Aoi Nishimori's (Ayame Goriki) parents moved to another city for work, but Aoi didn't want to transfer to a new high school. She stays behind and lives in an apartment by herself. Shusei Kugayama (Kento Yamazaki) moves in next to Aoi's apartment. Shusei is a very popular student at their high school. Due to a mistake, Aoi makes the sprinkler go off in his room. Until Shusei's room is fixed, he stays with Aoi.

Sure it is a teenage fantasy but come on... So some eye candy but the story was too juvenile and to prove it no sex nothing

Weird Nov 25 2018 7:18 am I find the female lead's hair too bulky for the size of her face/head. Obviously a wig, but they should have chosen a wig that will match her face size. I find the disproportion somewhat disturbing, like the female lead is an alien in disguise or somehing (reminds me of a scene from the movie mars attack)

Watashi wa.. Jan 03 2018 4:33 am Ok so I watched this movie out of curiousity because I saw a lot of compliments regarding this movie. Fyi, I didn't read the manga first and I just went straight watching the movie. . I just don't get the hype around this movie. I literally cringed all along the movie because of the main female lead. Yes! I just couldn't stand her stupidness. Aside from her cooking skill, there was nothing special about her. I expected her to be matured and wiser due to the fact she lived on her own for a year. . On the side note, the male character was incredibly annoying. I am a huge fan of Yamaken but it doesn't mean that I love all of his characters unconditionally. I felt like punching him to the face. Lol. Wth everyone loves a jerk like him??? . Japanese movies with dumb girl and asshole boy should be stopped though...

DJ May 30 2017 9:44 am One of the great rom-com movies. And a must watch film! :) This is the first rom-com live action movie based on manga that I never get disappointed. Normally we compare the live action to its manga or anime and we got disappointed or frustrated because we have so much expectations that the live action didn't fulfill. But this L•DK live action is beyond my expectations. Hands up for the whole team especially to the director and also for the leads, they're just so perfect for the role. This deserves its 97 rating here but I've rate it 100. :)

ARMY May 23 2017 6:11 am Watch this movie guys if you haven't. It's amazingly and beautifully made and the casts were perfect. Yamazaki Kento's acting never disappoint me and the female lead Ayame Gouriki was so damn cute! They made a really good couple in this movie. Please remind yourself that this is manga based movie so the male lead was always an asshole at first and the female lead was a kind and naive girl. Overall, this is a good movie and highly recommended one. <3

Maybe because reading the manga first then watching the movie leaves you expecting. But I really really have so much fun watching the movie. One of the best shoujo movies I've seen.

Just one moment when she hold his hand cause the thunder that makes me feel the movie, the rest of it was so so

All in all even shusei, once Aoi got to know him she realized he wasn't that bad that's why she fell for him. I liked the movie, it was cute but idky I wanted at the end to show her and shusei walking down the hall together with her friend and her boyfriend lol.

It's a wonderful movie, one of the best shoujo movies I've seen with cute scenes and touching little details with great chemistry between the two! Recommend this to any romance lover <3 <3 <3

asyuki May 19 2015 4:33 pm i wanted to edit and add this to my comment but apparently its not possible so here i go first half was bad but when you come to end only then it truly strucks you that this was a complete waste of time CRAPPY MOVIE , CRAPPY ACTING glad that at least they casted someone with good looks if not i really don't know how to redeem myself from throwing almost 2 hours of my life for nothing -.-

I looked at the reviews and to be honest not really know what not agreed, that the story was changed, but not in a bad sense ... after all think that if it were really that manga can I have not stayed anxiously to know what happens next because I already knew the content, so I think it was very well linked to the story. The actors really did not imagine so, what is good :). Too bad, but it too can not find on many sites and not many people heard of it, because it is a film that really worth appreciation 100,000. I would watch again, again, again and again, since I doubt that there is a future LDK 2. Honestly, I thank the more than all. Finally, I recommend, you will not be disappointed, trust me!

It disappointed me in a way but at the same time I liked it.I still believe it could've been done better. Kento Yamazaki hwaiting oppa!!

I rarely watched live action films but this one is really cute. by the way, Why did they change the whole plot? there is no sister or the obsessive girl that is somewhat related to shuusei.. even the junior boy that loves Aoi. they have new characters here especially the guy with the glasses that appears to be older and have a huge crush on Aoi. I'm still watching the movie so let's see where would this movie will end ( the manga is not complete yet..)

I never watch any drama with the cast looking this young. But I'm going to give it a try anyway. I'm so excited. I can't wait for this. Also wasn't sure after seeing some initial pictures, but Kento Yamazaki is so handsome!!!! >.< Sure he'll portray stoic perfectly... but what about the more ero side of Shuusei? ^^;

Why would they pick a girl with short hair and put extensions in it? It seems so unnatural.They could have chosen another actress to play the role. I was so excited after hearing that this manga will have an adaptation but after watching the trailer, I have to tell you I was disappointed with Ayame's acting. I have read the manga and such but idk, I just find Ayame's acting a bit unnatural. Why is it always Ayame? In Kuroshitsuji, Mirai Nikki, why does it have to be her? Sigh. But anyway, I hope that my perspective about this live action film is wrong and hope that the film itself will be worth watching.
