4 years after the cellphone app Joalarm was created, people commonly use Joalarm version 2.0. The updated app has new functions to see 2 lists: one is for persons that like you and the other is for persons that you will like. Due to the new version of Joalarm, a small change happens between Jo-Jo (Kim So-Hyun) and Hye-Young (Jung Ga-Ram). Jo-Jo is on the list for people that will like you for Hye-Young's Joalarm. Hye-Young is happy about that. Sun-Oh (Song Kang) left Jo-Jo because his Joalarm didn’t ring when Jo-Jo was near him. He believed Jojo didn't like him, but he still can't wipe out the thought that Jo-Jo might still like him.

Awareness needs to be spread to everyone that no matter what challenges u face in life or go through they are "NOT" alone. Life is a learning experience it will break u only to make u stronger.

Always seek for help. You must have an open mind to watch this show because there is a message behind each episode.

That's why she activated the shield !!! Totally stupid script !!! Season 2 is just disappointing !!! I stopped watching it after episode 5 !!!!

Firstly, she never mentioned the exact reason why she broke up with sun ho and then, as the story progressed, she should have ended up with sun ho. I love Hye young too but just cos he’s a nice guy and loved her first didn’t mean they had to end up together. They really should have come up with a better twist. Sun ho was just heart broken for nothing. I really don’t get it. There really shouldn’t have been a second season if this would be the story. So disappointing and annoying

Jojo DOES still like sunoh and the love alarm proves it, but she just uses the spear so that the app says she likes Hyeyoung? Sunoh's heart was just broken in the end. I don't get why she just leaves Sunoh without giving any explanation to him whatsoever. their relationship was going fine until the crash accident. And i feel bad for Sunoh's girlfriend (Yukjo). she was just there and she loved Sunoh but he couldn't care less about her. after Sunoh was rejected by Jojo, he just runs back to her and for what. this season was just overall confusing and frustrating imo.

I felt like it had been 20 months and they needed to get a season out to keep watchers interested . but honestly season 2 felt like our main characters where living in a shell of themselves . did jojo really love hyeong or was he easier than explaining things to sun oh ? i understand jojo was going through things but her dragging two great guys into the middle of her problems was selfish and unfair . then to dump sun oh with no explanation is super duper wrong

Nana Nov 05 2021 1:10 am I chose Hye Young from the start because he is too sweet, so gentle, sincere, doesn't force to be loved too, always tries to understand Jojo.. that's what makes Jojo comfortable and slowly begins to love Hye Young too. I really like season 2, their love is so adorable, the ending scene was great.

Ren Aug 21 2021 4:46 pm This drama teach us about love and sincerity. There's many pros and cons for having Love Alarm and in the end only yourself know your real feeling towards someone. Like what CDG said in last ep, we cant totally depends on machine specifically when in comes to subjective things like feeling in love. Loving this drama so much and the ending is very heart-warming and realistic! Good things Jojo end up with Hye-yeong who sincerely love her from the start and willing to wait and be with her for any circumstances. Considering what she had gone through in the past, Jojo need someone like Hye-yeong to complete her life puzzle :)

So where and when will I meet my own version of Hye-yeong??? Ahaherrr :P

KST Aug 01 2021 1:02 pm I just finished watching the two seasons of Love alarm. The story was really pleasing. I am a great fan of Kim so-hyun and I even watched this because of her. However I found this interesting. This is my first time watching a drama of both Song kang and Jang ga-ram. I think they both are talented actors and who are looking handsome. I specially love to the smile of Jang ga-ram. Its look so innocent ! The cast including Kim so-hyun, jang ga-ram and song kang have well played their character portrayals I suppose because their acting look very natural. the other actors also acting very well. I hope to watch song kang's Nevertheless soon and I really want to see jang ga ram soon with another drama. I really love his acting though it was very little acting he performed here. I think it is better that I watched this later otherwise I won't be able to understand the story. If I had watched the first season early and waited for season two to come I would have been really disappointed! Anyhow this is not just a timid love story this shows us the feeling of getting dumped and the guilt feeling of dumping someone and also the loneliness of some people around us. The concept of a love alarm is really something. This shows how the modern generation is centered with the technology specially with the mobile phone and how it has seized our daily life. so I think Love alarm is a good drama. Just watch and see whether you too like. No regrets!!!

pink Jul 28 2021 8:37 pm It was nerve wracking. But luckily the one Jojo picked is Hyeyoung. Though both men are handsome, I definitely prefer Hyeyoung. Because he's an ideal man. And he's much more handsome than Sun Oh. Well, if you watch Jung Ga Ram's movies and dramas you'll realize he's definitely a high class actor.

This final step will then totally ruin relationships for ever. The government will finally own our souls. It’s well acted, but it’s like a dystopian novel, terrifying. Just like George Orwell’s 1984 was frightening when written in the 1940’s. The faceless Director is scarily well portrayed, Brian Chon - so realistic, he’s great.

Song Kang is very versatile, loved him in Navillera.

Lavender Jul 19 2021 10:48 am Most people who prefer the first season because of it’s cute high school romance are still too young and ignorant to see Jojo’s trauma and how it affected her seemingly stupid decisions— but that’s what trauma does to you, you feel alone and scared and just confused. That’s where Hyeyeong as a love interest makes sense, he was there for Jojo and was patient and didn’t pressure her to anything while she’s trying to figure herself out and come to terms with her trauma. The ending was realistic and it was good since each character has finally moved on and is happy.

The story will be jojo and hye young get tired of each other, so they broke up, and then jojo try to find sun oh but sunoh already settle with yukjo, so jojo ends up alone.

He was such a nice character but the thing is while i was watching each episode i was really expecting an explanation for jojo's and sunho break up i mean a more sense giving reason! Then boom i reached the final episode of season 2. While waiting for that i personally missed the chemistry between jojo and haeyoung.. i think thats what went wrong if we have seen a closer a little bit sooner we would have feel those great couple ( jojo and haeyoung) instead in season 2 the sadness, misery and un answered questions of sunhos catched most of people's attention Nice movie though ☺️☺️

They forget that this is about a broken messed up girl woth traumatic past. It’s about her journey of coming to terms with her past in order to completely love someone, and she does this in a toxic society where your feelings are out in the open as symbolic represented by a mobile app and they dont say I Love You words anymore and where people are obsessed their love alarm ring.

Sun Oh was her first love but she actually found herself when she was with Hye Young. Hye Young was the one who impacted her life so much . He was more mature and never questioned why Jojo felt such and such way. The story was much more than Sun Oh and Jojo high school love. It was about acceptance and loving a person unconditionally. It really heartwarming

Please watch this series if you, if you want to learn about lofe, love values. Recommended!!!

Calla Jun 11 2021 4:52 am Despite the bad comments saying that this drama isn’t worth to watch, I tried to watch both seasons in a day and I can say I’m satisfied with the ending. Yes the first season is sweet and cute love story coz it’s about teenage love story after all. And the second season is slower in plot for some people because it’s a love story among adults. I guess age difference in between both seasons can tell us the psychological behind our main actors and how the story the progress to “this” ending which may differ from what most of audiences expected, especially the end couple. But in my opinion the ending is okay and seems more realistic. Like, imagine you meet someone like Hye Young who wait patiently for you and still love you despite knowing that may still have feelings for another person. Don’t women prefer men who accept and love them the way they are? And if they wait till for you, accompany you, you will see how sincere their feeling is. Not that I say Sun Oh isn’t sincere or anything, but it’s after all Jojo’s choice and she chose to leave him. Also maybe some people who hate on this drama forgot that this is webtoon adaptation?! I meant, if the Author decided Jojo with Hye Young, who are you people to be dissatisfied with her story? On personal note, I love how the story progress from season 1 to season 2 and how the characters developed. Although Sun Oh is more likely my type in visual, personality though Hye Young wins for me because he has the traits that I would love for my love interest to have.

spoiler* why the hell would Kim Jo-Jo date Lee Hye-Young instead of Sun-O? Hey-Young was irrelevant as hell in season 1 and suddenly becomes a big part in season 2? are you kidding me? AT LEAST I expected Jo-Jo to end up with Sun-O, but no. What kind of tv show is this crap?

