N.K Sep 07 2019 2:53 am Yuya is the most underrated japanese actor ever. He is the youngest winner of the Best Actor award in the Cannes Film Festival at the age of 14 with his first film. He deserves more than this.

Pippa Jul 23 2015 8:08 pm The only really good performance I saw of him was in the movie 'Nobody Knows', when he was still counting as child actor and he could use his cuteness and big eyes, but when he grew older the weakness in his acting became clearer and his once expressive eyes turned into an overused glaring. He tends to overact, a lot. Especially bad was he in 'The Shock Labyrinth' and 'Crows Explode', not really good movies to begin with though. In 'Unforgiven' he was okay, but beside his rumpled look was not able to really contribute to the film, nor make his character interesting enough to care for him.

Aoi Hono FTW Jan 12 2015 9:14 pm I noticed he was in Crows EXPLODE but recently came across his recent work as his first lead in Aoi Hono and I was blow away by his performance. His acting was top notch, execution of the manga-based expressions and situations was right on the dot!. I'll be watching out for more of his works from now on and hope he gets many lead roles.
