Cha Young-Jin (Kim Seo-Hyung) is a detective. She lost her friend 19 years ago to a serial killer. Cha Young-Jin still carries guilt and trauma over the death of her friend. The serial killer case then begins again after 19 years. Cha Young-Jin chases after the killer.

The beginning of the drama was too good that it made me invest my time until the end. I enjoyed kim sae ron's screen time so much. She's too pretty and her acting is on point. Kim seo hyung's acting was remarkable for me, and i like how she pays attention to details on her acting.

The plot is good, but I feel like they all wasted it with that deciphering thing. For me, deciphering the code in order to reveal the map locating a crucial evidence. is like a child's play. It's too weak. Isn't it? And the fact that a lot is happening already won't do justice to how they build the story. They should have come up with a more convincing back story. Baek sang ho as the culprit came as disappointment to me also because I was hoping for a more mind-blowing plot twist.

Anyways, this drama is good but i think it's not for everybody like me who always wants to come up with out of this world theories and possible scenarios when watching a mystery genre.

Park Min May 26 2023 9:05 pm The drama started with a compelling and impactful beginning, yet the subsequent portions failed to maintain the same level. It's also being heavily carried by Kim Seo Hyung while other elements gradually started to fall apart in one way or another. The hotel plotline felt somewhat unconvincing within the overarching narrative, lacking a sufficient sense of coherence. Moreover, the drama exhibited a lack of dedicated investment in any particular genre, instead dabbling intermittently in different genres. Although the characters were well fleshed out, yet, the baddies group, aside from the main guy, came across as somewhat exaggerated and cartoonish. The drama also needed some consistency with its direction, it was swinging between serious and symbolic distraction. Nonetheless, there are still several commendable aspects to appreciate within the drama. The calm and immersive investigative atmosphere, supported by engaging dialogue and captivating cinematography are amongst the things to look forward to.

Don't Read If You Haven't Finished the drama

I love this drama. It has tense moment with some pinches of humour especially from the real culprit.

I just love individual with eccentric personality yet kind. However in this drama, that person is also having an unforgivable dark past.

Chey Oct 16 2022 7:11 pm Wow. Where has Kim Seo Hyung been. She did all of her thing. It was a slow build and Cha Young Jin was frozen in time (very stoic) in her disposition and actions. The only clothes that weren't Black. was a trench coat. ? She was really under a rock. Love the story, the bond between Young Jin and Eun ho.

The bad guy was bad his crew were bad and Young Jin's squad was strong.. I am looking for everything KSH has been in now. I know some believe the character was dull but I see that as complex and tortured/guilt ridden. I really thought she was " gonna go for it all" ? in the final ep. I was gonna be fire engine Red mad but my guy Eun ho was there. ? #ParkHoon

It is rated an 8.1 or 8.3 I guess because of the pace of the series but it's a 9.3 all the way..

Wishing an amazing future for Ahn Ji ho.

Jan 22 2022 8:06 am i'm not familiar with the ratings above but i was enraged seeing the 80% rating. i kept clicking it to 100% but it just won't, it keeps on being 99% so i didn't stop until i got it to 100%. it's THAT good, y'all. like i can't even point out one thing about the drama to prove how good it is because its brilliance is just indescribable. the Whole drama is soooo good. 11/10

However, I appreciate the slowly developing mystery and characters throughout the drama. By episode 10, I was at the very edge of my seat because I was so invested in the characters. Excellent direction, casting, and performances. The drama is full of talent you will probably recognize and each one delivers solid performances. It doesn't have the ultra star power that draws individually, but I think the script was great and the whole cast did an excellent job. 9.7/10.

I dont blame her for not answering the phone but i think as to the kids, she should have learn the leasson already. Repeating that ignorance does now make no sense as detective.

Found myself craning forward, mentally yelling, "no, no, No-o", so many times. I'm sure I'll be watching this again. Just awesome.