So many people stopped after season 1, a friend who loves k-dramas couldn't even get through the first episode of season 2. It also took me 2 months to finally finish season 2. it's so boring, bad, has no plot at all or changes it every two episodes. it's also hella cringe.

I Dont Recommend It. It's A Waste Of Time. If You Consider Watching It, Don't.

kate Jun 08 2021 4:00 pm Honestly, if you want to watch this drama, just go ahead and watch it. Most of the bad reviews are from salty fans who are mad about who she ended up with. I for one thought it was a very good drama, people are too busy choosing sides and getting mad at Jojo that they miss the whole point of the story. Yes, Jojo and Sunho's relationship was somewhat cute but it wasn't healthy for her, what girl would want to stay in a relationship that makes her feel insecure and dishonest with herself? The ending in my opinion was beautiful especially when Jojo finally accepts her younger self and finally learns to move on from the past. The only thing Jojo might have done wrong was when she cut off sunho without explaining to him but other than that Haeyoung and Jojo's relationship was more mature and I can't understand how anybody would choose sunho, who forcefully kissed her both times she was with someone else over haeyoung who was nothing but sweet and patient and let her know that its ok to reject him and such.

Kim Sohyun is a wonderful actress so I’m surprised she agreed to play this cliche role. Overplayed romance in every kdrama. Don’t waste your time with this show.

Yeah i still think this is one of the realistic kdrama that i ever watch. Sometimes i can't brain to some commenter out there that don't know how to differentiate reality and kdrama. Some of them hates on kim sohyun just because of kim jojo. But not surprised at all cause some kdrama lover really hate women a lot, i think this is not first time a female lead character get hates just because they didn't choose what majority want. All characters in love alarm is a toxic for me, that's why i think it's realistic but only kim jojo gets all hates. From all kdrama i watched that involves a love triangle i think hyeyoung is a typical second lead character in kdrama but idk why this time kdrama fans changing their type. Not too good looking maybe? he's so sweet tho. This story is about love alarm, an application that will ring your alarm. To anyone who want to start this drama read synopsis first cause it's not only a romance drama but it's a love drama that use an application to express your feeling. That's why this drama is not typical romance drama. Any way, i love the webtoon better, it shows more conflict and dark side of an application more than love story. Ugh sigh..... love triangle really ruin a good drama

Cereja May 01 2021 3:40 am I can't believe I waited for this final. The whole season was boring because of this forced relationship with Soo hyeon... Really? I've been getting tired of seeing this. I started to pass and I finished the last one just to understand how this shit was going to end ... And all i had to do was see her with what I thought she'd just be a great friend. There's no chemistry, it was all very forced, and even though she ended up liking him, We didn't understand how. This seemed more like a comodist love. So, yes, I hated season 2... I hoped I hadn't even seen it so I wouldn't feel sad for Sun O's character. It doesnt make any sense.

Sunho was really cute. Good that he had yukjo with him. The to the ending was not satisfying. But I really like Kim Soo Hyeon. She is to pretty. I'm quite satisfied with the ending. S2 became a different story from the previous one. S1 focuses mainly on how love alarm works (to know who loves you) and how everyone became dependent on who will ring each one to prove their love that continuous to S2 and became much worst. While S2 proven that Kim Jojo can be different. She choses to shield herself to protect her love, bcs of her unpleasant past she believed she carries a bad luck that everyone will be in danger once closer to her that might leave her (u will understand in s2 why she keeps being secretive to everyone).

While on the process of healing, as Jojo choses to be alone then comes Hye Hyeong to TELL HER that be never and to see him as someone who will ring her love alarm just not to be alone. Also SunOh tries to move on but its very hard for him, he needed more answers. As years past, we cannot deny that Jojo and HyeHyeong grow fond of each other but Jojo keeps struggling and confused bcs of her shield(yes, again dependent with the app, she can't no more tell based on what she feels). S2 was short and not enough to develop their relationship but its still there developing and growing. This season presents an app(love alarm) can't truly dictate or instruct us who truly loves us, we should also consider possibilities a human can do and decide. it limits our own volition.

Sun oh then realize at the end that its too late for him as Jojo already loves hyehyeong, its sad but thats the main story for S2, to be different. They've met but not for each other.

1. Jojo loves hye hyeong since Ep 1 of S2. See at the End of ep6, scenes of JoJo ringing HyeHyeong Love alarm. 2. Mother of SunOh is also different. She cant ring her husband's love alarm but the husband does ring hers but he do cheats on her while she's not. A rare case. A good lesson for SunOh to try caring YukJo even also cannot ring hers.

LOL Apr 07 2021 4:58 am The longest 6 episodes you'll ever watch. Totally unnecessary season. The chemistry between the final pairing just doesn't exist, it's SO forced. They flashback to every romantic scene between the final pairing and it's even more obvious that they have 0 chemistry. It's kind of incredible how little chemistry they have.

Every scene is 10x longer than it needs to be. Jojo should've ended up with no one, she didn't deserve anyone lol.

The premise of the show and direction is completely shifted. It's almost like they retconned the last episode of S1. The Love Alarm app was the center of Season 1. It's basically non-existent this season aside from the problems caused in first season. What a disappointing follow up to season 1. There's no material to work with and the runtime is so stretched out with filler visually aesthetic shots. Season 2 shouldn't have existed tbh

This is wat actually happens in real life. Not everyone end up with who they want, our hearts change and so does our feelings. erika Apr 05 2021 6:33 am Fell short of my expectation. Season 1 ended with intriguing cliffhanger but the drama didnt extend anything from that ending. I came into season 2 knowing full well Jojo will end up with Hye Young. Just let me say this, this is the first ever I'm writing my review over hundreds of dramas i've watched in my life. My expectation is too high, but oh my I waited years for nothing. I dont wish to say too much. But some of my biggest issue with this season of Love Alarm were 1) Lack of Character Development, 2) Pacing, 3) Drama tone and vibe, 4) Lack of continuity from S1. Okay first, character development. Kim Jojo by far is one of the worst kdrama heroine ever. While I love Kim So Hyun, Kim Jojo is just selfish, dishonest, classic candy heroine, damsel in distress type of heroine. Always running away from her problems and incapable to face the truth directly. Hye Young? The reason he wasnt my preferred lead was because he's a passive type of guy and that made him a boring character. I just dont look forward to his scenes, its uninteresting if anything. Sun-oh, the same old same old desperate and pathetic guy from season 1. While I personally find Song Kang as the best actor in the series, but oh boy, dear writer cant you let him grow up after all of this time skip? Second issue, slow pacing of the drama. I truly understood the intention of this was to create a more mature outlook towards the character, but that's the issue right? The mature adult vibe doesnt go well with the lack of character development of our leads. The writing abruptly changed from teensy/school vibe in S1 to targeted young adult for this season. This tone changed in a way killed my excitement. Altho I dont really mind this, but my issue went to the 4th issue, and that is the lack of continuity from S1 to S2. From 'what actually happened during the time skip' that remains unanswered to no continuation towards the cliffhanger from S1. If they had actually explained to us or actually 'did something' to create a nice continuation, the writing will feel smooth. But that isnt the case, there is this huge gap in the writing, and this is my biggest issue with Love Alarm 2.

So do I recommend this drama? I'm not sure. Netflix productions are always pretty. From OST, camera shots, cinematography. Thats my credit, and I think the execution in production is beautiful. But the driving force of a drama will always be scriptwriting and thats the exactly what this drama is lacking. Chemistry? Romantic scenes feels forced, the main OTP lacked chemistry. But I could easily brush that off if the writing isnt so detached and lacking.

