tofu Nov 24 2025 1:02 am She is a great actor. I hated her annoying characters in both Love Next Door and Iron Family. She portrayed it so well and made me have bias that she plays as an annoying mother who loves one child more than other. And now watching her series Its beautiful now, started watching with this bias but after watching it changed my view. She plays any character so well. Will give a try for watching her old series.

I watched her in Revenant and now in Love Next Door, acting in both series as mothers but with opposite personalities.. and it's amazing to see the same person being entirely a different character. Gave me goosebumps actually. Hats off to an esteemed veteran whom the young ones should aspire to be. She deserves more recognition; looks are way too overrated and pure skills underrated in the industry.

Love how great she looks with short hair - such a beautiful facial structure. The more I watched her in "The Liar..." the more I fell for her. Keep on!

Kyland Jul 18 2019 12:32 am She is mighty talented. I always thought after watching Scarlet Heart she would always be cast as evil. I'm watching Doctor Detective, and woooow... she is so different in this role.

I really love actors who are capable of playing both good and evil characters. Sadly there are some people when cast as good, really can't play someone evil and vice versa.

I honestly thought maybe she was Park Ji Young's daughter or a blood relative of some sort, and immediately pulled out my phone to research. It's their nose and pouty lips, I think, but I agree with those here that think they look similar!

So I am both puzzled and amused, as an example of how some people see similarity that does not exist in reality. Yet, because TWO people agree, that misconception is reinforced. And that may go a long way toward explaining how a completely innocent person can be mistaken for a criminal.

Park Ji-Young reminds me slightly of an Italian actress. But I wouldn't say they look alike.

She is a competent actress. And she did a good job of playing the b***h-mother role in "Moon Lovers."

Retno Sep 21 2016 1:11 am i've never been so much into scary queen role...but she is different, her tone, her expression and her gaze are very detailed as a queen with full of ambitions... i watched Scarlet Heart ep 9 when there's a scene she is very angry to Wang Yo, and said "if someone tries to take what is yours, you must tear his throat out to protect it, if you must"... that line was very common as antagonist but she said it very scary and full of dignity...what an actress :) she plays her role perfectly.
