Magda Apr 27 2025 2:58 pm Very good actor, but I find him to be very annoying in every drama I’ve seen where he’s in it. Maybe because just about always he plays the villain. Don’t know? Just don’t like him. But! That’s how good of an actor he is in his role, that he makes you dislike him.

El Bee Aug 09 2015 3:39 pm Disclaimer: I dislike actors being typecast so very much, despite understanding how Pacino or even Hugh Grant generated an automatic idea of their so called perfect role from very early on what with their respective tough and adorably shy first impressions... That said, despite being so frequently cast to play bad guys-be it empathy-lacking fathers or mob boss-like unforgiving leaders, you manage to make my blood boil so so much! As a side note, those villainous eyebrows don't hurt your skills at acting downright deplorable for the camera... First I saw Hyde, Jekyll, Me then My Heart Twinkle Twinkle (your brows finally not out to dominate and squash any+all opponents with bad dad&scary boss flare) then Hotel King and (following Ji Sung's works admittedly) Secret Love and All In (glad the makeup and lighting improved since that was filmed--they even made your face gaunt in one episode!)... You always have full command and the camera eats your passion up to feed the viewers such satisfying performances-you convince us of both the genuinely scary nature and sympathy-possible rationale (tough love, aggression to scare off predators in a big business setting) when playing some of the toughest characters to play, particularly in trying to appeal to and convince audiences. For that, I commend and thank you. I hope your health allows you to keep working many more years.

TC Mar 16 2013 5:59 pm I really enjoyed Seol In-Kwi in Dae Jo Young, every Goguryeo rising leader seems to give him such a headache but he's tenacious in trying to get rid of them all. I'd almost feel sorry for him if he weren't such a ruthless aggressor.