Me Mar 28 2021 9:56 am I'm underwhelmed. There were lots of questions that were left unanswered in the first season. I was hoping that they would be answered in season 2, BUT NO. Instead, they gave us a seemingly different story. Season 1 focused so much on Jojo and Sun oh's story and it was too powerful that we were actually misled that they were gonna end up together. Jojo's sudden feelings for Hye Young was actually weird for me. I love Hye Young too. But sorry. Everything in the second season felt like an aweful prank. I'm just gonna pretend it never happened.

I have high expectation in Season 2 but got really disappointed after watching. The center of the story is the Love Alarm App and it changes in Season 2. In Season 1 the app helped people express their feelings by ringing someone's alarm and it also helped people knew who loved you all along. That is what happened with Jojo, Sun-oh and Hyeyong. And the reason why Jojo uses the shield is to protect both because she loves Sun-oh and as a friend with Hyeyong. Whereas in Season 2, it broke the purpose of the app in the story. It centers all of a sudden the "free will" of a person who to love. The story shift made real quick haha. In short, the story is fictional, finish it as is. Don't cross to reality just to make a factual "learning" at the end. The writer could've made a better "learning" by sticking to its fictional form. So sad. I changed my rating in Netflix ?

Hyeyeong was waiting patiently when Jojo was somebody else's girlfriend, but Sunoh went straight to kiss her. I mean, Sunoh IS handsome, but dangg gurll if he doesn't know what respect is then im out.

Though it felt Rushed Of course bcz Jung Garam had to Serve In Military so they Tried every possibilities.I loved They made the Mature version this season plus some Character development in Season 1's lifeless characters .I was Always Rooting for Hye-yeong but I totally think He Deserved a far Better Girl .Still They could Make a 14 or 16 Episode Drama instead of releasing it two times with Season, so They Didn't have to Slide some Important Developments and facts about the app developer,which needed more time .

The story is beautiful and it also ended perfectly.. I really dont understand why people are being so negative about this drama... And what amazed me even more is the amount of people are actually root for such selfish and immature guy like Sun oh.. Who is so obsessive and childish... He deliberately goes after his best friend's crush , kissed someone else's girlfriend, Doesn't respect other's opinion, embarrass the girl infront of people, never being there when she needed him, Just knows to whine, even after being in relationship with someome else goes after the girl again when she was dating someone else and treat.the girlfriend like trash... I mean just beacuse he was heartbroken once he keeps hurting other ever after 4year damn years... And people goes head over heels for such a guy like him...???? and being upset that a guy like Hye Yeong was chosen...he.so sweet, kind and actually the epitome of perfection...he is patient,.loyal, always thereb when needed, respectful towards people's choice and most of loves jojo unconditionally...

In this drama eveyone has their own struggle and pain but they didnt complained and tried to find their happiness unless sun oh who just knew to whine and always blames other.... If i was jojo i would choose a genuine guy Hye Yeong 100 out 100 times....

The hole story und the hole acting shows the powerfull love between Jojo and Sun Oh. So powerfull that it is to scary for her. Because she is afraid of loosing him as she lost her parents. Never really cared about this series because I thought it's just another cliche drama, but due to lockdown I decided to watch it. Season 1 was good, and I got excited for Season 2, and I really liked it. I like how we got to see how an enduring and patience love of Hyeyeong finally won Jojo's. That a genuine love that do not pressures you, a love that never asks anything in return can actually be reciprocated. Imagine being loved by the person you love for so long. Unfortunately, not all can appreciate this kind of story. Although only few, I am still happy seeing people who actually liked the ending like me. It was refreshing to have an ending where the man who was always on the background, was finally given the second look by the female lead. I decided to rewatch it from Season 1 until 2 and the story actually made sense, and is actually pointing/leading towards them. We also see Jojo's journey towards self acceptance and healing. Also, the growth of the characters. This drama is now part of my favorites, it was calm and serene.

Ring hye yong love alarm. It's just she has to do that, (using spear) since the world their live is where something called love alarm exist.. Finally JoJo can embrace herself, little JoJo. We got resolution too for JoJo and sunOh

I think in the epilogue, both JoJo and hye yong didn't really care about jojo's log love alarm. They're confident with their feelings

It's not always popular ship baby. It's the chemistry between actress and actors that are amazing. As expected from Kim Sohyun. It's my first time seeing jung garam and song kang acting. It's brilliant.

Sun-oh deserved better, Jojo was a pathological liar lol (she didn’t deserve hye-yeong either after using the spear and keeping everything from him) Jojo and Hye-yeong’s forced chemistry was boring as hell and hard to connect with. Tbh the scenes between her and sun-oh were more heart wrenching, they must just have better chemistry on screen. Definitely wasted my time waiting almost 2 years for season 2. It’s pretty much a flop, Netflix knows it and even the actors do - I find it pretty strange that they didn’t really advertise it much on their personal instagrams like they did with season 1. They knew who the popular ship was Jojo and Sun-oh but they still decided to ruin it hahahaha. What a waste!

How she wanted to protect herself from more drama (we know she had enough problem already. SY-KY just scream more drama and pain, with the bullies and SY's mom). She needs someone who can give her comfort, not the the one that makes her crazy with painful love and bullies. And HY... I love his character so much. If I'm KJ, I will definitely choose him, too. Because he is the one KJ needs. He is the one who gives her a "shelter". It's always better to have a shelter to protect yourself instead of constantly being put under the spotlight while being bullied by the ones who like your boyfriend and his mom.

But I think if I were in Jo Jo's place, I would take the same decision. Jo jo is a girl who has gone through lots of difficulties, and now want to have a burden less life. But in season one when she saw Sun oh's parents, it's like she could feel that to be with Sun oh, she has to go through hardship. I think this fear push her to take the decision. And again she feel in love with Hye young in season 2, cause his love for Jo jo makes her feels secure and relief with him. This feelings make her feel in love with Hye young. I don't know why, but I can relate to Jo Jo. I hope people don't hate Jo jo. She was not bad. She was just too weak to choose Sun oh. And Hye Young's love gives her strength to love Hye young back.

Everyone was bullying her even sun oh's mom threatened her... She had no one to lean on, yet she tried to stick to sun oh but after the accident she once again thrown into that horrible childhood memory.. She always blamed herself for her parents death and same with the accident, she thought sun oh's life was getting ruined beacuse of her... Thats why she distanced herself from sun oh.. She wasnt selfish.. She just chose to bad for sun oh to let her go... Let rewind ur memory, after the accident she gathered up all her courage to go to sun oh.. She went to sun oh's house but sun oh wasnt there for her... Thats when she realised they cant be together beacuse they belong to two different world.. Sun oh cant be there for her evn if he wants to.. And she didnt wanted sun oh to throw away his future because of her... Thats why she turned around her back and decied to leave.... And why she didnt give him an proper explanation?? Do u think sun oh would've let her go if she told him She's leaving for his own good... Can she honestly say she's happy because her love is easy? Is it really love with Hye Hyeong? Just because it's simple?

I came to write that I hated that she wouldn't even give Sun-oh a chance, because if we're honest he never had a chance since she never wanted to open up to him. (Her shield was up long before Love Alarm app). So in writing this I've conceded to the fact that JoJo and Hye Hyeong were supportive of each other and although they were scared they still eventually let each other in.

Will I watch a season 3? Probably not. Her real conflict was withing herself and in finding that out she hurt 2 people and their friendship. It sucks more because for that long time of her confusion Sun Oh, unlike Hye- Hyeong, was really alone. He lost friend and girlfriend all in one blow.

So to sum it all up Sun Oh was the one that loosened the lid before Hye-Hyeong could open the jar.

