Rachelle Jun 14 2022 4:11 am Song Seon-Mi - basically this woman steals the show in Crime Puzzle - Wow what a character and what a woman. The phenomenally bad psychopathic character is played probably in one of the best ways I can ever remember seeing. Not only does the actor come across as being mentally ill and totally off the handle but she also spins every character around until she finally unravels herself. There is absolutely no sign of fear in the characterisation nor lack of continuity. Either the director knows with perfection how to get the best out of the actor or the actor is just brilliant A+++. I constantly find female actors to be lacking in strength and was very pleased to see this woman convey a bad bad girl character with strength and absolute conviction to the point that she could make you feel you were looking at the devil. Utter brilliance.

gasenadi Jun 14 2014 5:11 am Before, my favorite Song Seon Mi role was the nurse in Golden Time. Then I enjoyed her role in Miss Korea. But the Crown Princess in Cruel Palace is a TOUR DE FORCE! I actually had to take a months-long break because I couldn't bear to watch what I knew was going to happen to her (according to history) and I had com to love and respect her character so much. Well, as I finish it, Song Seon Mi's exquisite portrayal just confirmed my expectations. My heart feels like it's breaking. Song Seon Mi (and the excellent writing and direction) has truly brought honor to the Princess' memory and legacy. Such a strong and intelligent wife, politician, mother, woman and HUMAN BEING caught tragically in precarious times. My heart bestows the BEST ACTRESS AWARD to Song Seon Mi.

And now that I've returned to finish, your acting confirmed it. I've seen Song Seon Mi in many, many dramas. My favorite before this was Golden Time. Also enjoyed your role in Miss Korea. But the Crown Princess was the TOUR DE FORCE. I have to recess, the sobs won't let me continue. Such a outstanding portrayal of a strong and intelligent wife, politician, wife, mother and just plain courageous person caught in precarious times. You are awarded Best Actress in my heart forever.

Btw Mar 17 2012 10:44 pm @Samuel. The Secret Lovers = A Man and A Woman . I know... Lots of dramas have multiple names, probably due to translation differences. Or something else? Please chime in if you know why this happens so often.
