arcneys Dec 24 2022 2:29 am first of all, Kento Is Such A Good Actor. Like Seriously. so alice in borderland s2 came out and i watch it in one day, and in episode 8, i was really really stunned. Kento as Arisu potraying his emotions when his mind was being manipulated felt so so real. in other episodes he was so great too of course. He's really great guys!!!

Darcy Jun 18 2022 5:04 am I first saw him on LDK and oh boy, he’s sooo charming. Most of the projects that were given to him are too boyish. I wish he will be given more mature roles so he can show his acting skills like in Todome No Kiss, Good Doctor, and Kingdom. He’s more than just a pretty face, he can act as well. He just needs a good project to showcase his talent.

Otaro character development is one of my favorite aspect and his performance for it is very perfect. He is also have two beautiful female leads and they kiss for how many?? Lol. icHINI Jun 10 2021 2:04 am I notice him in a manga based-movie LD-K , and I was like "crush at first sight " on him because when I saw his picture, I already figure out that he will be famous not just because of his looks but because of his way of acting, he's so cool, effortless and when I try to watch his other movies and series, I was not wrong, he really deserves the word "Versatile Actor" , he fits every character he portrayed. He didn't care about what will he looks like in the camera , he just do his best for acting ! he really deserves so many awards. <3 Also, he's just a natural joker for me, whenever I watch his interview videos , he makes me laugh because of his lowkey jokes :))).

So I want for him to be recognize all over the world; he deserves that.

I just really don't know why such a talented young man like him, I feel like he is not acknowledged by the people who rate an actor for an award... pochi Jan 26 2021 12:15 am Kento is literally one of the busiest Japanese actors in the recent decade and the way he carries and immerse himself in every role he's been given is really admirable. He's done a lot of school-themed movies and dramas but I can see now that he's starting to challenge adult and more complex characters. I can't wait to see more of him. He deserves more awards indeed, I personally think he was incredibly great in Kingdom yet he was snubbed at the Japan Academy for that performance. But he's still young, I hope he gets more opportunities to showcase his talent.

His recent works are also really good. Check out the film Theater and the Netflix Original Series 'Alice in Borderland' both released in 2020. Wishing my boy the best always.

aelia Jun 18 2019 9:32 am I read the Ao Haru Ride, and I just thought he'd be the most suited one to play Mabuchi Kou (though, I have nothing against the actor who played the role of Kou, it's just that, it's kinda off). Kento Yamazaki has the looks and is a versatile actor, to begin with. His overall stance, aura, facial expression is how I imagine Kou in real life. Plus, he is young and could pass being a high school student.

His doramas on 2018, Todome no Kiss and Good Doctor showed his real talent *2 thumbs up*, he is indeed a very versatile actor. I'm sorry that i used to hate him before Rikuoh era, bcoz my cliche reason, "he was everywhere" "he can only play tsundere ouji-sama roles" XDD I'm glad i gave Rikuoh and Orange a chance.

I can't wait for his new movie A Forest of Wool and Steel (Hitsuji to Hagane no Mori) dvd, Kento as piano tuner. The trailers looked so beautiful.

And...no more tsuntsun role again, onegai~~~

But really, I have almost finished watching all his movies and series (can't wait for the new ones to have subs this year!). He is literally everywhere. And aside from being an ikemen, he acts so well! 122am Aug 18 2017 8:52 pm Kento Yamazaki is the best youth actor I've seen. He is especially great in tsundere roles, which is my total weakness. However, he can also act in ditzy or nerdy roles too. He's like the epitome of a dreamy teenage Asian boy and hence he has a great army of fans. Though he's younger than my age, I wish there was someone like him in my school. All girls will go crazy for him, that's for sure. I do prefer him to other young Korean actors like Nam Joo Hyuk. Though both are unreal, but for some reason Yamaken seems more ideal to me. Probably just personal preferences.

Those pretty big and expressive eyes, sharp nose, and nice lips. His looks are perfect for the typical shoju main lead, i mean he is simply perfect for the stooic, cool and tsundere type of guy main leads.. i love him so much!

For the sake of his acting career, he definitely needs to learn acting more and pursue variety roles that require more expression. I've been watching him since Death Note and I'm thrilled with his role as L but after that I feel like he lost his ability on acting. He played save with those princely roles.

I really hope he could do more than just those roles. Being L should be a great breakthrough for his career actually but he (or maybe his agency as well) didn't use that chance very well. He's young and he has potential beside his coldly handsome looks. He really needs to learn more on acting and move on to the next level of roles. I really wish him a good luck for next year. I'm gonna stick with him until he gets crazy role like L in Death Note.

So he probably wants to focus more on the characters and their inner depth than plot twists. You can somehow see that from WGBP. Many people may not like his style but that doesn't make it a bad or low quality or "pathetic" movie.

He's very cute, sweet and funny like a little kid. Lots of interviewers ask him how he is so different from his image and when he switches on the acting.

then you'll know how good of an actor he is~ he is young he will continue to grow and get more different roles. Right now he can't get a lot of mature roles yet, because the guy just turned 22 ffs.

in his new drama he is already acting as a 24 year old, surprised how mature and intimidating he acts here great job kento!

He's miles ahead of Sota Fukushi in terms of acting talent. The new Kingdom short vid proves that he has a lot of potential as a serious dramatic actor. I expect to see great things from him in the future.

Even though he has been grasping a lot of shoujo live adaptation recently, his roles still have some degree of variations, for e.g. dual personality in Wolf Girl and Black Prince, strong and heavy feelings/emotions in Orange or Your Lie in April. Even in similar roles, he never delivers the same side of him and always manages to create a completely different feeling about his character. He's definitely very talented and has a lot of potentials. Nevertheless, I do hope to see him in a darker and/or more challenging roles, something similar to what he did in The Wings of the Kirin, Death Note, or 35 sai no Kokosei. He deserves those roles to develop/realize his potentials. But I doubt that they will gives those roles to him any time soon. He's just so attractive/pretty that it doesn't make much economic sense to do otherwise. Not to mention that his 2 latest shoujo live action movies (Orange and Heroine Shikkaku) both made box office records.

hotarumaruchii Sep 04 2015 9:10 am He's going to rule the Japanese showbiz industry this year, I can feel it :)) Yamaken is everywhere in dramas & movies (esp the manga/anime turn live action movies) it actually reminds of Sota Fukushi last year where he was literally everywhere too:)) I guess his agency is busy getting all the roles as they can get for him. To be honest, I really don't mind him getting all the roles since he's a good actor & has potential but I do hope someday he can take on roles that are not too similar with each other; I just noticed that his recent & upcoming movies have that kind of similarity; I know he can do more & extend his acting skills so I am looking forward for Yamaken's growth as an actor ^^
