Park Min Apr 15 2023 5:19 pm This drama is the definition of scam. I would rather be robbed and slapped on the face in broad daylight! The viewers, the characters, the production team and staff all were scammed blatantly by the writer. The writer did an identical move of the exact scam with her other drama "A Good Supper (2021)". Seems to have a good track record in scamming. The drama in general was scuffed including the earlier parts. The stinkiness began as early as episode 3. I hope Han Ji Hye can pick up better projects in the future. The last project she did that was actually good was "Sweet 18 (2004)" from 19 years ago!

Amie Dec 03 2021 10:24 am So sad and very disappointed for the result of ending ... monghee is the center of the drama but neglected by the writer itself... she was a naive and warm hearted person she deserves to be' with hyunsu the man she loved the most.... but instead yoona stay with the husband even she is also pitiful she was the one with the hard character and she can find any guy since she raise as a rich and beautiful lady ... she can win many young man with her name and status

Lana Jul 30 2020 3:56 am Im frustrated of the fact that Monghee deserved to take Yona's part at the end. How did the writer end it up like this. If anything Mongee deserve all the happiness including Hyun Joon. Mongee's youngest sister is too much. She should've just let Hyun tae go and decide for himself if she was the one he really needed. She kinda forced herself to him. Yoon sim Duk needed to be punished as a Mother for thinking highly of her kids and was against her son and Minjung's relationship. I didn't like the ending of how she came yo accept Minjung back. She needed to suffer as much as how she treated Minjung and Mongee. I would've ended the relationship of Mongee and her adoption family. The adoptive mother treated her badly and was unfair of how she raised her kids besides from Mongee. Did not like it at all. It was nice from the beginning until we got towards the ending. Very disappointed

Kanto May 12 2018 11:58 am Spoilers!!: TLDR: Good Show! Emotionally Charged!! Cute, but Ultimately Lackluster Ending!

Ok... I honestly loved the drama as a whole, but monghee!! why??! I love a good redemption arc and I think that deok-hee was the person I grew to love the most. I really didn't want to accept her apologies at first, but she grew and she let down her barrier holding her back and became the mother of the household. I think that hyunsu's mother was a LOT more graceful and motherly, but deok-hee did fine at the end as the arbiter of the house. Monghyun and Hyuntae was my favorite couple BY FAR!! Cute and devoted, loving and funny. Yoona is weird for me considering I kinda switched her up with monghee in my head at the end. She had the ending that i wanted for monghee. It honestly didn't matter to me who it was, but I think to go on the trip and announce that she's engaged or that she was really happy would have satisfied me. (I didn't need to be romantic but...) She never looked happy to me after the lunch when she first called hyunsu brother-in-law. Her smile always looked kinda conflicted to me. Monghyun at times seemed to forget which one was her sister which kinda erked me. Monghee lost her spot as apart of the cast after being the main heroine for the first 30 episodes. (Which i also didn't like). She went through the MOST with very little (emotionally) at the end to show for it. That ending scene and the water hell the whole trip seemed kinda cruel to me..(I mean it was cute and all, but plz that was hard to watch) The families came together at the end with a lot of help from quick solutions. (Most Notably) That one specific person begging them to get over their issues. Good show, but lackluster ending for the character we grew the most with!

Kkum Dec 22 2016 3:28 am I quite like this drama. It show us the story that might really happen in family. All the problems and the characters. I often shed tears with the jung's family problem. It really reflect in our daily life. And about mong hee, i think it was best for her. If she was really with hyunsu, then it will be a cheating drama, not a family drama.

This drama is awful, but I only continue to watch because of Baek Jin Hee and Park Seo Joon-- so adorable these two. If they are in fact dating in real life then at least one good thing came out from this awful drama.

She's smiling but I really can't be happy for her as she doesn't get a man! I literally angrily swear at the episode where she called Hyunsu 'brother-in-law'. Monghee is supposed to be the heroine (I followed this series because I can relate with her struggles) but she fades on the background when Yoona returned. I feel it has been dragged out after Hyunsu returns from Italy. Honestly, they could have gotten a better looking actor for the male lead... and I don't really feel his acting. Creeps me a bit when he tries to go charming mode. Han Ji-Hye is always awesome. I f*cking love her and want to take her home! Everyone should really watch Beyond the Clouds and May Queen. Those 2 is like the best in Korean drama.