Sad eyes Mar 18 2021 6:33 pm I hated the end. Its outrageous, feels like that season 01 was cut without a wrap up and then got cancelled. Season 02 is like watching the shadows of season 01 characters, it does not make sense how Jojo was so into Sub-O, and then she suddenly ages to 20-23 and becomes a shadow of her old self and decides otherwise. So bummed as I am watching the last episode wrap up after 6 espisodes that literarly run on slow motion with soft sad songs filling the void only to reveal nothing new. A year and a half wait only to be dissapointed of how season 02 proceeds with a new story line. The songs are nice though.

If some of you said that the storyline being a little boring,i’m agree. however, if you don't like it because of Jojo endup with Hyeyeong, let me tell you..... its a fair ending tho. Hyeyeong is such a sincere character. He never talk in angry tone to Jojo. Meanwhile sun oh can’t control his emotion like quite yelling to Jojo in front of everyone (in the canteen scene, which is so childish)

There’s someone like Jojo tho, someone that doesn’t like to be a spotlight even if its because of her lover, even she liked by a rich, handsome man. And remember in ep 6, minute 32:00 Jojo said “It’s not because i hate you, it’s because you were too heavy” just admited that there’s someone like Jojo, guys. Someone that being more comfortable with someone in the same level as their self.

Maybe at some point, how Jojo end the relationship with sun oh feels isn’t that good and a bit to harsh to Sun Oh, but after all, it’s a quite good drama + The story between gulmi and dok gu is interesting too.... Lassst: i saw a comment, be frankly, we’re just in love with Song Kang, not Sun Oh! Which is quite true i guess..

And i'm glad that Sunoh meet a very kind girl, Yukjo. Actually, the messages of the story delivered very well in these short episode. Its a very touching, emotional, and beautiful drama. Oh, i love the ost too!

I love the 2nd male lead but I felt like why change everything in the second season so unnaturally. We could have had a great continuation were she learns to love him. Sun-O knew about it but didn't care about the feelings of his best friend but he did steal her from him without even giving him the chance to make the first move. He used his rich and famous guy's status to kiss Jojo and make her his girlfriend knowing his best friend was in love with her first. Hyeyoung did sacrifice everything for the sake of his friendship with Sun-O and for his own family's sake 'cuz they lived under Sun-O's house. He even helped her to reach with Sun-O after the incident of the moto accident but he only made the first move after Jojo did break up with Sun-O. So for me everything is fair here. I'm glad that this time the poor guy got the girl unlike in many other dramas. Only Dream high 1 was an exception before.

He knew that his friend loved Jojo, but he still insisted on making Jojo his. Second, he knew Jojo had a boyfriend, but he still kissed Jojo. Just because he has good looks and a celeb, that doesn’t mean he can do everything he wants. He’s such a bad friend and is very self-centered.

Hye Young waited for Jojo in season 1 but he didn’t have the chance to express his love bcs of Sun Oh. Hye Yeong never treated Sun Oh badly despite knowing that Sun Oh tempted Jojo into liking him. And in season 2, CDG (the developer) did say about signs of Jojo loving Hye Yeong is when Jojo’s name disappear from people who will like him. So she really did love Hye Yeong, bcs of his genuine love. Small details like Kim Jojo’s name appearing at Sun Oh’s screen is also a sign that Jojo stopped loving him.

Sun Oh, is a loser too for making Yuk Joo feel like trash? He has a gf but treats her very poorly. Jojo is an independent girl, he needs a mature guy, not a boy who is not over his highschool sweetheart. If we watch very carefully, there’s a scene in season 2 where people start hating on Jojo when her and Sun Oh’s video went viral. They’re not the best match. He’s a celeb and she’s just an ordinary girl who wants to live a quiet life.

After all the hurt Hye Young went through in season 1, he really deserves Jojo after all. Let’s be frank, yall love Song Kang not Sun Oh.

I was an avid shipper of Sunoh and Jojo since season 1 and was dissapointed and not surprised she ended up with Hyeyoung but that's not the issue. I actually really liked Hyeyoung and did not mind at all that Jojo chosed him. It was the atmosphere and the pace of the drama that I did not like. It was emotional and had romantic scenes, I give it that, but this season was so slow and boring. If they had hyped up Jojo and Hyeyoung more, I would've like this season more. I wonder if season 1 represented Jojo's and Sunoh's journey of love, everything was happening so fast and then it crashed which excited me and maybe season 2 was slow and steady showing Hyeyoung's love for Jojo as he waits for her to ring his love alarm. But even if its that, I'd really wished this season was as good or as exciting as the first one.

It has nothing to do with age or maturity if you ship JoJo and sun oh. The main reason people liked them together was because of the chemistry and how clearly they liked each other. She broke up with him without any explanation which hurts like why would you even do that. People are mad cuz it doesn’t make sense who she ended up with. There was no chemistry and although hye young was a nice guy he was a very flat character. In this season, I liked the emphasis that love is something that cannot be measured with an application - which can be any social media platform in real life - and that love should be given effort. Many of us fell in love at some point in our lives and only a few of us continued to be with their first love. Yes, Jojo's first love was Sun-oh, but her true love was Hye-Young. As the drama ended, everything proceeded perfectly normal. To be more precise, it proceeded naturally. I know this season was disappointing for some of us, but (although I was annoyed with Jojo in some scenes) Jojo, what I saw every time she looked at Hye-Young was love. For Hye-Young, I have nothing negative to say, he was undoubtedly my favorite character in the series. I love everything about him. His relationship with Jojo was beautiful. This is a happy ending for my taste :)))

I mean, if it's in real life, i would also chose Hyeyoung over Sunoh. Yet i also understand why sunoh was behaving like that, it was because Jojo was not clear enough with her feeling and ended things with him (although almost at the end it was explained why she hesitated, it was because she kinda depend on her joalarm so she couldnt be so sure of her own feelings).

Sunoh was kind of whiny and overconfident, while Hyeyoung although he has his own baggage, he's sturdy and dependable. He also waits Jojo patiently and does not push Jojo. For someone who's unsure of things and get pressured from various ways, Jojo needs someone like Hyeyoung who does not add up to her burden. Imagine if Jojo was with Sunoh, his parents are too much to handle for her. But at the same time, I also like how Sunoh cut things clearly when he learned that Jojo had that shield on her app. He was reckless when it comes to Jojo, but he's so honest that Yukjo was willing to let him go (sobs Yukjo and Hyeyoung are really that angels tbh).

While i like Jojo ended with Hyeyoung, I cannot help but think that Sohyun and Song Kang's chemistry is better than when she's with Garam. Maybe that's why people are mad, because Jojo and Sunoh's chemistry in season 1 was so strong. Their chemistry in this season wasnt so bad either, they just have less moments since the story was so adamant on making Jojo ended up with Hyeyoung.

I understan 3 of them have some childhood trauma. But what is lacking is communication. JoJo shouldve make it clear to Sun Oh, so that he wont get so much hurt. Whatever happened to you in the past, still theres no reason to hurt people with no explanation.

JoJo's personality when she ran away from problem is hurting others. Sun Oh repeatedly asked her to explain to him why. But she just keep ignored him, and it hurts him even more.

Seriously, communication is the key really. You dont expecr people to understand whats in your mind if you dont say or explain it.

Just imagine if Jojo chose to get back with Sunoh. What would've happened? You think his parents will allow him to date her? Especially his father who's so obsessed with their family reputation. If this kdrama went down that path, what will happen next? Sunoh's parents slapping her with money? Throwing water to her face? Humiliating her? Separating them? We've already seen that in 100+ other kdramas. I'm so happy that this time, the story is not about that. It's actually refreshing to see a kdrama portray such mature and healthy relationship like what Jojo and Hyeyeong have. It's not always the handsome guy gets the girl (Hyeyeong is cute too btw). This time, the nice and better man gets the girl. We've seen how their relationship grew. Kdramas should do more of this tbh.

I don’t understand why most is still supporting the relationship between Jojo and Sunoh when it was obvious that Jojo is already happy with the man she chose and Sun Oh was already in a relationship that he didn’t bother to get out off (like make up your mind if you really dont like Yukjo).

