This year also posed his first in increased social and public appearances, which is quite a feat for this shy guy. He is a genius actor, pure, focused, lovely, even when he's gritty. Can't wait for his future dramas and movies!!! He's so worth the casting!

It would be interesting to see him acting as a father with 3 small children, or as a Catholic Priest, or as a lady in the male body, or as a Chef or any other role he hasn't been exposed to.

But watched his superb acting skill ini the latest series, just made me me whoooooaaaaa! Especially in episode 15, when he expressed his turbulence emotion. He acted with his soul and it reflects in his eyes, body gestures and voice. I hold my breath when watch the "d" scene.

I wish the k drama industry will notice him more with his great abilities and genuine persona.

I am just so happy to have discovered this actor. He is splendid in My Sweet Mobster portraying his role to perfection. His good looks, his voice and his acting make it so hard not to fall for him. Ross Oct 03 2021 11:00 am I first noticed him in Veteran. He had a supporting role then but the sparring scene with Yoo Ah In made me think he'd be perfect as a lead in an action film. He doesn't have the "conventional" handsome face but he's still very handsome and his overall "aura" is very appealing. I'm glad he finally had a big role in Night in Paradise. He's a very good actor and he looks like he has a lot of range. He has a generally kind face but his look in Vanishing Time convinced me that he could also play a psycho.

Uhm Taegoo really is one of a kind actor and i also think he deserves more spotlight. Sometimes i wonder why he's not an A-List actor yet. With his superb acting, he should've been one of them rn :(

I also wanna see him in a romance drama :( romcom would be really nice haha. His chemistry with the female costars in Trivial Matters and Save Me 2 is so good and cute :( I hope after Hometown you'll get a romance project, with my fav actress i hope haha.

I think he's already pretty known in SK, but I hope this year, 2021, he will gain more success and recognition, nationally and internationally. I'm rooting for you, actor Uhm Tae Goo!

Highly Underrated (Main Role worthy & nothing less). 1st time seeing him was in Age of Shadows then I was completely sold with Save Me 2 + Night in Paradise + House on Wheels (variety show). I really want to see him play a character in a series that shows off his shy/introverted/funny personality that I see in interviews, etc. AND a really dramatic melodrama haha like "Kill Me, Heal Me" or "Just Between Lovers" vibes.

I didn't notice his voice when acting, just knew it on some comments I've read. He and female lead have chemistry! Like to see them both again on a series. The female lead's swag on that restaurant scene though. So cool!

I had to immediately google him and watch other shows/movies he was in. He deserves to be in the spotlight so much. He is not one of those mainstream actors. Everything about him is so unique and he makes you watch him so intensely !! His looks, voice, physique is just not something you see in everyday shows/movies. I guess that is why he is such a gem.

Tanya Jun 13 2019 7:03 am Um Tae Goo's acting in Save Me 2 is phenomenal, it's not something you would see from other actors who get to have a tough guy's role in a drama. I was deeply moved by his unique and terrifying aura. Although SM2 has not released all the episodes just yet, UTG has already killed it in my opinion.
