CB Jul 04 2017 3:50 pm I watched him in "Whisper" and "Voice" (both fantastic dramas, 1000% recommend) and he's really awesome! I don't think anybody can play gangsters better than him. But I hope he gets some goodguy roles too

LKB Jan 30 2017 9:22 am I just finished The Princess' Man and Kim Roe Ha was fantastic... so freaking sexy, too. The director (who won a Paeksang award for that show) REALLY focused in on getting great facial expressions from all the characters, particularly the EYES, whether tearing up (or a lot of actual crying), looking angry/vengeful, expressing undying love as his character does quite a lot, brotherhood/familial sorts of affection, and being the cute handsome uncle to the crazy-adorable tiny girl... he and Park Si Hoo are amazing together; they really had superb chemistry and played off each other fantastically (and wonderfully enough have done more than just that show together)! Anyway, he was a really great, loyal, rational, hard-working and generally superb fellow in that historic drama only to go and be one heck of a mean one in Jackpot/Daebak/Royal Gambler... In his case, you can make everything about him look evil and five seconds later you'll be melting if his facial expression and voice/tone are tender, and likewise, you can give him a gentle appearance and he can, with such great nuance, suddenly turn you against him... he just has that level of talent and focus when he acts. I'm officially a massive fan now. Before, he was a good part of good dramas (or a good part of not as great ones, his part never lacking), but wow, Princess' Man completely made me want to see him get lots of screen time. He reminds me, in a lot of ways, of Han Suk Hyu (title character in Romantic Doctor Kim)... both of them can fully flesh out superb characters (and can bring deadly-as-venom sexy smiles, the facial grooves of middle aged men that have worked hard and played hard, eyes that can pierce the middle aged ladies watching them :P) and this guy... man, I was excited to see him in Whisper, but he seems to be doing another minor role when I want more more more time with him showing his skills offr us (ideally as a suave handsome good guy-he is convincing as a gangster, but he's too handsome to goof up and make a mob boss in ill-fitting slightly tacky suits as Korean stylists seem to LOVE doing for gangster/loan shark sorts of roles, agh!).

GG Apr 17 2016 11:04 pm I'm almost positive that he plays the slave master "The Demon" in the new KDrama, "Jackpot/The Royal Gambler". I am finally getting to know the faces of some of my favorites but still have to look up their names every time I see them in a drama. However, I cannot find any site for this drama that has his name in the credits. Am I mistaking him for another actor? Asian wiki is my main information place for dramas or celebrities so hopefully anyone who knows the answer to this can help me. If so, thanks much from a great fan.

With that wardrobe,shifty eyes, thin lips and dishonest face definitely the player you love to hate. I'll be looking forward to future Bad Guy roles. Hee Hee
