Tristan Nov 15 2022 1:33 am I first know her in "Asuka" (1999) an asadora not listed above. It was some kind of effort by local Indonesian TV to ride the popular wave of "Oshin". I'm hooked on her after Asuka. I really enjoy "Sanadamaru", too not listed above.

Now is November 2022. I just finished re-watching "The Long Goodbye" (2019). Just want to look up the Net for its review and I came across the news that she already passed away end of 2020.

Innaa liLlahi wa innaa ilaiHi rajiuun... I really miss my Asuka!

May her children grow up and become good men, and still honor their Mom.

You can call me dramatic but I can't ever watch a drama/ movie knowing this person I'm looking at now has died in this way. My head just fills up with questions like "I wonder what she felt then?" "What has she been going through?" "Was it because of this?" But I'll continue to love and appreciate her legacy, her acting skills, and the smile she had.

Danny Dec 29 2020 1:02 am She is a wonderful actress! Her smile always made me cheerful, and I'd watch a lot of Japanese dramas and movies she appeared in and loved her acting. I loved watching her played Sherlock, she was witty and entertaining. It's sad that she is gone. I will miss her greatly, along with a few great celebrities who passed on this year.

I'd also been watching NHK Taiga Drama Sanada Maru, but it's not listed here, she played Chacha, Toyotomi Hideyoshi's concubine.

Suddenly, she suicided. I was so shock and sad. Since then I have been watching her old dramas and movies everyday, to meet her, because it's the only way to meet her. Yuko, may you have peace on heaven.

I still find it hard and difficult to believe this, my Scandal Lawyer Queen. I read, and read, and slowly read your name again and again, in hoping i got it wrong like, "Oh, maybe its not that Yuko, maybe its Youko or Yuuko, or Takechi something.", but no.

I quickly googled your name instantly, just your name, just "Yuko Takeuchi" and all the sad news popped out all over the place. Why, Yuko-san, why. Why do you had to go like this ?? You were so bright and brilliant in all your work; you are an icon yourself in the industry, and you're so beautiful in your own very ways (especially your smile, your warm and addictive smile).

We may never know what went through your mind, your life and the weight you carried and fought through your inner struggle. But i know, its so painful you had to go like this. But whatever it is, i hope you found your peace even if it broke our hearts.

A mother of two, you recently gave birth to a baby boy this January. Your husband found your body hanging, God only knows the pain. I pray for comfort and healing in their hearts.