Deok-Hee should have gotten kicked the hell out with all the havoc she caused. and Sung Eun should have just hit the highway with her evil self. I am soooooooo annoyed right now.

Its like she had plastic surgery and they did a facelift so tight that everytime she tried to do facial expressions her face get weird like its stretched and eyes I swear it feels like its trying to out stretch her eye lids.... dont get me wrong her acting was good and hands down but that face keeps bugging me and very distracting not in a good way. the scenes where shes upset and yelling and crying watch and you will see... apart from that acting was done nicely ..A must watch drama for those who havent seen it yet. 50E but worth it !!

Noor Dec 08 2013 3:48 pm I agree with most people here...this was a really enjoyable series except the final the end which ruin everything...the writers must have gone crazy to come out with such shitty ending whereby the evils ones despite their cruelty and all shortcomings get happiest...I will advise everybody just to jump the last episode..anyway it doesn'y bring much more except frustration for most viewers. The first 30 episodes were awesome and then it started to get shitty..Anyway good show with some great acting with lots of teary moments but also fun too..I especillay enjoyed the two grandmas and couldn't stand that b... of sister who can't hold her tongue...lol. Enjoy it..it is worthwhile.

Great in the beginning, great buildup to disappoint after investing time to watch and by the 40th episode onward all the characters are changed and the story veered off and went in an entirely different way. Evil people reap more good luck and there are no consequences for destroying people's lives - all is forgiven by their victims who suffered under them for many years. Such a disappointment. Will read reviews beforehand before starting any drama from here on in.

I guess the message of this drama is you can get away with anything in the end even if it's illegal!

ANN G Sep 27 2013 3:45 pm Hi everyone again. I am so ticked off at this drama. So everybody gets someone to love except Monghee that is some BS there. On top of that, all the evil people ended up happy and content with no type of freaking punishment. OMG the evil not even legally a step mother chick didn't even get punish for her evilness. I mean Ok I didn't agree with putting the guy between the sisters but they could have given us something more with Monghee. Everybody is in the water rejoicing with a love one while MOnghee walks the road alone that's BS! Did the writers just give up towards the end because it seemed that way. They shouldn't have stretch it to 50eps it should have ended around the time she found out she was adopted and tied up the other ends. I mean wtf I am soo beyond ticked off at this drama. Then you know what else they even let the other chick get knocked up and her freaking happy ending with her child, the rich family she fought so hard to get into, a baby on the way. I felt her and the evil step mom should have gotten theirs, but they never did. The drama had it good points though, fav eps are from 1- 30 after that the dramas starts heading down a slippery slope until it crashes at the bottom.

Davia Sep 25 2013 10:59 pm Yoona was quite the master manipulator in how she got back the husband she hadn't wanted for years from her sister how really loved him. I've seen other narcissists use similar poor me ploys and drastic change of character to appear to be a kind person to get what they want. Monghee who was brought up to be a people pleaser didn't have a clue and Hyunsoo who was brought up to be a wimp let himself be twisted around Yoona's little finger. But his smile looked fake and Monghee looked sad even with her jewelry designer success. And then the writer puts out a fake happy ending for all which makes this story completely loose it's credibility.

Eun Jung Sep 25 2013 10:22 pm I just finished watching the final episodes of this drama. It was quite an interesting story with three sons all from different mothers. Han Ji-hye did a fabulous job playing two different roles! She is such a versatile, talented actress. I really like the three brothers: Park Hyun-soo, Park Hyun-joon, and Park Hyun-tae. I have seen Yeon Jeong-hun in other dramas and I think he is a very good actor. I have also seen Lee Tae-sung before and like him. Lee Tae-sung is an actor I definitely would like to see again in a leading role. He’s very good. This was my first time to see Park Seo-joon. I thought he did a great job. My favorite part of this drama was the part when Jung Mong-hee pretended to be Yoo-na. I was glad that Mong-hee found success in her career. I wished that there could have been a love story for her that would have ended happily. The ability that the characters had to forgive those who had treated them badly was pretty amazing. It was nice to see family members working out their problems successfully.

