My husband and I refer to her as the Secret Garden Mom whenever we see her. Loved her in Laurel Tailors -- funny funny funny and I'm loving her in Two Mothers -- completely different type of role. Very good at selecting roles that fit her age and personality -- OOPS - Emergency Couple -- let me not forget her iconic role as another mean ass mother in law. I still am trying to understand the cultural thinking of mother'-in-laws and family that treat adult children like personal property as opposed to human beings of free choice and will. Good luck in finding roles that suit you and allow you to shine.

In every drama I've seen her in she was always so evil so it was such a pleasant surprise to see her being so adorably dramatic and high-freakin-larious in Wolgyesu. Hats off to her.

She can be funny, cute, annoying and wicked figures but I can't stop loving her fabulous and glamorous styles. I'm very sure she was a very beautiful lady in her young times. Wish I can find and watch some of her old classic Kdramas. I cant compare her with other ahjummas figures because she is the most elegant and gorgeous, that's why she always portrays as a wealthy mother or aunty.

koviak Mar 18 2015 9:35 pm Decided to read further about Jun Keum and was surprised, ans laughed a bit, at the comments, how they mirrored my thoughts. I initially thought her wardrobe in Rooftop Prince was a bit odd, because I felt that the show didnt give any reason for her character to "be" like that. I did think she was cute, just felt the show lost a bit of continuity in that aspect. And she is cute. She is somewhere in her fifties, and I imagine many women would love to have a body like hers at that age. Im a guy in my early thirties, and totally appreciate "older" woman like Park Jun Keum. Though even I wrote it, i get a bit annoyed at reading about an actresses age, as a qualifying statistic; "Shes older, but still looks great". Shit like that. She looks good, that is that, IMO. It would be nice to see her in other roles. Right now in the Korean Wave they are doing the same thing Hollywood does: they'll milk an idea for all its worth, to the death. As much as I like Korean drama's, I also dislike their relatively cookie-cutter like script writing. At the same time, I do understand how its reflecting current Korean culture. For example, Im sick of the typical: two sons of a chaebol, who are against each other. Variations on a theme. And they are marketing talent unto the ground, just to make a few more bucks, or won. Now this comment isnt about Lee Min Ho, but my mother likes him, and I enjoy the shows hes in, but hes a classic example of this. Theyre pushing his icon status way far, and once people egt sick of it, theyll drop it, and move on to the next guy. In any case, Park Jun Keum is cool. Pretty, really pretty, and a good actor. Her characters piss me off so much, Ill be yelling at the television screen, all the while appreciating her skill at getting these responses out of me [dont wathc a whole lot of tv]. And yeh, the people commenting that she is "bad" in some way, are pretty ignorant, its laughable. Dont need to spend any time on them. keep up the great work!

Why don't you try finding better ways to spend your time than just slandering a talented, and popular actress who has done your no personal harm. Her list of credits is enough to show that she is well-respected, and highly valued within the industry. Your use of multiple screen names, written in the same manner, including the same negative sentiments, is proof that you may be becoming obsessed in an unhealthy pursuit.

You need to study acting for a few more semesters in order to be able to spot talent. This lady is one of the best that there is. She doesn't need to "learn to act", other actors learn from her.

The first time i saw you in a mellow / slightly less confrontational role was as Do Do-Hee in One Hundred Year Inhertance... i loved the character! This is another one of the senior actors that, when I scan down the list of players and see her name included in the cast, I know that I'll be tuning in to watch. I've found her memorable in every single drama that I've seen her play in. All ball of fire, and raw emotion, exploding out of such a tiny person. She's really amazing!!

My wife and I, watching her since Secret Garden, and we laughed and cried watching that one....well, me anyway...Emergency Couple is one that we're viewing now. Especially liked the scene where the two mothers went at it in the hospital ER. And the son just picks her up....LOL!!!!

Mimi Mar 15 2014 8:48 am they need to cast her in nice roles, why is it always mean, it makes easily influenced people not like her, and it can potentialy make korean dramas look like they are all the same (especialy when storylines in korean drama with two female leads and two male leads are almost repeated in every drama you watch), now they cast a single person as the mean mother inlaw in every drama she acts in. but she is funny though!

She is very hateful, cruel, disgusting, annoying, and so evil in all the dramas I watch when she's in. I extremely dislike her character in dramas, but other than that, she's a great actress. She must be a truly nice person in real life to get cast so many times, but honestly, I hate the characters she plays so much, that I can't stand watching her. I have to see what shows she's in so I don't watch those shows. Unfortunately, she's usually paired with my favorite lead males, Choi Jin Huyk, for instance, so if I want to get an eye candy fix, I must suffer through her rants and raves. OMG, in Emergency Couple, I wanted her husband to just drown her in the ocean while he was fishing.

Linus May 27 2013 2:28 pm I don't know what these haters are seeing, but I really enjoy seeing this actress at work! It takes great skill to be able to dredge up such emotion and vitriol from an audience. You can't get a good drama off of the ground unless you have a few slimy snakes in the grass. She plays these characters to the hilt and is nutty, funny and cute in her 'teenager who refuses to grow up' persona. What's more, she's most likely a whole lot more attractive than many of those calling her "ugly". She is not conventionally pretty, but she's a far cry from being "ugly". Try being over fifty and still maintaining a figure like this woman. The world we presently live in has very few females who can still fit into their wedding dresses and a whole lot less who have anywhere near the talents of Park Jun-Keum...;)

If she portrays her characters so well you hate her then she is doing a very good job indeed.

How ignorant can you two be? You guys use vulgar language against her because of the character she played in Secret Garden. That language is not a reason to bash her herself. If shes making you guys that angry because of her character, she did a great job acting in that drama.
