I hope to see more of him in the future, perhaps a softer character, given that for the last few years, he had undertaken dark characters. Looking forward to a new show this 2025!

I just had to say what an incredibly talented memorizing, charasmatic and handsome man. I started watching Asian films recently, in this case South Korean and stumbled up Familiar Wife "by chance" (pun intended). I am so happy Netflix actually picked up this as a series. I had never heard or seen Ji Sung before watching "Familiar Wife" where he plays Mr. Cha. I have not finished the series, but I'm well into the 10th episode and thrilled there are 16 episodes in total because as a romantic by heart I have been so completely and absolutely captivated by Hi Sung's heartfelt performance it has taken my breath away and I'm as speechless teary eyed as Wu-Jin herself.

I am not one who usually watches or even cares for romantic comedies like the average woman, I'm not know n for leaving this type of review, but Ji Sung (Mr. Cha) you have touched my heart and soul in such an unexplainable way this fantasy, comedy, drama and romance that I have been caught completely and utterly off guard and you have swept off my feet. I cannot wait to see these rest of your films!! ?

Currently I'm watching Devil Judge, New Heart, and Familiar Wife -but I've seen Doctor John, Feng Shui, and Confession. I am very much looking forward to seeing Adamas. As a matter of fact - I would love to see ALL of his work, unfortunately my location does not allow me to have access to everything he's done, which makes me very sad.

I believe worldwide he is one of the Greatest Actors of our day, and hate that he does not get more recognition for his art.

Eric Dec 09 2021 9:31 am Ji Sung is coming back soon acting as twins to uncover mystery surrounding the murder of father 20 years ago.

I could be wrong but my guess is that Ji Sung as twins will plot and keep people mixing them up in their quest to find the truth.

Filming of drama will most likely be after 2022 Lunar NewYear. Best drama news for Ji Sung fans like me!

Why? Ji Sung's name on a drama or film equates to a stamp of sublime quality, that I will not be wasting my time watching and dropping off quarter-way or halfway through viewing.

I know I am going to enjoy his new drama, what more with Kim Min-Jung, a veteran actress, as co-star.

Eric May 27 2021 12:47 pm When The Devil Judge (aka Devilish Judge) 1st appeared on internet, there was mention that Ji Sung's character is Judge John Kang aka Kang Yo-Han.

Similarly Ji Sung's character is Dr John Cha aka Cha Yo-Han in Dr John drama.

Not sure if Yo-Han is Korean's version of John, just like Juan is Spanish version of John and Johan is German version of John.

Talk about acting, they EMBODY their roles. Ji Sung is one of my all time favorites. He acts so natural and not forced and you can tell that he’s able to tap into his characters VERY well. I feel as if I’m really watching someone in REALITY. I literally don’t know how to explain it but you just know when certain actors are superior and make you connect with a story even more and he has that. From facial movements, to body movements, to intensity in his eyes and his ability to do a full 180. Surely in my book of top actors! Keep up the great work!

His acting feels so natural to the point that we can't say if he's acting or otherwise it's naturally him(Whatever character he plays).. He looks younger than his age. I just want to tell that please give him so many projects to work in. (Dramas and movies) All of Ji-sung's dramas and movies was a big hit..His acting is no joke..it's awesome. Actually the first Ji-sung's drama I watched was Doctor John and I totally fell for him. Then gradually I watched all of his dramas one by one..and still watching..and also waiting to new dramas of him in the future.. I hope to see Justin Ji-sung with Lee Min-ho in a drama.. Because Lee Min-ho is also another king of korean acting field.. I really hope to see both of them in a drama as main roles.. And also I think Park Hyung-sik is quite looking similar to Ji-sung. I like to see them in a same drama too...

During an interview with 3 other actors to promote the film "Feng Shui", the female host asked a question and made the mistake of stating that the 4 actors answer in descending order, starting with the oldest in age.

Everyone looked at one guy and he replied, "I am not the oldest" though he looks years older than Ji Sung.

Ji Sung easily looks the youngest of the 4 guys in the interview which can be found in a video on the internet. :-)

Only drawback is that the Korean network is tvN which does not host annual awards or Ji Sung would definitely win his 3rd Daesang award.

