A man named Tae-San (Lee Joon-Gi) lives his life meaninglessly. He is falsely accused of murder. The man learns that he has a young daughter stricken with leukemia. For the next two weeks, he struggles to save his daughter.

8 years ago, Tae-San and In-Hye (Park Ha-Sun) were involved in a romantic relationship. At the time, Tae-San was a member of a crime gang and worked for crime boss Moon Il-Seok (Jo Min-Gi). One day, Moon Il-Seok ordered Tae-San to take the wrap for a murder charge that Moon Il-Seok committed. If Tae-San refuses, Moon Il-Seok threatens to kill his girlfriend In-Hye, who is pregnant at the time. Tae-San agrees to take the fall and goes to prison, but first he takes In-Hye to an abortion clinic. In-Hye has no idea why Tae-San changed.

Now, Tae-San is still a gang member and works under Moon Il-Seok, but he's looked down upon by the other guys. Tae-San also works at a pawn shop run by his gang. One day, Tae-San is about to hit another guy there, but stops when he sees a woman through the window. The woman is his ex-girlfriend In-Hye.

They sit together in a coffee shop. In-Hye then asks Tae-San to take a blood test. Tae-Sun is confused by her request, but learns that she has an 8-year-old daughter named Soo-Jin (Lee Chae-Mi). Her daughter also has leukemia and desperately needs a bone-marrow transplant. Tae-San also realizes that when he took In-Hye to the abortion clinic 8 years ago, she did not go through with the abortion and that Soo-Jin is his daughter. In-Hye lets Tae-San know that she has no interest in restarting a relationship with him and that her fiancé Seung-Woo (Ryu Soo-Young) is a detective.

After going to the hospital for the blood test, Tae-San learns that his bone-marrow is a match and he can go ahead with the transplant operation in 2 weeks. But, Tae-San goes to see someone and when he wakes up he is arrested by two detectives for her murder.

The 2nd lead guy the detective fiance, I think he wears the same style of tops all the time. You know revealing of muscles each time lolz. Like his always in a gym haha. Over all its a 9.

Lee Joon Gi just got more phenomenal and Lee Chae Min(Soo Jin) just got cuter in my eyes. Even rooted for Kim Seo Hyun the prosecutor. I really do not understand how the ratings of such a flawless and touching kdrama could be so low.... Korean audience what are you doing?! Three hearts for Joon Gi, Chae Min and Seo Hyun ❤❤❤

ad May 29 2020 1:59 pm Awesome hidden gem. All episodes are great to watch and writers did a great job not dragging the series. Very simple story line, yet thrilling and entertaining. There were a few too many stupid characters including the leads but that's what made the whole story more entertaining. 97/100. This will be on my top 5 series to recommend to people if you like exciting, suspenseful and not so lovey dovey series... Other ones on my list are Defendant, Whisper, and Remember

It made me crazily happy to see dad and daughter reunite, even more than to see a male lead and female lead come to each other in other dramas. This drama does not have a lot romance but it's so full of love! Both Joon Gi and Lee Chae Mi did a great job! Love it very much!!!

Lee Joon Gi is fantastic lead actor here, and the little girl, wow. They worked very well in father/daughter dynamic. I liked how things played out, pretty satisfying in my opinion. A lot happens in these "two weeks" but the writing allows for some rational resolutions. I just loved this.

more pls Jan 19 2017 10:05 am i just finished watching "naked fireman" and it reminded me of this drama. they were similar in terms of the hero being framed and becoming a fugitive bcoz even the cops were corrupt. I watched two weeks long ago and it is really amazing. i can never forget how smart junki's character was in running away and survivng. I was wondering if there's more drama with framed fugitive themes. "Naked Fireman" got me intrigued for more! I'd recommend it and its only 4 eps!

Just finished the 1st episode. WOW! I don't want to continue with the show as I know a lot of heartbreak lies ahead but I know when the final episode is done it would have been worth all the tears that I would have surely cried. It's a catch 22. I'm filled with dread and excitement.

korean Dramas are the best discovery I've ever made. I have no idea how I survived without them before. I'm convinced I was meant to be Korean. :-)

simmi Oct 13 2016 3:14 pm Ok!...i am not a fan of action/thriller genre,still my love for joon gi is far more greater then my inhibition!...so i gave this series a chance,and to my amazement it came out to be a very good drama worth of JOON GI's acting and entertaining abilities....In a way it is also a story of love,hope and SURVIVAL!!...only told and framed under action thriller format!!....the character of JANG TEA SAN and his eventual progression in the entire series is just brilliant and the highlight of this drama!!.... as it reminds me of a famous quote i read somewhere which is completely relatable here...'FEAR IS THE WISDOM ON THE FACE OF DANGER,IT IS NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF'....still u got to watch the series if u wanna understand more....besides ...that DOLL thing which he kept all along his renegade/survival path is very touching as how did he seeked strength from an inanimate object...it was just like the that 'football companion'...of Tom Hanks character in 'CAST AWAY'....(which earned him Academy award...phenomenal role)!!....Again this drama is very refreshing for Joon gi's fan as its very rare to see him in modern/contemporary drama...:)....and that child artist is just equally brilliant!! delivering such flawless performance!!....i just felt itz a lil short on romance part...and that chase could be lil cut down....wow!!...otherwise for such a drama and my LEE JOON GI....love from INDIA.

