Elvera Aug 29 2023 7:47 am I'm not too familiar with this actor but I will be from now on this is some of the best performing that I have ever seen in all of my years of watching quality series or movies. Actually, all of the leading cast are spectacular as always. This is such an adult deep drama dealing with so much of the human emotion. I have enjoyed this so very very much and I want to thank the writer, director producers and the full cast, it has been a pleasure.

At times I feel the real you comes through. You are very young in spirit. I'm really enjoying the humour. Well written and great choice of actor for this series. Can I respectfully suggest a change in translation?I understand the meaning will be lost when translating to English. Perhaps more than one word is needed. I don't speak Korean unfortunately, but watching the series suggests compassionate, warmhearted, understanding. I know romantic sums up these words. Unfortunately, the word romantic has come to suggest shallow romance or infatuation. What Han Sum Kyu portrayed is very far from shallow. I nearly didn't watch because of the title. I'm glad I finally did. I have a soft place for hospital drama and the underdog. Well done again on portraying this character so well. That fatherly touch reminded me of my husband with my children and my Dad, who was so like this character in many ways.

Nov 11 2020 1:13 am Perhaps a season about Doldam no longer just a countryside hospital and Dr Kim & Team maneuvering hospital politics in a bigger, more recognised national Trauma Centre. And actually establishing a sustainable system that doesn't become a toxic environment for doctors.

Han Suk Kyu deserves Best Actor for 2012 Baeksang Oct 20 2020 3:54 am His performance in Tree with Deep Roots was really phenomental. He should have won best actor in 2012 Baeksang (I saw the winner's performance and it did not deserve to win against Han Sukkyu for me).

I had to find out more about you in hopes you are in more movies. This drama was more than I expected. Just makes me wonder how true the story line is. Great writing and the other actors/actresses made this an award winning drama. If it doesn't win, there is politics involved because it is very good!

Though he had much sorrow he was also surrounded by superb people, his friends. I said to myself, wow, a king who makes an impossible dream come true together with friends who in turn love him not as a king but as a person, not the least his son the prince. KimKas Apr 08 2013 6:14 am Fearsome, an absolute monster. He puts a lot of good actors in the shade with his range of expressions, his presence, the depth he brings in his role. Him playing King Sejong in Tree with Deep Roots was out of this world, he made the drama STELLAR, when it was already going to be quite good. I'll say he is the best actor currently operating in the Korean film/drama industry.
