She keeps showing up in the dramas I've been watching lately and I am so impressed by her range. She plays a wide range of characters, from digified court ladies, to incarnations of God in the body of a homeless woman, to terrible small town gossips and yet manages to add in some amusing quirky traits that make her stand out. I have paused in some of the dramas I've seen her in and wondered for a moment why I recognise her. She's quickly becoming one of those actors for me that I see and think "of course she's in this too!" There aren't a lot of them, but there are some actors that I sometimes swear are in eeevvvvverrrrryyyyy thing. She's quickly becoming one of them. I really enjoy seeing her in the dramas she appears in, even when I don't particularly enjoy the drama itself. Cha Chung-hwa always brings a top tier performance to the table and leaves a memorable impression no matter what character she's playing. She's very versatile but I definitely love seeing her in comedic roles. I thought her portrayal of the exasperated but kind-hearted Court Lady Choi in Mr. Queen was especially entertaining!!! But later on episode 8 around 1:09:00 scene where it shows her back story. I felt the pain seeing the heart scatter scene where she lost her daughter. Definitely a top-level actress.