Hyeyeong himself said if got dumped by her he will let himself be dumped— he’s putting all the decision on Jojo while being patient about it. That was a sincere love would look like. Jojo was contemplating whether she really liked Hyeyeong or not was because she relied on the app to tell her, but because of the shield it wasn’t possible. But then she really wanted to take off the shield because she wanted to ring Hyeyeong’s alarm, it shows that without the app she actually has feelings for him. (It was actually explained so well by Duk Gu when Hyeyeong was disappointed that Jojo used the spear, watch it again to see).

That’s what the story is about, not to rely so much on the app to tell you what you’re feeling and what/who to choose— it was supposed to come from yourself, the app was supposed to be just a tool to show your feelings not the decision maker.

And if you really watch season 2 it’s so obvious that Jojo likes Hyeyeong back, I mean I wouldn’t stay that long or worked that hard on a relationship if I don’t like the guy. A freaking hot guy told Jojo he still had feelings for her but all she thought about was Hyeyeong? Yeah the girl’s in love

At the end of season 1, we can see that Hyeyeong has finally made a move on Jojo which she acknowledged, there was a time skip between season 1 and 2, just because they didnt show it doesnt mean that Hyeyeong stopped courting her and then just suddenly they’re in a relationship.

And please the chemistry between Hyeyeong and Jojo was there, they were super cute together, anyone that says they lack chemistry is just blinded by their desire to have Sunoh as the end game.

All the actors did an amazing job in building the characters and the chemistry.

JoJo and Sun-Oh had a great chemistry and they loved each other a lot. The reason she left him was when the accident happened on the high school trip. She went to Sun-Ohs parents house and overheard about JoJo and how is causing mischief. They said they would send him off to the US. When she heard that she felt bad and at school people were gossiping about her. JoJo never liked people talking about her so she got shield to push Sun-Oh away. But she didn’t his feelings into account. She just cared about protecting herself I feel. I did like some parts for season 2 but for me overall it was terrible. I waited long for this season to come out and it just wasn’t worth it.

I believe this is the case of the actor becoming bigger than the show. Song Kang connected well with the audience, plus he had several other hit dramas before this.

If Song Kang was Hye-young, people would have sympathized with the character more. They would have realized the ending was appropriate.

Yes, Sun-oh was probably Jojo's first love but NOT all first loves has to end up together. Hyeyeong has always been patient and respectful towards Jojo. He never forced her to love him back. He just love her without expecting anything in return. His character is very mature and he really is a good person. Tbh, I didn't like Sun-oh's character since Ep 1 of Season 1. He really started on the wrong footing for me. He only went after Jojo because he's curious why Hyeyeong likes her. He kissed Jojo knowing that she has a bf and knowing that his bestfriend likes her (what an a**h*le). He even have the audacity to ask Hyeyeong multiple times if he likes Jojo. I mean Hyeyeong does not want to reveal his feelings for Jojo because she has a bf that time and he RESPECTS that. He's not obligated to confess his feelings to anyone. Hyeyeong answered him once "I don't like Jojo because you like her". Like, why my boy has to suffer like this. ? When Jojo and Sunoh became bf/gf, Hyeyeong also respected their relationship. He never blamed or got mad at Sun-oh because he really value him as a friend. When he accidentally rang Jojo's alarm, he decided to delete the app so that things won't get awkward for the three of them. He also doesn't want to make Jojo feel uncomfortable. Even after the accident in Jeju, he helped Jojo to meet Sun-oh. Like seriously, how can someone be as good as him. In Season 2, my dislike for Sunoh's character grew even more. His obsession for Jojo is really scary. He even went to Jojo's classroom and make her feel uncomfortable. Even if he knows Jojo and Hyeyeong are already dating, he still forces his way in. See the big difference between him and Hyeyeong?? He already have a gf and yet he still comes after his first love. Like, why? Yukjo doesn't deserve this. He also yelled and got mad at Jojo several times. His love for Jojo is toxic. He's selfish and only cares about his own feelings and doesn't care about other people's feelings (Jojo, Hyeyeong and Yukjo). What Jojo needs is a mature love, a healthy relationship and that is with Hyeyeong. They helped each other overcome their pains. Hyeyeong's love for her is genuine and unconditional. This is why I really love his character.

To add, there has been a number of kdramas where I always scratch my head when the FL chooses the main lead even when the second lead is the better man. Even when the main lead is toxic or smthng. So in Love Alarm, finally a kdrama where we got the FL choose the better man. That is refreshing for me.

Anyways, that's the end of my long rant. I just hope people separate the actors from their characters. Just because you're Team Sunoh or Team Hyeyeong doesn't mean you can also hate on the other actor. I'm Team Hyeyeong all the ways but I never hated Song Kang. I actually like him in the other dramas that he's in.

He stole his bestfriend’s crush, also someone’s girlfriend (when he kissed Jojo in season 1 first episode), and then he hurt his girlfriend’s heart by going after his first love (yeah imagine being Yukjo), and he continues to hurt his bestfriend Hyeyeong again by still coming to Jojo asking about her feelings when she made it clear she didn’t want to be with him anymore. Sun Oh hurt people around him for his own feelings— while he’s being honest and sincere, he’s also being selfish.

But at the end we can see that he’s actually happy, he got the closure he needed, he accepted that sometimes things just can’t go the way he wanted to, and he started to appreciate the girl who has been around him all this time, Yukjo. So yeah he got a happy ending too— just not with Jojo

I am happy with the ending as I think Hye Young really deserves JoJo. I think JoJo is an insecure person due to her childhood traumas and Hye Young is always being patient and respectful to her. I think this is why JoJo feels safe with him and is willing to give him her heart. Hence, in my opinion, I think Hye Young suits JoJo more!

It was unexpected and could have let some fans sad with the end but personally I think that it was a good ending. Everyone seemed like they had started to find their path in life, what they needed, might not be the fairytale we are used to but it’s what we needed to see. I have to congratulate the authors, they did an excellent job!

So don't be the same as the drama with the comic ... because the comic is finished by hanging ... while the drama is disappointing and teaches us that those who are hurt will get a sad ending while those who hurt get a good ending ...

The love grows and comes to u even when u didn't notice and realize it. Hye and Jojo deserve each other, they both heal and comfort each other (+ they're so cute tgt). I'm so waiting for sunoh to man-up and he finally did it in the last couple eps. finally he let Jojo go and let Yukjo in his life. He should do it from the beginning. My conclusion is, i really love this season, and not wanting any further season. Thanks to all crew and cast for making this season so beautiful and heartwarming ❤️?

She was young, she thought that was the best thing to do.

Yes Sunoh loves her so much, but he didn’t even consider Jojo’s feelings even after a few year when she said she wanted to pursue something with Hyeyeong (by the end of season 1).

Again in season 2, Sunoh (who already had a loyal girlfriend) still keeps on pestering Jojo about her feelings and she had made it clear that she had moved on and is working on her relationship with Hyeyeong. Yes Sunoh is honest with his feelings but he didn’t respect the feelings of those around him (Hyeyeong, Jojo, and his girlfriend Yukjo).

But thank God, by the end of season 2 you can see that Sunoh has improved, he had accepted that his first love had moved on— he should too, and he’s beginning to respect and appreciate Yukjo.

It’s a good ending for the series since they all have matured and have found their own happiness. (Sunoh is happy in the ending—watch it again and you’ll see).

But the ending seemed too Rushed; I feel like if there were a couple more episodes building on forgiveness it would have been better.

jojo and sun oh needed closure from each other. first love is meaningful to many but it’s called first for a reason. it doesn’t have to be the only and last love as well. sun oh is amazing but his oftentimes impulsive nature combined with jojo’s is just toxic. hye young provides the understanding and patience jojo needs in her life.

i do hope hye young and sun oh become friends again though. sun oh really needs support to free himself from his family.