LenyAFett Nov 01 2020 5:58 pm 1st introduced to Ji Sung's acting chop in Kill Me, Heal Me. Impressive acting job switching back and forth between at least 7 very different personalities! Needed to see more to confirm the greatness I've seen. The Familiar Wife is a fantasy rom-com but he still employed great acting in a what I thought a light fluffy story. I am watching Defendant now, just finished episode 3, and am already convinced I'll enjoy another excellent acting work of Mr. Ji Sung. He is now my #1 favorite Korean actor based on his skill as well as his rugged yet gentlemanly looks.

I started to watch korean drama because of the save the last dance and since then, I watch every single series/drama Jisung starred. He's acting is so perfect, portrayed each character given to him w/ justice. Even without a dialogue, his eyes says it all. I recently watch Doctor John, and he's still as handsome as ever. I believe Ji Sung should be recognized more outside Korea. I happy to see him with his family too. May you always stand upright, blessed with a happy family, and we still waiting for your genius works in the future.

This is my 3rd Korean series I have watched and every one has been excellent . I have watched “ Heavens garden “ it was so good ..I didn’t want to come to the end . Then I watched “ Marriage contract “ again it was excellent. And now “ Defendant “ ..the acting is second to none ..absolutely fantastic .. Thank you to all of you who make these series ..you are all just superb. And even with the subtitles it’s no hardship ,I just go back and read it again ... After then, I saw Kill me Heal me and Entertainer. He is a true born actor. I've never seen someone act multiple characters flawlessly like he did in Kill me Heal me and to think he acted seven different characters! He managed to play Yoo Na so well that I kept going back to it. Without any argument, he deserves the best awards in Korea and the World!

Mayumi Jun 02 2020 9:02 am One of the most outstanding versatile actors of Korea. I don't consider him underrated since he has his own cult following. He chooses his works and I believe his family is now his priority. Most of his dramas have interesting and unique plot lines.

Ji Sung is not underrated but rather, the more popular actors (beautiful face but can't freaking act) are overrated.

I went on a drama marathon, and I gave kill me heal me a try, and now I have drama blues! I can't believe it, it's how good he is as an actor. I can't wait for his next project. I hope a great scriptwriter sends him a script that he likes. He's definitely one of the best korean actor, and he's just so handsome, my heart was so taken. I had 0 interest for kdrama because I find the actors boring and cliche, and then Jisung happened. Can't wait for his next project, maybe not for the end of 2019, can he star in 2 dramas in 2020 please, please, please. Kdramas need more actors like him.

Defendant caught my attention as I glimpse some of the episode and wow the plot and writing was superb and I regretted the day when I decided to watch it for the whole day from Episode 1 - 10 and now I am one of the many fans who wait for Monday to come just to watch this drama

before I decided to watch Defendant I search all of his other drama and Heal Me Kill me caught my interest.

after a month of viewing all his drama I can say that Cha Do yon, Ah Yona, Yusab is really is Ji-sung, I came to that conclusion after watching him, why? because I've seen all his act and the nearest personality of him is Ah Yona, Shin Segi is a revelation to me, I never seen him on his other drama of Shin Segi up until now, those three personality are nearest to real Ji Sung personality based on my personal opinion on how he act on his dramas and movies

He is one of the versatile actor that I've ever watch.. HOT PAPA, charming Oppa, brilliant actor, and I think He deserves awards for Defendant.

The first thing I saw him in was Entertainer and he was also really good in that but I have to say HE WAS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE IN KILL ME HEAL ME. Every single personality he played in that drama was amazing and I laughed and cried for every single one of them. He is such a talented actor and I hope he continues to grow in popularity in the future! Will definitely be watching more of his dramas because I just can't get enough.

Now I know that such a good actor exists in Korean dramas. I have just watched "Kill Me, Heal Me" followed by "Secret" or just add Love to the title, and I found this Ji Sung so macho with an intense gaze that could melt your heart. You have given justice to the role of a man with multiple personalities, especially the very funny Yo Na, Enough of those with good looks with shallow acting. I go for actors who can look mean but can be gentle and caring. I think I shall search your other dramas so I can watch all. Keep up the good roles and impress your fans more. Loppy Aug 24 2015 12:01 pm Ji Sung's acting skills were amazing in Kill Me Heal Me. the plot was also very clever and exciting. it 'killed me' to chase all 20 episodes in just 3 days but 'healed me' because it gave me a great insight into people's inner selves. most of all I'm totally hooked onto Ji Sung, he's such a heart melter! I'm surprised he's not casted in more dramas.

i liked the part where she sacrifices her kid because the mom who raised really loved the kid and it would be difficult for he kid when a random person com and claims her self as his mom even though she was the biological mom.

