Yuni Kururugi (Nana Komatsu) is a smart high school student. She excels in all subjects except for English. A new English teacher begins work at Yuni's high school. His name is Haruka Sakurai (Tomohisa Yamashita) and he is very handsome.

Yuni begins to receive one-on-one tutoring from Mr. Haruka Sakurai. Soon, Yuni develops feelings for her teacher and she realizes that she is now in love. Yuni then confesses to her teacher.

Akira Shock Mar 12 2023 7:56 am This movie made me fluttery all over. The movie is lighthearted and sweet - ideal as a relaxing weekend watch. The Yamapi & Komatsu Nana combination is amazing too. They've got chemistry and that lover's tension between them & the kiss under the table in the classroom was super sweet. Yamapi's character's insistence about marrying Komatsu Nana in the movie showed how deeply he had fallen in love which is the kind of romantic we get in a Japanese context. And Yamapi in the movie reminded me of his drama role as Kusano Akira in Nobuta wo Produce when he wanted to marry Nobuta. That's how serious he was haha

Rajella Aug 08 2018 11:42 pm I loved it the chemistry was so nice and cool. Haruka did amazing work with Yuni. I wish a 2nd part should also be made after there marriage or in continuation with 1st. Haruka and Yuni look spectacular together they should obviously make another movie. For this movie I can watch it a hundred times without even getting bored

Ah, for the main comment, I actually liked this movie. The manga was better but the movie satisfied me as well so I guess it's okay. Worth to watch for me, but I know these type of movie is not for everybody.

Luckily is wasnt as taboo as I expected it to be and surprisingly, it was kind of watchable esp for scene that made you scream out loud hahaha. Please Yamapi, no more movies like this!

This is all from watching the trailer, I haven't seen the movie yet, so... But still. Manga version Sakurai was uber hot and tall and towering. Especially when he's standing over Uni, or blocking her from going somewhere.

Gret May 27 2016 8:05 am I remember Yamapi and this girl promote this movie on TV shows. I didn't watch it in a movie theater and now I'm glad I didn't. The plot seemed okay but how they present the love story seemed weird. Kururugi seemed to be a psycho. Sakurai-sensei is a handsome pervert. LOL! It's weird that Kururugi is living with a male relative. Awkward! Her parents seemed to not care about her at all. In a scale of 1-10, I'll give this a 5 and only because Yamapi is the lead character, if not, a lot lower. Boring!

Piyo Nov 06 2015 12:33 pm Noooooooooo, just noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. I HATE teacher/student relationships! It drives me insane! I watched the trailer without reading the earlier summaries and now I am going crazy!!! my eyeeessss!! My poor eyes!!! What have I just watched!! And not to mention the age gap between the two actors disturbs me a little. But if they both played adults then I wouldn't mind. It will be like watching the two actors from Itazura na kiss which has a 10 year age gap. Anyways personally I wouldn't watch it for obvious personal reasons. So don't mind my comment.

maryxiah Aug 07 2015 8:12 pm Pretty leads, but pretty boring storyline. Well, since it's a manga adaption (not that I've read it), I think we were expected to know the whole story so it's a bit fast paced (as in everything felt rushed), dramatic, with no character establishment nor development. They fell in love in a flash, especially the teacher, and the next thing I know, they were forcing the forbidden teacher-student love down my throat. I guess it's your average high school love drama, which do no justice for the two pretty leads, they could have done better, I blame the writing. I stuck around for an hour or so just to watch Yamapi.

Genesis Jun 09 2015 4:19 pm Wow! What else can I say....this is my first time watching a movie or drama with the beautiful male lead Tomohisa Yamashita. I was really convinced he was the only one that understood Kururugi's emotional issues. Very nice and sweet romantic drama without being over the top on sugary sweetness.

There were some issues that were truly developed to me, for instance why Kururugi's parent's never called or showed even a hint of availability. She was left in the care of a non-family member single male (does anyone find that strange...parents would leave their child w/a male to look after so they could work abroad). The guardian never speaks to Yuni about her parents or what they might wish for her future. She herself never speaks of her parents and how they might feel about he acceptance of Sakurai proposal (Yamashita's character).

Sakurai, himself never expresses any concern about where Yuni's parents are and how they would feel about him wanting to marry her...it just never comes up. The writer and director missed the mark here. The reappearance of the ex-girlfriend Mirei (new teacher) and her being jealous of a child and wanting to start dating again after how many years of absence from each other's life. Not realistic at all...oh, by the way lets start dating again because I know you're in love with a teenaged girl at this school and I can't stand myself for being jealous of her. Oh and I told her guardian so he could break you up....

The writers make older supposedly mature women revert to stupid behavior...are women in Japan suppose to be this thirsty for a man. A man they've had no connection to your years....I hope the writers, do better than this in the next movie/script adaptation.

I found Kururugi's stoic emotionless gaze wonderful...the actress is very beautiful, that's why is was nice to watch. I thought that no one's ability to connect with her or evoke emotional responses from her like Sakurai was unreal. Teachers running around this school were very irresponsible toward this child, to watch her matriculate through years of school and no one ever check her emotional output.

These few things withstanding...it was a genuine movie. There was a good story here...very touching. Both Sakurai and Kururugi had deep emotional issues, and they way they healed each other was nice. I like how helpless Sakurai was in falling in love with Kururugi...when in the beginning his behavior was like that of a school boy with a crush...provoking Kururugi to get reactions from her.

Oh before I end, something else I couldn't get into about this drama are the school girls crushing on a teacher so openly and without shame. And how the adults around them see this as just emotional behavior. All the squealing and calling out of Sakurai name...it would seem the Administrators would do something to the girls and not always approach the teachers about this type of behavior. Is that really how Japanese schools are, blame the teachers for fast-tail girls behavior when it should be discouraged. Not a good look at all...I felt bad for Sakurai having to deal with the constant sexual harassment by some overactive teenage girls....of course maybe this made him like Yuni more because her reactions were quit and pure.

Anyways, it is a nice movie...Tomoshia Yamashita and his female lead made it a nice heart touching movie.
