How is he looking so fine? i've never rewatch a kdrama before but i had to bcs his acting skills and everything else is just top tier. The way he says things and looks at gilchae from my dearest made me cry. What a great actor. 궁민오빠 추하요! He really deserved that daesang!

kyudo Dec 11 2024 6:35 am Don't let him act on colossal drama, melodrama, romance like my dearest again. I can't handle the way he speaks to Gil Chae !!!! my heart fluttering everytime he said his line..with his gaze... Aaaaa !!! I purposely avoid any drama with romance in it these days. Soooo many k-drama have this romance with usual ending. But then I watched this. It also have the same ending, happy ending. But the story progression, from ep 1 until the last ep just *chef kiss* You can see the growth from each character. The frustration because so many misunderstandings between Jang Hyeon & Gil Chae. That can be happened on that era only.

The most heart fluttering scene was indeed when Jang Hyeon hug Gil Chae when Gil Chae ask Question about her experience when she was in Shenyang. That response from Jang Hyeon, considering the era jusssttttttt.......... !!!!!!!!

Overall great drama!

Everytime when I'm having a hard time, I watch his dramas, photoes, videos/interviews. Because he is the only person who can calm me down. Together with the main actress Ahn Eun-jin, they conjure unique emotions and connection between two souls bound by love, loyalty and the desire to live. Excellent. I am not surprised that Namkoong Min has already been awarded for the best actor. I hope that in the future the drama will also be shown at some international film festival. Because it deserves it. Looking foward to watch other Namkoong's movies....

He is absolutely an amazing actor (no bullshit)I just became a fan right away after watching My Dearest Part 1 and now continuosly for Part 2. Val torreggiani Dec 30 2022 6:42 am Watching Good Manager, Netflix. I am a recent fan of K-Drama, love the many moods, plot twists, humour and in Nankoong Min’s case, his energy. Will be looking out for more. He has become my second favourite Korean actor. Also these series have whetted my appetite to visit South Korea, the food, apparent kindness and politeness of the people, city and countryside.

I love the clothes too, is it a policy to never wear the same outfit? Is this to promote Korean fashion? Whatever, it makes for good visual viewing.

Unfortunately, he has worked opposite a female lead who is much younger than him a few dramas. For example, in romantic comedy 'Beautiful Goog Sim' (Bang Min Ah, 1993) and the planned romantic drama 'Lover' (Ahn Eun JIn, 1991). Namkoong Min (1978) is over ten years older than his opposite female lead. This is weird and off putting.

Loved him in "Hot Stove League" as an ever dependable boss and "Good Manager" for his bromance with Lee Joon-Ho and witty/silly comedic acting.

I love him so muccch. his dramas are so good. he chooses them really well. i've watched over a hundred of kdramas and my top dramas involve doctor prisoner, awaken (my super fave) and the veil. as a fan of kdramas, i usually end up predicting them, but his dramas never fail to surprise me, plus his acting is really good. FIGHTING!!! more projects please....

I actually talked with friends and they mentioned about his age which may seems to be the obstacles for him when it comes to casting as he needs to compete with the new gen, however, we all feel that he still can play the role of the early 30 easily. There should be no problem at all! We still feel that he’s still in that age!

Moreover, we feel that he’s always paired with the second top actress. We wish to see him to be paired with other leaders in the industry, for example, Kong Hyo Gin, Shi min ah, Kim Tae Hee, Song Hye Kyo, etc. With their fame together, we are confident that the drama/movie will be successful.

Talking about his fan base outside Korea, since I and most of my friends are foreigners, we are actually from all different counties around the globe. Therefore, it should be more benefit to the international rating.

I hope he can get more varieties and more leading roles! Best of luck in you career and we are patiently waiting for your new journey on screens.

The source of inspiration for the script can be anything relatable to daily life, or adapting from mangas or manhwas about house Daddy, such as : 1. Papa Told Me by Nanae Haruno - as the Novelist Matoba, father of Chise Matoba, one of the two lead roles in the story. A loving father who had lost his wife and educated his daughter to be independent.

2. The Way of a House Husband by Kousuke Oono - as Tatsu (main male lead character), a former Yakuza (initially nicknamed The Immortal) who left his unhealthy thug life and become a loving and devoted house husband to a beautiful designer, career woman, who loves him very much. It can be adapted with some modifications (cutting off the main lead character's smoking habit).

My favorite all time scene was when his character found himself in bed with Gong Shim..it was in a beautiful blue and it was so funny and yet endearing.

What makes me crazy about him more is that his passive-aggressiveness and his hidden fiery temper, like fire under the ice. Maybe it is because of his Aries Moon which resides in Ashwini nakshatra and his strong Pluto with Rahu which seems to be in his 7th house if I observe his vedic astrological chart. But he is a Pisces and really a very charming one...

Melissa Sep 13 2015 8:30 pm I showed My Secret Hotel clip to my husband and I asked - 'how old you you think this guy is?' and my husband answered '24'. ROFL I told him he's 36 and he was like... 'He's my age?? So I can also be as cool as him?' and I laughed even more saying 'Yes yes of course you can! Let's go to the gym together starting next month!' ... I doubt if we ever would go to the gym though.

Anyway!! I like him as an actor - I think he's a pro and one of the more capable actor in the field. He acted so naturally in WGM I totally bought every little detail he did in that program - despite my knowledge that it was (probably heavily) scripted. It was easy to suspend my belief believing their relationship could be somewhat real watching his natural act. It's easy to hate on the concept of WGM but even THEN it's hard to hate when the couple is as sweet as them <3

You probably won't read this, but you did fantastic in Sensory Couple. I completely believed you were innocent until the moment you changed. Then you became the most convincing "bad guy" I've seen in any movie or show. :) I'm sure you can fill any role you want to, but you out-did yourself.

He can also pull off evil, his character in "Birth of the Rich" was disturbing because you couldn't really tell if he was nice or not. You didn't know whether to hate him or feel sorry for him.

There's something about the brooding face with glaring eyes then the smiling face with eyes that light up! I just finished watching "Can You Hear My Heart?", and I loved the way the story line wrapped itself around so many different areas of your life. Fantastic acting!! I recently watched "One Fine Day"; and though your character was another loser in the love triangle, your acting was superb!
