Ha Woo-Shin (Ji Sung) and Song Soo-Hyun (Ji Sung) are twin brothers. Ha Woo-Shin is a best-selling, mystery novelist and Song Soo-Hyun is a prosecutor at the Central District Prosecutors' Office. 22 years ago, when they were children, their step-father was killed. Now, they discover that their birth father is the person that killed their step-father and he received the death sentence.

Ha Woo-Shin and Song Soo-Hyun soon learn that their birth father was framed for their step-father's murder and they chase after truth. In the process, they encounter Eun Hye-Soo (Seo Ji-Hye) and Kim Seo-Hee (Lee Soo-Kyung). Eun Hye-Soo is married to the eldest son of the Haesong Group and she helps Ha Woo-Shin secretly. Kim Seo-Hee is a reporter for TNN local news. She is a righteous person and enthusiastic with her work. She has a secret, which is related to the twin brothers Ha Woo-Shin and Song Soo-Hyun.

Lofi Aug 17 2024 1:25 am First of all, I started watching this drama because of Ji-Sung. No doubt, Ji-Sung as Woo Sin and Soohyun deliver top-notch acting. However, the plot became quite bland from episode 5 onwards. Specifically, the so-called Special Investigation Team (SIH) is extremely ineffective. They contribute nothing, solve nothing, and are always on the losing side. I got so irritated.

The Sun character pissed me off so much, but that just shows how talented she is as a psychotic killer. Lol. However, leaving her and ending the drama like that really frustrated me.

There is much more that I am disappointed about, especially the storyline of the drama. It could have been better. As for a Season 2, honestly, I’m not hoping for it.

When it first came out I didn't watch because people said it was boring and now I regret it. You definitely watch this show. Also, if there is jisung in a show, there is no way that show can be bad. And luckily we watching two jisung :)

Park Min Feb 07 2024 8:08 am Although the twin had different styles with different clothing to make them distinguishable enough but I found it a little tiring to keep making a conscious effort to differentiate between the two. Maybe throwing on some glasses would help or I'm just too lazy. The first episode felt too tame and didn't show enough gripping elements. That scene in the forest at the beginning of episode 2 really sat the overall tone of the drama moving forward. At that point, it was obvious it's going to be the type of show that would waste time on nonsense, fail to deliver the information and dance around aimlessly. I though I would give them the benefit of the doubt; they might deliver on that with clever plays but they never did. Not even the twins element was utilized enough. After about 4 episodes, the drama lost most, if not all, of its engaging elements. The mystery turned into a snoozefest. This was beyond what's considered a slow burner. It took 11 long episodes for something noteworthy to happen. The ending was underwhelming after all that wait and they had the audacity to set up some teasers for possible continuation.

SG Pup 1722 Apr 07 2023 9:57 am The show had an uncomplicated though slightly simplistic storyline. I must say that it’s one series where the so-called supporting cast had significant amount of screen times.

So Chairman Kwon, his son Hyun-Jo, butler Soon-Yi, secretary Yoon Jin and undercover cop Tae-Sung were given ample opportunity to develop their roles on the screen. The butler Soon Yi stood out for me with her over-the-top acting played by Hwang Jung-Min.

Oh Dae-Hwan and Lee Ho-Cheol played their usual slimy roles, especially the former who always exuded danger in every scene. I loved watching Seo Ji-Hye, her role was at times collaborating with and supporting Ji Sung, though she couldn’t be trusted as she always had her own agenda. Lee Soo-Kyung’s role was a bit irritating as a naive reporter, as she kept arguing that the “good guys” Special Investigation HQ shouldn’t break the rules as they battled against the “bad guys” Haesong’s Team A.

Yoon Sun played by Park Hye-Eun truly nailed the role of a psychotic killer. She made herself thoroughly dislikeable! I’m sure many viewers would have loved it if her character got killed off in the end, that’s how psycho she acted lol!

An easily watchable series, not taxing at all on the mental aspects. As usual Ji Sung acted well, though I somehow felt that the supporting cast shone through more brightly than the lead in this series.

Extremely disappointed to read so many disparaging & insulting comments towards the actresses. Some are just downright misogynistic & ignorant. Firstly, Lee Sookyung is a gifted Baeksang-winning actress with incredible range. Her character, Reporter Kim, provided the investigative & analytical impetus to the plot. Her determined pursuit of the truth & justice complemented her teamwork with Prosecutor Song. Secondly, assassin Yoon Sun is a psychopath, a cold-blooded killer. No different to Team A Manager Lee so it makes no logical sense to bash the female character yet say nothing about the male! Sexism in Kdrama viewing at its best! Overall, a fantastic mystery thriller with a fascinating plot and fabulous actors/actresses all round.