If they decided to stray away from the entire webtoon that would be doing the author wrong. Also, I’m not sure if I’m the only one, but Sunoh and Jojo relationship seemed rushed and low key toxic. I knew Hyeyeong would get the girl at the end since both Sohyun and Garam were chosen for the roles, while Song Kang had to audition.

Love Alarm does not make sense at all. All the characters are toxic and obsessed with romance especially Kim Jojo who can’t even learn to be dependent, if she does not choose Sun Oh, then she will left him hanging and start dating his friend. It just doesn’t make any sense.

Kim So Hyun really needs to step up her game with choosing her dramas. How could she gain more fans and support if she kept choosing bad scripts? No matter how great the acting is, it will still be overshadowed with the mediocre writing. Yes she is the star and this is supposed to be Jojo-centric drama but imagine, instead of getting praise with her acting, it was rather a comment of disappointment with how problematic her character was.

I hope she reads her script offers well next time same with Song Kang. Her acting is just beyond this kind of dramas. She should not settle for this longer. 1. Jojo was never truly honest about her feelings, even until the very end. She played with her words constantly which kept Sun-o never able to get the closure he needed. When she kissed Sun-o in the second season and she disappeared from Hye-Youngs "people who will love you" list, how does that happen if she doesn't still care for Sun-O? After she uses her spear and going into college the next day. Her friend says to her she thought she would have been happier, she reply's it'll take some time to get used too. The tape played at the end showing her love alarm log only showed times hye-young had set her alarm off, not the times Sun-O had also?..

2. I'm still a little confused as to why she felt the need to use the shield in the first place. She only installed it after she heard his parents talking about sending him away if he got in trouble again and hearing people blaming her for the bike accident. So Was it because she was worried about herself getting hurt, or was she scared of hurting Sun-O (like she blamed herself because of her parents).

3. At the end Guk-du shows an app he's working on that detects when someone is lying.. Could this be a hint for season 3? Will her feelings be caught out if hye-young was to ask if she still loved Sun-O? She only ever had one spear, what's to say she doesn't love them both?

Whilst this story was never just about love, it was about jojo overcoming her childhood trauma and understanding to forgive herself and allow herself to be loved. Also about people obsession with technology and relying on likes to feel worthy. This is where hye-young were so different from Sun-O. Sun-O felt the love alarm ringing was the be all and end all, where Hue-young understood aout it needing to be natural.

Whilst both their reasons for loving her we're different, they were both still love. ?

z Mar 13 2021 4:58 am the first season of love alarm had a way more fun vibe. perhaps they didnt anticipate for love alarm to become so popular, and they hired a different director/writer for season 2.. well, big mistake. there were a lot of times i just felt very bored. however, i rly did like the ending and hyeyoung and jojo's first kiss made me cry from how beautiful it was.. he patiently waited for her and never pushed her to show she liked him, even when she did, so it just felt very well deserved and there was mutual love/respect on both sides. however, the writing in s2 was just bad and it wasted their chemistry.. i may read the webtoon to get more fun scenes between them. jojo's cousin (park gyul) STOLE THE SHOW. a very hatable character in s1, but i believe she redeemed herself well and she was the only character to have a fun vibe. her laziness and desire for quick fame reminds me of myself lol. also her mom was quite evil in s1, but u learn to sympathize w her character as well (shes been working hard as a single mom without any breaks).. i liked how they humanized her character. i understand why sun oh stans would be disappointed,, yes he was very demanding with his affection, however his actor (song kang) is hella talented and i def could feel his heartbreak from the screen. i also felt his chemistry w the second lead girl was very lacking however.. i dont think he needed to move on with someone else at the end, but i will respect the director's choice to stick to the webtoon ending. overall, it was mostly a boring watch, the fun chaotic energy in s1 barely remained, but there were some scenes i liked and park gyul, my least fave character in s1, turned to my favorite character here, unexpectedly. rating: 5/10

But I also understand that people tend to focus on the actors than the character itself, it's really hard to detached from it. Maybe I'm just a fan of slow burn love story, because I'd get to learn more about the character itself. I don't if it's just me, but what sets me off from the beginning is that Sun Oh seems like to know that Hye-Yeong likes Jojo but still approach and that when he stop pursuing Jojo because he doesn't ring his love alarm anymore, their love story is really for young ones too which is probably why teenagers are mad because it's relatable to them. While Hye-Yeong already like Jojo from the beginning, his love for Jojo is also one the reason why CDG created Love Alarm. He continues to pursue Jojo even though she doesn't ring her love alarm to the point thag he got hurt when Jojo use the spear because he feels like it's not sincere. If you actually watch and try to understand it, you'd know that the story isn't just about love but them overcoming the idea of what love is supposed to be which is ringing someone's love alarm. Also, I hope people stop losing their moral over things like this.

News flash, people, you're not supposed to forcefully kiss someone who's in a relationship and demand that she tell you she likes you! He should have respected Hyeyoung AND JoJo enough to not be so forceful. Yeah, it's sad for him that she rejected him, but he went about the whole thing the entirely wrong way. He automatically assumed she loved him because he's just that full of himself.

Hyeyoung has been there consistently, waiting for her, even though there was a chance she wouldn't reciprocate his feelings. He always put her first instead of thinking about himself and did everything he could to make her happy.

I’m glad that each of them has a character development by the end. Jojo can finally accept her past and be sure of her feelings. Hyeyeong also gets what he deserves and mend his friendship with Sunoh. Sunoh can finally accept Jojo’s decision and also appreciate Yukjo.

I tried to warm up to Hyeyoung's and Jojo's relationship as it was slow and mature but it was not interesting enough for me to continue the season. I honestly stopped at episode 4. I felt so heartbroken for Sunho, he barely smiled throughout the season. I'm glad yukjo was there for him, but I was hoping he'll end up with Jojo. Anyways, this season was not as good as the first I will honestly rate it as 2/10. Sorry not sorry.

Every single one here is politically correct, and are entitled to voice out how they feel should be the ending not the other way around. The outlines of the story contradicts every aspect of what Season 1 was. It’s not about the morale or algorithm or what “volition” means or if one is academically right. If you are truly invested in the story, you would have realize by now that every character has their own way of showing sincerity like normal human beings. Sun-Oh was sincere and honest. We are living in a world exactly like love alarm, only difference is that it’s called Instagram. A world where we have to be conscious of what we say and do because it needs to fit that so-called social norm. I think that’s frustrating. So don’t be a judge of character after it is just a drama and we are not in the courtroom of Judge Judy. I don’t like the storyline but I don’t hate it. I just feel like it could have been a lot better.

While yes, the trajectory for this season has been consistently pointing out to Hye-young-centric plot with limited plot development for Sun-oh (whom I believe was given justice in Season 1), this conclusion was expected for the writers to finally get to their point or the morale of the story - that while the algorithm provides us recommendations based on personal data, it is never absolute and that it is human volition (our free will) that prevails and is controlling in the end. It is that one deus ex machina factor that can outdo AI. It may not be a satisfying end for Sun-oh, but if you think about it more objectively, the ending was fitting. He had to realize on his own what sincerity is - a matter of which that can never be defined by formula. Imagine living in a world like this... it's stressful to always be mindful of your actions and emotions.

