Joan Feb 06 2022 9:32 am Watched this for T-ara's Ham Eunjung and fell in love with the drama and the cast. It's easily my favorite heartwarming family drama that I have since re-watched it multiple times. All of the actresses/actors had amazing chemistry with each other. I really hope there will be a sequel or at least a new drama that as equally heartwarming with the same cast.

Also, congratulations to Ham Eunjung and Ryu Jin for winning an award in KBS Drama award 2021.

AJ Jan 03 2022 2:38 am Congratulations to Ryu Jin for winning the "Best Actor in Daily Drama" category in 2021 KBS Drama Award, and as a sole-winner too. Congratulations as well to Ham Eun-Jung for her joint-award in the "Supporting Actress" category.

But I find it weird that neither Park Jun-Keum nor Park Tam-Hee won the "Best Actress in Daily Drama" category -- not even as joint-winners. Surely they, particularly Park Jun-Keum, deserves it more than the lead actresses from "Red Shoes" and "The All-Round Wife"??

kdramafan Oct 11 2021 10:28 am epi 120 final epi am with the general consensus that this was a very good drama with pure plain and simple occurrences of everyday life no need for gimmicks big revenges slush funds paper companies no need for people pulling off oxygen masks to comatose people to let them choke to death or the most classic babies swapped at the maternity clinic no need for all of them to make a drama successful and this one came with lots of humorous instances which reminded me of the old sitcoms without the background laughs I can only guess that the dir was behind of all the funny jokes so my praises especially the fight at the café rolling all over the floor am still watching it once in a while cz it is just so hilarious i liked all the romance stories 2 or 3 more than the others but still very well done all of them my final ratings 8.5/10

Not as captivating as "Brilliant Heritage", whose storyline was more out-of-the-box, and which was powered by the ever-majestic Park In-Hwan; but still considerably better than its direct predecessor ("No Matter What").

Kris Oct 04 2021 8:05 am Liked the charity focus. They showed the dad who was grumpy helping out the seniors getting their stuff to recycling center, actually adding to their income secretly. Maybe it was the translation but I thought the seed money was a bit odd. They took their savings to pay back the mom, which I liked by the way they followed up that storyline, for the car incident to start this gesture. I think they should have just started it with a portion of the income from Daddy’s. They paid attention to the issues of seniors in the country and the seniors raising grandkids not just with the lunchboxes but also with that senior security guard raising his grandkid and caring for his wife with dementia. I also liked seeing the publishing company employees gather to do volunteer work as well. The examples of individual and work place volunteering and donations was a new thing to see.

The only reason the kid wants them together is she would not let him see dad for years. And he didn’t see her when he was with him. It sounds like the whole thing was just to teach him a lesson by abandoning him with the ex husband. The entire storyline doesn’t make sense.

kdramafan Sep 21 2021 5:11 am Epi 110 wow wow what a great epi it was all grief grief grief and repentance repentance all The family stricken by grief cz ms kang the heroine of this drama is fighting for her life in the surgery table and am sure the writer will save her in the end cz there wont be any meaning for this wonderful drama if she died she healed all the people that came across with her especially father with his violent behavior and sangu with her pep talk about unsharpened pencils and huge arrows and the last scene were sad and joyous for me with the message that only god can grant repentance and nobody else so the old man was sitting alone in that chapel pleading to take him and his bad behavior instead of the angel ms kang that piece of acting was superb and left me very impressed ok 10 more epi left and looking forward for a happy finale and lots of smiles

After all, performance of leading actors in both "Miss Monte-Cristo" and "Red Shoes" are considerably weaker. Unless the upcoming "Gangnam Mom" has someone up its sleeves.

In this show there is an empty house and empty studio. How many properties are empty? Seems like a waste no one is even renting those places on Airbnb or 2 year lease. Or some sort of share house like My Golden Life.

Not only the woman begging for more time and the pain to go away now the same thing during the ambulance rush to the hospital where he finally calls her mother. Ruins the mood of the show. I feel bad her and her new husband didn’t get some good times together. And they didn’t register the marriage.

Joey Sep 10 2021 3:41 pm This show needs a new editor. An episode that ends with a dying woman begging God for more time and to make her pain go away should not end with that stupid, whimsical song. It's so inconsistent. There are some episodes that avoid that ending song, but the most important ones, like today's, have this nonsense. It's okay for an ending to be sad and the viewer to walk away sad, we don't need that song to try to undercut it.

kdramafan Sep 01 2021 9:01 am epi 97 i will stop watching if daddys restaurant is not a huge success i mean it cz it will be unbearable to see minah appas sad face for the next 20 epi im serious hahahaha this epi was great with a flurry of declarations of love very heartwarming i think this writer has no idea how to drag epis cz i havent seen one yet omg omg theres only a hand full of epis left and it all looks like the ending will be a happy one with a pretty pretty baby being born in honey jar and a couple of weddings i guess looking forward

AJ Aug 30 2021 8:33 pm For sure, it provides the closure for Kang Mo-Ran, Han Geu-Ru and Han Da-Bal, with regards to relationship with Mo-Ran's ex-husband / the sisters' biological father.