It's one of the best dramas I've ever watched, that's for sure. If you like fast-paced dramas, full of action and a good plot, you'll enjoy this one for sure.

But this drama seem bring my emotion back. i cried and smiled again, and could be thrilled by logic in movie. THIS DRAMA IS VERY VERY EXCELLENT. Lee jun ki always give the best in every dram he join, he act with passion, this is why i love him so much. My emotion rise up everytime i watched he act, the way he act on his face. ace Jan 08 2015 2:46 pm While not perfect, this was a really well-made drama. Cinematography was a cut above what I expected. As was the script. The word craft used was very engaging at times. The dialogue carrying the conversation with a natural flow rather than clumsy exposition. The plot was actually nothing overly special but it was engaging and I never got bored. I even liked the ending, which is rare for me in Korean dramas. I recommend it.

Francisco Dec 20 2014 12:19 am Pretty good... It definitely lived up to it's expectations.... You know how Korean dramas are... There are always the villains and the protagonists and they are constantly plotting against each other. The good scenes are when the protagonist is able to read into the enemy's attack and make it backfire on them, and the bad scenes are when the villain are able to succeed in their plotting. That's the basics of a Korean drama. I don't like watching a Korean drama where the villain is able to succeed with their plotting 90% of the episodes, and the good innocent character are always failing. It just makes you angry and it makes the drama unwatcheable. This drama was successful in balancing out the villain's success vs the protagonist's. Watch it.

100% Oct 26 2014 5:06 pm i wonder why this drama dont have high ratings. is it because its about father-daughter story and not about romance or because its an action drama ? i hv a habit on skipping a lot of parts in all dramas ive watched but two weeks storyline is so good i didnt even felt like skipping any parts since i dont wanna miss anything. and the actors really did a splendid job. even city hunter or iris or even BOF cant make me keep watching till the end. i never bother giving ratings but i give 100% for this one.

We cried when we watched this with my sister. The love of Tae San to his daughter touched our hearts. His agonies just to survive, just to live for his daughters' surgery, so touching. I love the story between a father & a smart daughter. I love the casts esp. Lee Joon-gi. He's one of my fave actor. This drama is worth to watch. I highly recommend it.

This drama is way beyond awesome! if you're looking into thriller, action, character development and and a little tinge of father-daughter cuteness THIS IS THE DRAMA FOR YOU :). This drama is the rare drama that was well-written till the end! Plot wise it's pretty much the same fugitive story but what touches you most is the little girl and that mature brain of hers. And how Jang Tae San grows from a worthless man to a hero in 14 days. The ending was amazing and REALISTIC. and it was directed fantastically. All the characters played were amazing as well. From acting, directing, scripts to OSTs it was well done. Do watch, you won't regret~ Lee joon ki really put his heart and soul in this one.

I am officially strictly sticking to dramas of this genre. I fall victim to boring, cheesy, and repetitive romantic comedies and usually have to give up halfway. It's fast paced, no fillers, easy to understand, exciting, and the writer packed alot of material in this script so you never feel the story line is going in circles or dragging in order to fill up time. If you need a new drama to watch you are lucky cause this finished airing so you dont have to wait a week cause you WILL be hooked. Enjoy and thank you for this wonderful show.

kurage Sep 29 2013 8:55 pm I can't stress out more on how great this drama is!!! It made me on the edge all the time and wanting to watch the next episode immediately. I knew I would be like that since I love Lee Jun Ki (the King of Action in my opinion), so I purposely waited until it finished airing before I began to watch lol. Great plot and twists, great actors/actress (especially the kid... so cute), and of course great action scenes. I watched this drama with my mom and I had to stay awake with her watching this until 6:00am.

As for ratings, I wouldn't look at that to judge the drama since it has to compete with Master's Sun, which I am also a fan of. Moreover, the predecessor wasn't that famous and that impacted the ratings a little bit.

Lee Jun Ki is an amazing actor, and this may be his best performance ever. He and the little girl should win a Best Couple of the Year award for their incredible father/daughter chemistry. As fantastic as the suspense is, it is the character development of all the leads that makes this drama really special.

I thought at first two episode, oh it's that kind of drama then after that it was , oooh it's this kind of drama. Park ha sun(soe in hye) gives a cool feeling.

Every character sets in nicely, main character turn into hero, villain seems more evil beacause of how Kim hye ok gives such a hateful feeling, and it's all because of her acting skills. Every character matters in this drama, everyone has a special role and if one missing then I would have a reason say" it's a faulty drama, why did he/she do that, if someone else do it then it would make more sense" and so on... . If One character missing , my interest for this drama will be drop by 20-30%.

