During the Sengoku period, the Ii family governs the Totomi region. Due to many past wars, there are no more male successors left to become a lord. Naotora Ii (Kou Shibasaki), the only daughter of the lord, now becomes a lord. She faces a difficult period. The constant love from her fiance, whom she became engaged with at a young age, helps her to keep moving forward.

Mayanee May 29 2017 12:18 am At the moment there are many filler plots. Also some slight errors (Naochika caring about Naotora) however nothing like the bashing of Ina and Otani Yoshitsugu's daughter in Sanadamaru.

Sharon May 09 2017 11:14 pm I believe the first gift was from Imagawa pretending to be Tokugawa to see if they would accept it and side with Tokugawa. When the 2nd gift came and they said it was from Tokugawa then they thought, "what??? Uh oh!!" about the 1st gift, cuz they figured it was a trap, sent by Imagawa. Imagawa sent it to see if the Ii clan would flip and side with Tokugawa (Sana's husband).

SPOILER So sad Haruma Miura roll is going to end. Too bad they weren't able to be together. He did an awesome job on this show, love his smile.

Alohathoughts May 08 2017 11:11 am I do wish there were a synopsis and the names of the characters were published here fully under their photos. If any one knows the puzzle of the baby in the well, I'd love to get reminded of that. Also a map showing where the various families are would be helpful. Not all who are intrigued by the story and enjoying the movie are fully aware of the Japanese culture of the time. Another help would be to have explanations of some of those cultural things like the gift she is given and then another gift comes and somehow that is a warning...did not understand how that worked.

Brian Jan 28 2017 8:06 pm Looking forward to seeing this Taiga Drama. I enjoyed many of them, been a few so-so one's lately. This one should be interesting with the topic being a woman Diaymo. With Shibasaki Kou playing the lead, I know it's going to be good. I really enjoyed watching her in the Galileo and Dr. Koto drama's. Beside being a very attractive woman, the intensity she gives each of her character's brings them to life.
