Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki Staff ©
"Five Fingers" is about young people who each have their own tragedies to overcome and achieve their dreams. A pianist (Ju Ji-Hoon) has extraordinary talent, but must overcome his family's tragic history.
Notes
- "Five Fingers" takes over the SBS Saturday & Sunday 22:00 time slot previously occupied by "Gentleman's Dignity" and followed by "Cheongdamdong Alice" in December, 2012.
- First script reading for "Five Fingers" took place July 3, 2012 at SBS Tanhyeon Production Studios in Tanhyeon-dong, Ilsan. Ju Ji-Hoon, Ji Chang-Wook, Ham Eun-Jung, & Chae Shi-Ra all attended.
- Ju Ji-Hoon lost 6kg to portray his character.
- Singer-actress Ham Eun-Jung from idol group "T-ara" was originally cast for the co-lead female character of Hong Da-Mi, but is no longer part of the series from August 21, 2012. A possible bullying scandal among the members of "T-ara" caused an uproar in South Korea and with two other members of "T-ara" (Hyomin in "The Thousandth Man" & So-Yeon in "Lovers of Haeundae" ) appearing in drama series that are receiving low ratings, an agreement was made to replace Ham Eun-Jung. Filming for the adult characters is scheduled to begin August 23, 2012. Actress Jin Se-Yun has accepted the offer to play the role vacated by Ham Eun-Jung.
- Actress Jin Se-Yun filmed her first scene at the Cultural Center in Bupyeong, Incheon on August 23, 2012. The scene involved Da-Mi (Jin Se-Yun) attending a concert with her brother Woo-Jin (Jung Eun-Woo). This scene will appear in ep.5 (air date September 1, 2012).
- Actress Jin Se-Yun took piano lessons for 6 years when she was younger and still plays the piano at her home. Jin Se-Yun also plays her own piano parts in the series. This is partially why she was cast for the role according to series director Choi Hyeong-Hun.[1]