It was so unfair for Sun Oh since the last part of S1, so I expected that he will get the justice in S2 but not. They even destroyed him more in S2. It seems that there is nothing goes right in his life. His family (forced to do things that he doesn't just to show the image of a perfect family), his lovelife and forcing himself to love someone that he doesn't (it is so depressing in the reality). Everyone says Jojo is so pitiful because of her past but in reality it's Sun Oh who has the saddest story from the series (besides the fact that he got left in the air by Jojo without even a proper closure and his one and only friend because he chose love over him). In the story they want to convey that Sun Oh is selfish but for my interpretation from the story, it was Jojo & Hye Young who are selfish in their own ways. For Jojo, she just focus on her own feelings without taking consideration of the guy leads' feelings while Hye Young chose his love even knowing that the girl hurt his friend. Yes, he fell in love first but after knowing that the girl left your bestfriend in the air and cause him so much pain, then decided to choose her felt just so unfair. Sun Oh's part in the story is so devastating, his scenes will really make you feel the suffering he is going through on the entire series. My heart breaks with Sun Oh while watching the series not because he was not the endgame but because they'd been too unfair to him. (I'm actually okay that Jojo end with Hye Young but how the story goes is just nuts.)

I was in team Sun-Oh too. but the second season (UPSET THAT IT ONLY HAD ^ EPISODES) built a great love story for Jojo and HyeYeong.

I felt that everything was so fast paced, they could have added more interaction between Jojo and SunOh!!!!!! Or at least gave a closure to SunOh and Jojo's love story. It feels like it was slapped on just to finish the story.

I had so much high hopes for this, if only they gave closure to many things like: Why Jojo broke up with Sunoh What other reasons why DukGu tried to kill himself Why SunOh didn't pursue Jojo even after knowing about the shield, they made him look like a dumb stalker instead.

Ugh! Wishing for another season for a better storyline. Still, part of me is happy that Jojo ended up with someone who prioritizes her happiness over anything else.

I'm just a neutral viewer and neutral chemistry reader here. I don't root for Sun-O nor Hye-young. After all, I'm old enough to be the lead actors' / lead actress' mom. My son is only a couple years older than Kim So-Hyun and a couple of years younger than Song Kang.

When I watched the first season I was at the brink of dropping the drama just because of sunoh... 1. He's arrogant. He knows he's good looking and thinks everyone should fall in love with him 2. He's toxic and abusive he forces himself on jojo, kisses her and drags her every where, yells at her because she doesn't say or do things that he wants to hear (early signs of abusive relationships, advice for all the young children watching this) 3. He uses his home situation to make him seem like a poor sympathetic person who has such a bad life.. well duh boy you're rich... you can still survive. Not just that he uses it as an excuse to manipulate jojo. 4. He is a stalker! There is no purpose or reason why he should like, let alone love jojo... he finds out his best friend likes some girl, so he stalks her and then bam, he likes her???

I only continued watching this because I really liked jojo's character and I wanted her to have better. Hoping she would end up with Hyeyoung. But the drama ended at a cliffhanger. So I waited years just to find out if she grew up and made the right decision.

I totally loved this season. 1. It showed the flaws of technology/ apps 2. It shows that people become handicapped once the app was invented and people cannot make decisions or doubt their feelings based on the app. 3. It shows that if you love someone, you don't need validation 4. It shows true love is patient and not doubtful through Hyeyoung

This season topped my list of favourite dramas to watch. I would totally recommend people to directly watch this season if they don't wanna watch the first season. There is no loopholes plus they make enough indications of the past that you don't really need to watch the first season. But if you want to watch the growth of the characters, watching the first season will explain why I hated it so much.

Overall Love Alarm season 2 get a whopping 8.5/10 from me :)

I didn't like how first half of s1 was built around jojo and sunoh and then they just dropped it and they didn't have anything after it till end. They really had chemistry and for me the best and the cutest moments. I think writers didn't thought that sunoh and jojo would get that much love from watchers since it didn't get what they would have to offer. When it comes to Hye Young and Jojo story separately it was logic, cute and realistic. I just hate the feeling that I didn't watch a same show anymore.

the endgame wasn't bad. Im not mad because the couples were cute and so was their stories. The problem was still for me, my bitterness because of how sunoh and jojos story ended so fast and sadly I couldn't see the same chemistry anymore with jojo & Hye young and sunoh & Yuk Jo.

After all it still broke me and even if I someday want to watch it again I will not. I miss Jojo and Sunoh moments little too much.

The storyline isn’t bad as it gives way to the reality that is known to most us but one must agree, no matter how you disagree that if the tables are turned and Sunho was given the chance he seeks, he would have given the same amount of love, care, understanding and respect as Hye Young.

I rooted for Sunho not because of his looks but because of how the story started and ended in Season 1. Season 2 made me feel disconsolate, not because of Jojo and Hye Young but how they left Sunho’s character in an unfavourable state.

And using volitional love is just overkill but hey what is drama without the surprises. It sure is a love it or hate it and that my friends I leave to you ?

It was a beautiful way to reconnect with her inner child. On the other hand, I don't like the way they externalized her conflits. Her non-kissing relationship with Hye Young is pretty weird for me. The whole story with the shield was nice in the first season, but it seems very different here. Actually, the real problem is the expectation that was created at the end of season 1. I was eager to see Sun O discovering about the shield. But what I found out in season 2 was a Jo Jo in love with Hye Young after 4 years, and that's it. The love triangle from season 1 is a couple from the beginning in season 2. I think I needed more time to say goodbye to the JoJo and Sun O ship. :(

But the plot and story line feel like keep repeating the same thing. The way they tried to shift the chemistry from Jo Jo and Sun O to Jo Jo and Hye Young is lacking in various way. The chemistry isn't there. There is no even once any heart fluttering moment. The storyline seems flat and nothing to be excited about. Season 2 has so many wrong in it. I didn't mind if the end game would be Sun O or Hye Young. I am rooting for both as long as it is happy ending. But the plot did not do the justice that it should. However, I still suggest everyone to watch it for the sake of the Actor and Actress not for the plot.

Finally the second lead won the game! Hye young definitely got a yes from me, he is the real man yo. At first I was thinking that Jojo's feeling for Hye young is kind of pitty, but not at all. At the end Jojo just realized the one who is always by her side, love her unconditionally, willing to sacrifice, respect for her feeling and decisions is Hye Young. He deserves all the love and happiness.

Things I didn't like:

Well, I'm Team SunJo, so obviously, I didn't like that Jojo ended up with Hye Young. But sad as I am, at the end of the day, I'm just really happy that Jojo has her happy ending, girl went through A LOT of shit, she deserves to be happy
The ending with Sun Oh and Yuk Jo. Look, Yuk Jo is a nice girl, but I will never buy Sun Oh eventually falling in love with her. Sun Oh is MADLY in love with Jojo, Yuk Jo was right when she said he will probably never get over Jojo, so in my opinion, if ever he falls for another girl again, it should be someone that makes him feel really strong emotions like how Jojo made him feel in the past. I'm sorry, this is just my opinion so don't come for me, but I just don't buy Sun Oh-Yuk Jo pairing. I think he just wants someone to run to.
Park Gul Mi is still a super annoying character to me, and she didn't have any character development but still got rewarded for her behavior. I didn't like that at all.

So yeah, still a really good drama, but the ending wasn't completely satisfying to me. Again, just my opinion so don't come for me!

Kim Jojo & Sun Oh were seriously true love at first sight. Mutual feelings from scratch one. What did you have in mind when choosing Hye Yeong to be her choice? I know that some say that Hye Yeong had feelings for her first, but it was only from his side. They would see each other almost every day talk a little as well & even work together for literally years, but even so she never even had a single thought about him. It is like she did not even knew his existance until she met Sun Oh & learned about him as his best friend. But she only saw & Always see, Sun Oh in her eyes. She even told so, to both of them that no matter what, she would never love a person the way she loved Sun Oh. So even ending up with Hye that would be the worst & not logic choice. Even if that was someone’s life’s true script, that would cause chaos forever.

Hye & Sun Oh are more than friends, they are family. How would they even stay in each others life or continue their friendship when the feelings never truly fade away. They would forever live in a lie and full of fake actings. Even though they would try to or just think they “moved on” and that they would cooperate for their relationships to work, such as their both friendship and lovelifes, that would be the worst moment for all of them. It only takes a right, even a wrong second for Kim Jojo & Sun Oh to actually and eventually admit their feelings again. True feelings can only & just fade away. Not disappear. What may be fade, can always be painted again. But when something disappears, it needs God’s will to be back again. What they had, even short, was the most strong and common truth in this fake & hard past and now reality they live. Full of fake people but most of, full of fake moments with the worst of those fake moments, straight into their ”homes”.