I could care less about her past cause she comes across as a twisted loose brain. The plot of the story began to go down hill right from when she made her first appearance. It's sad that no character in the drama could tame her at the end. I wanted her dead more than anyone.

I read the comments about Kim Soo Hee, thou she might come across as a goody two shoes, she brought the needed change to the dynamics of the story.

As for Dongrim, yeah his character was clumsy, but it helped neutralize the storyline and brought a bit of normality to theme of the story.

I appreciate Mrs Kwon's character alot, it was annoying at first, but it added the right drama to the storyline. I wish there was more character like hers.

I think the main character would be better if played for a different actor. because here they are actually made exactly the same, it's a bit difficult to get used to one actor that they are two different people.

I think Ahn BoHyun is more suitable to be So JiHye's husband, they are suitable and the same age. Ahn BoHyun here is just acting as the past, are you serious?

and one more thing, why is Dong Rim so annoying? he is very childish and acts as hhe pleases even though he is in someone else's house. Oh my God, I can't stand the sight of it.

If you are waiting for romance please dont watch & complain. This plot is very exciting with so many plot twists. Love to see if there is a season 2. Even if not its a nice clifhanger. Well I just hope if reporters character was played by another actress ,she looks even younger than her real age. Well in last few episodes there was some sort of romantic vibe developing between her & prosecutor .. I m ok with even that is 0% romance . Anyway nice drama . With touching of harsh truth of reality .

The scriptwriter did not give a well covered personality of the "reporter", but portrayed her as a passive person in the midst of personal danger. Or perhaps it was her acting.

Not catching season 2 - probably will be a waste of time too. Pity for Ji Sung

As for the story, I give this 6/10. The flow is sometimes slow then mysterious that you would want to know what will happen ASAP. This series is not a simple crime story. I skipped parts that are too brutal esp with Sun. This lady has a good acting skills in annoying the viewers. If you are expecting a rom-com, drop this. Crime-comedy, go with Murderer Shopping List.

AdamasFan Sep 01 2022 10:01 am From tensed interactions between Team A Section Chief Jung and lunatic Sun, plus Secretary Yoon whistleblowing to Kwon Hyun-Jo that Jung is in cahoots with Eun Hye-Soo, it will not be surprising if Kwon Hyun-Jo gets Sun to take down Jung, leading to a bloodbath that ends Jung and Sun. Just my hopeful guess.

But why is she acting like a psychopath? I do not think she has more than 45kg, but she does so many damages to other people. For this type of character, it would have been better to choose a person with a credible physical constitution. I hope this character will die soon.

I am also not really a big fan of female psycho assassin storyline, she is cute and talented actress but in my opinion it adds too much blood to this beautifully written detective story.

I really hope Ha Woo-Shin stays alive and resolve this case with his brilliant skills!!!

Do not really care about the prosecutor and his friend. (Actually their behavior is the reason why Ha Woo-Shin did not tell his plans to the brother in the beginning, now I understand why).

Female_human Aug 25 2022 1:39 am Lol, for a prosecutor (Sung Soo-Hyun) who is supposed to be smart at solving lots of cases (this is hinted in early episodes) he's pretty dumb. I can't stand Kim Soe-Hee, she's too emotional, and she's dumb while pretending to be smart, maybe it's just how she's written then that's fine.

But what took me out of the immersion of the story is how Kim Soe-Hee sounds (the way she talks, speech and gestures) sounds so young. Other than that she looks so young like she's in high school, so I find it hard to see that she's an adult in journalism and not some kid in journalism club

Anyway for me it's 7/10 so far (ep 1-9)

Dwed Aug 24 2022 10:29 pm not really a big fan of the recent plot developments (female psycho assassin especially, but the whole bloody war between SIH and team A really). it was a nice, subtle and intelligent mystery drama for a long while, and suddenly it turned into a cops vs hitmen gang war that's all bloody and graphic.

There are so many fissures within the parties to secure power that has potential for infighting - for instance, 1) Kwon Hyun-Jo is making moves to secure his upcoming position as new Chairman by trying to displace Team A Leader Lee with Section Chief Jung, something that was reported back to Leader Lee. 2) potential conflict between Team A loose cannon Sun and Section Chief Jung 3) conflict between Leader Lee and Lee Chang-Woo. 4) conflict between Secretary Yoon and her sister Sun that may lead to involvement by Kwon Hyun-Jo and Leader Lee respectively. 5) Eun Hye-Soo is calling someone to help her in her plans but she's unlikely to go against the younger twin.