Geum Sang-Baek is a tender-hearted and compassionate person (if not a bit too naive), as well as a good husband and father. Hope he gets his break in his latest business venture.

kdramafan Aug 30 2021 3:45 am I love mini and sangu story cz its so real I think the writer was trying to depict with this story how men can hurt women without knowingly of course but then the damage its already done I think the problem with sangu was that he treated women the way he treated man and that’s a no no cz woman are super sensitive and super delicate you can never talk to woman the way you talk to men rough despotic prepotently etc if you do that then women will cry all day omg omg hahahaha I think sangu acted like this cz he lost his mom early on and with this he lost the opportunity to learn about women from the inside cz he loved his mom very much he never had aunties granmas housekeepers around the house when he was growing up that somehow could’ve learn form them all he had was a violent dad and indifferent brothers so I think this had a lot to do with how he treated poor mini who paid for all the broken dishes hahahahaha I think sangu is starting to reflect on this and hopefully act accordingly one day which will make mini so happy by the way the writer put another story total opposite to this the doc and her ex hubby he was ideally the way anybody will want sangu to treat mini from the beginning he understood and knew how to treat women softly he was a soft talker warm lovingly that made the doc feel like a real woman but what he was a scammer that one Day took off with all the doc money omg omg Still theres much left within this drama the sad story of ms kang and how her husband is so devastated by this the story of the siblings and there strange dad geuru and si woon sanmin and gaeuna minah heoni and the baby in seo and his carvings jiwan and dabala sol and yijae And so and so forth looking forward for new epi

I have been enjoying this drama, every episode.

I feel like the cancer storyline has disrupted the flow of the drama. It was enough for the girls to lose one parent, but now they could lose another? Why inflict back to back pain and heartbreak on these characters?

Hoping we don't get a sad ending, but I can see that happening now :(

kdramafan Aug 23 2021 4:59 pm Epi 90 after a long brake like a month or so is great to be back to my dream family enjoyed very much the Olympics didn’t expect it cz covid had ruin everything for me and the whole world I guess something　so disruptive like ive never seen before in my life for the last year and a half the Olympics was a huge break very refreshing which made me forget about the painful social distance face mask lock downs ｓmelly alcohol etc this epi was great am with mini all the way and I just want to punch that sangu bastard like ms kang told him that when he says something to anybody is like throwing an unsharpened pencil to them but for the people that got hit is like a huge arrow that leave them bleeding it really hurts she told him that this is what he is being doing to mini for the last 20 years so he needs to change that and apologize but he still thinks that he did nothing wrong omg omg meanwhile at dinner the therapist was telling minah appa with a big smile in her face that he should be doing the house chores as usual that he shouldn’t be worrying about nothing else and also told in seo to help dad with the cooking then minah appa got a huge smile in his face thinking that the therapist understood his pleading and let him do the restaurant investment but the smart seoul university student minah seeing a potential big problem here said that in school in the Korean language classes sometimes they give you essays with a hidden message that you need to find it and solve it that in this case what mom said in her hidden message is that dad should stay home just do the chores and forget about the restaurant project then dad and in seo said no no no she said that I can go ahead with restaurant investment then the other smart university student heoni said yes the hidden message was that dad should forget about the restaurant but still dad and in seo were sooooooooooo clueless about the hidden Message omg omg omg this was so hilarious just by looking at dads face is incredible funny then the last scene was so sad when dabala and geuru all in black were mourning their bio dad a complete new twist of the plot and looking forward to find out the dads story praises to the writer yesssss last i think dabala will start having feelings for jiwan after the empathy he shown for her deceased dad i hope they will end up together

The kid versions of the actresses with the flashbacks? The annoying manager at the publishing company? There will probably be flashbacks to the mom who died, perhaps her?

As the result, we have an enjoyable, stress-free daily family drama (unlike "No Matter What", in which some of the characters would not look out of place in scandal-themed or revenge-themed dailies) -- although the overall premise is not as 'out-of-the-box' and engaging as that of "Brilliant Heritage".

Breakfast together, go to work, the struggles, bit conflict yet still respect to each other..and few romance. Haopy to see the father has change on his treatment to his 3 sons. But the eldest son's wife is getting me annoyed. She's acting like the whole world burden is on her shoulder. Hardly to see her smile. I am looking forward to the youngest son life development actually..he has a dream to catch which is art..and has support from the girl and the family. So far.mit's a good drama. Well done.

I cannot wait for her appearance, she is so delightful to watch. Actress Joo Da Young/Joo Ah Reum as Min Gae Eun and Actress Wang Ji Hye as Han Geu Roo are worth mentioning too. They look natural in their performance. This is a drama that does not make viewers stressful, no evil person to dislike. They are all likeable in their own way.

kdramafan Jun 17 2021 3:28 pm epi 48 yes i liked this epi when geuroo started talking sadly about her one sided love 10 years ago in college when she was a freshman she met jiwan when she joined the intramural club where he was a senior and well respected sort of a leader she fell for him really bad that is lasting until today but jiwan wasnt interested at all omg what a twist of destiny meanwhile listening to this sad story was si woon they were same year classmates he has a big crush on geu roo but can not confess cz he knows she is still madly in love with jiwan omg poor guy on the other hand the karateka martial arts expert and teacher dabal geuroos younger sister is doing marvels with jiwan son yijae who is suffering a trauma due to his mother death at an age where a boy needs his mother the most but he is coming out of his shell bit by bit cz dabal and her daughter sol are very outgoing and affectionate and they are classmates seeing this good changes in yijae jiwan started getting a lot of respect for dabal and subseqiently getting in love with her but dabal who lost her husband in a freaky and traumatic accident is not ready for a new love not just yet but i think jiwan has the hots for her already which is gonna create problems between the sisters geuroo and dabal another big love quadrilateral is forming here hahahahahaha looking forward for next epis

There's so many things going on, many potential who-will-end-up-with-who relationships, funny scenes, and tears: Ga-Eun's break-up scenes and her crying are the most heartwrenching scenes, wow. I'm enjoying all cast, would love to comment on each, they're all intriguing, but will take too long, suffice to say "very entertaining show, great work"!
