Skunk (Joo Won) is a thief who specializes in cultural assets. He teams up with Karma, which is an unofficial cultural assets recovery team, to redeem cultural assets and punish those who are able to evade the law.

Hwang Dae-Myeong (Joo Won) is a public officer in the Special Investigation Division of the Cultural Heritage Administration. His life is easy going. He never misses the opportunity to make extra money and he likes to take naps during work time. For some reason, he is suspected of being in contact with the mysterious thief Skunk. Hwang Dae-Myeong soon becomes a member of Karma.

Bee Jun 12 2024 1:44 am I wanted to take a break from kdramas with a dark plot so i looked up some dramas on HiTV's comedy section and this popped up. i was excited because Ri-An from Hierachy was in it. I'd rate this drama an 8/10, one thing that almost turned me off was the title but i loved how light-hearted the action was and Skunk's cluelessness as well as Chang-Hoon being slow. I think they worked on getting the message about preservation of artefacts and how important the nation's history is. It was sad to see Jo Huin-Dal's backstory and the fact that all the evil he had done was 'wasted' because his only reason to keep doing bad stuff was taken away without his knowledge, Kim Young-Soo's character was well potrayed and delivered. As well as the fact that Skunk kept his father's dream alive despite having challenges. It's refreshing seeing Kim Jae-Won acting as the polar opposite of his character in Hierachy, and i definitely look forward to seeing him in more dramas.

Park Min May 26 2024 4:58 pm The drama should've been called Karma or Skunk, more appropriate than whatever this mouthful title is. Anyway, the drama was quite average, delivering a forgettable experience that was hard to get excited about. Despite the intriguing concept of treasure hunting, it quickly devolved into a series of predictable and uninspired scenes. The characters and their backstories were bland, making it difficult to care about what happens to them and round them. The dialogue was often stale and lacked the sharpness or humor that could have added some much needed zest. Speaking of humor, while the drama was structured as an action comedy but the latter often fell short on delivering good material, with barely a couple of memorable comedic moments at the end. On the other hand, the action was a constant juggling act between enjoyable performances and half-arsed imitations. The police force in this drama was as incompetent as every other drama involving police work, as expected. They went out of their way to shamefully show how bad the police force was and subsequently made Skunk step down to an equal level just to make the dynamic between the two work, forcefully. The drama had an idea to work with but it barely done anything worthy with it.

Even when he's skunk I find nothing incredible or different. Sorry not sorry but I find his character dumb . The only character I enjoyed most is that of Jin Aeri .

Tin Jul 01 2023 7:19 am Finished at last! Not what I expected, the romance between FL and ML seemed to have not been pushed, so technically their relationship at the end just ended as friends ? BTW, what I don't like about this series is that Dae Myung and Skunk doesn't seem to have difference in personality, both are clumsy and sort of lazy, when I watched this, I was hoping this to be a bit more like City Hunter - the seriousness when he is City Hunter is incredible. In this, I don't find Skunk to be incredible at all - except for the 1st part I think, when they haven't shown yet that Dae Myung and Skunk's personality are typically the same, thus I was wondering why the police allies didn't realize immediately that they are one and the same...

Sunflower Jun 14 2023 6:06 pm The first 3 episodes are quite good but everything went downhill after that lol This drama actually had an interesting base with cultural heritage being the main content of the drama but the plot and the main characters were so badly written. Hwang Dae Myung is known for his clumsy and lazy attitude and while Skunk is a skilled thief but he possessed Dae Myung's clumsiness. I can't believe that the police team did not suspect that they're the same person when Skunk behaved exactly like Dae Myung. This is the major flaw of the drama. Secondly, aside from Joo Won, none of the other main actors (those who were on the poster), managed to stand out. Unexpectedly, the one who had the most memorable scene in the whole drama is Hwang Dae Myung's female junior colleague, Jin Ae Ri. She is the scene stealer in this drama. Her scenes with Dae Myung were so entertaining. I felt it a pity that she only got to join Karma Team when the drama was almost done. In conclusion, I have a high expectation for this drama since it is Joo Won's comeback drama after Alice in 2020 but the drama failed to deliver the story well. I hope his next drama will be better than this. Joo Won is too underrated. He is a very talented actor. He used to be in the limelight from 2013 until 2015 where he scored a consecutive mega hit drama Good Doctor and Yong Pal and he even got a grand prize with his performance in Yong Pal. I sincerely would like to see him in a glory again

All the actors are very good, each of them plays an important role in the whole story, both the "good guys" and the bad guys. Sure, the main character stands out with his humor and dynamism, but everyone contributed in a way to the development of the story. history. I really liked the series because it combines humor with action and emotion. The premise initially seems predictable at some points, but then it surprises us. Fighting, action and a lot of good music, excellent visuals and fast development of the case. personally, the story did not tire me at all and kept my interest undiminished. I would definitely like a season 2 with the same action team!

Jin Ae Ri May 19 2023 3:47 am So sad the drama has ended ?. This is so unexpectedly so good. The cultural heritage concept felt so new in korean drama. The chemistry of the team is great. The storyline is filled to the point that it was hard to even play with your phone.

Dwed May 08 2023 8:53 pm this drama didn't live up to the expectation and hype it drummed up unfortunately. the teasers were excellent, and the first two episodes were actually pretty intriguing, but it went downhill from that - a very interesting story and setting let down by too much slapstick moments IMO. Joo Woon is probably shoulders most to blame - while he is good as bumbling Hwang Dae Myeong, he failed in making Skunk cool and instead stayed.... bumbling, taking out the thrill and tension out of the Skunk parts of the show. Jo Han Chu and Lee Deok Hwa are the ones giving the drama some quality and thus saves it, while Lee Joo Woo is criminally underused and underwritten.