Chairman Kwon was shown experiencing chest discomfort during dinner in an episode; could this be a harbinger of a heart attack in future episode and along with this, brings an end to butler Kwon as well?

I could be wrong but future episode may have a cat fight between Kim Seo-Hee and/or SIH Miss Lee against Team A Sun that ends with dramatic take down of Sun.

Team A Leader Lee was gloating at the news of survivor's death on television. He will rue his words about loving twins when the twins work together against him to do a smoke-and-mirrors illusion in a climactic showdown, possibly towards last few episodes ; this time he will be cursing that he hates identical twins!

Most of the cast members are very good in their roles. Hope that this drama ratings will gain traction in the coming episodes. Definitely exciting, entertaining and worth your time watching! Please stay tuned!

Most of the cast members are very good in their roles. For newbies to kdrama, Ji Sung has acted with Team A Leader Lee (Oh Dae-Hwan) in Defendant drama, Haesong Group security officer (Heo Sung-Tae) in Feng Shui k-film and Seo Ji-Hye in im Su-Ro, The Iron King kdrama and All In kdrama.

Hope that this drama will gain traction in the coming episodes.

A lot of actors I adore - Ji Sung, Seo Ji-Hye, Seo Hyun-Woo, Ahn Bo-Hyun, Heo Sung-Tae, Shin Hyun-Seung.

New faces that I haven't seen before are so cool too - Lee Si-Won, Park Hye-Eun, Choi Chan-Ho, Lee Soo-Kyung.

For me it is more like a movie than tv series. I can't wait for the ending. Seriously we still have 9-10 episodes and I cannot imagine what the plot twist is about! :)

I highly recommend it to anyone who likes Watcher and Stranger.

From episodes 5 to 7, more is revealed about the main characters, especially with regards to the twins.

The younger twin is more cool-headed and contemplative, analysing people and situations to working within the constraints of Haesong surveillance system. His twin is more hot-headed to get what he wants but both display more intuition than the female reporter who was annoying obtuse in not smelling a rat but instead tried to stop the prosecutor twin from interrogating the pseudo plumber.

My 1st thoughts when Section Chief Lee Joon-Ho was interrogated was that he's too young to know details of the murder that took place 22 years back as he was then only 9 years old. True enough, the younger twin picked this up and after careful analysing, realised that SIH safe-place was in danger of being ambushed. Not sure why but his comments about injecting himself with GIS micro-chip in the event anything happened to him appears like a forbearance of danger happening to him in the future.

To muddy the water to add further drama down the road, the older twin was mislead into injecting muscle relaxant into Section Chief Lee Joon-Ho, accidentally killing him in the process. This set the stage for Team A Leader Lee to seek revenge on the twin's younger brother to settle scores.

There are a few instances whereby the storyline fell into the fictional realm - for instance, Team A henchmen managed within seconds to find notebook computer with video of older twin injecting Section Chief Lee Joon-Ho. SIH team managed to use powerful telescope (I'm thinking Hubble Space Telescope) to zoom in on older twin and reporter + bug younger twin's apartment (without gaining access into apartment) Older twin asked his colleague to get Lee Kwong Woo's dossier (which should be in a strong, secured room which is usually near to AG office and prosecutor office) but yet Team A hence-man gets hold of dossier 1st. Seems like case dossiers are easily assessible and taken. How did Leader Lee get the video of older twin interrogating his brother Section Chief Lee tied up when the notebook computer exploded during the ambush (Episode 6 timing 51 mins)? Ep7, how did Leader Lee managed to get document about younger twin’s contract with Haesong Group? Seems like it's easy to find and lie hold of documents without effort.

For info, Song Soon-Ho is the step-father of the twins, married to their mother in 1990 or thereabouts and Lee Chang-Woo is their biological father. The twins were born in early February 1986. The older twin Song Soo-Hyun took his step-father's surname whereas the younger twin goes by Ha Woo-Shin, taking his mother Ha Young-Shin's surname, not sure due to because he's a writer. It appears that the older twin spends more time with his step-father whereas the younger twin spends more time with his mother - she was hugging him during her grief on hearing news of husband's passing and was with him again when she took her last breath.

