When I watched Close Range Love several years ago I was really wondering why the teacher doesn't go for the other teacher instead of the short hair student for example. Nana had short hair back then and so was not attractive. She has blossomed now. She is downright gorgeous in After The Rain for example.

Though its a dark role for her and its her first break but she managed to make the character kanako not a joke. You'd think she's not a newbie. But I want to see her more in a light, highschool movies beside she's only 22. She already proved she can handle dark roles so now I want to see her doing kawaii acting.

Whether it's in Kawaki, Destruction Babies or Oboreru Knife, it seems she can handle dark scenes in a very effective way. I love the way she quickly moves from almost expressionless eyes to intense, almost full of rage. Looking forward to seeing her in future roles.

I really enjoyed her performance in Kinkyori Renai and am excited to see how she develops as an actress!

Dawn Jun 09 2015 4:24 pm I just watched your movie "Close Range Love," it was a very nice movie. I loved the way you brought to life Yuni Kururugie as a character. The characters emotionless reaction to everything except Sakurai-sensei (Tomohisa Yamashita's character) was nothing short of wonderful.

I look forward to seeing you in other movies, dramas, short films...whatever, you are a beautiful talent. The film would is surely better because of new actresses like you...continued success and best of luck to you.