Cheska Jan 09 2021 9:32 pm i rarely leave comments on dramas but this drama made me, this one is such an amazing drama although i understand how some may find its pace slow but i kinda didn't feel it since i watched it completed, detective cha is so charismatic and her friendship with eunho and sujung is just precious, i also love her subtle chemistry with lee sunwoo! all the cast in this drama really did well portraying their characters and park hoon as the villain is so good! and most especially love the message and life lessons that this drama gave ~

Flashings Dec 31 2020 5:00 am This drama could have been very good by mixing thriller/criminal aspects with religion and the ties between men and women of power. But the pace is too slow. Each episode is filled with useless scenes showing people walking, staring at each other, thinking... and too many flashbacks. Gosh when you've watched a drama like Stranger every other criminal drama becomes so dull... It kept me hooked however until the 7th episode because of its lead-actress who I've found very attractive in an uncanny way. I wish she'd made more dramas with a better storyline, she deserves it!

The series was fascinating, like I said. The series revolves around the mysteries of a cold serial murder case and a boy who may have become involved. The majority of the series took place over just a few days though, so it was kind of like, wow that was slow. But it was still very exciting. The part we can’t stand is her crying. It’s quite cringey. I’ve never felt so cringey over someone crying.

Throughout the whole thing, we got the message that a person can become good or evil from the people around them who take notice or shape them. That powerful message was made even more clear at the end.

Anh Aug 01 2020 6:03 pm This show is now one of my all-time favorites. I absolutely sped through the show. The pace was easy to follow, but each episode still kept you gripped. I liked that, despite it being a crime/thriller drama, there weren't hollywood-type action sequences or car chases; the show focused on not only the crime itself, but so many other things that in the real world, I'd imagine would revolve around it: the relationships that can be born from a crime and those that are drastically changed by it, and the back stories of both the good and bad characters. It's so rare to like both the good and bad characters, but the show was able to draw out all the small quirks + likable traits about each character so that even though the culprit(s) did horrible things, they still had their personalities that you couldn't ignore. Basically, a Must-Watch.

Fantastic story line and awesome delivery. Pls if you’re thinking twice about watching this drama, u don’t need it cos I highly recommend it. It’s a very serious drama that deals with serious issues that will put you on your toes. Amazing, just too amazing.

Jul 19 2020 4:14 am for me this drama is more like, rather than curious about who is the killer or who is the culprit, we are more curious about how did she/he do that, how did the incident happen, what is the story behind all of that happening, and than how will the culprit get captured, etc. even tho it's kinda obvious about who the culprit is, i still want to watch every single of the episode bcs i am curious about the story. if the story is more focused on the who is the culprit, i would rather go to the very last episode and see who is it. but because this story is more focused on the story, i deliberately watch every single episode on this drama to know more about the story.

DD May 16 2020 1:11 pm finish this drama in 5 day. i enjoy watched it. I love this drama. And whole cast... especially Dect. Cha. Thought this is my first time i enjoy watching series without skip any scene and the end was really good.

without love dovey and unnessary sweet scene. It just pure friendship love even without skinship i can feel how much Cha Young Jin care Ko Eun Ho and how much Ko Eun Ho care her. I like how Cha Young Jin address Ko eun Ho is her friend eventhough 20 yrs gap and ko eun ho call her ahjumma by his sweet kindness voice. They fullfill each other.

Pace a bit slow but somehow i enjoyed it. And Dect Cha, she is a handsome & beautiful women.This is my first time watching kim seo hyung become lead in drama. Fall in love with her. ?. If they do season 2. Hope to watch cha young jin and lee sun woo become couple.

eunhoyah May 08 2020 12:50 pm just finished watching this drama. i would like to give highly appreciation to all the cast, crew, writer, director and everyone who made this drama possible. i have watched a lot of crime/mystery drama but this is the first time i'm putting comment here. i enjoyed it a lot! detective cha is such a serve, she made me want to be someone like her. Park Hoon oppa gave a lot of justice to Baek Sangho's character, he's just so good that he made me hate and love him at the same time. Teacher Lee Sunwoo is so handsome, its my first time seeing him in a drama and i think i need to see his drama for now on. I fall in love with 3 students Eunho, Minsung and Dongmyung their friendship made me miss my childhood days and i feel they'll be great actors in the future and i can't wait to see them grow, i can sense good energy about them three. Sepanx is real i miss the drama already! Its a 10/10 for me ♡

I also felt the anguish and anger through her portrayal of cha yongjin's character. the other casts also played their roles well. the plot or strory was great and each episode was witten and executed properly. the ending was perfect.

