On June 23rd, 2009 Ju Ji-Hoon received a suspended setence (six-month prison term suspended for one year, 120 hours of community service and 360,000 won in fines [1]) for taking ecstacy tablets and ketamine at actor Ye Hak-Young's home in April of 2008. Actress Yoon Sul-Hee was also involved in the case as the person who smuggled the drugs into the country from Japan.
Ju Ji-Hoon enlisted in the South Korea military on February 2, 2010. He was discharged on November 21, 2011. South Korea has a mandatory military enlistment for all males (usually requires 21 months of service).

So I go watch Hyena after postpone it for many time and searched for the other dramas of him. The thing that surprised me was I watch every drama shows that he played (and few movies) except medical top team that I can't finished.maybe I'm his fan?! and I just don't know it? I don't know I remember that I like Mask but that all its not like I searched anything for him. But Kingdom make him shine so much as an actor. I hope he got award from leechang role.

Hope he wins this year’s Baeksang Awards for best actor in his role in Hyena ! Didn’t notice him in Kingdom although I loved the drama but it was His role as Yoon Hee Jae in Hyena that really got me to sit up ! Since then I’ve watched Along with the Gods 1 & 2 and Juz love his comedic flare there ! He was also brilliant in The Treacherous and The Spy who gone North , although it was Juz a supporting role ! He’s definitely come a long way since Princess Hours ! Better acting skills and his physical appearance has improved by leaps & bounds ! So much more buff and handsome ! Hope he gets more popular and more leading roles !

Kim Na Na Apr 12 2020 3:40 pm Saw him the first time in Princess Hours. Didn't like the drama that much, but his other dramas (esp. Mask and Five Fingers) were good. I like how he played a lot of different roles and he is very charismatic. When he acts he sometimes he talks like he is whispering (or has no air) when he acts angry. Kinda cute. But he really got me since Kingdom, Hyena and his newer movies. Soooo handsome. This hair style suits him than the longer hold hairstyle and in his younger days he was too thin. He is aging like fine wine. Soooo Hotttt!!! Kinda underrated. Some other famous younger actors have only maybe 2-4 movies/dramas that are really popular, but haven't showed diverse acting than JJH. But his last 2 years was really good for him and he is slowly rising. (not saying he wasn't before, but compared to other famous actors, he is kinda underrated). But anyways he's talented, handsome so he will make it. Love youuuuuu <3

Please consider to cast him on rom-com drama because I see those potentials from his film. He is already cast on action film/kdramas too much.. Seeing him playing as a cool character is not surprising anymore.. And most importantly, it will be nice to see him playing as a funny main character.

Dive Aug 12 2018 12:38 pm I first fell in love with Ju Ji Hoon in Princess Hours. I and our classmates in high school back then were crazy for him. He was like the nation's oppa back then I imagined. And then I didn't see any drama with him until Mask. I didn't know he got involved with drugs shortly after Princess Hours. I knew Koreans are unforgiving when it comes to scandals but I'm glad he moved on from it and still manage to have projects after. In most cases, it would have been the end of careers of Korean celebrities. I bet he reflected and repented on his actions. I am glad his career is doing great nowadays. I see he is more focused in doing films. I hope to see him in more dramas.

I like Hae Won Maek's acting and as the movie goes on he keeps on getting handsomer.. i search for his name and i never thought it was Prince Lee Shin from Princess Hours.. I had watch a number of dramas that were very good, only to end in a very sloppy way. Totally disappointing. Such ways are not doing credits to all the casts especially the leads...although living in someone's identity is not realistic but lets hope it will wrap up nicely...afterall, the name speaks for itself - mask.....

Read most articles I could find about JJH (I like to know something about who I am liking to follow and feature on my facebook page), took notes on all his movies and tv dramas from asianwiki dot com/Ju_Ji-Hoon. Despite all scandal and negative input from news media and followers, he's come back stronger, wiser and more beautiful as true to his trade. I admire and love that he learned from his past and can see how he would go far because he is wiser. More power to you Joo Ji Hoon and I wish you health, wealth and wisdom in life.

One of the best looking male actors in Korea and also the best kisser. (lee min ho is nothing comparing to him) I was a little surprised that he was caught using drugs, but well we all do mistakes, and he's just one of unlucky people who were caught. I believe that there are tons of korean celebrities who does drugs, they just weren't caught yet. And on the top of all this he is a good actor, i mean really good. If possible possible please continue the goong season 2 coz im pretty sure this season 2 become hit drama. I still swooned at JJH in Medical Top Team regardless of ratings. As for YEH, she is a fashion plate in her photoshoots, but Mirae looked dowdy :-(

Just completed Medical Top Team, and while the storyline wasn't long enough to satisfy this viewer, I know that had absolutely nothing to do with the cast. I was really surprised by the emotion you delivered in Medical Top Team...when you mother passed, I thought it was someone in my family the way you cried. I truly was overcome with emotion. I felt sincerely sorrowful for the character Chief Han because he couldn't really connect with his mother but he loved her, and he had absolutely no relationship with his father a/k/a The Chairman (who was a bit of a perverted lunatic, opinion only!)

I do like the relationship you developed with Prof. Seo, and Dr. Park...basically the entire cast. I just wished the story was developed more because there was something there with the Vice-President, all the secrets, all of the backstabbers in the mix....just needed more time to play out.

Anyways, now that the drama is over I do hope that you will be in something else very soon and that has a lot more time on television....good luck to you in your career and life.

Being a model must have helped a lot in the composition of this character, not only for beauty but mainly by extremely natural elegance and refinement that Ji Hoon lends to the character. He is undoubtedly a great actor. I deeply loved him at Naked Kitchen, the best scene of seduction I have seen in my whole life. Now I always dream meet Ji Hoon behind a fencing or something like that.

I have yet to watch Mawang and your future sramas and movies but after what ive seen in Five Fingers, i can say that Jihoon-ssi has grown into one of the finest actor around. I literally cried buckets and felt a heaviness in my chest whenever i see him cry in that drama. With that, i can proudly say to anyone that ive become a huge fan. Ji hoon-ssi brought back my love for kdramas. Cant wait to watch your next works.

Gasenadi May 19 2012 11:15 am Not a Goong fan so I didn't expect much from his role in The Devil. Wow! Was I surprised. He portrayed Oh Seung Ha with exquisitely controlled rage, pain and loss. At first, the character seemed wooden and stiff; as the series progresses, Joo Ji Hoon's facial expressions (never exagerrated) register his unraveling. Great job. Hope he continues acting.

Marjj Aug 03 2009 5:36 pm I was really dissappointed when I found out about the whole drugs story, but I still love Ji Hoon. He's an amazing actor, Antique Chef is one of my favourite movies. He's super cute too =] I hope he gets given another chance and makes a good comeback - I'll miss not seeing him onscreen!