Team A Leader Lee warned his subordinate Sun to target only elder twin and reporter; later on, in his reporting to Chairman Kwon he again mentioned elder twin and reporter but omitted the younger novelist twin, despite knowing he's in Chairman Kwon's HaeSong residence. This signals ominous overtones to come in future episodes as he wants to take revenge on his brother Section Chief Lee's death by doing to younger twin what older twin had done to his brother.

It appears that Eun Hye-Soo is sub-consciously attracted to the younger twin as he piqued her interest as well as that he resembled Kwon Min-Jo in looks and demeanour, being dulcet and soft-spoken. The older twin and female reporter matched in terms of their fire-brand personality.

Episode 7 delves into a disturbing realm - is butler Kwon a psychopath / sociopath? and from history appears to have an obsession with Chairman Kwon. Also based on Kwon Hyun-Jo's words that "his father has no pleasure for things that displease him not even his sons", this shows that Chairman Kwon has a ruthless streak in his dealings with people.

This drama is getting more exciting and interesting. Stay tuned for more developments!

Eric Aug 09 2022 7:13 pm This drama is about Ji Sung's twin characters sleuthing to find the truth behind the death of their step-father; the younger twin was told by his dying mother that his biological father was innocent of the crime committed whereas his older twin, to date, was in the dark but would eventually come to know.

The synopsis is all about sleuthing with younger twin seeking to find the Adamas murder weapon as evidence and his twin working towards finding the criminal(s) responsible. Eventually, the twins will work together in a race against time due to statutes of limitation.

This drama is not about revenge, not about seeking vengeance against the criminals but to get to the truth to clear biological father's name and that justice be served on the criminal(s) in a court of law.

So far the drama has shown that the younger twin has 2 allies on his side, namely Eun Hye-Soo who helps him secretly and Choi Tae-Sung, plus security guard Kim, an ardent fan of the novelist twin, who dislikes the butler Kwon. Secretary Yoon's character has not been revealed but could she be the person who had recommended the twin to write on Chairman Kwon's biography? Could Secretary Yoon be feigning dumbness to protect herself, possibly against unwanted attention from Kwon Hyun-Jo?

Who is the likeliest person to benefit from Kwon Min-Jo's death? His older brother who by birth right should be Chairman Kwon's heir but was overlooked due to Chairman Kwon favouring his younger son. The secret lies with Chairman Kwon, older brother Kwon Hyun-Jo and the butler.

Team A Leader Lee is another suspect - what does he benefit in the scheme of things with Chairman Kwon or Kwon Hyun-Jo?

The older twin has one ally in the female reporter. To date he's not aware that Lee Chang-Woo is his biological father.

The drama differentiates the twins by their style of dressing with the older twin usually dapper in formal suits or with turtleneck sweater as part of 3 piece suit whereas the younger twin is usually casually attired.

Kdrama, being kdrama, at some point there maybe a crisis (for example, one of the twins get injured or cornered) such that the other twin will distract and decoy their enemies away. Hence, the need for the twins to have same hair-style in the drama (my guessing.)

So far, only the female reporter has heard of Ji Sung's characters being identical twins. Eun Hye-Soo knows of novelist having a brother but it is not known if she's aware that his brother and novelist are identical twins.

At some point, probably towards drama epilogue, the twins will appear together to surprise the villains, to keep the pot stirring with excitement.

Based on the episode 5 trailer, the older twin is in danger of walking into a deadly trap and the younger novelist twin has to execute a "mission impossible" - looking forward to this week's episodes on how they will outwit and outsmart their adversaries and hopefully win more alliances. Eric Jul 27 2022 3:14 pm My impression is that this drama encompasses thriller, intrigue, suspense, action and drama, all spiced and rolled into one, like a all-in-one drama.

Also based on the storyline from episode 1 so far, Ji Sung's twin characters are working towards uncovering the plot which is a who-dun-it, uncovering and finding clues leading to the murderer who framed their biological father for their step-father's death. There will be red herrings along the way.

There will also be the question(s) of who to trust and relationships built will be put to the test, leading to cliffhangers to whet viewers' appetite to tune in for more.

The 1st episode has been a very good appetiser so far. Enjoy!

This 65+ drama's and this is the first time commenting on this site, while we wait on this one and if you haven't seen his other drama's you definitely have to check them out. Me and my mom were so excited to see Bundle in this one too! Cannot wait! Ji Sung knows how to pick drama's, it's his 2nd time playing twins and 3rd time playing a prosecutor yet they're all so diverse and so thrilling. Huge fan of all his works.