The principal male character was a wimp that settled for the most comfortable mediocre situation. The principal female character (I do not register Korean names) was erased from the story, in I the usual pathriarchal most disgusting tradition of male chauvinist culture. I'm done with the Korean dramas.

Davia Sep 23 2013 2:46 am The recent development of Hyunsoo and Yoona's relationship is so unrealistic from what was shown all along up till now. We never saw them getting along, liking each other at all or having any affinity for each other before. Also I really do not see the point of spending so many episodes developing Monghee's and Hyunsoo's relationship romantically if it was not for real. The writers have sacrificed creating a plausible and engaging story for just trying to be clever with the twin trip. Why the writers decided to give Dukhee a warm farewell without any ramifications is also baffling. After so many episodes of what was an engaging story it leaves a flat taste for it to be so lame at the end. It just seems to me that so many writers now a days don't have any real respect for their profession and feel it's okay to just write what ever they want without there having to be any credibility of the story line. It really lets down not only the audience but the great actors in these dramas too.

Please don't overlook the main purpose of any 'product', and that is, to earn profit! Nomatter, whatever you feel about this or any other drama, there has to be enough varied ingredients to cover a wide audience.

Unfortunately, success is judged in the amount of profit made and not always the content or quality of the product.

So, just sit back and enjoy, perhaps, with a few OB's or Soju's. Personally, I find watching Kdrama a very comfortable way to fall asleep when the plot looses it's way!

Nevertheless, if you are not happy about what you are watching on TV, you have the right to exercise your choice and change channel or even better, turn it off !

Why not participate in real life by going for a walk or some other activity involving people?

The concern for the welfare both sisters had upon reintroduction suggested the immediate bond the sisters had. And given the opportunity to witness that her twin was actually a good person wearing a protective (Ice Girl image) shield that truly loved her husband, she rightly stepped aside to avoid contention. What floors me is that after years of abuse from Mistress Mother Witch everyone unconditionally forgives her to the point of tears and violins. After all the deceit,manipulation,lies it would have taken me more than the apparent remorse for putting her sons life in jeopardy to believe that woman had a heart within her.

  I'm all about forgiveness but  I would have waited at least to another episode to see weather or not she was just trying to avoid prosecution for the attempted murder of their loved one.
 I looks to me episode 48 was a fast rap of the shows family dramas giving the last two episodes back on track to make Monghee shine.

At least I hope so!!

ann g Sep 20 2013 1:23 pm I don't know why everybody is so upset at the fact Yoona stayed with her husband. I find it really sweet and realistic. It shows how married couples go through so much just to over come. Now I am ticked off that they didn't even introduce a fall back plan for Monghee there is always another possibility and so far we have nothing unless they plan on putting her back together with her first love who will magically get better I mean they did say she was visiting him a lot. I am grasping at straws here for her I know we watched HS and MH for however many episodes, but I prefer this ending because that will be really messed up if you have Yoona step aside for her and Yes I know Monghee has given up so much for everybody happiness, but I would rather see the married couple back together or both twins single. I mean the sisters have bonded and on the fact that Yoona left well she was gone a couple of months he was gone for a year I call them even on that note. Even while she was gone she still thought of him. I just have to defend Yoona I love Monghee to, but I have to defend Yoona as well. I mean when it came to Yoona marriage you could see the reasons why Yoona was the way she she was I mean it took two tango when it came to their issues. Back to Monghee she deserves someone better than him anyway someone who is not wishy washy with his feelings saying he loves her one minute and back to loving his wife after a couple of months. She deserves to be with someone who is willing to make sacrifices for her, to love only her. Oh well I just hope that there is a better ending for her and not with her ending up with her sister husband how f*** up will that be.

