Every time I see her perform, she's playing a completely different role. And every single time she nails it! Charisma and believably plus. You are right on @'Tanglefoot'. She's another Kim Hye-ok. Completely dominant whenever she appears. I am a fan!!!

She's one of those actors/actresses who make me anticipate her appearance and hold my attention regardless of whomever else is sharing the screen with her. Nuanced and highly believable, she reminds me of the great Kim Hye-ok, another veteran actress also dominates the proceedings whenever they include her...

Cadwalider Apr 03 2013 11:40 am Currently, this actress is my favorite character (after 'Eugene', of course!) in 'Hundred Year's Inheritance' (which needs to be listed amongst her credits here!) as she is such a thorn in the evil ex-mother-in-law's side and will give both the ex-mil and her wimpy kid a measure of justice and comeuppance for all of the terrible crimes that they committed against 'Chae-won' (Eugene) in that series.

P.S. I agree with those poo-pooing @belinda's absurd assessments regarding Shim Yi Young's physical attractiveness. Let us guys judge what we find alluring while you continue to QUIETLY nurse your unreasonable jealousies for other females who already have what you only wish that you could get...

What brought them together in the first place was not the student's beauty. They shared the same passion for architecture, she stood up to him and argued back. She had guts, and it's because of this, he found her attractive. In the perfect marriage between the doctor and the professor, they never argued nor got mad at each other...it was an ideal marriage, but it had its faults. The problem was that they were never honest with each other. One day when you grow out of your shallow mindedness, you will learn that life is not all about beauty.
