Plot
An owner of a mill house in a street market of a small city, the mother of eldest son, Tae-jun, Tae-su and youngest daughter Sun-hee, lives a dogged life, filling her husband’s shoes at the same time. A top university student, Tae-jun is his mother’s hope and support, however youngest Tae-su has just been released from military school.
Due to an accident that resulted in his father’s death, Tae-jun’s family and his girlfriend Mi-ja had to run away to Seoul. Tae-jun’s girlfriend, Mi-ja, spends a hard life in Seoul working at a restaurant, and gets spotted by TV director to live out her life as an actress. Tae-jun, who meets with Mi-ja once again, promises to spend a future with her.
However, due to Tae-jun’s mother’s refusal, Mi-ja gets married to the TV director, Mr. Kim, instead. Tae-su starts to fall in love with orchard house daughter, Eun-hwan, but finds out that he has a child through Jung-ja whom he lived with together for a short while several years ago, and begins a rather sad marriage life. After, Tae-jun’s family returns to a stable life in a few years. Tae-su, who gives up Civil Service Examination, gets a job at a first rate company to rise up in ranks, then gets to meet Mi-ja who got separated from the TV director…
