later Goguryeo in 901.

Daeena Jun 18 2018 7:57 pm I already watched Scarlet heart ryeo, and isn't he played as King Taejo? Because it's stated there King Wanggun. I'm just asking, please correct me if i am wrong.

Though sometimes the comedic and romantic value of the story drags later on as it does in most shows as writers must to grapple with executing a plot that makes sense and is still as interesting as possible, the flame still flickers between the two characters though it has become fragile and must be worked around carefully as dense, factual and more sober atmosphere comes through in hopes of a dramatic plot climax. This is an example of a final pairing (or so I hope) that succeeded the initial introduction of potential romantic leads (iu and haneul)- though that was fun too. Jun ki looks more attractive here than any of his previous similar enterprises. Iu is charming, strong, coy, and human enough that I can easily want to live vicariously through her character. As a straight girl I am glad to recognize her charms. However, the same failings apply here as they do when buffy from buffy the vampire slayer went into a "depressive slump"- writers tend to lean on the plot twist of a Medical "depression" which unfortunately makes the story boring believe it or not and lazy. There are ways to depict a state of suffering that don't include us watching characters slump throughout entire episodes for the sake of 'plot device'. There are ways to keep the incessant vividness of reality and expressive complexity alive even through a " medical depression" and that is called fiction, fairy tales, magic, beautiful visuals, heroism, antiheroism, whatever it is please utilize it before this series sours after episode 13.
