Baek Ho-Rang (Jung Da-Bin) is a high school student. Due to her pretty appearance, she is popular on social media and at her school. Yet, Baek Ho-Rang only has one friend, due to her condescending personality. Baek Ho-Rang encounters a problem. She learns that someone is trying to unveil her secret. To find that anonymous person, Baek Ho-Rang joins her high school's broadcasting club. Go Eun-Taek (Minhyun) is the chief of the broadcasting club. He is a perfectionist and respected by the club members.

I love how Ho Rang has a brave character partner with Eun Taek who is a softy. The side story of Jae Yi and Woo Jae are unique too! I mean, not all of typical relationship have problems like these couple. It only has 8 episodes but you will be satisfied! The dialogue, storyline, and the plot! Kudos to the production and cast ?

Nighttime May 10 2021 9:28 am I get why this drama has very low rating. I don't watch this for any idols and I have to be objective. Some of the comments here are trying to make it overrated. The overall story is very weak and cliche. The male lead character is very one dimensional, no real negative traits except for daddy issues (if that counts). The female lead acting is okay but the male lead acting is very stiff and cringe (sometimes the female lead too). Heard the male lead is an idol with first time lead so yes another idol casted probably for looks and not skill, there are some idols who are interesting but this one is so boring he couldn't bring the role to be likeable. I can't get the chemistry as well. Not recommended except if you're looking for kiddy feel romance stories and mediocre acting.

Jen Jan 21 2021 5:23 am This drama is a little slow-paced. It's quite dreamy here and there with too many slow-motion scenes and it makes me wonder whether I am watching a drama or a commercial. But overall, it's quite good. The actors have delivered their roles well, especially the female lead. The male lead was cute with a lot of acting potential for 'cold city boy that hardly smiles or talks' kind of roles. The supporting cast were equally good, and the antogonist the best. She will go a long way with her acting skills.

If you have a lot of time on your hands and looking for a light-hearted, slow-paced and high quality drama, then go for it.

Kay Jan 05 2021 1:31 am This is a great drama to freshen up your mood. Let's talk about Hwang Minhyun! The fact that he is an idol makes me get me goosebumps because he can act. He starred in a theatre play before but this is the first time I'm seeing him on television. He has room to improve but considering that this is not his main job, he did pretty well and I commend that. Same as for Byungchan, he is also an idol but the way he acted in this drama resembles his personality in real life. Clingy and cute! As for Yeonwoo, I have never seen her again after leaving Momoland and I came to realize that she's Momoland Yeonwoo on episode 4! I love this drama because idols are part of the cast.

Nova Jan 04 2021 9:27 am I like this drama, I love the fact that it does not have any complicated love triangle plot, the bullying is not that severe but still quite impactful as to affect Horang's character, it shows that all kinds of bullying whether severe or light have effects on people physically or emotionally. Also, the twist on revealing the person behind all that was surprising since it is not the person you would even think of. It's quite sad that it only has 8 episodes.

kalila Jan 03 2021 3:04 am it was boring at first but i tried to continue and it was worth it. it's a pretty light drama indeed and not fitting for those who are looking for a serious drama with a more intense storyline, but it's great nonetheless. the 2 leads have great chemistry and i just can't help but smile looking at them together. it's a really sweet drama and also pretty realistic, so it's not overly made-up and dramatic. it has no satire aspect to it as far as i noticed. it's also pretty short with only 8 episodes, so there's nothing to regret if you watched it to the end.

Web Drama like Ateen and twenty twenty easily get 1M viewers in navertv in a week. Live on only gets half of it and its been 6 weeks. Its a pity for all the casts. Should be focusig as web drama.

Ji So Hyun really impressed me with her acting. Hope to see her more in the future.

Kim Dec 26 2020 4:32 am Honestly it's not that its bad but the drama also isn't very good. The first few episodes were messy and while it did get slightly better the plot is very draggy? Like the hints and stuff are all pointing to a troubled past for Horang but like. We get it. we know. There's no element of suspense and I'm honestly shocked this received the green light to air in a prime time slot on JTBC. This honestly should have been a web-drama like it's not even on A-Teen's level. Also the filter they have on this show is outrageous -- the colouring is really bad lol.

I think Jung Da-bin does a pretty good job as the main lead but the material is lacking. She portrays her character with charm and it's hard to hate her, but Ho-rang is just hard to root for sometimes. Minhyun's acting debut is... okay. I think, again, he doesn't have much to work with because Go Eun-taek is your typical straight-laced no-nonsense sunbae kind of character. A little blank, but honestly not offensively bad. The main lead have awkward chemistry because enemies to lovers is tricky to pull off. Chemistry is vital.

Love Kang Jae-yi as a character (breath of fresh air) and honestly Ji So-hyun is more interesting to me as the ex-best friend of Ho-rang.

