Mochi Sep 04 2012 2:13 pm I was friends with her when we were younger attending Japanese school together in Sydney! Can't believe she's so famous now ahaha! She's such a pretty girl but honestly, her acting is really bad. But yes I agree with some people that has noted that her acting is improving! I loved her in Looking up at the fool moon! And the person commenting about using an australian accent for the role instead of an American, maybe they can't find someone that can speak perfect American English in Japan that's fits the role? I mean c'mon, do we really want an actress that says they can speak English and then they use Japanese English that sounds sort of cringing? No thanks! Shiori fits the role perfectly for beck, and for sure, I prefer Australian English anyway! It's sounds so much nicer than American English.

Good luck shiori! I'm sure people that knew you back in Australia misses you! :)

becktodiffer May 23 2011 7:59 am What is completely disappointing is the utterly INACCURATE accent she used when her character spoke in English. The character is a japanese who grew up in New York - America/USA - BUT Shiori spoke in an Australian accent. How can the director or herself allow this to get onto the movie? This is as good as saying every oriental person is from Japan. Yeah, seriously now. But ok, she is cute and her acting is typical. Nothing compelling.