Kim Jojo needs Sun Oh as Sun Oh needs Kim Jojo so to go through life. And we have seen how damn much happy they are when they are together. You can not leave the past back and go through it by being next to the same people that caused you the damage. And in their case what’s better than fighting all these next to someone who have mutual and common past. That is a blessing people, trust me. Hye Yeong should understand that he missed his chance somehow when he never was forward all these years. Sun Oh asked him more than once if he had feelings for Kim Jojo, from the beginning. And he never admitted it. He kinda let all that happen! What kind of a guy or a man would let his love straight into someone else’s arms & heart? He should have been straight! Shouldn’t he? No fear lets you lose someone you accuse you are in love with. He kinda betrayed his friend, his family, his brother but worst his own words when saying he would be next to Sun Oh forever after knowing what he goes through everyday for so many years. No matter the years Sun Oh will never stop loving or forget Kim Jojo, something proved when although 4 years passed, he still had the exact same feelings for Jojo. Even though he lost his self again, even though he lost the smile he knows he will never get the same back again, when away from her & being lost, he doesn’t care, can’t and don’t truly want to let her go away from his heart & mind.

Hue Yeong should understand the situation & move on. First with his self & then with life. He is a good guy. He deserves the best but not someone else’s best. I can say so much more

But,

Dear netflix/webtoon script writer or whatever, please do not disturb the natural flow of things. Even though this might be just a story, you do not want to leave people, maybe total strangers for you, with bad feeling & worst,with wrong messages!

If I remember correctly, sun oh followed her like 1 time. hye-yeong, on the other hand, follows her to the bus, and i'm not sure when exactly he got his job but it seems like he got that job to be close to her. He also leaves things for her to find because he knows where she goes, which is creepy if you ask me. That's literally the definition of stalkers, following and leaving gifts for them. And sun-oh kissing her was not creepy. They were both thinking it since that was the mood and it's not like he forced her into it since she didn't turn away. You should really look up what creepy means. Just because she had a boyfriend and he kissed her doesn't mean it's creepy because you could tell she wanted to kiss him too. It's only creepy if she was forced into it.

I see lots of comments of how people only see Sun-Oh as a spoiled rich boy who stole his BFF's lover. Although his life story doesn't have much screen but you can see he is a broken person looking to be loved. His family seems to be selfish and too busy to see that a young man needs the unconditional love from both parents. This shows that all the money in the world will not make you happy. He see's the love that Hye-Young receives from his mom and wants that unconditional love and be noticed. The one person that noticed him was Jojo (it was like loved at first sight), which made him curious of her. I don't believe that it's because he was rich and just wanted everything that Hye-Young liked. It's just a feeling you get, it's not like he snuck behind his BFF back. He was straight forward and ask Hye-Young if he had liked Jojo and he could not respond and they agreed to see who Jojo loves and respect her opinion. Sun-Oh always communicated well with Hye-Young and respect him. Sun-Oh and Jojo were both broken inside and out but their feelings for one another were genuine. Their love comfort one another. Jojo saw how tough a life Sun-Oh would have being with her so she tried to protecting him by letting him go but end up hurting each other deeply. I truly want to see their love really bloom. But I also feel bad for Hye-Young, he developed feelings for Jojo for a long time and finally tried to act upon it. But couldn't come to terms with admitting his feelings. He really cherished Jojo and was given a chance to admit his feelings to her. But by that time, she is still not over Sun-Oh, well she never was. It was tough for her to accept Hye-Young feelings and she was willing to try but told him she doesn't want to be hurt or hurt anyone anymore. He is a sweet patient loving young man and I want the best for him, but I still would like to see where Jojo and Sun-Oh lead to. Which made this drama more interesting. And most importantly I can't wait to see who the developer of Love Alarm is and can't wait to see her cousin pay her back, what a little snake!

IF Jul 03 2020 10:33 am Tbvh, this story line is great. It's not the usual Kdrama story line. Sure we have the usual love triangle but something so unique about this drama is how Sun Ho doesn't feign his feelings for Jo Jo. He's outright about it, even from the beginning and I'm sure that's what captured audiences. The striking and obviously daring personality that Sun Oh showed is enough to get anyone hooked. Hye Hyeong on the other hand isn't as striking as Sun Oh and his inability to speak up about how he feels makes his tragic flaw. If you watch kdramas a lot and you watch closely, every second lead male has that same tragic flaw. They are too concerned about the happiness and the wants of the female lead to really exert their own feelings on them. Although commendable, isn't what the girl needs. I'd say that this drama shouldn't follow the webtoon. If it did then it'd be really disappointing. Jojo and Sun oh deserve to be together. Sucks for Hye Hyeong but I'd really like to see more of Jojo and Sun Oh. Together.

Just want to share my opinion that from the starting we saw that Hye Young used to follow Jojo but he could never muster up his courage to tell her while Sun Oh eventually fell for Jojo thinking she was a cheerful person. He also kissed her knowing his friend liked her already but technically Jojo was somebody else’s girlfriend and he took up the courage and was even ready to get beaten up by his then bf. Apart from that he also won the fare game with Hye Young as Jojo rang his love alarm and not Hye Young’s. In the mid part of the story we saw Hye Young got inspired from some guy and left his love alarm on so that she comes to know about his feeling. I don’t blame Hye Young for this may be he just wanted to get rid of his long term crush on Jojo but technically he did wrong with his best friend. Anyway when Jojo and Sun Oh drifted apart because of the accident and her fear Sun Oh always kept his love alarm on just to show her how his feeling changes for her but every time he passed by her it rang her love alarm till the end of story. Also Hye Young didn’t keep following her until one day when he came to know that she worked in a wedding hall something then he again started following her and finally confessed. The last thing we saw that Jojo updated a pic of girl surrounded by flowers but then I don’t know if we can say that she started feeling for Hye Young already. We also saw that she looked up Sun Ho’s gf and I think she wouldn’t do this if didn’t care about Sun Ho anymore. This is why I am kinda biased towards Sun Ho and if Jojo ends up with Hye Young it will be outta nowhere.

Despite the name of Love Alarm, it doesnt show true love, rewatch the series if it's not clear, but even its developer is against its use.

Like I was literally shouting at him because I'm too annoyed that he's not doing anything. I am pissed off with how the story ends up with too much Sun-oh and Jojo content. I actually stopped with Episode 5 and searched about the end of this drama, if I read that it a no hope for Hye-young I will really stop watching it. But yeah! I've read from others that it was a cliff-hanger ending, and that Hye-young did have an chance in the end. And guess what, I was crying the whole time Hye-young was hitting on Jojo. Like I'm a proud sister of his, I've been cheering on him and I was happy I watched this until the end because I was able to see the most heart-touching part of the series. Yeah! The bike scene of Hye-young was the most relevant part of this series and his long period of waiting makes me cherish him more during the bike scene. And this is what I'm looking forward for the next season. Hye-young fighting. By the way, I ended up becoming a solid fan of Jung Ga Ram, he is also the Jjong-bie of the movie entitled "Odd Family: Zombie on Sale". He is so funny in the movie. Yeah aside from replaying Hye-young scenes from Love Alarm season 1 and aside from listening to OSTs, I watched Jung Ga Ram movies and other dramas while waiting. Let's go team Hye-young!!!

But I would like the love story to be introduced/developed in a very heartfelt way just like that of season 1, and for that to happen we still need the Sun-oh character. I would also want to see how the story goes for Duk-gu and the app. I'd also want Jojo to discover that Hye-young was the link between her and Sun-oh because Hye-young liked her first!
