Bio

Born in 1968 at Kangwon Province. He majored drama at Hanyang University. He first started acting in theater, but after a TV commercial he became a more known figure. He started his film career in rather small roles, but landed a big impression in 'Beat' as the main character's best friend.

Parul Shanker Sep 16 2022 11:17 am Watched him for the first time in Uncontrollably Fond and instantly fell in love with his character and acting...an acting if conviction. So many colors to his character...so expressive and artistic with all emotions that his character went throughout the drama. I am trying to find his Instagram to thank him but not sure he is there. Anyways, will be checking out more of his works. Amazingly talented actor ✌️

Just watched him in Uncontrollably Fond and really enjoyed seeing him in a more lovable role. Hope to see him in more KDramas here, so many I want to watch aren't available here. I feel like this actor is type casted for villain roles. Great actor. His visuals remind me of a tiger. I want to see more nice guy roles for him in the future.

Jim Mar 31 2014 12:31 pm I just finished watching the entire Faith series (called The Great Doctor) in the US broadcast on Netflex. I really enjoy historical fiction with time travel (old school Star Trek fan).

Yu Oh-Seong did a great job of playing a cunning baddie character who looked just a little bit like Elvis Presley in the Faith Series! Even better, he wasn't just bad but he was possessed and you feel sorry for him at the end. It really would have been interesting to see what happened had he gotten through the portal back to 2012 Korea! Korea puts out some first class actors - would love to see some break into the U.S. TV and movie world but the Korean style movie making is in my opinion, like the good ol days in the US... first class. Thanks Yu for your part in making this series fun to stick with till the end!
