Otaro Dojima (Kento Yamazaki) works as a popular host. Because of a past incident, he believes that love makes people unhappy. He now only pursues money and power.

A mysterious woman appears in front of Otaro Dojima. The mysterious woman has a pale face with red lips. She kisses him and he dies, but the next moment he regains consciousness. He realizes he is now 7 days in the past. The mysterious woman also follows him. Due to her kiss, Otaro Dojima dies and goes back to the past over and over again.

Otaro character development is one of my favorite aspect and his performance for it is very perfect. He is also have two beautiful female leads and they kiss for how many?? Lol. It is also a drama which me want to realize that the time we have now should be treasured & think of ways how to further find meaning purpose.

I mean ngl i stopped watching after the 2nd episodes but I've seen many edits on ig so i continue to watch it after a year lol. 8/10 (yes kinda disappointed with the ending..kinds wasted ya know those moments of 9 episodes but give tge ratings high cuz the plot was amazing throughout) but I haven't watch the parallel so imma go watch now

ainschiaki Jan 13 2021 2:12 am So I just finished watching Erased, and was looking for something like Erased and Google suggested Todome no Kiss. TBH I was thinking of stopping because the first episode was boring and looks cheap? I was like yeah that's a good looking lead but what the heck he's a scum? BUT then there came the kissing girl and I was like, OMG who the heck? I never hated a main character so much, why Eito was so nasty and greedy I wished I could just smack his sense back. Oh damn Takauji was such a hottie (lol) and hey, Masaki Suda's here too! I got so hooked up with the plot I just need to finish this ASAP. Felt kind of bad to see Takauji developed from that sweet oniichan to a mad psycho. One thing for sure, man... Otaro-Harumi kissing scene was hilarious! XDDD I'm good with the ending, wish for more OtaroxSaiko though. Think I'll get that in Todome no Parallel

Yes the first episode made me feel like I was watching some dumb low budget tv show, but it went in a direction I never expected and it's so creative, funny, has very subtle romantic moments, and for people who love thrillers, this is for you!!! Kento yamazaki is great as Otaro, this role really let me see how fantastic of an actor he is. I agree with one of the comments below that his shojo roles do not do him justice. Honestly I am shocked the episode ratings are so low. You need to watch this!!!

Ir Mar 26 2019 5:02 am The plot isnt anything special and the first 2 episodes will confuse the hell out of you, i like otaro's character development tho. if you want a "happy ending" of otaro ending up with either women then this isnt the kind of show for you, but he did become friends with kazunori in the end and realized alot of things, which for me, is the best ending since this isnt really romance and otaro didnt have any attachment with the 10 billion girl nor saiko. I find otaro annoying lol not sure if he's supposed to be one or maybe it's the acting? (I like kento in his shoujo characters btw) suda did a great job with being a homeless crackhead, his laugh is contagious!! Watch if you have time to kill.

JNJ Jan 21 2019 10:04 am This is the best Suspense and Mystery themed drama, I have ever seen. The plot changes every two episodes. One can never comprehend who plays the bad guy role - Kento or Mackenyu. Both romantic heroes acted superbly.

Like everyone, I can't accept the ending. No one is happy, Otaro nor Takauji or Mikoto. Otaro sacrificed the most in the end.

But this was sorted out in Todome no Parallel (what happens in parallel world). Otaro and Saiko has happy ending. Takauji hasn't changed for the good (still partnering with his uncle in shady activities against Hotei). And poor Mikoto, fate unknown???

Todome no Parallel season 2 (if it happens) Otaro shouldn't go back in time at Episode 10, but should tell Mikoto about his past and Saiko, stays in the present and make Mikoto happy, since Otaro changed for the good. Hence Otaro and Mikoto can have happy ending. This ending was many would have expected / wanted.

Overall, the director squeezed the role of Harumi and rushed too much in last episode of changing time by 3 months and spoiled the whole drama.

This drama is not for those who are weak-hearted regarding suspense or those expecting a joy filled romance. Those who want to have adventure of your life-time, this drama is for your.

Finally, if you think you want to watch just because you are fan of Kento or Mackenyu or Yuko. Dont watch. This drama will portray your favourite actor in different limelight. Have sweet memory of them.

Levi Chan Nov 09 2018 12:55 am Everyone kept raving about Kento's acting in this, so tried it against my better judgement, yappari as I thought looks forced and artificial, total miscast the role doesn't suit him at all. I know saying this will piss off a lot of people but had to get it off my chest, he can only do one type of roles. Sorry not sorry.

Mindy Oct 07 2018 1:22 am I really loved this drama. Despite the fact that I thought the first two episodes were downright terrible and made me question why I was watching the show in the first place, the drama really took a steep uphill climb.

Quite soon, I became very engrossed in the story. I began to love the main character Otaro and found it impossible to hate him despite the overwhelming flaws he had. Otaro's character made this story truly unique. His quirky humor made me laugh, his shameless decision making somehow made me love him that much more. He was so flawed as a person and yet so fascinating to watch.