Yoona never exists in many episodes and all of the sudden it was hyunsu and yoona love story..there were no scenes anymore between monghee and hyunsu..not a good story..just waste my time watching this drama..

If it was an American TV show Monhee and Hyunsu would have slept together that they that they meet - I'm from Brazil and hate how we justify cheating all the time - I love how the author had Monhee to help Hyunsu and her sister Yoona and have the audience. Monhee will find a great love too- even better than the super sensitivity and sometimes weak Hyunsu.

All throughtout the series he's been seeking money investment from others, Yoo na's parents and Park Hyun Tae's girlfriend's parents. He has also embarked on renewing the business products. I'm sure that an astute businessman would have a tight hold on the balance of company and family money. How can Jang Deok Hee just hand out USD$1.5Million to a Blackmailer/lowlife, like she did and it not be missed or questions asked?

hang Sep 15 2013 2:44 pm I just watch ep 48 raw and i found it so ridiculous. Monghee was the one supposed to be happy. She gave up her dream for her siblings and now she has to give up the man she loves for her sister. Even though Yoona is hyunsu"s wife she did not appear for nearly 30 episodes and now Hyunsu loves her more than he loves Monghee. Isnt that ridiculous. Monhee heals Hyunsu's wound and changes Yoona. she helps everyone but now sshe doesn't receive any love? Monghee and yoona are from the same person but Monghee is the main character not yoona. Why now they make her a minor character. why does Hyunsu forget her so fast. She does all the things and now her sister gets everything. How fair is that. I just don't get it. the writers ruin the storyline by creating that twist. This drama had been my favorite for the last six months but not anymore

She may Be trying to change but I think it is a little too late....i really dislike Yoona. I really want Mong Hee to tell her so called mother I love you, but you treated me different and you were wrong rather than thank you for raising me and you did nothing wrong. Let this woman get some kind of punishment. I hope that the sisters don't let a man come between them when they have just found one another that would be to sad. I would be even more upset if they do put Mong Hee and HS together then what about Yoona. She has struggled as much as her sister and just because her sister fell in love with her husband she has to step aside that's BS. I don't care if she left and went away for awhile evidently the husband didn't care enough because with Yoona family power and his dad family power I am pretty sure he could have taken the the time to find his wife. I mean some might say but they love each other they should be together once again that's BS. A Wife and a husband have their problems that is what being married is and I feel no one should step in between that and that goes if they have been recently divorce to. Like with Yoona and HS they had a communication problem, but now we know that Yoona has longed to feel a part of a family that she will probably step a side so her younger sibling can have him. Other than that problem of the show I love the drama I just hate that twin sisters has to live with the fact that one of them took the others guy.

I am not sure why Hyuntae felt the need to run off to Italy though - it is like he is running away rather than facing up to the new situation. @ Davia: I agree. The mother seems to really think that she treated all the kids the same, but she was perfectly fine on spending a fortune on Jung Mong-Hyun (the younger sister) on education, designer clothes, and a wedding (that blew up big time). Meanwhile she let Monghee work from dawn til late at night, was fine with her quitting college and giving up all she wanted for the younger sister. All that just so the sister could get a trophy husband.

Just as a beautiful tapestry involves weaving a variety of colors of thread, a good drama involves weaving a variety of characters into the storyline. Even though some of the colors in a tapestry are less prominent, their importance in helping create a beautiful finished product is significant. Similarly, characters in a drama who do not have the leading roles add significant depth, richness, and beauty to the drama. In addition to enjoying watching Jung Mong-hee and Park Hyun-soo, I have been enjoying watching the scenes with Park Hyun-joon, Park Hyun-tae, Jung Mong-hyun, and Jung Mong-kyu very much. One thing I noticed as I transitioned from mainly watching typical two hour length films to the more lengthy multi-episode dramas was that I began developing not only patience for but enjoyment of the journey to the end of the story. This drama is very interesting and enjoyable. I look forward to watching the rest. I appreciate the work of the writer, directors, actors, cinematographer, and everyone else involved in producing this drama.