More episode you watch the better it gets. Not exaggerating. Just so you know I watch till 12 episode so far.

solar Sep 12 2013 4:37 am it seems if there are family issues like (1)mother abandoning the child, the child later grows up to meet the mother,(2) father alcoholic/gambler doesn't respect their children/children's decisions after mother dies children faces hardships, (3)stereotype romances,mother thinks her child is dead and marries the murderer of her husband then later gets to know it,these kind of story lines (in my view will sell well among the majority but not very refreshing) will do well among people who wants the main guy to get the main girl.If you check the comments for most korean drama's nowdays posted on the web ;majority of comments for these type of dramas will be on whether the main guy gets the main girl , will they get together at the end. The other aspect is in those dramas (you have the main lead being the good guy/girl suffers numerous hardships and achieves success) . In two weeks the plot is different from above as the main lead is not a very refined man who gets caught up in a murder who has lived his life up to that moment as a vagabond .(I.e in almost all of the above storylines the love between the main leads+ family break down takes centre stage while two weeks it is not the case).Those kind of plot/storylines will sell well among majority . for example (1) lee soon shi (2) my daughter seo young(3)may queen (the ratings are obviously have been abnormally high. Even in master's sun the (love line is pushed to the forefront. Mind you it is still great as it touches a different dimension of peoples lives) .

If the plot is very different and element of romance is little it is not acceptable to the groups who are used to that kind of dramas mentioned above. mind you ratings will suffer hugely. A classic example is "Empire of Gold" whoo! take a look at that drama steller cast a very unique type of story line.See how the ratings are not that good. In my opinion just like what is happening with two weeks ratings are not that high.Majority viewers of these dramas does not like a change of things comes in their way once in a while. They love to see the same old thing over and over again.

Well the bottom line of my comment is this just because the ratings are bad or main theme not the love among the main leads does not necessarily mean the drama is bad, so guys don't think about that, think only about the fact that how these great dramas have entertained you (i.e TWO WEEKS and empire of gold).

Charmedanewor Sep 10 2013 4:48 pm I got hooked up from the 1st and 2nd episode and 'til then I anticipated every episode. It has a great story line, well executed. Everybody were getting nervous in front of their screen seeing the protagonist living a miserable life as fugitive. Not only I admire the iris-heartless city like story, but let us give credit especially those actors/actress of the drama. First to mention is lee jun ki oppa. He showed his versatility in acting. There was no episode he doesn't shed tears and i find him more handsome there. Well, he has proven his acting skills as he won the award as most outstanding actor in this recently held Seoul International Broadcasting Awards 2013 (Arang and the Magistrate). I am looking forward that in this drama too. Secondly, prosecutor park, i like the way she lead and how he command her tea, and the acting was so natural. And thirdly, Park ha sun, it was my first time seeing her acting with a lot of crying scenes. I just recalled her in high kick 3 and she was so funny there. So, i agree with those comments i have read that this drama should be recognized. It has a very unique story. It's a nerve-wrecking series that you have to hold on tight as we also ride,watch and wait in the countdown of two weeks. I just hope it doesn't end with a twists that we might cry for as for someone will die (as you know korean drama ending) although, i have little expectation that someone might die at the end. We just have to watch to figure that out. For my closing remarks. This drama is really a well recommended to watch this year and you will love it. Saranghae jang tae san!

I felt bored of the ghost , the rich and poor , history , and why the ratings is down !!!! i'm really upset . lee junk ki and the other actors they try their best . I don't know what is the problem ??? Even the ost it's wonderful it's amazing . Ok, I wish all the best for this drama , don't care about the ratings , 2 weeks fighting

bunni3 Sep 05 2013 11:47 pm I am watching this drama side-by-side with it's rival The Master's Sun. Maybe it's because of LJG that I am more into this though the other one can really make me laugh. The genre are different, so it's really hard to compare, but this drama can touch you in so many ways that you can't ignore but follow your heart.

In this month, a lot of korean story about ghost and human (include Master sun also). But two week is different, two week is action and drama together include. The plot is so interested and all the actors show amazing acting skill (esp: Lee jun ki and kim so yeon). Two week is the best action/drama kdrama in 2013. But I think korean viewers are like more skinship/romance drama like Master sun. Two week Fighting.

Jessica Aug 29 2013 12:57 pm I'm korean and i have a korean family. can you not put our race together as one group and say that the entire korean audience doesnt like to watch this drama? honestly, no matter how interesting this drama is, it was geared toward korean viewers, so obviously there will be people in korea who like the drama, and people who don't. Maybe younger people watch it because of the actors & maybe the older ones watch it because of the storyline. Maybe people don't want to watch it because to them it's boring. Or they don't like action movies. Or maybe the storyline wasn't interesting to them as it is to you. the thing im just bothered about is that just because you're not korean that you think you can just group us as a whole and say that no one likes it. you're forgetting that korea is a country and has many people that have different interests. one drama can't please everyone.

You will know if you watched one of their dramas ^^ Even many idols and stars do like Master's Sun. So don't compare them bfore you watch Master's Sun

Although romance isnt the main plot here, I want to see more of JuniXHasun moments. I hope they end up together in this series...