The plot was exciting and the plot twist at the end was truly heartbreaking, yet beautiful. Yamazaki has truly stepped out of his comfort zone in this and completely aces his role, perfectly portraying the maniac that is Otaro Dojima.

I has issues with the filming in certain parts and there were some plot holes but again, it improved tremendously very soon. The song was addictive and the character development was beautiful, especially that of Saiko and Otaro and even Takauji.

9/10. Totally RECOMMEND it!

Cindy Sep 03 2018 1:14 pm Opened my eyes to the existence of an actor named yamazaki kento. he's really special and i don't think i've ever seen a japanese actor as expressive with his face as him. not really interested in his shoujo roles though. i hope to see him in something that can bring out this side of him in the future

Nabs Jun 20 2018 9:18 am I feel like i owe Yamaken an apology. I feel that his acting was TERRIBLE (I watched Another, I know, what do I expect) and well I watched a lot of his works, which why I came to the conclusion that Yamaken is a terrible actor. But boy, was I really wrong.

I watched Todome no Kiss with no expectation other than to see the leads (I love them all). I sure didn't expect the story would turn out this good. Now I'm off to watch Todome no Parallel. :D

Hopefully, Yamaken would improve his acting more and more!

Zoe May 01 2018 9:40 pm If your a fan of The Butterfly Effect(Movie) or Time Traveling Theme I highly recommend it. Although some of the episode are sometimes confusing and annoying because of the going back and forth and doing it again, it was stressful at times but please be patient because its worth it.

Hopefully they will reconsider a Season Two because 1.Eight/Otaro Dojima deserves a happy ending 2.There is a high possibility that Hiroyuki Hasebe might be Kouto(Eight's brother) 3. How did Saiko Sato (Kissing Woman) and Kazunori Harumi (Homeless Dude) have the same ability of turning back time by Kissing. They totally left the part and needs a better explanation.

Kento Yamazaki has improve a lot am really happy of his accomplishments also I can't believe he kissed Kazunori Harumi I was laughing so hard with that scene, he deserves more credit for the way he act as a Homeless Person.

I am actually contented with the ending. This drama was absolutely wonderful that it deserves a second season but no, I don’t want a second season actually. I want things to remain just as they are. The ending was perfect! It showed Eito’s character development and I loved that. It’s a little sad regarding Saiko though... kinda hoped they’d work out.

However, another spin off series would be great. Featuring another good cast again hopefully :D

LONG COMMENT AHEAD! part 2 w/ slight spoiler Apr 03 2018 12:53 pm Aside from YamaKen’s improved acting, Mackenyu also caught my eye. I mean he’s like everwhere but his projects just don’t interest me at all. Well, except Chihayafuru since I loved the anime but then his character there is the one that I don’t like so I didn’t watched it haha. Anyway this young star will go far! He has also done so well on his role! He has that good guy look but he can turn into a psycho in a matter of seconds. I loved his acting. Seriously.

And I won’t forget to appreciate my lovely Suda-kun as well. I tell you, Harumi is the best character in this drama lol. Not that I’m biased but his role is a gift.

Also I’ll give this drama a rating of 1000000/10 LOL it just proves how good this really is. From the cast to the story– EVERYTHING! Thanks for reading through all of this haha

LONG COMMENT AHEAD! part 1 Apr 03 2018 12:42 pm I actually first discovered this because of Masaki Suda and I didn’t expect YamaKen as the main lead. I had many “second” thoughts on deciding to watch this drama because I had seen YamaKen’s previous roles (movies only) and he was your typical shoujo prince. So his acting didn’t convince me at all. To me it was kinda flat. I finally decided to give it a try because the synopsis (and the leads) got me lol. So I waited for this drama to end so that I can binge watch it. And you know what. I WAS SHOOKED! And hooked! Todome no Kiss justified YamaKen’s talent and I sincerely regret not appreciating his acting before. He’s done really well and I’m going to support him more after this. He proved to me he’s not just a pretty face but seriously passionate and talented as well.

The plot twist was really twisted!!, didnt even thought of it. supporting casts' acting are good compare to the main characters'. It's a must watch, you well not be bored.

Ally Dec 28 2017 8:52 am Loooool. So that girl is Mugi Kadowaki? Funny bc she was with Kento before in the "Wolf Girl and Black Prince" live action and "Mare". In Wolf Girl and Black Prince, Mugi plays the role of the main female lead's best friend (Fumi Nikaido as Erika) where Kento was playing Kyoya, the male lead. Now, she's like the main lead in this drama along with Kento. Haha.

I remember that time in the anime OVA of Wolf Girl and Black Prince where Kyoya and Sanda accidentally kissed. Idk, it reminds me of this situation a little bit.

Mackenyu also worked with Kento before for the live action of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure!

AND YAY YUKO ARAKI, I LOVE HEEEER. I first saw her in "Our Meal For Tomorrow" with Yuto Nakajima and I totally shipped them!
