Suz Jun 11 2025 8:00 am One episode to go on Heavenly Ever After. I think my husband may be tired of me saying “I love him! I love his character! His expressions are so unique!” multiple times during the pastor’s scenes. Last night I said that I’m looking him up tomorrow & see what else he’s in and here I am. I will be watching for Ryu Deok-Hwan on Netflix. If his characters are too different from the pastor, I may miss those endearing expressions.

His presence made Heavenly Ever After more exciting, more lively, and definitely noisier haha. Every time he talks or acts, it truly feels like there’s a 5-year-old child inside him — his acting is just so good. When he laughs, I laugh with him; and when he cries, I swear it breaks my heart. Good job — I’m really looking forward to your future projects, oppa!

caca Sep 03 2020 8:47 pm really i can't recognize him so much, he played the role so well. first i watched him at god's quiz and then i watched special inspector labor mr jo and woahh im surprised knowing that he's the same actor from god's quiz. he really different and he's really talented PLEASE RECOGNIZE HIM yall i can't wait for you futur work. and please if inspector labor having season 2 you should join, cause i can't wait to see the side story of woo doha and kim jiran.

He can do comedy and reserved characters, and his chibiness just makes me want to hug him! Looking forward to his next project. I hope he will be blessed with continuous drama and film offers so that we all can get to see him on screen every year round!

Banana uyu Apr 17 2020 1:46 am First saw him in Miss hammurabi although did'nt finished the drama .. but i really impressed with his visual. He is very handsome. yeah really handsome. And then i'm watching his recent drama Nobody knows for him. I just wanna see his visual and his new character but i found that the drama is very interesting and good.. ? he is doing a good job in potraying a warmheart teacher's character. And i realize something while watching him in this drama, that he really looks like actor Jo Seung Woo especially the eyes (just my opinion). And now, i like both of them I will always support you ryu dok hwan, fighting!!

Lala Dec 23 2019 9:07 pm Deok hwan has done a very good job in potraying woo do ha's character :) his character is unpredictable and hard to love or hate.. He mostly a bad guy with a great brain in the drama yet you cannot help but sympathized him for everything he has been going through... I hate him in that drama but at the same time i pitied him :'( doha's emotional scene is one of the best part in the drama.. You can see how much he suffered and being cornered not knowing which to side? glad he become a good person at the end of drama :') still cannot forget that scene where doha, deok gu and another classmates fighting in the detective agency's place like a kid XD

After that I watch Misa Hammurabi, At first I didn't realize if Ryu Doek Hwan played there, because the role sooo different from my Son.. And I watch Special labor inspector Mr.Jo, and the character looks so cool and charming, sooo different (again) from miss hammurabi and my son. Look forward for your another role and drama!!!!!

Priya Dec 14 2018 7:02 pm After seeing Ryu Deok Hwan's excellent acting in Faith as a young king who was helpless in so many ways but intelligent, dignified and determined, I have been looking for him to appear in other Korean dramas or movies. I was so impressed that his character on Miss Hammurabi, was so adorable and affectionate in pursuing social justice and his love interest and what a contrast that t was with his roles in Faith and God's Quiz (seasons 1 & 2). I had no idea that he did so much directing of films and dramas. Wow, what a renaissance man. Now I'm going to look for productions where his directoral credits show up too. Kudos to Director/Actor Ryu!

I didn’t watch miss Hammurabi at first but when I saw some scenes with him and Lee Elijah, I thought they were the cutest couple ever and they really seems to match well. I am so much in love with the song and his voice. I really had no idea that he is such a talented singer. It made me interested in other songs of his. His voice warm and passionate. I became his fan after Faith, then I watched all 3 seasons of God Quiz, A day with my son, Head, Private eye and i'm watching Welcome to Dongmakgol right now. The King and the Queen in Faith were just too cute to handle, they were out of my words, just so meant for each other. I even wished that Ry Deok Hwan and Park Se Young would date in real life. I'm gonna watching him and Se Young from now.

Lee Min-ho makes the perfect contrast, the strong General who kills everyone, and the benevolent and authoritative King that doesn't need a strong built to be respected and loved.

Ryu Deok-Hwan shi, your fans are waiting to see more of your acting! Keep up the good work!

How he smiles a little when he thinks he's succeeding, how his eyes cry whenever he is talking to Park Se-Young, the Queen in Faith, while declaring indirectly, his love for her. And on episode 15 when he realizes Lee Min Ho's words when the later was asking for the Royal Seal. Basically his acting in Faith, from facial expression to bodily movements were superb. Going to watch him from now on.
