I feel like she was so misunderstood. She would have made an excellent Empress but there was so much hatred for her even before she entered the palace, and the Emperor acting like he cared about her before he married her made it worse.

She had the resources to support the Emperor and protect them.

I wish she found out what the dowager did to her to make her barren. She would have had her stupid head on a pike

Cos That drama was just a disaster which left me traumatized, Danashiri was the only character i could understand which made watching the drama worthwhile

She's also way too plain looking-- notice the same hairstyle and choice of wardrobe. To be a great actress, she needs to stop so insecure about herself.

Young Mar 25 2016 7:32 pm I doubt her next drama would be from MBC. Besides Empress Ki, all of the dramas she acted in are not very good. Despite her being the main character in all the dramas she acted after Empress Ki, the writers failed to give her character any sort of development or screen time. I am not surprised netizens are blaming the actress for this absurdity the writers should be blamed for, since she does not have a higher following. In my honest opinion, I think her situation is a bit similar (not saying a lot) to Park Have Jin's controversy with his drama "Cheese in the Trap." PHJ's situation is a lot more severe, but it is just unfair for both these actors with their talent being wasted. But I do hope she does decline "Beauty's Beast" because it does not look like it will do her acting any justice. I noticed that all the dramas she acted so far were with actors starting out their first main role-- not saying its a bad thing. But Im pretty sure the writers will care more about the male lead than her with the exception MDGSW (that drama was total shit.) Good luck to her, seriously she needs it.

Although i'm excitedly happy for this and on top of that the male lead will be Namgung Min, she'll probably decline since it's not an MBC drama btw (if you look at her filmography above, you'll know what i mean)

Pang Mar 01 2016 11:13 pm Truly an underrated actress. I have watched many, many korean dramas from historical to suspence of comedy and while there are many female actresses that have fame, they are not as expressive or delightful as Ms Baek Jin Hee.

Baek Jin Hee was wonderful in Empress Ki. Such amazing acting for one of small stature. She was the better actress in the series although Ha Ji Won was the protagonist.

I'm watching Baek Jin Hee in 'My Daughter Gem Sa Wol' and while her character is more realistic, the stereotypical good girl, Baek Jin Hee portrayed her role very well.

Baek Jin Hee is THE actress on the rise. I am personally not too impressed with many Korean actresses besides the older ones who take on much more diverse roles but Baek Jin Hee is the one that has impressed me so much. I look forward to more of her work whether it's small or big.

She is definitely not one of those lesser actresses that many netizens are making her out to be. She's just hasn't been that lucky with projects after Empress Ki. No worries, here's to hoping that she will finally get the breakthrough project she deserves this year. She's an extraordinary actress with great potential, so don't give up on her just yet :)

It's unfortunate that the projects she's done so far, apart from Empress Ki, have not been widely acknowledged, but with her level of talent, I'm sure she'll get her due recognition by both the international and local arena soon enough.