James Aug 12 2013 11:06 pm I HATE these long term series when the subplots start to take over the whole show. Ep 37 barely had the two main stars in it at all (even with Han Ji-Hye playing twins!). I like the young couples, but how much time can you spend watching them simper and mug and act googly-eyed? These long shows can run out of steam and unfortunately this one is starting to. The ratings have been constant which is why they may have felt they could play around, but remember why we tuned in to begin with and stop treating the main actors like cameo players.

Mong Hyun has been unbelievably annoying anyway in her lack of faith in Hyuntae but evidently she was right and he is as pathetic as her. "I'll leave you my watches....... duh!" So disappointing because I really liked his character. So next week he is going to go running back because Daddy let him?! LOL

Eun Jung Aug 02 2013 12:53 am I have seen up to episode 34. I love seeing Yeon Jeong-hun with Han Ji-Hye. They are good together. I loved seeing those two in East of Eden, also. Han Ji-hye is such a versatile actress! She really transforms depending on which part she plays. She can be really fun and then extremely sophisticated, too. Yeon Jeong-hun is an impressive actor. He is handsome and is always interesting and enjoyable to watch. I really like the role he is playing in this drama. I look forward to seeing how things work out for Yeon Jeong-hun and Han Ji-hye’s characters. I really like seeing the relationship develop for the characters of Baek Jin-hee and Park Seo-joon. I love the way Baek Jin-hee’s character is in this drama. She is such a patient, forgiving, and loving wife to Park Seo-joon’s character. I think her character is a great example for women. I really look up to her character. I also like Lee Tae-sung’s character. I wish he could have a good wife. One of my favorite scenes was when all three brothers had gone camping together and they were splashing each other and laughing together in the water. The grandmas are cute. The antagonists are very effective, especially Lee Hye-sook and Lee Soo-kyung. I have not liked Lee Soo-kyung’s character the most. She plays her role very well. It is sad to see characters who are motivated by greed and selfishness and who hurt their own family. It is nice to see family and friends who support and help each other. I look forward to seeing the rest of this drama. It is very interesting.

I love, love, love this man!!! Ji Sung, should've been more than a suppporting character in this drama....but nevertheless, glad to see him on screen!!! Oppa Fighting!!!

Blessed55 Jul 26 2013 11:55 am Splendid! This is THE best drama I've ever watched! I also love "East of Eden", "Jejoongwon", "Snow White/Taste Sweet Love" and "Vampire Prosecutor".

Absolutely love both Yeon Jung Hoon (Hyunsu) and Han Jie Hye (Monghee) together. They pair off so very well (sorry Han Ga In!), and they also portray their roles so convincing well. Always anxiously look forward to the next episodes!

BTW I'm very interested in getting hold of Yeon Jung Hoon's CD album that was released way back in 2005. Does anyone know how or where I can find it????

The only three songs sung by him and available in YouTube are: "All For You" (from his album), "No Matter How Many Times We Part" (OST from Sad Love Story) and "The Road to Me". Hope someone out there can come up with the answer. Thanks!!

Ernanto Jul 25 2013 9:31 pm This drama is really awesome, especially the role character casts was fit with every family. You can see at Park Soon Sang Family, look at the three sons of Soon Sang all of the have the character of Soon Sang, and looks real brother.

And look at Jung Byeong-Hoo family ( Mong hee family) Mong Gyu and Mong Hyun has some similarities in their face.

And I like Geum Bo Ra (Min Young Ae) and Han Bo Reum (Le Mi Na) acting, they played their role very good. I always laugh when look at their gesture and conversation, it's natural and really funny!

It's weird though how everyone feels sorry for Byeong-Hoo. He's not an old man and still capable of working. Even if he helped his daughter with the jewelry cart it would be making an effort. And his son copies his fathers attitude that it's okay to sit back and let the women earn the money and do all the housework.

I am so much enjoying seeing Yeon Jeong-Hun in a drama again. He has such a rare and genuine warmth when he smiles. I started watching this drama because of him.

Park Seo-Joon is a good actor too. Very subtle.
