Drama series follows Sun-Woo (Kim Jae-Joong), an agent in the National Intelligence Service, and his mother Hye-Rim (Bae Jong-Ok). His mother is a former North Korean spy.

ASMIRA Jan 02 2016 5:43 am i can't say that i like it because the idea of the story just closer to the story of ALLEGIANCE, and i have watched both series and I ABSOLUTELY will say that ALLEGIANCE (west series 13epis) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED rather than this_ the drama have the same idea for the story and i i'm wondering if the korean version was based on west story_ but after searching more news about the drama.. both series just based on 'The Gordin Cell'

YUHTHA Dec 05 2015 6:15 am I absolutely loooved it!! I actually a bit sceptical whtr to watch this drama or not but finally and thank God i did it.. I actually wondering where the thing went wrong that many comments said the drama is boring which is for me NEVER EVER got bored watching it. The story is well delivered, very realistic, and it makes you keep wondering and wondering whats gonna happen on the next and next episode. The chemistry between the Mom and the son is deep, the conflicts between them gave you a lot of learn about family bounding. And I even wish for action scene between sun woo and his girlfriend which is really happeniiiing.. Its good.. I gave it 8.5/10 for the storyline.. Its reaaally good.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED..

Rostand63 Nov 23 2015 2:26 am Got to be honest. Good story. I understand taken from an Israeli drama. The mature actors were phenomenal! Every one of them from Oh Yu Seung (watching him now in Gaekju) and Bae Jong Ok (another strong woman role in Kim So Roo2) and others did a great job! There's something about that villain role that Oh Yu Seung has made into an art-form! Binged-watched it and really enjoyed it!

ai uta May 14 2015 10:02 pm great drama! proof that a solid script by a confident team just needs to be carried until the very end. there is nothing such as advertising slots or sponsors could interfere with any of the storyline, no matter how popular/how the rating turns out. i'm thankful i'm watching this drama. this drama gives me so much to learn, so much to realize, so much to cherish. i'm anticipating the Director's Cut DVD to get on my home asap!

for a genre that requires the viewers to keep guessing, this drama did a very great job! i'm one of those that everyday trough out the show run-time keep thinking what will happen in the next episodes after episodes, how the hero will be able to get out from this difficult situation without any harm on him and his family? all character's different motives and actions were cleverly and humanely displayed, making it hard to actually hate on any of them. Above all, South and North Korean's dispute issue is indeed a heart breaking one.

Lee Yoonjin is the best written character, consistent trough out the show, and the most important thing of a strong character is, it still feels like us, like how a normal human being/ordinary girl should be. unlike other type of "girlfriend" character which usually only there being cute, pretty, and whatever for the sake of a mere cheesy romance and nothing more, she's way more than that! she's loving, she's basically a good person, she's patriotic about her home country, she knows what's important, but she is still like any other ordinary girl in terms that she wants to get her fairy tale comes true, but she's not losing her focus on what's truly important, badass i would say! gotta love her and ko sung hee because of this.

thanks to all the team, from the writer, director, editing team, actors/actress, make up staffs, styling staffs, and others for giving this drama your best. story telling, directing, acting, editing, styling, wardrobe all stand out and very special! maintain the quality until the very end, making this one of the best quality drama of 2015. thanks KBS drama department!

for those of you think that i'm exaggerating, then watch this drama for yourself before judging anything. your opinion is yours. so does mine.

It's is starting to drag in the middle episodes especially the dinner party at Sun Woo's parents house where all the spies attended! It was too obvious they all were spies except the sister. My God, they had two blackout spy vans and one car and spy driver outside the apartment!

Two, his sister, his girl friend, his office worker, and the prisoner all look the same to me. Imagine putting the same hair on all western models and then trying to tell them apart. I'm irish and german and probably couldn't. So please pick your women to look a little bit different so we can tell them apart...

Sirena Feb 01 2015 10:55 am ...good drama, I love fact its so realistic and camera work is simply amazing, it accentuates to little details which you can not see in other dramas (its more specific to movies). KIM JAEJOONG and Yu Oh Seong are great in drama, their acting is superb, I am not satisfied with mom character (Bae Jong Ok is grand actress), but her character here is boring so far awkward for me. Ko Sung Hee - I was worried and my worries about her selection were right, okay to be fair she got better as in NW, however its still weak and even worse in compare with all remaining casting and most pity is not chemistry between couple (behind kitchen scene, where KJJ natural acting brought you to think they are really cute couple together, but only this one time!). Plot is great, slowly development is a little disturbing (I didnt feel on edge so far), but I suppose that time comes soon Spy fighting :)

Sanju Jan 15 2015 12:26 am OMG......Kim Jaejoong is an amazing actor every move he makes is very realistic. The quality of this drama is superb! Bae Jong Ok doing a great job playing Jaejoong's mom. Even though it's only two episodes it's already amazing! KO Sung Hee is known to be a terrible actress and I didn't thought so but after watching" Night watchman" and "Spy" I'm convinced she's way worse than Terrible. She has no chemistry and her acting is fake. But luckily this drama is not a romantic drama so this romance doesn't affect the drama that much. So I guarantee to the viewers that this drama will NOT DISAPPOINT YOU! this is 100% Amazing!

Its just like the Taiwnese dramas "Fated To Love You", "It Started With A Kiss" and the Japenese one.. "Mischievious Kiss" and the Korean dramas that were also like these dramas too. It doesn't matter, the directors can do whatever they want. And it's cooler to see the different versions of the original dramas.

@Lena Xiong, I agree. I don't like her too. Not good at acting and weak in comparison to Jaejoong when it comes to visual as well.

Like come on, Jaejoong is a man but he's prettier than her. I'd like it better if it's that girl from Triangle, Baek Jinhee. At least that girl can act.