So much of good values showed in the midst of all the bad things happening around the characters. I'm so impressed.

I hope all the cast, director, script writers and the whole team gets due recognition for this show. One of the best crime dramas I've watched. Good Job! Well Done Nobody Knows team!

wayer Apr 22 2020 3:34 am This drama worth all 16 hours of my life. The cliffhangers at each episode, the story buildup being peeled layer by layer.. just excellent! The drama somehow reminds me of Children of Lesser God combined with Beautiful World.. how the kids can be f-up because of the grownups. But we have our hero, Det. CHA. Such a blessing in anybody's life, to have someone who really listen and cares. I agree with @bingbing, the moment Sangho imagining Det. Cha extending her hands, I thought, ah, even Sangho can become a better person with her.

Every character somehow get to redeem themselves; Det. Cha with Soojung, Sunwoo-saem with Taehyung, the kids altogether and their parents. Even those baddies.. are paying for their sins. Kudos to Nobody Knows team!

bingbing Apr 22 2020 12:55 am Great drama...i love all the casts..but i really want to praise Park Hoon acting. I hope thru this drama, he will received a lot of offers/attention. I personally think Baek Sang Ho is a victim..he suffered child abuse when he was a kid..then Seo Sang Won a monster saved him and turned Sang Ho into a monster. Of course life is about choices..you choose to also turn yourself into a monster or maintain sanity. To maintain sanity is very hard...because Seo Sang Won influenced him. Final episode..Sang Ho asked Cha Young Jin " will my life be different if i were saved you?"...the answer is Yes.

Anon Apr 13 2020 3:01 am Excellent drama. It's like an onion - the layers get peeled back one by one slowly. And the revelations just get me hooked on this drama even more. I love how smart CYJ is, how scary mad BSH is, how the three boys - EH, DM and even MS - are so real in their emotions mired in a dirty adult world and trying to be happy as best they can. I love the mentor of CYJ and love that he is now trying to mentor these three boys as well. I also love how the junior female officers look up to CYJ, hoping to get in her good books so that they can work the cases with her and learn from her. She's like their k-idol. So sweet! As one mystery is solved (EH did not try to commit suicide!), another one crops up. Makes for exciting viewing every week. Can't wait for them to answer more questions about the stigmata murders. Go watch if you haven't. It's slow moving at times (took at least 4 eps for CYJ to finally meet and talk to MS) but oh so worth it!

Delly Mar 24 2020 7:33 am Another Masterpiece is Born. sad that its underrated. Episode 1 maybe a little slow but don't give up. It's getting better and better. i can't wait for next episode. i adore the relationship between cha young jin and ko eun ho. I am someone who is not affected by the emotion in the drama but cha young jin and ko eun ho, i could totally feel how much they care about each other. I hope all the good kids in this drama survive until the end including ko eun ho and ju dong myung.

Both have female leads. These two are really engaging, thrilling & captivating at the same time. One of course is this drama Nobody knows with Kim Seo Hyung & another is The Cursed with Uhm ji Won. These 2 dramas are ‘a must watch’ if you feel tired & worn out with the routinised k-dramas that we often see! Really & highly recommended. Fighting to both dramas & all the actors..

KimSaeRon younger role of Cha Young Jin was too great. Her amazing acting has taken away my tears and even the fans who really love her. Hopefully her role in #NobodyKnows will help her win the "Best Actress" award at the SBS Drama Awards later this year.