I keep my standards pretty low for high school dramas but since it's a JTBC x Playlist drama I did expect something better. This is.. very average, not something that should have gotten a cable budget like this. However, the cinematography can be beautiful at times and the overall acting is decent so good work to crew and cast.

clingydaegun Dec 25 2020 7:51 pm I honestly thought this drama will be another cheesy and cliche high school romance drama, but it turns out to be really good! It has the typical side of Playlist drama, but even better. They discussed about school violence in a different way.

SPOILER ALERT! We mostly see gangster-like boys with a fucked up but rich and powerful father who beat up the loser of the class openly in most high school dramas. But here we will never expect that a bitchy girl like Horang was actually bullied before, where even her bestfriend didn't know because the abuser didn't do it openly.

They also didn't bully Horang physically, but the drama told us that it's still violence that will affect even a strong girl like Horang greatly. It also gives us a different perspective that someone may not reach out not only because they're scared of the abuser, but also because they're embarassed.

Woojaeyi's story is also interesting. It seems like a typical conflict between high school love birds, but it shows how two different people may get attracted to each other, complete each other, but on the other side that difference will also be the main neverending conflict between them.

I see that similar coflict will also rise between Horang and Euntaek on the upcoming episodes looking at the teaser, where Horang didn't want to show her weak side to the people around her, while Euntaek is the honest type who wants to rely on each other and wants to help. Horang end up pushing him and her other friends away. Euntaek who patiently wait for her to open up will get frustated too in the end.

I really hope Horang will open her self a little to her friends and family in the last 2 episodes ? It couldn't undo what happened and she can't make everyone likes her, but at least she can share her pain with the people who truly cares about her. It's a really important message for all the victims out there.

Sorry for the long comment but I also appreciate the writer for telling Sohyun's story who get talked about just because she has a different perspective of dating and interacting with boys. I have a friend like Sohyun and honestly, I can't understand her who seems to be flirting with many boys but don't even date any of them in the end. Watching Sohyun here slaps me in the face that I may be one of the people who judge her, while actually what she's doing is not wrong. She's just more comfortable talking with boys and she has all the right to not date anyone if she doesn't want to.

Yes, we get all these amazing lessons but we also get the typical cliche and cute moments~ I think it's worth to watch! Special shoutout to the cute Yushin who always bright up every scene ke ke.. I hope he has his side of the story too but I don't think it will happen since the drama is ending soon.

Anyway, can't wait for the last 2 episodes!!! I hope it will be good till the end ^^

Usually, they only upload on YouTube or V Live in the form of webdrama. So, you could say they just playing safe first. Also, it's normal that this drama has low rating because the vibes still more into webdrama and unfortunately, it is broadcast at curfews where parents usually control TV. Today's young people even prefer watching on the internet than on tv. But, I appreciate jtbc who dare to buy works from playlist, a popular platform for webdrama #cmiiw Anyway, love byungchan & victon ^^

Dec 15 2020 8:45 am The storyline is fine ig but for me I just don't like the FL, I thought the secend female lead would be the "mean" and b*tchy person but the FL is more like that, no offense, I know she has a trauma or whatever happened in the past but she just gets on my nerves sometimes... no hate to the cast tho cause actually came here for them?

So I really want to know what is her secret tht made her being like that. The chemistry of the actors are so good though and..some of Horang's classmate seems suspicious and I like that

Compared to true beauty, this is more mature, no awkward or cringe scenes and the chemistry between not just the leads but other characters is incredible. Too bad this has low ratings and isn't popular, but is such a great drama. 100% recommended

Fiscl Dec 10 2020 12:45 pm The story is more matured than other teen or even other mainstream drama. The bgm is pleasing to hear really amplifying the ambience. When scene 2 lead didn't talk, their eyes seems talk each other. Dabin acting and voice is so good.

Un modeste admirateur Dec 10 2020 11:39 am Usually, I don’t watch school dramas, because I’m too old for them, but this one is a definite masterpiece, and I find myself impatiently waiting for a new episode each week. Looking at the name of the director, it’s the one who did the exceptional drama ‘My Mister’. So now, I am less surprised how mature and how thoughtful ‘Live On’ feels, despite its young characters, to the point of outshining most of the adult dramas airing. What also sets ‘Live On’ apart is the incredible chemistry between Minhyun and Jung Da-Bin. Just the way these two look at each other often removes the need for dialogue.

Yeji Dec 04 2020 4:54 am The drama is so good and the cast looks like other actors. Euntaek looks like a mix of cha eunwoo, txt soobin and park seojoon. Jaeyi gives me krystal vibes, do woo jae is so handsome and kind of reminds me of lee jae wook. Horang looks a bit like twice jihyo.

It's been so long since last I watched this kind of high school drama. So I don't care about its mediocrity (like how others been saying) or anything at all. Instead it feels refreshing after all those series of mature, serious dramas (I love them though don't get me wrong). So if you feel like watching, please give it a try! So far episode 1 is good.