Good story line. effective drama. i wonder why not much awards this should be ranked among top dramas. srry to say better than heirs more meaningful.

For the last four years i've been watching korean dramas. before i was only into native dramas but one epic drama made me not to fall in love with other native dramas.coz i was not satisfied with all the other ones.so my journey with native dramas end in 2012. Then the great korean drama world attracted me.although the dramas focuses mainly on romance.every genre was different and i liked it that way. my obsession started growing like madness.parents were scolding me every now and then but i was not bothered about it. i have seen almost 500 korean dramas.then kill me heal me happened.Ji sung is awesome.i .wont stop speaking if i say about his perfection in every scene. I didn't need substitles to understand his emotions.His eyes speaks volumes.his body react to the situations appropriately.this was the drama made me join korean drama forums for the first time. My madness made me not to follow any other actors. i watched his every shows.i was falling for him deeply.Now i can't digestany other actor on the screen.coz he is epic. once we see the epicness then we can digest nothing less than that. now i'm away from dramas jut co of this guy. i will start loving korean drama again if ji sung oppa's next drama comes.till then i will feel left out.waiting for our next drama.

MissK May 20 2015 12:41 pm I have been a fan of Ji Sung ever since 'Save the Last Dance for Me'. His charisma and acting is always top notch. But over the last few years his face has gone through a drastic transformation - not surgically but he looks like he's lost a ton of weight on his already skinny face, to the point where his cheeks look completely sunken in.

I understand we are all human and our weight will fluctuate which is absolutely fine but his unhealthy onscreen appearance now distracts me from his acting which is upsetting because I love watching him act. He is probably my most favorite male korean actor. Perhaps the weight loss is not intentional but if it is, I'm hoping he will re-consider getting back to a healthier weight (ie 'Swallow the Sun' for reference).

chip Jan 30 2015 6:10 am The first drama I've seen with Ji Sung is Kill Me Heal Me and I'm absolutely floored by his acting! The guy is incredible, he's managing to play multiple completely different personalities so convincingly, giving them a nuanced, natural and sensitive portrayal. He can even act as a teenage girl and carry it off with humour and style without descending into exaggeration or slapstick as such depictions are wont to do. And now he's showcasing how those personalities converge into one, and it's all so believable and touchingly done. Seriously great acting chops I hope he gets an award (or 7) for his role in the drama!

Keep it up I'll keep an eye out for your other projects after this :)

If he doesn't win anything for this drama, I will lose faith in humanity. He, and Hwang Jung Eum saved this drama. The plot sounded such a trainwreck on paper but JS and HJE crafted it so perfectly. I love that KMHM is getting its recognition.

He's one of the few actors who can act through their eyes and can convey a message without saying anything. He perfectly knows how to express his emotions. His acting is very convincing. His drama New Heart is one of my all-time favorite drama. Lee Bo-young is one lucky girl to have someone like Ji Sung.

gretchen Jul 16 2012 12:02 pm ji sung was one of the best korean actor. I just noticed him when I watch protect the boss. He's really amazing actor, his facial expression and voice matches well. After that, I begun watching his previous drama. Some of my friend told me that "save the last dance for me" is really good drama. I've watched it also. And now I', currently watching "new heart' medical drama.. I'm getting hooked to it.. nice story and all of the casts really acts well.. most especially ji sung.. he's one of a kind..almost perfect for me. And I've read a lot of articles about him that his a nice guy and good boyfriend..keep it up ji sung!!!!!!!!! try to watch all his drama.. u will not regret it...

deny Nov 29 2011 4:49 am I started to know Ji Sung backwards - first "Protect the boss"q, then "Swallow the sun", "Kim So Ro", "Save the last dance", "Royal family". I have to admit I didn't feel atracted to him in the Boss- drama- his character was somehow dump and comic in begining and drama also. But it's strange I watched it till the very end :))q actually wating for last 4 episodes. I've interested in the actors and found out Ji Sung remindes me Seun Son Heun who was my favorite then. But I started to watch Swallow the sun because it was translated to my language. And now I have spent about 100 hours of my life watching him in dramas. Now I will begin the New heart= I later may be will rewatch Fate mvie but never will watch Blood rain- becouse he is murdered there. I realised now he allways survives in the end of dramas and that pleases me:)))) How could they made him become so slim in Kim So Ro! I am greedy to watch him- so he have to make new project soon!
