I first discovered him in Beyond the Bar and was instantly a big fan - watched all his dramas and movies <3 He has such a striking presence—handsome, cute, sexy, charming all at the same time, and the manliness really sets him apart from other K-actors. His versatility is also commendable; he can transform into so many different roles. Though, meloromances suits him best, those eyes speaks a 1000 words indeed. Ever since I watched bulgasal it was very addicting I kept watching it over and over again it's really heartbreaking even though I watched it many times. I have never been so into korean actors for so long despite watching tons of kdramas ever since. I don't remember crushing on one actor and imagining he be my partner for life haha just kidding. I just watched him in Bulgasal and thought "this actor look so hot" and that's when I start watching his previous dramas. Goodbye, Mr. Black made me love him even more, his character was the greenest of all green flags! He sure belonged to the top 5 Most Handsome Actors in Korea of all time. Even his countrymen can attest to that. And he is very much underrated. Popular korean actors usually have pretty visuals and soft and delicate skin/features. The ones that look like who wouldn't kill an ant. It's so rare to see a korean man with such a strong features and physique. He can rock both beards and clean-shaven looks, any clothing and hair styles, and even while looking rugged like a thug in Sweet Home, he's still oozing with charisma. His eyes are definitely his charming point, it looks so expressive that it feels like he can see through your soul. I also find him a good kisser based on his melodramas shh~ Lee Jin Uk is the embodiment of Hot and Sexy but Cute and Handsome. Even his voice sounds attractive to my ears, its so soothing yet manly. I can understand why Doona is obsessed with him, Eunho still chose him after all she had gone through, why Yoon Mari regrets not waiting for him and instead marry someone else, and why Korea named him "Master of Appearances". Lol Please give him projects in the future. I love seeing him more. Korean ahjussis are really on the next level and I'm just on my 20's. He has hardly aged in all that time, still as handsome as ever. Of course my top favorite of his works will always be Nine: Nine Time Travels which is a total masterpiece and unforgettable. He was restrained, reserved, wary and defensive. But when he started opening up to his found family, especially Min Sang-Un whom he had complicated feelings for, it was beautiful to see. His puppy face when he started to accept that he had fallen for her was so cute. The pain in his face, when he found out that he was the cause of everybody's curse and suffering, just when he found the reason to keep on living, was heartbreaking. I bawled my eyes out. But I really loved him in Bulgasal and his acting was absolutely fabulous! Bulgasal was so "couldn't wait to see the next episode" amazing and I loved the storyline, of how it all unfolded! Dan Hwal & Min Sung-Un truly belonged with each other. You could really feel the struggles, sadness and regrets, and at the same time feel the deep sense of compassion, commitment, understanding and love each of them in each episode. At first, I was kinda disappointed because Jang Hyuk was replaced by Lee Jin-wook in Voice 2. But I never expected that I will like him and climb up to my bias list. His acting is very satisfying, and his eyes do the thing just like Lee Ha-na. I was really heartbroken when the writer killed his character, like it was not necessary. Kwon-joo and Kang-woo are potential love interests for each other. ㅠㅠ Because of Boiseu I wanted more of Jinuk and ended up watching most of his dramas. His gaze is literally his greatest asset. But since I love the crime drama Voice (watched the first season early 2020), I also tried watching the Voice 2. I never thought he is there too. I never thought I would love the character Ko Kang Woo that much. I was watching Voice 4. But I miss Detective Ko, so I'm watching his other drama Good Bye Mr Black . In my perspective, Detective Ko found to be more active and passionate in chasing villain, compared to other male leads of voice series. I wish, OCN/tvN, writer director will bring back the character Detective Ko. His character was chasing one Villain in voice 2. And in Voice 3 another villain. And he shown to be shot by villain of voice 2. In that all efforts in Voice 2 is useless. I hope they will really bring him back in voice 5 or so. So it is a whole series of individuals whose input determines an actor's screen presence and delivery. His physical appearance isn't dramatic, no flower boy features (a plus for me) but he portrays an honest humanity which lends itself to believability. So many romcoms are pushed so far beyond real life that they become farces, and lack any real entertainment value for me. He delivers. It only bothers me a lot because I don't see any list of awards he received. Haven't he won any until now? From Air City, Glass Castle, Spy Myeong Wol, I Need Romance 2012, Nine, The 3 Musketeers, The Time We Were Not In Love, Goodbye Mr. Black, Return and Voice 2 & 3, Sweet Home, didnt he receive any awards??? He's really good in acting, whether it is melodrama, romance, or action, he carried it out perfectly. Until now, I kept on repeating watching his works. He suits him well whatever role he is into. I am just praying that OCN could still find a way to twist the ending of Voice 3 and make him return on the upcoming season 4. Instead of replacing him, why not offer him higher compensation since he made the series highly recognized when he joined from season 2. Also, I am waiting for the season 2 of Sweet Home. No matter how they disguised him to be ugly, his eyes and gaze will always be something they cannot cover it up unless they close his eyes. He is really handsome and manly. The director of Sweet Home is the director of DOST. I wish DOST Season 2 will be offered also to Jin Wook. He was superb in acting and looks in Goodbye Mr Black. The soldier/navy uniform suits him well because of his structured body and height. Done watching Running Man episode. I really love the scene when he sang a song over the phone to lullaby his wife when he was away from his wife (he was on his job trip in China). You might find that the setting of this drama was old coz you are late to watch it , it has been 7 yrs ago.. Really very manly....he played every characters so well. Anybody noticed that he can twitch his left ear? He actually can extraordinarily control his facial muscle! I watched one of his interviews where he said that when he takes up a cast, he turns himself into that person. One Chinese actress does that too...but once she was in a very emotional drama, she took a very long time to get back into herself. Hopefully being a man, Jin-Wook can handle that better than her.
